Came on a Friday afternoon 5/22 and there was only 1 car in front me. Took over 25 minutes to receive my food. Freaking ridiculous. When I got there, then sun was still up. When I left it was dark. First time here and was greeted by a friendly worker. The place was clean and menu was very straight forward. Ordered 10 wings w 7 different sauces. You get up to 10 different sauces but they put them in separate boxes based on sauce. I wish they labeled mine so I knew which sauce I enjoyed the best. Tiffany started us off with a happy welcome and made some spot on recommendations. I loved what I oredered (5&5) and the mason jar brownie. The food came pretty fast and was brought to the table. We enjoyed our time and meal and as I was cleaning up Albert offered help and finished off our visit with the nicest personality and leaving us wanting to come back. Our son will love this place when he isnt in school. We will be back!! Also this is the cleanest restaurant I have ever been too. Good food and service!! We shared the 7 strip basket, chicken is made fresh and lightly battered. Strips had good flavor but not like a traditional breaded fried chicken. We had fried mushrooms which apparently are no longer on the menu (not sure why because they were AWESOME,) but they made us a batch upon request. I would definitely come back if I'm on this side of town, I wouldn't drive way out of my way for it but it was really good. Really good wings! Our wings showed up not as warm as we liked but the manager quickly remedied the situation with new baskets of wings and all the sides. The dessert (strawberry cheesecake in a jar) was amazing. We will be back. read more

Food is good price is ok. But why is it that all they give you is two dipping sauces for 7 chicken tenders. That's crazy. If your dipping them and wanting the sauce 2 is not enough and if you want more they want to charge you extra. REALLY! There's no shortage of chicken restaurants to choose from these days. However, our experience at Slim Chickens was a tasty one! Numerous sauces to choose from for both the strips and the wings. A salad or a sandwich is also an option. Junior, the young man who waited on us to take our order and give us guidance, was very pleasant and knowledgeable! We appreciated his patience and polite approach! I chose the coleslaw as my side and thought it was delicious! My husband opted for the safer choice of fries! He was not disappointed! First time visit and it will probably my last!! Although the customer service was good my food was very cold, as if it head been sitting for at least an hour. I went through the drive through, he apologized for the wait which was a plus. I didn't mind waiting as I thought I would receive fresh, hot food. I should've checked before I drove off. The wife & I were in the area, so we thought we would stop and try it out. Not what I expected, but everything looked nice and clean, so we stayed. We each ordered wings & fries, and we were disappointed. The fries were fine, very hot and fresh from the fryer. The wings, on the other hand, were barely room temperature. I get the impression they cook the wings beforehand, and add the sauce when they're actually ordered. Everyone seems friendly, and it wasn't too busy when we were there, but I actually like my wings to have been cooked within the past hour when I order them. read more

We came for the first time, way after the hype died down. It was finger licking good! We got the buffalo chicken sandwich and the 5 tenders with fries and Mac! Everything was to die for. I purchased the 5 x 5 which is 5 wings 5 tenders, fries and two slices of bread, see below for my ratings: 2 honey bbq Wings- 2/5 stars -Over cooked and lightly coated with sauce, almost to the point I could not taste the flavor. 3 garlic parmesan Wings- 2/5 stars - light coated with sauce and over cooked, almost to the point I could not taste the flavor. 5 chicken tenders-3/5 stars -good tenders I was not a fan of the texture of the chicken tenders. Slim chickens has the slowest drive thru service in SA. Girl in the window was texting and gossiping with other employees. Their chicken strips and fries were cold. This place is pretty good and a great location not too far from my house. First time there had the 5 and 5, strips are nice and juicy wings were a little small but flavor was great. However, Slim Chickens has changed my life completely and it is impossible to imagine myself eating chicken from anywhere else on this planet. If there was one establishment that is deserving of a 10 star rating, an Oscar or a 5 star fine dining restaurant Slim Chickens would be all 3. Not even the most experienced and greatest chefs around the world would be able to cook chicken that contains 0 flaws, Slim Chickens is an exception to the word perfection and is the only establishment in which this word can qualify. I simply cannot fathom the thought of living life without eating at Slim Chickens. This restaurant should be on every single human being's bucket list and or pilgrimage to experience before death. After eating here for breakfast lunch and dinner for the past 6 months and moving cities in order to be closer to this establishment I have come to the realization that I cannot live without Slim Chickens. I beg each and every one of you reading this to get in your car or alternative means of transportation and drive to the nearest Slim Chickens to experience the life changing moment I have each time I take a bite into one of their delicious tenders. read more

I do not usually review on restaurants that I did not enjoy, however my boyfriend and I ate at this establishment saturday January 20, around 10pm and I wish we had not. The place was clean and workers were friendly, but unfortunately we had a terrible experience from eating the food. We ordered a 3 piece strip and a 4 piece strip along with one of the mason jar brownie dessert. As I was eating the strips I had noticed an unusual texture and brought it up to my boyfriend who confirmed he noticed it too. However I finished my meal thinking maybe that is the way they cook their strips, I had no idea what was to be expected when I arrived home. Later that night my boyfriend informed me that he was feeling very ill, nauseous and crampy in his stomach. We had fallen asleep, and I was abruptly woken up with severe pains in my stomach, to the point where my breathe was taken away. I immediately experienced some of the worst symptoms of food poisoning (I will refrain from being too graphic) and I was not the only one. I had not eaten anything out of the ordinary that day except for Slim Chickens, since it was in fact my first time going. I spent many long hours with pains and symptoms, it was horrible. Now, like I previously stated I do not usually make reviews for the public to see, but unfortunately I tried to call this establishment 4 times from 10:40 am to 11am (hours start at 10:30 everyday) and did not receive an answer, therefore I am obligated to write a review about my experience. I would not want this to happen to anyone else and being that I am pregnant, this type of sickness is dangerous to not only me but my child as well. My family and I went there Monday night for dinner and it was super packed which mean good food! So we parked and the line was a little out of the door, but what can expect it just opened. EVEN better!! We waited all but a couple mins and we were next in line ordering our food. We got up to register and we were greeted with a bunch of friendly faces. I ordered chicken strips and my husband ordered chicken wings for himself. He ordered his wings plain so we can try some of their sauces, we ordered about 5 sauces to try out ( which were all good). Once we ordered we went to find a table, the overall atmosphere was nice, they have table, booths and an outside patio to eat. We found a table and we figured the wait for the food would be a little while since they were super busy, but nope we waited the normal time, maybe 5mins or so and our food came right out. Nice, hot and fresh! The food is good! Chicken good! Wings good! Fries good! We will definitely be back there soon and try some other items on the menu!
