I cannot recommend Small Paws Cremations highly enough. Unfortunately, I have had to go through pet cremation several times in Los Angeles over the years, and I can honestly say that this was by far the best experience I have ever had. From the very first phone call, Romo treated my beloved Kitty with kindness, dignity, compassion, and genuine respect. He stayed in touch throughout the entire process, answered every question, and made an incredibly difficult time a little easier. The attention to detail was beyond anything I expected. They created a beautiful memorial package that included a custom engraved urn, a framed photo, paw prints, a personalized poem, and several thoughtful keepsakes. Everything was beautifully presented and handled with so much care. What touched me the most was that Kitty was never treated as just another pet. 2025 ended on a bittersweet ending for our family. Our beloved Bentley passed in my arms on Christmas during our family Holiday vacation in Glamis. Losing a pet is never easy but Rommel and his crew at Small Paws Cremations did an amazing job making the process a peaceful and less stressful one for our entire family. Our beloved 15 year old Boston Terrier's health was quickly deteriorating and we could tell that he was suffering more and more as each day passed. Rommel helped coordinate an in home visit with a wonderful vet and he personally came to our home to pick up Boba after we said our final goodbyes. I recently received my cat Kenji's cremation package, and I truly can't thank Small Paws Cremations enough for the care and compassion they showed from start to finish. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly responsive and communicative. They were able to pick Kenji up within just a couple of hours of his passing, and they handled him with such gentleness and respect. That meant everything to me during such a painful moment. The entire process took about two and a half to three weeks, which felt very reasonable, and I was kept informed along the way. Their pricing was also very fair compared to other services I looked into, which I really appreciated. When I received his cremation package, I was honestly blown away by how beautiful and thoughtful everything was. The presentation alone showed how much they truly care. The framed poem with his photos, the handwritten cards, and all the personalized touches made this feel so much more meaningful and personal. The ceramic paw prints were especially special to me. Being able to see and touch something that represents him brought me a level of comfort I didn't expect. Small Paws Cremations provides a wonderful service to the SFV community and I am grateful we found them after suddenly and tragically losing our Min Pin named Dog after so many years together. When your pet passes away unexpectedly, you're not really given a lot of time to figure out what to do. Everything is in chaos, you are trying to coordinate everything on top of dealing with the grief of the fresh loss. I used ChatGPT to look up cremation services and called a few, but Small Paws was the one we went with because when we called Romo was so compassionate and took the time to explain the processes and costs kindly and without rushing us, which not every place did. While they weren't the least expensive, they also weren't the most expensive and they help you out by allowing you to split up payment into 2 parts. That was greatly appreciated. Ultimately, I know I made the right choice because everything went so well with Small Paws every step of the way. I just received delivery of Dog's cremains as well as the other items we decided on. Everything came beautifully packaged and I actually cried when I had a chance to sit down and read the pet poem. I highly recommend Small Paws to anyone else who might find themselves in need of pet after-life services. They will take good care of you and your pet.

As someone who always has multiple dogs, (always 2+) that also means I've dealt with loss multiple times. I'm blessed that the dogs I adopt lead long wonderful lives but it's never easy when they pass. My 16.5 year old Lennox passed peacefully at home on Feb 12. I've gone with other private cremation providers before but because he passed in the evening 8:30 pm that meant I had to wait until the morning to find a cremation place to pick him up. The only place I found that was open very early was Small Paws and I saw that they were located relatively close to me. I called and Romo answered and he was able to pick up my Lenny within a couple hours. Romo was friendly, answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable and took his time. He was gentle with Lenny and I can tell that he does this because he truly wants to provide a good option for pet parents for cremation services. He was communicative and when I received Lennox back a few weeks later, what I received exceeded my expectations. The care, the detail, everything was executed properly. I really felt like he returned my baby with dignity and I was glad to have him home. The artwork from Ariel, the remembrance artist was so beautiful, I can't wait to frame it. All the products were good quality and I was so happy with my decision. I have gone to other cremation services in the past, but this was the best experience I had. Price, service and good products, Small Paws did it all. Thank you Romo, Ariel and the rest of your team for bringing my Lenny home. If you are looking for a cremation service, look no further than Small Paws.

The kindness and understanding during this difficult time was greatly appreciated. My dog's ashes were delivered in a lovely wood box with my dog's picture on the front. Romo also brought Franklin's paw prints, and certificates to my home. I hope I will never need this service again, but if I do, I will call Small Paws Cremations.

Our Papillion, Paris, who was with us for over 17 years passed recently. She was a dear, dear member of our family. She grew up with our kids. Small Paws Cremations sent their representative, Tony, to our home to pick up her remains. Tony was genuinely sympathetic and respectful of our grief. He walked us through various options for Paris' cremains and her tribute. There was no rush. We were able to take our time (a few days) to decide exactly how we wanted to take care of our loyal and loving dog. Tony went above and beyond, taking Paris' blanket to have it washed without charge. All prices were more than fair. We picked a beautiful box for Paris' cremains and had it engraved. When Tony took Paris' body, he was so gentle with it that it brought us to tears. He treated Paris as his own. Tony returned to our home and presented us with Paris' cremains, and accompanying remembrances. They were placed in a large, beautiful box with flowers! Her blanket was returned to us clean, folded & in a plastic bag with her name on it. My family and I thank Tony and Small Paws Cremations for their outstanding service and products. More importantly, we deeply appreciate their taking such good care of our Paris. Tony, thank you for your professionalism and, more importantly, your kindness. "Thank you Romo for taking care of us and our precious Peanut." We didn't know what to expect when Peanut crossed over the rainbow bridge. From the first call, Romo was kind, patient, and polite. He arrived within 2 hours and brought a small gurney with the cutest blanket. He allowed us to spend time with Peanut and never rushed us. We walked out with Peanut paying tribute by holding and pushing the gurney to the van. As I watched Peanut being put in the van, I lost it, my tears came pouring down. Romo being a pet parent understood the loss of a fur baby, so he reassured me that he would be gentle with Peanut's transport and made sure to call me when he arrived. Being in a sad and heartbroken state of mind, I'm so thankful I found Small Paws and getting to know Romo. He made us feel better and took care of our needs. Within 2 weeks, Romo called and said Peanut was ready to return home and he would hand deliver, making sure he arrives home safely. My husband's childhood dog, Kobe, passed away last month at 17 and we had Small Paw Cremations take care of everything. He was so so beloved by everyone and he will be missed so much. Romo came to the house to pick up Kobe and he was so kind and gave us all of the time we needed to say goodbye and he treated Kobe so respectfully and cared a lot about him and his life he lived. We got some of the items from him like his paw prints and ashes and fur. It came with a super tender poem and a sweet hand written card and a page about dogs lives and them passing on and being happy. Losing a pet is never easy and something you will never be ready for. Sadly for my Lily, I had to prepare myself for the inevitable when the vet told me she was really sick and wouldn't have much time left. I did a lot of research before choosing to go with Small Paws and I'm so glad I chose them. My little girl passed at home peacefully but we were lost on what to do or where to take her. I'm so grateful for Tony who answered my call right away and was at my house within the hour to pick up Lily's body. All the care that I was shown and the attention to detail was beyond beautiful. When I lost my Ashley, my precious cat I really dont know what to do, she was covered in blanket and placed in the box in front of our house! My friend told me about cremation and honestly I didn't have any idea that there is such thing... she send me links for me to see and get idea for what is it and I finally get what she meant. I started to call places doing cremations for pets... I called some companies but since that was Saturday so most of them will be open from Monday so I was really desperate and dont know what to do because I cannot keep her until Monday just like that! Then I saw this Small Paws from Yelp recommendation! I called them and ROMO explained me everything about it but I didnt confirm yet its kinda expensive! I searched again and found another company and it gave me much cheaper price but when I proceed with online application, the prices that they have is just a base price and theres a lot of add ons that necessary so if u will sum up it will be much more expensive! So I decided to call ROMO again to confirm! The best thing about them is they have pick up and drop off service that is really so convenient and its SAME DAY pick up! He said that time theres a lot of pets dying because of the heat but he managed to come after few hours. So he finally came and explained everything that will happen and talking to him u will really feel his sympathy. He finally took Ashley... he have stretcher and put her in his cute little van with his company name in it. The van was very neat and secured that u will not be worried for your pet. So thats it we just wait for them to finish her cremation and they will drop us her ashes once its done. I will say the service is EXCELLENT! When he finally delivered the ashes we received it in a paper bag with small pink pouch where her ashes is and another one with her whiskers, folders with her paw print, her picture with a poem that is very touching and the certificate. Everything is awesome and they did a very good job! I just had to say good-bye to my Kimba yesterday. I had called Romo on Sunday and asked him about his services, not knowing what was going to happen, but wanted to make sure I had after care prepared in case the news was bad on Monday. Well, it wasn't good and I had to say my good-byes. Romo was amazing! The fact that I called and arranged for an evening pick up wasn't a problem at all. Romo came, let me spend more time with my boy before they left and even texted to let me know my boy had made it to the crematorium and he would stay in touch and let me know when he is ready to come home. It was such an amazing experience at such a sad time. I feel very safe knowing my precious angel is in such good protective hands. I will update this review once I receive my boys ashes back. Updated 10/2/24 Well, I just got back Kimmy's remains and so wonderful to have him back! He came back much quicker than estimated, within a week when they thought it would be two to three weeks. He came in a beautiful blue velvet bag that fit perfectly in the "urn" I had for him. I had also chosen to have his paws imprinted in plaster and wanted some hair, which came in a lovely glass heart (that I wasn't expecting), along with a beautiful poem with a picture I provided of my beautiful boy. So much more than I ever expected. In tears again, but this time happy! Oh, and such a lovely handwritten sympathy card as well. I highly recommend Small Paws! They are both professional and caring! During this difficult time Romo was very kind & compassionate; his service was greatly appreciated. Our beloved dog Bella was picked up from our home with care. We received her ashes back in less than a week. We didn't order the urn through his company, since we had already had a specific type of urn in mind that we ordered from another company, but he does offers several beautiful urn/ wooden box options too on his website. Despite being delivered in person without the urn, Bella's ashes were presented beautifully in 2 layers of fabric bags ( 1 blue tule bag with pretty gold foil pattern & 1 pink velvet bag) Also we received a nice hand/written condolence card, nicely printed poem with Bella's picture, and memorial certificate. We recently lost our Cinnamon (Netherland Dwarf Bunny) after 11 years and although we knew this day would come, we had no definite plans on what we were going to do. ROMO (the owner) has not only been wonderful from beginning to end, but also very comforting to know that there's a service out there for our family members! He showed up at the hospital early so that when my beloved was ready to be transferred, he'd be there ready to receive! Loved that! I had lost my fur baby at the start of the year. I reached out to Romo and he made the entire experience pain free. He was communicative the entire way and extremely empathetic. I lost it when I carried my fur baby to the car. Romo made sure that Chloe had her own bed in the van and made it as comfortable for her. Our sweet 2-year-old cat, Doc, died unexpectedly this past week. We discussed burying him in the backyard but the more we thought about it we decided it would be much better for all of us to have him cremated. I researched our choices online and found that Small Paws Cremations was the correct choice. From the moment we contacted them by phone, Romo, our contact throughout the process arrived within an hour or so. He was extremely respectful of our grief and allowed us time to say our goodbyes before gently carrying Doc to his vehicle. We were notified each day as to where Doc was in the process of his care and when to expect his cremains to be returned. We chose Package 2 which included picking up of his remains, an individual cremations and ink Paw print along with a poem and photo of him. The staff at Small Paws Cremations was very professional, efficient and most of all respectful. They made the entire process much easier to accept. A friend recommended Small Paws when we unexpectedly lost our dog a few weeks ago. Rommel from Small Paws came out, within the hour, to pick up our pup; Rommel was very kind, respectful and empathetic, which we appreciated given our shock and sadness at the sudden loss. I lost my beloved hamster earlier this month and stumbled across Small Paws Cremations online. I gave them a call and was promptly helped. After speaking with Tony on the phone, he said that he would be able to arrive at my house within 30-45 minutes. Tony arrived to my house and handled my dear hamster with care. Words cannot describe how amazing Rommel and Tony are.. I been searching for good hands to take care of my little angels as they move on and cross the rainbow bridge and I can now say I found them. Although Pirate had a long life of 17 years, it was still hard to lose a cherished member of our family. We lost our beloved Yorkie Sprinkles in the early morning of July 5th. He was 16 years and 4 months and became our family member when he was only 10 weeks old. Grief overwhelmed us and SP cremations came to the rescue. I called them around 6.15 am and Tony was home in less than 2 hours to pick him. I've been having a hard year - have lost two dogs this year. The first dog I lost, I got cremated through the business the hospital just sent the body to and my second dog Pacino, passed away at my home. So here I sat with my dog that had passed away and started yelping cremation. I had fully planned to bury her in the backyard but realized that plan maybe wasn't the best plan...I came to yelp and found small paws - first thing, their phone lines are open past 5... it was 8:30 and they answered. I let them know I was on a budget and they offered me a yelp discount. They were so caring and just know exactly what to say. next they literally picked her up at 10 pm same day. I was so grateful because I felt weird having her in her current state. From pick up to drop off, they're so personable and caring with you, the situation and your pet. the package I purchased included a beautiful poem and printed photo, ink prints of her paws, her ashes in a velvet bag and a hand written card. last thing was I had agreed on a date for drop off and messed up! Ariel engraved all four of her paw prints in a heart shaped terracotta stone along with her tail which gave it that extra special unique touch. The ability to feel her feet and hands by tracing my fingers along each anatomical groove brings a smile to my face. Cutie would often times take her front paw and wrap it around my finger and now I can replicate that feeling over and over thanks to you Ariel. Ariel inked my Cutie's paws, nose and whiskers too! When I saw the prints it brought me back to when I use to touch her nose and she would look at me and I could just feel her smiling at me with her eyes. Ariel made me a special ink design with Cutie's tail curved forming a half heart with her back paw in the middle. I don't have tattoos but if I were to ever get one this would be perfect! Ariel created so many personal touches for Cutie's send off to heaven that she had me crying tears of joy. I'm confident in saying my little sassy girl Cutie knew she was so loved not only here on earth but in heaven. The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for helping my sweet Lilo leave this world peacefully and with dignity. Please take care of yourself, too. The first photo is the day Oliver met Lilo as a puppy, their first photo together. The second was taken just before the veterinarian arrived to help Lilo pass. In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. This review is limited to the ashes and keepsakes I got from them for my late cat. Last week I lost my cat of 12 years, Oliver, to cancer. He passed away fairly suddenly when I took him to Animal Speciality Group (VCA) in Glendale because he had been throwing up non-stop and seemed to be in pain. Turns out his tumor had been bleeding internally and he was severely anemic and the cancer had apparently spread aggressively across large portions of his body, so I made the difficult but necessary decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. At ASG/VCA, I purchased a cremation and keepsakes package, which I would later learn was being handled by West Coast. I just got the urn and keepsakes today in the mail and I really could not be any happier (other than if I could get my little buddy back). The wooden urn I chose was just beautiful, but I am especially blown away by the small vial with his hair inside of it; West Coast made a point to display his black and white fur in a beautiful pattern so I can always remember my tuxedo boy. I also did not ask or even pay extra for a paw print but I was so emotional and glad to find that West Coast had prepared one for me anyway. I really appreciate the work they did here to memorialize my boy. Thank you, West Coast, for your thoughtful work. They were fantastic and showed empathy every step of the way. They were comforting, gentle, and extremely friendly. The whole process was quick, smooth, and clean. They offered urns for the ashes and paw prints, which seemed cool, but I wasn't in the mood. We had been doing some research for a dignified and compassionate pet cremation service ever since our beloved cat, Princess, began refusing food last week. Knowing her time was near, we wanted to plan ahead and ensure she would be in caring hands when she passed. After several difficult days watching our girl in pain, we had the chance to say our final goodbye. Princess passed peacefully around 3 AM. By 6 AM, we contacted Small Paws Pet Cremation to arrange a private cremation. They responded with kindness and professionalism, reassuring us that they could come later this morning. It's been 2 months since Tony helped me with my beloved 19 year old kitty & sweet little soul mate, Punki. I was new to euthanizing & cremating a pet & I was so concerned that I was making the right decision & doing right by Punki. Where do I even begin ? Small Paws Cremation came at a time when we needed a final resting place worthy of our sweet boy, Liam. The morning of 4/15/24, our Liam passed away in his sleep and during that time of great sorrow, we reached out to Small Paws Cremation and they made the difficult process of sending our boy to his final resting place a lot easier. It has taken me a while to write this review, however this is do to my personally grief that I continue to navigate through. Small Paws Cremations does an amazing job at honoring our fur babies once they pass. The services provided truly make the process of losing a pet much easier and the quality of work genuinely exceeded our expectations. From start to finish Tony met our family with compassion, understanding and empathy. The greatest act of kindness is emotional empathy and Tony you have set the standard for this. Thank you. "My Lil Woo, Eve" was such a huge part of our small family. She was the light that shines and brought us so much love and happiness. We are now learning to appreciate she is the brightest star lighting the nights sky. Words can't adequately describe how much of a blessing Small Paws was for my Mario and me. Romo took exceptional care and honor of Mario and I'm so grateful. I wanted him to be treated special because he was special. Each animal gets their own private ride to the funeral home and that filled my heart. I wanted Mario to be cared for and I called different places until I had assurance that they would care for him and Small Paws was it! I didn't look any further after my call with Romo. When he came to pick up Mario, he gave me all the time I needed to say my goodbyes and even bowed his head in respect. He gently and carefully buckled him in and took his time in driving away. Mario's keepsakes are so beautiful and I can't express how happy I am that I have these beautiful memories of him in such a beautiful way. Romo and Small Paws' service COMPLETELY exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. read more

If I could give 10's I would. Small Paws is a wonderful place! When i lost my cat, I was so thankful, I found small paws. It was very tough for me since I had just lost my wife 3 months prior. Our baby girl was a young stray who blessed us & chose us as a family. She was the sweetest kitty, and I was devastated to lose her too. When I called small paws, it was around 8:30pm, and Romo came to pick her up. What a blessing. He was so very patient and professional, I had no doubt that small paws would treat my baby girl, as if she were his own. The service and kindness that I received will never be forgotten, and I can not thank him enough. I will recommend small paws to everyone I know or anyone reading this review. Losing a pet is heartbreaking, and having the compassion that he gave really helped. Thank you so much, Romo & small paws, for caring about our pets as you would your own. read more
