ZERO STARS!! Absolutely the worst dinner of our life's! First I'd like to start by saying that we have loved this Skips for years. This was so absolutely disappointing, I'm upset and sad to say they have completely lost our business. Our experience went like this: We arrive at the front to ask for a table of five... the lady said it will be 20 minutes or so until we can be seated OR we could be seated immediately at the bar (to get some drinks while we wait for a table) so we went with that option. Quickly got some drinks going and while sitting waiting to order our food we asked the lady about the dice on the table and how the game worked, she replied with ( we are not allowed to show customers how the game works because we have won to much money in tips from customers in the past) so that was a red flag to start. We sat at the bar for about 20 to 25 minutes with zero word about our table. So we decided to go back to the front and ask if we could be seated in the dinning area for comfier seats, cleaner tables and better service. We were seated. Quickly our food was ordered, after already being there for almost an hour. We ordered one appetizer soup, and it came out completely incorrect and not the soup that was ordered, also was ice cold. We then attempted for another 15 to 20 minutes to get the servers attention to get the soup replaced, then finally was able to get the correct soup to come out. We then waited about another 30 minutes for our food and that's where it really went bad... completely over cooked burgers almost like they where left overs and slapped back on the grill, fries that literally would bounce off the plate they were so hard, zero flavoring at all in any of the food, salad so soggy you probably could have ringed it out like a towel , and the worst part of it all ... the pasta dish was so caked in oil/butter that 15 minutes later the individual that ate it was puking in a bathroom for over 30 to 40 minutes because of it. All in all don't recommend anymore.. tables were extremely dirty, service was the complete worst , management needs to step up there game so much potential lost at this establishment. This will be my go-to Skipolini's from now on! It is much nicer than the other ones I have been to in the area. I love the outdoor seating area with a play area. We sat right next to it as the little ones played there. The pizza was great as usual! It just tastes so much better fresh instead of bringing it home. My daughter was there for the Prego pizza- no it didn't work for her,though she was hoping! But the rest of us liked it anyway( we asked for no ham on ours though). Love their fresh tasting pizzas. Besides the actual restaurant itself, this location has a better selection of options. We had calamari that was practically inhaled immediately! On point calamari- light batter. Next time I want to try their entrees- like chicken Marsala! I would suggest having chicken parmigiana added to their menu and I for sure be coming all the time here! The service here was great! I absolutely love this place. It's a beautiful restaurant with great food and excellent service. The Oakley location is particularly nice because they have a lovely outdoor patio that has a play structure for the kids. This is a great place to bring a family as their menu has something for everyone. The pizzas and pastas are wonderful but my favorite is their Italian chopped salad. It's everything you want in a salad. Nicely balanced with lots of pancetta and blue cheese. Service is always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for a delicious experience. read more

I am very disappointed with the event staff at this location for many reasons. I made my event reservation 2-3 months ago over the phone with the event staff. The date/time was "wide open" for the upstairs event area. I gave allll my information to the event staff. Then I was instructed by the event staff, to make the deposit at least 1 month before the event. I called multiple times this month trying to speak with an event staff to make the deposit. Every time I called the person is either not working or I was told the individual is too busy to come to the phone and "call back later". Since I couldn't reach anyone over the phone I was given a day to go in the restaurant to meet with the event staff (because the individual was scheduled) and make my deposit, upon arrival I am told "she didn't come in today". When Chino kindly helped, we discovered the reservation WAS NOT entered into their book!! I felt very frustrated to say the least and of course another event reserved the space. Dined at Skipolini's today with my daughter. Parking was ok, but I know if it was a Friday-Sunday it would be bad. Restaurant is newer and clean and atmosphere was very nice. Our waiter was very good and attended to our every need. Poor guy had to refill our drinks, bring extra plates and bring out ranch sauce and sugars for the iced tea. But I can tell you he was not bothered and did it all with a smile. We ordered two Caesar salads and a small sized pizza. We ordered pepperoni and sausage and half with olives, the other half with jalapeños. The order didn't come out quite right, but it was so good. I love their dough and I don't usually like jalapeño my pizza but I told my daughter it was a good spice flavor after I removed them. She had to eat a few olives but we both enjoyed the meal. My husband and I are new to the Antioch area and have been spending our weekends looking for things to do. On our way home from visiting a pumpkin patch yesterday, we saw the signs for Downtown Oakley, and decided to drive over to see what there was to do. We stumbled upon Skipolini's, and we're immediately taken by the delicious smells! I've been wanting to try this restaurant ever since I read about their famous "prego pizza" so many years ago, so the restaurant has been on our list to try since we moved. Not needing the prego pizza at the moment, we decided to try the Pesto Primavera, and Stuffed Jalapeños. My husband decided to splurge and also ordered a pomegranate Italian soda. The appetizers arrived super quickly and were delicious! Perfectly cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of stuffing and sauce. We really enjoyed this, and I had to be careful not to overdo it before the pizza arrived. Then came the pizza! It was beautifully crafted with super fresh veggies and the perfect amount of sauce and toppings. I would definitely order these items again and am excited to try something new as well.
