The first time I came the grilled fish sandwich was dry but had good flavor. The second time, the shrimp burrito was so full of rice I couldn't hardly taste anything else in it. This is the third time we've eaten at this location. The last time was a while ago and it was fantastic. We wanted to go back to see if they still have the magic. I'm happy to report that the food and service is still amazing!! I wish I could remember our waitress' name, she was fantastic! The staff there is great. The place isn't that big so it's a bit boisterous but not overwhelming. I had the epic shrimp burrito once again, it's what I had the very first time we ate there. I can honestly say that it tasted even better than before. Everything we had either matched or exceeded our previous meal there. In my personal opinion, the epic shrimp burrito is perfect. The flavors, the texture, the sauce! Each shrimp was perfectly cooked, it's such a fantastic thing to enjoy, I truly cannot recommend it enough. I paired it with a drink made from tequila and mango (can't remember the name) which was also quite good, went well with the burrito. My family loves Slapfish. We've been to the Mass Ave. and Gray Road locations a number of times, but Fishers is our favorite. The food is outstanding. Fresh, nicely prepared and tasty. Overpriced for the quality of food. I eat vegetarian & I do eat fish. It's often challenging to find healthy vegetarian options which aren't too spicy. Last night I opted for Slapfish after another restaurant was out of almost everything on their menu & I wish wouldn't have gone with Slapfish. I ordered the Slapdash salad with salmon & the only thing I can say was that the dressing was good. The salmon was so overcooked it was tough & the salad itself was basic, nothing special - lettuce mix that was too big to eat as is so I had to cut it smaller & toppings were sparse - a couple of cucumber, radish, & carrot slices, a few halved grape tomatoes, & some avocado. The server had said the veggies on the salad were roasted, but they most definitely were raw & it was hardly more than lettuce & overcooked salmon. Definitely not worth nearly $20. read more

Man we wanted to like this place. We were in the mood for seafood. Got some oysters on the half shell and they were pretty good for Indiana. But the lobster roll had too much of the spicy mayo to be able to taste the seafood at all. The whole thing just tasted like spicy mayo. The filling could have been anything. The breading on the fried fish was good, but the fish itself was very thin and oddly hard and chewy. The power bowl was the best thing we tried. That was pretty good. But 1 out of 3 didn't cut it. Then, I found this awesome cluster of culinary excellence in Fishers! Several of my favorites next door to each other; great atmosphere with better food and drinks. We were hunting for breakfast and figured, why not try Slapfish? Ok, you may be asking,"Who goes to Slapfish and orders the steak and eggs!?"followed by, "Slapfish does brunch!?". Well, I tried both so you don't have to. We all know Slapfish slaps at fish (buh dum tss), BUT they actually slap at everything (ok, last one). The steak was cooked to the prefect medium I asked for, the eggs were well cooked, and the potatoes are as good as your grandma's. If you don't believe me, go try them and then try telling me I'm wrong. I really think I got great value for my money, and that's how I judge basically everything. Wow, another great meal at Slapfish. I had Barramundi, grilled vegetables and a side of rice with their herb lime sauce. My husband had a bowl with a salad, rice and grilled Mahi. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. Portions were generous. We enjoyed the chocolate cake as well. Our server, Sarah was wonderful, attentive and personable. I really like the food here and have been multiple times. My favorites are the grouper sandwich and lobster rolls! The place isn't to fancy but it's cute and fun to have a nice dinner or lunch. My issue is that I've been multiple times and the service has always been extremely slow. My family and I are are always seated quickly but it takes 15-20 minutes before we even get acknowledged! We went this evening and waited so long before being acknowledged that we got up and went to Sangrita next door! Im a sucker for some good seafood but there are just to many other options here in fishers with outstanding service so I don't think I'll make another trip back. Bday lunch with mom. I hadn't had mussels in quite some time, so I was very much looking forward to the dish. It was lunch, so perhaps they didn't have the dish fully prepared, as this is apparently a dinner option here, but there was zero overall flavor. I returned it and opted for the fish and chips which was good. I'm 100% okay with a counter order, but this was just an overall odd experience. We were there for nearly 2 hours enjoying the company, but no one checked in on us during the entire time at the table. More than willing to generously tip, but no reason to do so. :( read more

Great place to dine at an affordable price. We stopped here on a trip while staying at a nearby hotel. After playing some really large chess across the street we stopped here to eat. We had the fish and chips, chowder fries and a bowl of clam chowder. We also had two beers. The service was excellent and they have both indoor and outdoor dining. The prices were fine and the food was very good. They have only been here a short time so try the place before it becomes a hot spot. read more
