Hip hop hooray, oh No, this ain't the place, to Go..! It's more of a fashion show than a pizzeria. The young ladies posing as hostess was too funny. As they were counting their tips as I walked in. First of all my order was not ready when I arrived. After taking the Olgiasca pizza and their Garlic Bread home. Let me say I was a really disappointed, the chicken was extra dry and a bit burnt on the ends and the pizza itself seemed to have the bare minimal amount of sauce on it. This place is no where near as good as the Antioch location by far. Wasted some money here. You live and you learn. Won't be returning to this location. I know where to go from now on. One of my fave pizza places and 4 stars because service is hit or miss but more often a hit

Went here after getting married. Server didn't ask us anything personal at all. She was more concerned about a party outside. Drinks took 15 minutes and food took almost 30. Ordered meatballs that arrived at the table cold in the center. They just microwaved them at brought them back. It wasn't fun, inviting, or hospitable. I regret tipping and won't be back. If I hadn't just gotten married, that probably would have ruined my night. read more

We were marched around the premises only to end up outside only to end up on dirty tables they said wait for them to be bussed. 2 or 3 people came out over 30 mins deciding who was going to clean. We were then sat at a wet slightly cleaned table and waited around 15 minutes for a waiter. Who began his speel with write a good review for free cheese bread. Then disappeared. Returned with water pitcher but not enough for the whole table. Still not taking our order mentioned again the review and left. Returned to take order but only drinks and said he'd brb... we were definitely ready to order. Another 10 minutes or more and he returns to take order. Takes our order and disappears again. After some time our food came. The pasta was very watery and appetizer was burnt. The waiter never returned to refill drinks. Or bring ranch and peppers etc until our food was basically done. He smelled of weed... he again brought up leaving a great review and mention his name etc but in my head I was like I can't lie and I'll post once we're done here. I'm not sure whether to give this a 4 star or 3 star because the preggo pizza that supposedly helps kick start labor doesn't. It is however super delicious . I gave this a 3/5 stars. Wait times were a bit long and unfortunately appetizers came out same time as pizzas so that wasn't great. They are definitely pricey! We did dine in, visit was late June 2024. 5 people with 1 mixed drink 2 appetizers and 2 Family/Large pizzas came out to roughly $141. The dip bread was not good in my opinion. Focaccia was dry and the olive oil balsamic vinegar dip was nothing special. We also ordered the fried ravioli which was roughly 8 pieces. They forgot to bring us the creamy marinara dip for it so that was that. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and Olgiasca. The Olgiasca was really good! The pepperoni was basic. Overall visit was tad rushed because it was almost closing time and waitress was not at all attentive to us or our table, but we still tipped nicely. Can't say I would be back for dining. Maybe takeout only for their specialty pizzas. read more

The pizza itself is excellent! So good! The best! It's the service that sucks. The service would be a negative 10 if that was an option. They're fully staffed. That's not the problem. The problem is that the employees are sitting around socializing with each and other, and not paying attention to their customers. For example, it took forever to get our pizza, I'd say it made it to our table around 30+ minutes after ordering it. The server drops the pizza off and 10 mins later we actually have to flag an employee down for plates. Was our group supposed to eat pizza off of napkins or thin air? Weird. Everything was slow or neglected. The pizza? Yummy! All the stars are for the cooks/chefs. Another time. I ordered the pizza for pickup. I was starving. I got dressed, and braved the night cold. Got there...and the employees inform me that they don't have my pizza. They closed early due to their company event. WTH???? They didn't even call me to cancel my order! I don't live next door! The manager tells me he will refund my account, and I can get a 20% discount "next visit". 20% off???? I deserve a free fkn pizza!!! So yeah, love the food...but that's it. It's really unfortunate that they have terrible staff. The food is quite good and I would go to there more if they had better staff. And yes, I've also been to the Antioch location, but I like the way the pizza chefs in Oakley make it. read more

This is the second time we have been to this restaurant, the first to eat in and today to get take out. If you want food to arrive within a reasonable time DO NOT eat at this place. We waited 20 minutes for a small salad and a side of fries, after 20 minutes I asked the hostess to check on my food and she came back with a warm salad and soft fries. There is a strange set up to this place, lots of employees chatting to each other and not much else getting done. I tried to have eye contact with 2 of their employees that ignored me!!! I Must say I was very pleasantly surprised.Being pescatarian's we ordered a family size all veggies, and a family size tossed salad. Went to dinner with friends Friday night. I had the shrimp pasta, hubby had some other pasta dish, kids shared a pizza and our friends had chicken piccata and a personal pizza. We sat upstairs which was very night. There was a large group so it was pretty loud. If you want a quiet conversation downstairs might be better. The outside space is beautiful! Not only does he get kudos for recognizing half our party as repeat customers and welcoming them back, he checked on us so many times to make sure we had everything we needed. He even noticed from across the room that one of our girls' drink was not what she ordered purely from the look on her face when she took a sip and had it corrected immediately. 5 stars for Joe! I started off with the Fire of Olympus. Talk about sweet heat! I could feel the burn from the jalapeño down my throat. I liked it! I munched on my friend's fagiolini fritti (fried green beans) and spinach artichoke dip. Both yummy with quite an unexpected spicy kick to them. The lasagna with the bolognese was fantastic! Hearty, beefy, saucy. I would definitely order this again! Love the cute interior of the restaurant and ample outdoor patio seating on the ground floor as well as the second! They even have a few cornhole boards set up outside. Hopefully, the wind will die down so we can enjoy it next time. The only issue we had was we were initially seated at a dirty table with the AC cranking full blast overhead. We asked if we could change tables, and we were accommodated without issue. Omg.... this place is nasty... let's start off at the uncleaned table which was sticky and still had sauce.. then the menu that pretty much was the same ( smelly and sticky definitely old beer).. The kids play place had handprints and grime on it.Probably since it was first put there.Extra disgusting. Especially when eating hand food. Also kinda weird the management had their 4 kids and wife( youngist goin bananas screaming continously banging the outside heater mom on her phone lettingem run wild), there eating just about everything on the menu and a To-go stuffed pizza box that came after alllllllllll the other half wasted food. This was my first time being here and I wasn't a complete fan of it because of the prices. 17.00+~ for a personal pizza that was just average. I could get unlimited toppings for 10$ at a Pieology. 9$ for a that small cup of margarita that didn't really stand out too much with the flavors. I came here to hang out with some gals so that was the most enjoyable part of my experience here. I also really appreciated the waitresses, they were really friendly and did a great job taking care of all 8 of us and made us feel welcomed the entire time. Overall, I wouldn't come back because of the prices. I think there's just better places to go where you can get more bang for your buck. read more

Giomar was our server, and I'd recommend asking for someone else if you get him. This was probably the worst service I've ever experienced. I went out for a date night with my daughter and sister. I ordered an appetizer first and then my drinks while waiting for my sister to arrive. Drinks came out quickly. Once my sister arrived, we ordered another appetizer. (I received a phone call shortly after she got there.) While I was on the call, the server asked my sister if we were ready to order. I quickly set my phone down, and we ordered our meals. After some time, I realized our first appetizer hadn't come, so I asked about it. He said he didn't put it in because I was on my phone. I reminded him that I had ordered it before my sister even got there--before the drinks were ordered. He repeated his excuse about me being on my phone, even though I'd put the call on hold to place the meal order. Wasn't even on my phone when I arrived to the restaurant.. After that, the server never came back to our table. Other staff brought out our food, and when we finished eating, the manager came by to check if we needed anything. We placed a to-go order, and while waiting for it, the check was dropped off. During that time, four different people came by asking if we were ready to pay. It felt so uncomfortable, almost like they thought we were going to walk out without paying. Here's the irony: between us, my sister and I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years. Redeemed. Friday night dinner with friends. Started with skips dip, margarita, prego, and black and blue. Service was amazing this time around. The restaurant was buzzing, packed out the door and waitress did not miss any refills, napkins, or boxes to go. We ordered (3) three small pizzas and each came out perfectly crispy and chewy crust. The black and blue pizza was actually my favorite with the mushrooms and sausage. Our friends were first timers and they loved every bite. General manager Victor introduced himself and gave us history on Skipolini's and was super friendly and welcoming. We assured him we would come back again and try out the sky deck and outside seating areas. There's a second menu page with pastas and appetizers we have yet to try. I came home to my husband saying let's go out to eat tonight a a nd so I said sure! Then we drive over to an area we go to for lunch a lot and he pulls into a parking spot and says, we're going to Skips. My reaction was a but shocked as we lived next to two other Slip locations for years and he never wanted to go. As we walk up, I chuckle as there was a corn whole game set up on the small lawn area on the side of the building. Then as we walked up to the front, my husband opens the door and I step in. Thats when my jaw drops to the floor. I was not expecting a swank upscale restaurant, full bar, see through kitchen, upstairs patio area with another full bar, outside dining and regular dining tables as well. This place was beautiful and made the other two look run down. So we asked the bar tenders for the drink special and was suggested to try their version of a jalapeño margarita! IT WAS EPIC! Spicy and Sweet with neither overpowering the other. And then the chicken and capers with linguini!!!! SOOOOOOO DELISH! NEEDLESS TO SAY, Im going back for SURE! Let me just say that I am SUPER Excited that Skipolini's is now in Oakley. I grew up in the East Coast NY/NJ and I have been very picky about pizza out here in California. What makes a great pizza???? Well folks... it's the GRAVY ( and that's SAUCE for most people). Skipolini's has great sauce and to follow comes great dough crust and thickness. I'm a foldable slide kind of gal and that's exactly what I did when I ate my first take-out order from Skipolini's. Today's order: 2 Medium Pies Combination: Ground Beef, Salami, Pepperonj, Mushrooms, Olives, Bell Peppers, Onions and Sausage Margherita: Garlic infused olive oil, Basil, Mozzarella Cheese, and Roma Tomatoes I asked for extra "Sauce" for my Margherita and I was not disappointed. The crust was still crunchy (not burnt) on the outside and yet soft inside. They are definitely generous on my mozzarella. But oh Mannnggg... I can't say it enough ... their Gravy/Sauce (tomato sauce) is so delicious. You can actually see chunks of tomatoes besides the slices of tomatoes on my slices. If you like simple pizza... do yourself a favor and taste the Margherita! You won't regret it. Combination was just as good and portions of meat ratio to veggies are great. My hubby ordered on the phone. Staff was very helpful considering this was my hubby's first time having Skipolini's and she answered all his questions. Covid Pickup: 1.
