We go to Smashburger in St. Louis and are always delighted. We came here for a late lunch. Only person in front of us in line. The cashier, belhan, know how to ring up. The manager, Pete, was rushed and rude with the people in front of us. When we ordered Pete rushed us through our order and we paid the 50.00 for 4 of us. We sat down and waited 15 mins at which point belhan brings out one of our four meals. We wait 5 minutes and I finally tell our daughter to eat. So 1:4 people have their food. He beings out meal #2 and it is missing the cheese. I when he put it down I mentioned it was missing the cheese and he says you didn't order cheese rudely. I was shocked at how unprofessional he spoke. So I headed up to the counter, no one there, so went to the side to get some cheese just in time to see belhan mocking me to the manager. I was again shocked and now insulted. Pete asked what I needed and I told him I needed 2 more meals and a side and the cheese for the other burger and a plastic knife as all the silverware was empty. Pete and belhan were confrontational when I asked their names and their manager's name. Pete grabs his cell phone and calls "the manager" to "tell him about me." At which point we are still waiting on two meals-I finally ask if the food on the counter is mine. Of course they don't know and then finally decide it is. So I asked why they aren't bringing it out at which point belhan responds he only has two hands. I will tell u I have never been treated so rudely. Fifty dollars for essentially fast food lunch and an attitude is insane. From the yelp reviews I saw after I can see this is not an isolated incident. The management here is unprofessional and rude. We will never return and definitely will tell everyone not to go here. By the time I got my food my daughter was finished with hers. They had 2 orders to take care of, I can't imagine if they were actually busy. The owner should be ashamed to let people ruin this store and corporate should have some responsibility in making sure common jerks aren't there ruining people's day and wasting their money. read more

Service is awful, but the food is kind of decent. Seriously, all of the girls who work in the front taking orders and whatnot need to be fired and replaced by employees who don't act like it's physically painful for them to be there. Apart from the ridiculously unfriendly staff, the burgers weren't too bad. I got the avocado club burger. It was fairly good, the tomatoes and avocado were fresh and they put plenty on. Fries were just okay. My boyfriend got the bacon cheeseburger and it looked really unimpressive with hardly any bacon. I would have given 4 stars because I love Smashburger's food, but the customer service is terrible!!! Walked in and was not greeted. No one was at the register. There were two workers in sight of me in the kitchen. I stood there for almost five minutes without being greeted or asked if I needed help or was ready to order. I know they looked at me. I had to ask them if anyone was going to take my order and only then did one of them call to someone that was out of sight. When that guy finally did come up to the register, he didn't say anything to me to let me know he was ready for my order, so we just kind of stood there for a moment until I said something (he was logging in to the system). No "what can I get for you today?"... just silence. Awkward. He was polite, though. Overall very underwhelming experience wise, but food was great as always. read more

I was very happy to discover they had black bean burgers. Added goat cheese, spinach and cucumbers to it - yum! I expected the standard pre made frozen black bean frozen patty - nope. Drove 20 minutes to get here. Internet said opens at 10a, but didn't open until 11a. NO sign and no one came outside to mention. At 11:10a still not opened and girl came to door to talk to hostess from wich wich. Girl from Smashburger was extremely rude and didn't have a clue about customer service. Went in on 9pm Wednesday night for fried pickles and I walked in and I asked "are y'all still open?" I got ignored and then people started looking up and I said "when do you close" trying to verify that I'm not being the rude person showing up at closing. Finally I get a response that " grill is on til 945." And then I said okay cool so y'all are open til 10? And she says yes finally. After that I decide my order. Then while I'm ordering the kitchen crew said "nothing crispy"...... for real? It's not even close to closing yet and nothing crispy. I hope the people behind me left too cause that's stupid. If I had come 10-15 minutes then I would have been more understanding but not 45 minutes. I deserved my fried pickles. :( I decided to cancel my order and left. I hate to give this place 2 stars because they honestly have great food. BUT, we ordered 4 different burgers and 3 orders of fries. There was no one else behind us and they weren't busy at all. They brought our first 3 orders out within 5 minutes and everyone was very friendly. We waited another 10 minutes (total of 15 minutes at this point) and still hadn't received our 4th burger or fries. We went inside and showed them the receipt and told them we missing a burger and fries. They said they would make it immediately and bring it out. The sweet manager then came by and checked on us and apologized for the mistake. Everyone up to this point was so sweet and friendly. Then comes a woman named Dasia (sp?). She said she would. Ring our order out as soon as it was made. When she brought the order out, it was just a burger and no fries. I told her we were missing an order or fries and she then made us show her our receipt (again, after showing 2 other employees) and was not very nice about it. She acted like we weren't telling the truth. This one rude employee makes me not want to come back. Again though, the food and rest of the staff were fantastic! I love this place. We flew in from California to try this burger. It is better than in and out and anything else we've ever had in the burger world. Everyone needs to try this. I had the classic double with smash fries and it was the best burger I've ever had. It's perfect portion size and fresh ingredients. It took about 8 minutes to get it and it's worth the wait since it's all homemade. They explained to us that all ingredients are prepared freshly every morning. It's very well known burger place her. The food here is really good, however it takes forever to receive. I recently visited this food establishment and not only waited 45 minutes for my food but watched everyone who previously ordered get their food before me. The customer service is horrible. The young lady who took my order was rude and dull. There were customers looking for help and assistance and the employee's simply ignored their concerns. Although the food is good, the cost is high for the amount you get. The burger is thin and the fries are scarce. I will not be returning, Jonny's Rockets next door is much better. read more

We stood in line for 10 minutes behind another customer while the young lady taking orders chatted-up and flirted endlessly with two young men ordering at the front. One male employees was at several places behind the counter and food prep area with no mask on. The cashier had her mask pulled down to her chin. My family are frequent visitors to smashburger in Texas so we stopped at this one and the service was so slow about 30 mins to get food. When it came out the burgers were cold and fries not crispy. The owner of this franchise needs to be more involved. Hire good people and follow proper procedure. Fast food chains have figured it out you guys should too. read more

Really love smashburgers black bean and avocado burger! They have great food, just pricey! I've been to a few and don't mind paying more if it comes out in a timely manner with a clean environment and friendly staff, but this place lacks most of that. They do offer a military discount which is great, and have given us multiple coupons for their mess ups- but after so many, free food isn't worth it anymore. Still go occasionally for that black bean burger though. Just be willing to wait a while, and may have to ask a few times for items. read more

ZERO STARS!! My husband has been asking me to eat here for months but the reviews left less to be desired. So today I finally caved and compromised over my first choice which would have been Zoes. My experience began with a RUDE cashier that seemed inconvenienced by working to earn a wage. Then the struggle to find a clean table and dodging the food on the floor as to not get avocado smashed into my boots. Then the restroom with the broken soap dispenser on the floor and the angry wait staff yelling and slamming trays and trash can lids! The kicker was when the waitress brought the soap dispenser that was on the floor in the mens restroom out and set it on a table to try and fix it! Disgusting!!! I will never recommend this to anyone I know and I will never be back!!! I hope the Destin Commons does something about this poor excuse for an overpriced burger joint soon! read more
