Went here with a friend today for brunch. The place is always full and getting a seat might take a few minutes. I loved the bright interiors and the 15 minutes wait for the food was worth it. They have a limited menu and don't have vegan options. Would definitely come here again. read more

I tried more or less the whole menu and found everything to be very tasty. Adjaruli Khachapuri (in general khachapuris) is awesome. Just ask for a little more baking time at least for the egg white to set if you're not a fan of very runny eggs. When I noticed this place while riding my bike, I stopped for the dumplings -- assuming Georgian dumpling may resemble Turkish ones. They do not, but that's not a shortcoming. I really liked the soup dumplings, too. You can buy these stuff frozen and bake at home too, which I successfully did so for both khachapuris and dumplings. read more

This cute place has been under new management since the fall. There is one UNIQUE product you have to try -- pastila. Apple-flavored cake but tastes like fresh dried apples. So good! They are creating some unique lunches like the Georgian dumplings too. The bakery goods are fresh and the place is just a nice place to be. Loved coming here and experiencing the kachapuri, however unfortunately the how it tasted was just not my preference. The restaurant was clean, the food was fresh and my two friends loved their beef stroganoff kachapuris. For me however this dish was just too rich and heavy. Our order took 50 minutes to come and the waiter was pretty rude. We ordered one regular sized boat to share because we weren't very hungry and the waiter said "one order for 5 people?!" in a judgmental tone. Their system is inefficient --told us to put our table number on the iPad when there was no option to, which caused them to be confused with which table ordered what. Then they had to ask the customers what they ordered, which is honestly unprofessional and I've never seen that happen at a restaurant, not even with takeout orders. read more

Any of the khinkali and the bread bowls are a must try. Mushroom Khinkali is my fave so far. I can do carb overload trying out different food here. I think I have been here 3 times now and there's still a lot for me to try. It's best to eat as it's served! read more

My sweet tooth demanded a reward after a week of good behavior. I order Skalka honey cake and espresso. What a treat: not too sweet and no excessive sugar, unlike many American deserts. Delicious sweet and sour taste. I ended up buying the entire cake to go for my family. Great place next to Seattle waterfront for a break from a cold promenade walk and enjoy delicious Georgian and Russian treats and good service. read more

The Beef stroganoff is a must. Whenever my girlfriend burns our breakfast I politely suggest that we got to Skalka. She's happy, I'm happy and life is good, until you take that last flavorful bite of your bread bowl. I'd relate this feeling akin to Christmas Day after you got mostly clothes. My only complaint is that they stopped making dumplings. Probably the affects of Covid. Hopefully someday they bring back the full menu. read more

Do not order online. This is the most disorganized worthless front of house I have seen in a LONG time. Do not bother with this place. Waited over an hour past my online order time at the counter and then they had the audacity to say I missed my order when it was called and it will be another 5-10 min. Stay the F away. read more

Cute little simple and clean (and bright!) breakfast/brunch spot serving a unique meal. You can get different toppings. They have coffee, tea, orange juice, etc. The bathroom was really clean. It's like a pizza but waaaay better. Fam had the cheese, chicken and beef one. We shared and boy they were all delicious. Crust was soft with a hint of crunch. The cheese was savory and not too heavy. Mix the egg around, break some of the outer edges to dip into the center and you've got a little bit of heaven int each bite. read more

I really liked Skalka when they just started about a year ago. Since then as the place became more and more popular the service and menu choices were gradually declining. Until it became just horrible. First of all, it was tricky to make an order online through Yelp or their website. They seem to stop accepting the orders and answering the phone when they are too busy despite the regular business hours. Today I finally managed to order through Yelp way ahead of time. My order was confirmed and when the app said it was ready, I headed to the place for pick up. However, the guy at the register said the order is not ready yet. I waited for almost an hour asking about my order multiple times. Since it still was not ready I just decided to leave and asked for a refund. The register guy asked for my phone and order number saying they will call me back to cancel the order instead of just giving me back cash. Really? This is how you handle the order issues with customers who already paid you ahead of time? This is not how any dining business is supposed to be run. Just deactivate an online order option if you cannot handle the orders in timely manner. Never been more upset with the service. I think this time Skalka really deserved a negative review. read more

I had a layover between my cruise and flight in Seattle. I saw Skalka on Yelp and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did. I highly recommend walking just a few blocks from Pike's market to this gem. A little pricey by my Atlanta standards. $75 for 3 of us for 3 entrees, 2 sodas, an orange juice, 1 coffee and tip. Food was excellent and it's a large portion. We were really hungry and none of us finished a whole entree. Consider sharing unless you eat A LOT. Ambiance is nothing to write home about, but the food.....so good! You order at a kiosk and there is no one there to help or answer questions so you kind of have to guess what to do. This is my reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Basically your order and pay at the unmanned kiosk, cards only, no cash, then sit and they bring you your very tasty food. I had the veggie. It was outstanding. My friend had the Lobiani. The beans on the Lobiani were creamy and kind of spicy. It was an amazing combination with the other ingredients. The fresh baked bread bowls were so yummy.
