Extremely poor customer service. They really need to have a manager present until their staff is up to par. Stood in line for over ten minutes while I watched the cashier roll her eyes at customers. Very good burger. Very good service. Gave us the extra milkshake that they had left over when they make more than would fit in our cup. Just overall a great place to eat. Incredibly disappointed with this experience. I used to go to a Smashburger all the time back home in Connecticut, and this was an absolute let down. No ketchup, all the soda fountains were out, flat, or broken. The employees didn't even seemed like they worked there. (No uniforms, not even a Smashburger hat.) My burger tasted off, especially the cheese. I had gotten the BBQ bacon burger. My stomach is now upset. The place seemed very dirty, and the workers didn't seem to care. I'm incredibly displeased to have spent my money here. It was not worth it. I would've rather gone anywhere else at this point. I've eaten at Smashburger several times. Came here about 11 am, Which is when they first opened.we ordered and the food took a little longer than what I'm used to at other Smashburger. They did apologize for the wait which was refreshing and much appreciated. I had the Smashburger and Smashfries ( which were generously covered in olive oil. The burger was made well and as expected. My wife had the sweet potato fries which had a great sweet potato tase and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Tasted good. My son had the kids tenders and fries. He gave the tenders an 8 out of 10, which was good for him. He loves his tenders. Parking is easy because it is at the shopping complex here in Destin. Other choices of food either side, so if others want something else it makes it easy. Had a Wichwich on one side and a Chipotle. Something for everyone. My daughter brought a shake from formula fresh and we enjoyed our meal outside. read more

i work at Zumiez in the commons and when i went in yesterday to get something quick on my break i waited in line for 10 minutes with no explanation of why everything was taking so long. When a worker finally came to explain she said it is taking so long because i the cooks in the back could not keep up with the orders that were given. i saw 4 tables seated in the restaurant, not one with food and you could see how irritated everyone was getting because they were hungry. the lady ringing out was not at all apologetic and didn't seem to care. i would like to at least be able to get tatter tots on my 30 minute break and be able to eat them too. i had to go somewhere else to get something small to snack on and didn't even get to eat it on my break and had to wait till we closed the store to eat. read more

Terrible experience. Employees walked out as we were walking in. Apparently we walked in during a fight between the owner and almost all the employees. The owner was cussing up a storm using extremely vulgar and derogatory language (he screamed the f word at least four times). The owner did not apologize as we left, he actually thanked us as we walked out. As we walked out, the angry employee walked back in and threw his shoulder into my brother (with no apology or regard for us) I'll never be back. Extremely disappointing. I waited over an hour for food I never received. After confronting the staff about the issue in an attempt to get a refund, the manager threatened my girlfriend, attempting to fight her in the restaurant. The rest of the staff was extremely forgiving/helpful, but the manager screamed obscenities at my girlfriend and myself. She refused to give us a refund until another staff member came to our aide and refunded us our money. I assume the food is okay but we never got the chance to try it. read more

Food: I ordered a truffle mushroom swiss burger with a black bean patty. The cheese was very stretchy and the mushrooms were well-cooked. The black bean patty was burnt at the edges. The "sweet" potato fries are not very sweet, but if you're not a huge fan like me, it's fine. Time efficiency: There is only one cash register, which seems inefficient especially in a national brand located in a tourist location. However, the wait for my burger was not ridiculously long. Customer service: Out of everything, this is what left a bad taste in my mouth and led me to write my very first Yelp review. Unfortunately, two orders were missing. We had reported this to a worker and they had taken our receipt to check every item. This definitely took some time considering we were a large group. However, this may be a typical precaution. What was unacceptable was the workers' attitude and customer service. He was clearly annoyed at the whole situation and the tone that he used towards us, the customers, was very impatient. Rather than showing empathy, he had gone through a long process of arguing with us and trying to prove us wrong. It was also found out that he was not just a worker--he was a manager (Victor). He bluntly apologized for the system error, but if he had seen this happen before (which he said he had) and he is the manager of a national brand in a tourist area, I believe that it is reasonable to expect better customer service. The workers themselves were also a bit apathetic and didn't seem too happy to be serving us, maybe even a little bit annoyed as if we were a hassle. I understand that workers have their bad days and I understand that small system errors may mean more work for them. However, I believe that it is reasonable to (at the very least) want to feel comfortable eating at a restaurant, which I did not due to the treatment and attitude. read more

Customer service is terrible. As I order my food the girl at the register (she wore a white and blue rain jacket) she seemed so annoyed as I was talking and she had an attitude as I asked for my drink cups. And then, as the food finally comes out, we realize we are missing 2 orders. The manager, Victor or something, comes out and yells at us, giving us attitude- it was terrible. Visited the Destin location. Food was mediocre at best. The burger barely had any flavor and my order of SmashFries (fries tossed in olive oil and Italian spice) was basically olive oil with a dash of fries mixed in. The girl who took our order was nice, but the rest of the staff seemed inconvenienced and annoyed that they couldn't finish closing duties (still had about 1.5 hrs before closing). The Sprite was really great though. Probably won't be returning. There are other restaurants in the area for the same price but better service and food. read more

Ordered at 1:45 and at 2:00 the manager posted a sign on the door saying they were closed between 2:00-4:00. No interaction with all the full tables of customers waiting for food. Apparently they ran out of food. Multiple patrons canceled their orders. At about 1:15 I asked the manager if they had enough food to fill our order. He was a bit short and defensive about the delay.
