Honestly.... I'm obsessed with slice. Especially their grandma square pie. I literally have eaten half a pie to myself. NO REGRETS. Everything about it is just so good. For my first visit I was quite impressed by the quality of the food in comparison to the price. I ordered as part of their daily specials, the pasta with truffle gravy and an order of homemade chips. Can you believe it only came out to $7?!!! The pasta dish was so delicious and had plenty of truffle gravy. And not many places idea truffle gravy on their menu. The homemade chips were nice and paper thin with just hint of salt and pepper. The restaurant itself if very cute with about four tables. There's also an outdoor area in the back. I can't wait to go back and try other items from their menu. And like I said they offer daily specials Monday to Friday. My journey began when it took me 20 mins to find parking .I then stepped into slice and ordered 3 slices then had my loyalty card punched .when i left and im about 5 mins out driving i went to eat a slice because i was hungry but to my amazement i only had 2 slices in the box and not 3 i immediately call the slice employee said to come back butnit will be a 20 min wait i went back took only 10 mins to find parking this time and a 15 min wait instead of 20 ..i walked out with 1 nice and hot slice and 2 cold slices ...‍ #misery read more

Absolutely. Delicious. I have eaten pizza from a lot of places in Astoria and @SliceAstoria just went to the top of the list. Not too thin. A very generous amount of cheese and right amount of sauce. I wish the dude would've warmed it up a little more though. Besides that, it's a really cool, modern & relaxed place to dine-in while giving props to the old school. Good pizza, friendly staff but bad calamari. I ordered a pepperoni pie and both my husband and I enjoyed it. The flavor is good, cheesy melty and crust was very crispy. The calamari however was a total miss. The pieces of calamari were miniature sized and ridiculously dry and rubbery. We ate some cold and some reheated in the air fryer, but nothing could've saved the dish. Word of advice - stick with the pizza and forego the appetizers. read more

Fantastically thin pizza with tangy marinara. Probably my favorite in terms of classic cheese slices in Astoria, although I think they could use more garlic in the sauce. The vodka sauce slice is excellent. Haven't tried the other menu items but great weekday specials. read more

This place is really aesthetic and clean! I loved the mural in the store. The cashier was also SUPER nice - she was so helpful and kind. The food was really good too! My boyfriend got the truffle gravy and I got rigatoni with vodka sauce. Both came with garlic bread sticks and butter :) Personally, I thought the vodka sauce was a little too salty for my taste, but I'm sensitive to salt. My boyfriend said it tasted great! The staff was great but the food....not so much. I can't think of a worse slice of pizza in astoria that I've eaten. Is it awful? Nope. Is it better than Domino's? Nope. I tried Slice, and it wasn't half bad honestly. Not good pizza but not bad pizza, which is pretty standard for NY pizza for the price. But then I heard people singing "Slice has mice!" And I searched it up myself and found out they had been shut down for a while for their mouse problem. They reopened and I thought "can't judge them so quickly." But I went in for a slice and saw dirty tables, garbage bags in the kitchen area and the back door wide open in the night, with flies coming in and out. Yeah, I got out of their quickly. Gave these guys a 2nd shot after walking by it everyday. Still not good pizza. Someone in Bayside said this place is the best in Astoria. That someone doesn't know good pizza. Crust is super dry, vodka pie was sooo salty, white pie was really dry also. Tried the bbq wings and they were both undercooked and not even tossed in the sauce. Polenta fries were crazy salty and all you could taste was the breading. Took one bite and threw out the rest. Regular NY pie was meh. Chicken Parm sandwich with vodka sauce was also super salty. Maybe it was the vodka sauce that was heavily salted. Too bad. First time we had Slice was at the restaurant, second time was delivery through Seamless. After My favorite pizzeria.. this is a very close 2nd place. I ordered one plain and one pepperoni pie. Love the crispy crust. I did notice a little bit of a difference in taste. Specifically the sauce. I preferred the cheese but still ate one slice of the other. Delivery was quick! Came for a slice during covid. They have two tables/four seats outside which is also covered by an awning. Solid slice not sure why their overall rating is so low. $2.75 gets you a plain slice, great sauce to cheese ratio and a nice doughy thin crust. Pizza was just ok. The service was horrendous. I have a dairy intolerance so I haven't been able to enjoy pizza in quite some time. I decided to look on seamless for a pizza place that offers vegan cheese and found that they do here. So i ordered a pizza with bacon, pepperoni, and vegan cheese. I am not vegan, but can't have dairy. Not that it should matter, I'm paying for something, so I should get what I order. The pizza arrives and it's missing cheese altogether. I call the restaurant and after I say my pizza has no cheese, the man starts telling me I don't know was vegan means. I kept trying to explain myself (which I shouldn't have to) but he won't let me talk. FINALLY he let's me get a word in and I explain my situation. He doesn't seem to care and continues to berate me like I'm an idiot. After being on the phone for a while and listening to this he finally agrees to send me the pizza I ordered. Again, I don't know why he took it upon himself to decide what I need or want. I call back to get an eta because I don't want to wait another 40 minutes. He starts in on me again before telling me 15 minutes. After 30 minutes I call back and before I can get my sentence out, he says it' on the way and hangs up on me. 40 minutes later I finally got my pizza. The service is very quick, whether you walk in around dinner time or after a late night out. Delivery was even quick. I ordered a large pie, half mushroom/half plain. Service was fine, but it seemed as though the employees were quite young and didn't understand the "rules" of a fine restaurant. Once I ordered about 1-2 friends of the counter workers came to chill in the shop. The workers were not so mindful of the other patrons and began to slap each other's behinds all in good fun. I'm not sure if the locations make a difference maybe I'll take the drive to Vernon and try out the other location but it wasn't all that to me. The pepperoni slice was not bad i asked for a little extra cheese because it looked a little on the dry side. The chicken and bbq ranch was not bad just not my ideal slice, i didn't order it.
