The food is Great and so are the drinks!! It's a bit loud but the atmosphere is nice. The service was very good and attentive.

Never had a bad experience here. Have visited multiple times and had parties before with the food always tasting as good as before. The pizza is consistent, beer is always cold tasty from tap. Play area outside for the kids . A good place to hang out in the summer with family. Would highly recommend anyone that's been checking this place out but haven't gone. I specifically asked the waiter, Steven, if we could order off the lunch menu and he said yes. then, 15 min later he came ba ck and told us we cannot. He should know, it was disappointing . .we waited forever for our meal. Service was great after the mix up about the lunch menu. Really unhappy with our experience here tonight. We used to come here every few weeks but the last few times we haven't had good service. Tonight we walked in with 2 adults and one child and were asked inside or outside and said whichever is quicker. We were told inside was 30 minutes and outside was an hour due to large reservations that night. We said inside. About 20 minutes in a group the same size that came in after us got seated. 10 more minutes in, a group of 4 that also came after us got seated. When I approached the hostess another 5 minutes later I was given attitude and she argued with me about seating people before us saying they had chosen to sit outside and the wait time for that was less now. I walked inside and saw that both parties that came after us without reservations were sitting inside. About 10 minutes later we were sat upstairs. There was a party on the patio so the door outside was open and it was extremely cold. We had a good waitress and the pizza was good, but it'll be awhile until we're back. read more

I came here for an event and reserved the upper floor at 1PM on 6/23, and the service was much slower than usual. How is it that they only have one person working the event for a party size of 80 people? They barely refilled the food throughout the 2 hours, the drinks were never refilled in addition the food did not come out until 1:45 pm when we made reservations from 1pm-3pm. They need to staff these big events, I felt so bad for the only person working the event. The bartender was super sweet but she can definitely use the support. I loved coming here for hosting private events and we've had two other events that went perfectly fine, but this time I'm questioning on whether to bring my business here or not. Hip hop hooray, oh No, this ain't the place, to Go..! It's more of a fashion show than a pizzeria. The young ladies posing as hostess was too funny. As they were counting their tips as I walked in. First of all my order was not ready when I arrived. After taking the Olgiasca pizza and their Garlic Bread home. Let me say I was a really disappointed, the chicken was extra dry and a bit burnt on the ends and the pizza itself seemed to have the bare minimal amount of sauce on it. This place is no where near as good as the Antioch location by far. Wasted some money here. You live and you learn. Won't be returning to this location. I know where to go from now on. Normally I love bbq pizza with pineapple on it but I saw the bbq chicken pizza today and wanted to try it. I hate onions. I hate onions so horribly. And I don't like green peppers either but I went with my mom and she likes them so I asked for this: Can I please have a bbq chicken pizza with no onions and add pineapple. Could we also get the green peppers only on half. Why did I have onions all over my pizza I wanted to cry but that's not it. It took like 40 minutes only for my appetizer and by the time my pizza came out my one small pizza with onions I'd been there for 2 hours and they were closing. No ranch. They completely forgot about my salad. I really wanted a salad. I got a lovely chicken Caesar and then after the pizza came out I asked her where the salad was and she just said oh no!! She knows it's her fault. I want my salad. And my time and money ;ambiance was horrible. read more

I gave this a 3/5 stars. Wait times were a bit long and unfortunately appetizers came out same time as pizzas so that wasn't great. They are definitely pricey! We did dine in, visit was late June 2024. 5 people with 1 mixed drink 2 appetizers and 2 Family/Large pizzas came out to roughly $141. The dip bread was not good in my opinion. Focaccia was dry and the olive oil balsamic vinegar dip was nothing special. We also ordered the fried ravioli which was roughly 8 pieces. They forgot to bring us the creamy marinara dip for it so that was that. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and Olgiasca. The Olgiasca was really good! The pepperoni was basic. Overall visit was tad rushed because it was almost closing time and waitress was not at all attentive to us or our table, but we still tipped nicely. Can't say I would be back for dining. Maybe takeout only for their specialty pizzas. read more

The pizza itself is excellent! So good! The best! It's the service that sucks. The service would be a negative 10 if that was an option. They're fully staffed. That's not the problem. The problem is that the employees are sitting around socializing with each and other, and not paying attention to their customers. For example, it took forever to get our pizza, I'd say it made it to our table around 30+ minutes after ordering it. The server drops the pizza off and 10 mins later we actually have to flag an employee down for plates. Was our group supposed to eat pizza off of napkins or thin air? Weird. Everything was slow or neglected. The pizza? Yummy! All the stars are for the cooks/chefs. Another time. I ordered the pizza for pickup. I was starving. I got dressed, and braved the night cold. Got there...and the employees inform me that they don't have my pizza. They closed early due to their company event. WTH???? They didn't even call me to cancel my order! I don't live next door! The manager tells me he will refund my account, and I can get a 20% discount "next visit". 20% off???? I deserve a free fkn pizza!!! So yeah, love the food...but that's it. It's really unfortunate that they have terrible staff. The food is quite good and I would go to there more if they had better staff. And yes, I've also been to the Antioch location, but I like the way the pizza chefs in Oakley make it. read more

Joe, our server, was the bomb! Not only does he get kudos for recognizing half our party as repeat customers and welcoming them back, he checked on us so many times to make sure we had everything we needed. He even noticed from across the room that one of our girls' drink was not what she ordered purely from the look on her face when she took a sip and had it corrected immediately. 5 stars for Joe! I started off with the Fire of Olympus. Talk about sweet heat! I could feel the burn from the jalapeño down my throat. I liked it! I munched on my friend's fagiolini fritti (fried green beans) and spinach artichoke dip. Both yummy with quite an unexpected spicy kick to them. The lasagna with the bolognese was fantastic! Hearty, beefy, saucy. I would definitely order this again! Love the cute interior of the restaurant and ample outdoor patio seating on the ground floor as well as the second! They even have a few cornhole boards set up outside. Hopefully, the wind will die down so we can enjoy it next time. The only issue we had was we were initially seated at a dirty table with the AC cranking full blast overhead. We asked if we could change tables, and we were accommodated without issue. This was my first time being here and I wasn't a complete fan of it because of the prices. 17.00+~ for a personal pizza that was just average. I could get unlimited toppings for 10$ at a Pieology. 9$ for a that small cup of margarita that didn't really stand out too much with the flavors. I came here to hang out with some gals so that was the most enjoyable part of my experience here. I also really appreciated the waitresses, they were really friendly and did a great job taking care of all 8 of us and made us feel welcomed the entire time. Overall, I wouldn't come back because of the prices. I think there's just better places to go where you can get more bang for your buck. read more

Went to dinner with friends Friday night. I had the shrimp pasta, hubby had some other pasta dish, kids shared a pizza and our friends had chicken piccata and a personal pizza. We sat upstairs which was very night. There was a large group so it was pretty loud. If you want a quiet conversation downstairs might be better. The outside space is beautiful! Redeemed. Friday night dinner with friends. Started with skips dip, margarita, prego, and black and blue. Service was amazing this time around. The restaurant was buzzing, packed out the door and waitress did not miss any refills, napkins, or boxes to go. We ordered (3) three small pizzas and each came out perfectly crispy and chewy crust. The black and blue pizza was actually my favorite with the mushrooms and sausage. Our friends were first timers and they loved every bite. General manager Victor introduced himself and gave us history on Skipolini's and was super friendly and welcoming. We were marched around the premises only to end up outside only to end up on dirty tables they said wait for them to be bussed. 2 or 3 people came out over 30 mins deciding who was going to clean. We were then sat at a wet slightly cleaned table and waited around 15 minutes for a waiter. Who began his speel with write a good review for free cheese bread. Then disappeared. Returned with water pitcher but not enough for the whole table. Still not taking our order mentioned again the review and left. Returned to take order but only drinks and said he'd brb... we were definitely ready to order. Another 10 minutes or more and he returns to take order. Takes our order and disappears again. After some time our food came. The pasta was very watery and appetizer was burnt. The waiter never returned to refill drinks. Or bring ranch and peppers etc until our food was basically done. He smelled of weed... he again brought up leaving a great review and mention his name etc but in my head I was like I can't lie and I'll post once we're done here. Let me just say that I am SUPER Excited that Skipolini's is now in Oakley. I grew up in the East Coast NY/NJ and I have been very picky about pizza out here in California. What makes a great pizza???? Well folks... it's the GRAVY ( and that's SAUCE for most people). Skipolini's has great sauce and to follow comes great dough crust and thickness. I'm a foldable slide kind of gal and that's exactly what I did when I ate my first take-out order from Skipolini's. Today's order: 2 Medium Pies Combination: Ground Beef, Salami, Pepperonj, Mushrooms, Olives, Bell Peppers, Onions and Sausage Margherita: Garlic infused olive oil, Basil, Mozzarella Cheese, and Roma Tomatoes I asked for extra "Sauce" for my Margherita and I was not disappointed. The crust was still crunchy (not burnt) on the outside and yet soft inside. They are definitely generous on my mozzarella. But oh Mannnggg... I can't say it enough ... their Gravy/Sauce (tomato sauce) is so delicious. You can actually see chunks of tomatoes besides the slices of tomatoes on my slices. If you like simple pizza... do yourself a favor and taste the Margherita! You won't regret it. Combination was just as good and portions of meat ratio to veggies are great. My hubby ordered on the phone. Staff was very helpful considering this was my hubby's first time having Skipolini's and she answered all his questions. Covid Pickup: 1. Pickup is located at the back of the restaurant 2. Tent and table setup for pickup 3. Hand Sanitizers available on table 4. Staff all wearing masks and gloves 5. Growing up in a Concord, Skips in Clayton was *always* our family spot to get my aunts, uncles, and cousins together. I have so many memories in that back patio area with the play structure and even remember way back when they used to give you dough you could play with (also they had sawdust all over the floor). I'm 24 now and living in Oakley, so incredibly happy a new location opened up right down the street! We ordered the pizza ahead of time and my partner picked it up on his way home. So easy!
