I've been here many times pre-pandemic, and I recently came here for the first time since the pandemic. I brought my nephew and he loved being able to create his own pancakes. I like that they offer seasonal pancake batters to switch it up. They are currently serving the poppyseed batter, and it is delicious! Their other breakfast entrees are good as well. Just ate here. Really underwhelm service.: Server called me darlin' Eggs were under done Server was inattentive and seemed rushed even though there were only 4 tables of mostly deuces. Had to get up twice to ask for salt and pepper as well as hot sauce. Manager didn't know the password for internet and refused to reset server or acknowledge it was an issue at all. When I mentioned the situation to the server she gave me yet another incorrect WiFi passcode. After alerting her that her new code wasn't working either she got hostile throwing her hands up and shrugging with a curt response: don't know what to tell you?!! Make a reservation on their website to make sure you have a seat. Or do what we did and show up right before opening and get a seat right as they open! If you order a side to put on your pancakes (bacon berries so on) you will only need one for the table. We made the mistake and ordered sides for each person and had a bit of extra food. The intrigue with this place is the griddles built into the tables allowing customers to create their own pancakes. While the concept is alluring, you're basically paying to do here what you'd do at home for free. While you CAN make cool pancakes, doing so would require paying for different colored batters to even make something remotely interesting. The batters are different flavors, though, which is cool. Outside of custom made pancakes, the Grand Slap menu item is pretty good and the potatoes are amazing, the seasoning great. Everything else is your standard breakfast; nothing incredible but not terrible either. My girlfriend enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros and here temporary Hazelnut Iced Mocha. I had the Orange Kreamsicle which consists of Orange juice, Soda water, and vanilla, something that could basically be made at home... it was average. Overall, quality wise this place is pretty middle of the road for me and I probably wouldn't come back soon but it can be fun for a first time date or something. read more

The idea of DIY pancakes is cute, but in practice maybe more suitable for entertaining small children. It was surprisingly busy for a Monday afternoon and we were given an estimate of 20-25 minutes before a table with a griddle was open. Luckily, they have a text system that will notify you when your table is ready so we left a number and walked around the block to kill time. We got the seasonal espresso pancake batter with blueberries and the Pork Belly Benedict to share. The batter was kinda like a bitter-sweet chocolate with a hint of coffee/espresso. You have a large selection of batter - chocolate, buttermilk, gluten-free, vanilla, etc. The list of toppings was also wide and selective - chocolate and white chips, berries, etc... I had the chicken fried steak and was very disappointed. The potatoes that came with the dish, were a group of cubed cardboard-like yuck. V's biscuits and sausage gravy was a bit to salty for her. Overall we either ordered the wrong meals or the place is disappointing in general. But we were not here for us, the kid was very happy making his crazy designed flapjacks. Well this is the same concept except instead of meat and veggies, you drop in your own selection of batter and fix ins and watch it cook. "Flip over when it gets real bubbly," the waitress said. And so I flipped, along with some strawberries and white chocolate chips mixed in for good measure. Whether your dig is gigantic or maybe you spill the silver dollar more often than most, make it happen your way because this is your world girl and the rest of us are just living in it. Fun place to take the kids. Pancakes were good for the little people and the Classic Breakfast did the job for the bigger ones. Pricing for breakfast was a bit high - but that is the case with all restaurants these days. However, I thought it was a bit rude to have a 3 % kitchen service charge added to the bill and then to see the tip percentages starting at 18%, with 20% and 25 % being the next "suggestions". I believe in tipping for good service but someone would need to bring golden pancakes to come close to justifying 28%! read more

The pancake griddle was a hit for my son's birthday breakfast! Everyone had fun making our masterpieces! The seasonal lemon poppyseed batter was excellent. The rhubarb compote was a bit under ripe though. My husband ordered the regular mimosa and I splurged for the rose mimosa. It was way too sweet to drink. It tasted like pure syrup. We also ordered the candied bacon and it was super soggy and we chose not to eat it. I was a bit surprised the server never asked us how our meal was otherwise I probably would have switched to a regular mimosa and sent the bacon back, but we were even more surprised that our meal for the 3 of us was $80. The strawberries you could smell the sweet smell and how fresh they are. The batter was sweet and bananas were also sweet and fresh. We also got the bacon and loaded potatoes. The concept is very cool. It was a perfect stop on a vacation where we budget for extra's and things we can't normally afford. IT is expensive for what you get. 6.75 for a bottle of batter that the waitress said would make 2-3 medium pancakes, actually made 2 medium pancakes. I loved the concept and the kids had fun making the pancakes and being creative. The menu had some really creative food items on it. The food was fresh but the portion sizes were a bit small for the prices, imo. Services was very hit and miss. The "bottomless coffee" was refilled once the entire time we were there and I had to ask several times. They only gave me enough cream for one cup as well. We came on a Tuesday at 11:45 so the wait was only 15 minutes. It ended up being almost 60 dollars for me and my 3 children for breakfast. Not something we could afford on a regular basis but definitely on a special occasion or for a treat. Obviously there are people who feel differently because they are always busy. It was a good experience and I don't regret it but I don't know that we will seek it out again when we are in the Belmont area again. read more

She not only let all 6 of us store our luggage while we ate (because we landed around 8am but couldn't check into our AirBnB until 4pm!), she also let us keep it there while we explored around town!
