I'm a little ??? Did I grab the wrong drink? Because I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and I'm 99% sure that's what they called out. But it came out so fast and it did not taste like Vietnamese iced coffee. But also non Asian places kind of suck at Vietnamese iced coffee, so I can't tell if this is legitimately their attempt or not. I stopped by for an afternoon pick me up at 4 PM on a weekday. I got the Vanilla Oat London Fog, which I was pleasantly surprised to find came in a decently large cup for the price. I liked the amount of caffeine that was in this drink; it was just the right amount to get me through the rest of the day. There's food available as well, and a lot of it looked delicious. Usually I love a sweet and savory combo, but this didn't quite knock it out of the park. The toast was okay, but not super thick. You order at the register, and then you're given a number to take to your table, and the staff brings your order to you. This was a great find on our last day in New York. We ordered regular lattes and a matcha latte. Very pretty designs and tasted great. The Deviled Egg trio was a nice starter, with original, spicy and truffle flavors. Delish! The Chicken Pesto Bowl was my favorite, with some of the pesto not mixed in, which gave it a really intense flavor, so yummy! I visited Blank Slate for weekend brunch and am already planning my next trip!! Needless to say the food was amazing! The menu satisfied the many different types of eaters in my party. The food is on the pricier side, but the salad/bowl portions are large. I split the Blank Slate chopped salad with tofu and the breakfast bowl (no cheese and sub the egg for tofu). Both were delicious! The portion of tofu was generous and worth the additional $4. If pressed for a favorite, I'd pick the chopped salad since I was in the mood for a refreshing greens-based bowl, but the warm grain-based breakfast bowl was a very close second! It was very crowded inside, but we found an open table outside within one of the heated "igloo" setups on the side of the cafe. This place is such a cute cafe. The location has inside and outdoor seating. You can look over the menu and go up to order and they will bring you your order. The food was fresh and warm. We got the strawberry smores with graham crackers. The smores dish was yummy but was a little disappointed that the chocolate got stuck to the dish. The drinks were decent as well. We got the strawberry matcha latte but needed a more strawberry flavor. The Vietnamese coffee tasted like normal coffee. Overall though id return to try their other items. read more

We were so happy to find a great brunch spot in the middle of weekend brunch hour. Blank Slate is a great tasty coffee/latte/brunch spot. I loved my iced Chai latte which the counter staff recommended over the rose matcha latte. Our Rose berry waffles (Belgian waffles with rosewater berries and sweet cream) satisfied our sweet cravings while our breakfast bowl (Farro, wild mushrooms, squash, feta, avocado, sunny side egg) filled my savory breakfast craving. Both were super tasty! The self service free filtered water tap station was great. You order your food at the front and tell then your table number for a waiter/waitress to deliver you your food. There is also outdoor seating available. Only negative, the indoor dining was a little hot and stuffy - It seemed like there was only some fans going to cool customers at this bustling joint - we were hoping for more a/c on the hot summer day we popped in.
