Skyline Chili was at the top of my list for things to try when we were in the area. Very glad we did. First of all our server was great he was super attentive and even brought out some extra crackers for our baby. I ordered a regular size 5 way and one cheese coney. My wife got the skyline dip. It was very good in my opinion. The noodles in the chili was interesting and changed the flavor from what I'm used to. I really liked their hot sauce and added a good amount to my food as well. Definitely gonna order some for the house. The coney was overflowing with cheese as it seems everything does there but it kept a nice balance of flavors and textures. The vibes were a mix of diner and fast casual, retro feel with the decor. My wife liked her dip as well. I will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Skyline tends to be consistent with the quality, which is pretty good for a chain this size. So far every time I've been here has been a good experience all the way around! Good service. Comfortable seating. Can't complain.

It's been many years since I've been in Covington, so when back in the area I stopped in here to try some Skyline Chili. Service was friendly. The place is definitely a dive. Food was decent. Chili tasted good, but didn't have the flavors I seem to recall from 15 years ago. Overall, not bad.

Skyline is a Cincinnati icon. Any time I get a chance I stop. This one was across the street from our hotel. We sat down and were not greeted by either server. Both were moving through the tables but neither acknowledged us. We caught the attention of Bri, a bubbly, knowledgeable server who was not supposed to be our server but she jumped right in. Everything was perfect after she arrived. I had the 4 way. Spaghetti, chili, cheese and onions. I knew what to expect with this and they were spot on. My wife had never been here before. She ordered the chili cheese fries and the coney bowl. 3 got dogs, chili and cheese with no bun. She really enjoyed this. To finish it off we had funnel fries. This was like fry size funnel cakes. Thinner and crisper than a funnel cake so it was actually much better. This would be a 5 star if the service didn't start so slow.

I have always loved skyline chili and stopped by this location while in town. The outside area looks a little rough but the inside was clean and the staff was great , was able to sit down immediately our waitress was really friendly and fast the food was really good as usual . Overall I would definitely come back to this location if in the area again.

Bri - bubbly, energetic, fun, and ready to serve! I would have given 5 stars except at the wait at the beginning. When we walked in, they were quick to greet and asked if we were eating in our to go. Once we told them we were eating in, they said to seat ourselves, so we did....and waited, and waited, finally we grabbed Bri's attention. She was awesome, time the food coming out great! All the food was great!!

We are from California and have heard of Cincinnati Chili. My friends in Ohio met us at this location and when the waitress heard it was our first time, she got us samples of the chili to try before buying. It's not quite like Texas chili, but it's still delicious in its own right. If you are not into cinnamon, or whatever spices they put in, the taste may not be for you. The texture isn't quite like Texas chili either. Being my first time, I ate the chili with spaghetti and "lighter" cheese and enjoyed it. Maybe next time I'll go for a chili dog.

My friend was trying to explain the Cincinnati chili taste. It's definitely different from the usual southern chili that I am used to, but it was good! Topped on a pile of spaghetti with cheese, onions and hot sauce, I'm come back for more! We also got chili cheese fries. The crackers were also really yummy! The cashier was really nice and helpful.

My boyfriend is from Cincinnati so I was pretty excited to try Skyline. I'd had the canned kind before but of course I knew it wasn't the same. Walking in I noticed the open kitchen and friendly staff. Everyone said "Hi" or ""Welcome!" We were seated right away. The kitchen was clean and it was run smoothly like an assembly line . Restaurant had a quaint comfortable feeling and brought back nostalgic feelings from my childhood (sometimes I miss the Midwest vibes). I ordered a 4 way with onions (spaghetti, Skyline chili, finely shredded mild cheddar cheese, chopped onions) you can choose beans instead if you prefer. I hadn't had spaghetti in years. This was really good. The spaghetti was cooked nicely and the sauce with the cheese and onions was just so satisfying. I recommend adding some of the hot sauce they have on the tables - similar to Tabasco but better!!! I also ordered the Cheese Coney and was very happy. The hotdog itself is smaller than typical dogs you buy at the store but it's loaded with so much sauce and cheese it's huge! I hope I can come here again before we leave town.

Gives "hole in the wall" vibes but our server was really nice! We explained we were first timers from out of town and she let us sample the chili before we took a true plunge. It's interesting! I think you need a really delicious chili to stand out in the meal, and I don't think skyline offered that. Everything was very basic: noodles, chili, beans, cheese etc were just Meh. The fried, chicken wrap and coneys were also all just ok. It was nice to check off the bucket list but can't say we will crave this in the future.

I wanted to do this review quickly so I didn't forget the amazing service from Ellie. She made our last stop in KY/OH memorable. She'd been working here for a long time and explained the "chili game" in the area. Apparently, there's a lot of competition amongst fast food chili around here. One server here has worked at Skyline for 50 years. Anyway, the food was very good, as advertised. This was our first time here, and there is a specific way you have to order. My wife and I both had the medium-sized 5 way raw. We wanted to try everything in our chili. My son had the loaded fries. The sauce at Skyline was delicious. Ellie said it was a secret recipe. It was sweeter than I expected and had hints of cardoman and other spices. I loved it! Our meals prepared us for the long trip home. We came in shortly after opening, and when we left, Skyline was packed! Can't wait to go back.

The service was great but the food - mheh. My wrap was all lettuce and ranch dressing- not much else.

Great food. Great service, fast and friendly. It is good for what it is. They could really use a license to sell beer.

The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. Literally downloaded yelp to leave this review…read more I've genuinely had the best experience at this restaurant, I was walking around looking for lunch today and I had seen city bird before and even delivered a few door dashes from there. Stopped in to check it out for myself. I was instantly greeted by the lady up front. I wasn't able to get her name, she had told me but I wasn't able to get it. I asked for the 4 piece tender meal and asked for a suggestion on whether I should get them house, hot or naked. She suggested the house since it was my first time. I went to go get my drink after paying and withjn 3 minutes my food was ready. As I went to grab my food, she thanked me for my patience and handed me a free 4 piece tender meal ticket! I just want to say this place deserves all the love that I was shown and please if anyone knows the lady's name, I'll need it for the next time I stop by. She had long braided hair and a piercing in her upper lip. Eventually I made it back to Findlay market to eat my food and I don't think I've had better chicken before. It was tender, juicy, and the house sauce is to die for. The fries come with I think Parmesan cheese on them too, pretty good. I will definitely come back for my free 4 piece and it's definitely worth the price. Thank you guys so much you've made my day! :)

However, I was in Cincinnati for the night for work and by the time we wrapped our event my dining options were not exactly plentiful. I figured this would be a convenient time to try them so I went ahead and entered their location into my maps and went to their website to order ahead of time so I could really just jump in and out. Ordering was not difficult though I was honestly a little surprised and how small the menu was. Do a few things and do them well, I would imagine is their motto! I ended up ordering the 4 piece combo and was told it would be ready in 10. I made my way over there with a few minutes to spare. This location does not have a drive thru and is in the bottom level of a larger building so I had to find a place to park to run in. This was surprisingly NOT easy on 10pm on a Wednesday night but I finally managed to get a standing spot (which imagine was dedicated for food delivery person pick up). I ran inside and it was packed with a super long line and a ton of people waiting. I was even happier that I had ordered ahead of time and looked to their online order pick up shelves. They were empty though the staff was calling out names and handing out bags of food so I thought, "oh it's busy and mine just isn't ready yet. I'll wait." And I waited. And waited. And waited. My bad for not going up to the counter sooner but the line was so long I didn't want to wait there and I didn't want to jump in front of anyone just to ask (I'm polite, OK?). But after a few minutes I got antsy and just went ahead and did the "PSST!" thing to the cashier between customers. And yes, of course, my meal was ready. Had been for some time, right behind the counter. I grabbed it filled my beverage and made my way back out. Back at my hotel I dug in and found that because of the wait it had gotten a bit cold and the fries and texas toast had gotten a bit soggy. Somehow, however, the chicken maintained some crunch and I found it to be quite good. I imagine if I were to have gotten it fresh out of the fryer and eaten it onsite I would have enjoyed it much more. As it was, however, it was perfectly serviceable fast food, but it didn't quite make me understand the hype. I'm willing to try it again, though!

Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.
