I'm a food critic. Ordered drive thru, when got home, (nearly 15 minutes), no chicken, just bread and dipping sauce. The restaurant has change a lot, not the same friendly service they had. It is a shame, I used to go every weekend, not anymore. Really sad, bad customer service. read more

The food was pretty good but the woman working the cash register (Ariel R) was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. We felt rushed and did not receive everything we asked for. So on fried pie alone they got 4 stars. I hate when people tout fried pies and I get the mushiest mess. But not at slim chickens! Also there chicken strips, albeit not seasoned well enough, are pretty decent with the right sauce. I had the sweet red chili which was right up my ally. Fries were seasoned well which is an anomaly to me but I digress. Sweet tea isn't as sweet as I'd like it but it's good. I will def be back soon:) read more

Hands down the best chicken strips I've had at a fast food chain. They have a massive selection of dipping sauces and they're really tasty, particularly the mango habanero. The Texas toast and sides are delicious. I absolutely love this place, the flavor and quality tower above Raising Cane's, Lisa's, Chicken Express, Golden Chick, and everything else in the area. The only reason I took a star away is that the last two times I've been, the normally incredible fries were overcooked to oblivion. UPDATE: Thanks for the speedy reply Max! Unfortunately I've always eaten takeout so I couldn't really ask for a replacement. There's something "off" about the chicken. It just has a weird taste, like a chemical or something. I ate one and threw the rest out. The fries are ok, it rather soggy. They got my drink order wrong, but no big deal, since the large cup was packed with ice and I only got three sips anyway. In any event, I wouldn't come back here. read more

Well, we've kind of kept an eye on this place to see when it would open ... we think its been open about a month as yelp has some reviews stating so, but my husband just recently saw that is was open some time this week. So he checked out their menu online and said we should give it a try as a family vs. just him giving it a go because they offered items that he felt that we all would at least give a shot for the first go around. Now we came here on a Sunday around 12 so most of the short comings they had I will give to it being a weekend, after church, and it being fairly new and busy! We had hardly any wait putting in our order, but finding a table inside proved difficult. We have a 1 year old so sitting outside on their deck would have been hard, but we lucked out after a few mins as a group got up and offered us their table. A staff member actually came and wiped it down for us with out us even asking for it, which for me is a plus. I saw that they had a couple mishaps with other orders ... someone I overheard when ordering had gotten fries instead of mushrooms, someone sitting outside hadn't gotten their order which I think was they were so busy that the girl who had taken it out didn't see him ... all just easy mishaps that happened. Due to it being busy it took about 15-20 mins for our food to come out. Everyone liked their food,it all came out correct so no issues for us. My husband got the 5&5 five tenders & wings with bread and a side which he got mushrooms. My son liked the chicken tenders, my daughter who liked the chicken was all about the fries and bread. So next time we might just get a meal for them to share because we ended up with about a meal to take home because my husband was full so he couldn't finish off their left overs. I got a tender meal and it was good, I might try a salad or a wrap next time though as it was really filling and I could have used some veggies! Any way we will be back, and they do have a drive thru which is a plus for us having two kids & a busy schedule, just check your order if your coming while they are new and busy, but that's a good practice regardless. read more

Place is pretty awesome!!! Must order the Chicken n Waffles, but try to save room for dessert because the cheesecake in a jar is so so good. The staff is really nice they greet you when you come in and are so helpful along the way to goodness. Location is great, however lunch can be pretty busy it is worth the wait! I ordered food from here from Uber Eats and they didn't include the drink I paid for, the extra sauce I purchased that was the sweet habenero one. They didn't put that in the bag and they didn't put the silverware in the bag, so I couldn't eat my coleslaw whatsoever. Uness, of course I pick it up and eat shredded cabbage by hand. Over priced. They didnt close the togo container all the way so the food got cold on the way to me. Totally disappointed and will not order there again. Also, food is basic, but you can get literally the same thing with silverware and a drink from chicken express, churches, or any million other chicken places that I would recommend over this place. read more

Food is great! Leaving one star because EVERYTIME we come, I order the Cheyenne ranch chicken sandwich because I like it. EVERYTIME the onion straws are left off. Most of the time they tell me they are out. This time I told the cashier and she said she was getting them for me. Brought us the food and said the onion straws will be out in literally two minutes. Here it is 30 min after we ordered and they still never brought them. You're telling me it takes 30 minutes to make onion strings? Seems silly to complain about but it's the principle. The customer service is terrible. Had I waited on the onion straws to eat, my food would have been cold.. or I never would have gotten them. It's now been 35 minutes and nothing. read more

Great start for this new location. Greeted when we walked in the door, cashier was friendly, knowledgeable, and upsold us on dessert and larger drinks. The food was delivered to our table in 7 minutes by a Mgr who made sure we had everything we needed. The staff did several table touches and checked on us despite it being pretty steady lunch business. We will be here often I am sure! read more

I decided to go there after living in the area for a while and give them a try. Was surprised by the options on the menu great selection. Decided to get the chicken and waffles and the fried pickles. Was pleasantly surprised.The waffle was fluffy and delicious the chicken strips were a little on the small side but all in all very tasty and will get again. I went to Slim Chickens yesterday with my wife to have lunch and ordered the BBQ spicy wings. I noticed that one of the wings had feathers and so I took them back to have remade. They apologized and gave me 8 and half of those also had feathers. After that I was done and requested my money back. I did appreciate them trying to make it right, but I didn't appreciate how one of the staff members questioned if I was sure they were feathers. Who wants to eat feathers?? That pissed me off and therefore lost my business. Never again. Next time staff take a look for yourself before you open your mouth. We all know what feathers look like. read more

This was the blandest chicken I've had. The sauces were bland and watery, the drinks were bland, and the fries were not impressive. With Chick Fil A, Cane's, Cowboy Chicken, and Chicken Express around why on earth do we need another chicken chain? The only thing they offer that's different is Chicken and Waffles. I have been here 2 times the 1st time thru the drive thru I ordered 33.00 worth of food and waited 42 min for the food. The Mgr ended up giving the food free but by the time we ate it it was all cold. He also gave us a 25.00 gift card. We went back and ate there the card wasn't active. They gave it to us anyway we we explained & the Mgr was there. So is the chicken life changing no! Our first visit here and it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The line moved pretty quickly and ordering was easy. My husband and I both ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries and we also ordered 2 kids' tender meals for the kiddos. Plenty of options for drinks and the tea was tasty- I did unsweetened with a splash of peach tea. The lemonade was definitely not real lemonade like that other famous chicken place so if you're expecting that, don't get too excited. When our food arrived I noticed that my wrap looked much larger than my husband's. Chalking it up to me seeing things I took a few bites and didn't say anything. It wasn't until my husband mentioned that my wrap looked larger that we compared and his was literally half the size of mine in thickness and weight. We switched because he always eats more than me and I felt sorry for him, lol. The chicken itself was good and fresh but the fries were too salty. We liked the toast but noticed that it got chewy very quickly. It was clean inside, which I took as a good sign because of how many people were there. We also had to ask several times for sauces and the ones we had- ranch, sweet and sour and buffalo- were tasty. The dessert jars looked yummy and I'd like to go back to try them. Tonight I came in with my boyfriend. It was his first time, but I've eaten here twice and had a pretty good experience. This time however, was amazing! Mitchell showed us through the entire menu and gave recommendations and also let us sample their new sauce. I ordered wings and requested flats, but my order came out mixed. He fixed it for me and offered us a dessert on the house. My boyfriend has the fried chicken sandwich and loved it too. Working full time in the restaurant industry as a server, I KNOW genuine hospitality and kindness when I see it. This was a go-to place for my family for a while- good, fresh food, clean dining area, and great service. I really enjoyed their various dipping sauces and desserts. However, I ate there with a group of people one night, and another guy and I got really sick afterward. We discovered that we were the only two people in the group that had the cayenne ranch dipping sauce. I called the restaurant the next day and told the manager. I decided to try this place out cause I'm a wing lover and I'm always delivering to the funeral home across the street. I ordered the 5 tenders and 5 wing plate. I asked for fried mushrooms but still got fries.....but they didnt charge me for the mushrooms so no biggie. The tenders were surprisingly really good. Especially with the ranch. And I got the Mango Habanero sauce but it was just ok. Not very Habaneroey at all. But decent. The wings were good as well. I got the "inferno" and "teriyaki" flavors. The inferno had a good taste but wasnt that hot at all. But I didnt really expect it to be. The teriyaki was delicious. The bread was good too. No complaints there.
