Binghamton really does do great diners. Solid food and service. Food comes out pretty quickly and you can get your whole hangover cure for under $10 here. It's also a short drive from campus which is great. It has a great cozy feel here. read more

a classic diner that's been around since the golden era of diners. some of the food here is really good, and some of it's mediocre. there are other diners in the area that put out food that's just as good, if not better than the skylark, but they don't have the nostalgia this place has of when you would come here late night in your late teens and early 20's. i'll start with the breakfast food. DON'T GET THE HOME FRIES!! i love home fries but this place does not do them well, which is very odd because they are a classic diner staple. they are very dry and not seasoned. i used to love the pancakes here but the last time i went they weren't as good as i remember, but the bacon here is good, as is the french toast. the scrambled eggs were just ok, i've had better. as for the lunch/dinner food, i love their fries. and their bacon cheeseburger is very good too, it's almost like an upscale version of Wendy's junior bacon cheeseburger. i haven't had their buffalo chicken tenders in years, but i remember them being pretty good. the roasted chicken dinner is just ok. the gravy didn't have much flavor and the texture made me think that it came out of a can or jar. the stuffing that came with it wasn't anything special and i didn't care for the mashed potatoes. as for their desserts, i've only had their cherry pie and the lemon meringue, both of which are pretty good, but i think the cherry was better all in all, if you're looking for a slightly above average meal for a good price in a classic diner setting, this is your place to go. i will go here if i'm in vestal and in the mood for breakfast, but if i'm in binghamton and craving some pancakes then i'll just stick with Danny's or Rolandos. read more

My husband and I have been going to the Sky Lark for breakfast whenever we are in Vestal. They serve an excellent meal for a good price. Their servings are very generous. The service is quick, friendly and they keep your coffee cup filled the whole time you are there. I highly recommend it. read more

Great old-fashioned diner that dates to the 1950's. I get the sense that the place hasn't changed much since. The food is fairly typical diner fare but is better tasting than average. Service is excellent with what I perceive to be a veteran staff. One drawback is that they don't accept credit cards, so be sure to bring cash. Probably not worth going out of your way to visit unless you are a Diner Fanatic, but well worth a visit if you're in or around Vestal and in search of a quick meal. read more

The Skylark is a great old-fashioned diner, complete with the atmosphere you would expect. There is always a lot of local regulars there and the wait staff is very friendly, just make sure you bring cash to pay with. The interior is relatively clean but it is a diner so don't expect it to be spotless. The breakfast food is great and served 24 hours a day. My wife and I go their about every other week for Sunday brunch and it is always a good time. If you are looking for a classic diner feel than Skylark is your place. read more

This is a great option for inexpensive diner food. If I could make this review four and a half Stars I would. Remember it is just a diner. I have only had a couple of bad experiences and that did not discourage me from continuing to eat here. The food is always tasty, prepared well, and the service is excellent. I am often out late in the Binghamton area. When I'm hungry and it's after midnight I'm at the Skylark. I personally think they have the best french fries in the area and I have never had a bad meal there. The only reason I might be somewhere else for my late night dining is if the Skylark is to busy to get into...which is a possibility on the weekends. read more

Nice authentic diner in Vestal. My food (Spiedie Sub) was dry and bland, however my families food (Gyro, & French Toast) was very good. Possible I just ordered the wrong thing, but mine wasn't very good at all. Service was extremely friendly and efficient, and atmosphere was great. I'm moving to the Vestal area soon, so I'll make sure and give it another try. read more

This is mine and my boyfriend's favorite diner. It's open 24/7, except for Sunday's (I think???) which works great for my boyfriend's second shift hours. Staff is friendly and we never have to wait for an ungodly amount of time. I usually get a bacon and cheese omelette with home fries and toast and that meal never fails. I've also tried the bacon grilled cheese with fries, which was good. It felt like my grandma made it for me, which is what you want when you eat a grilled cheese. The buffalo chicken wrap is alright as well. I don't have a complaint yet. I love the relaxed vibe ! read more

This place was my late night getaway for food. They are open 24 hours a day and the food is pretty darn good. The best thing is the price which is ridiculously cheap! I usually get the speedie sub or burger which don't get me wrong, they are good but not the best. If your hungry and it's midnight I doubt you care what your eating anyway but seriously, this is good old american dining food! The french fries here freaking rule too! In a small town with only a few places open past midnight, skylark is serving up hot breakfast 24 hrs a day so it's Vestal's ole' dependable. There is a decent selection of typical diner food (sandwiches, fried foods, etc.), and I like that they serve breakfast all day. My favorite is the French toast. Don't get me wrong, they are very nice... but since my purpose is to review whether or not the restaurant you're going to will have attractive waitresses.. this one will not.
