The BEC with an unsweetened iced tea :)

A short and sweet review must be left for Smith Street Deli, but there is a big emphasis on the SWEET. Their sandwiches are SO FRESH and SO DELICIOUS. The BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese) on a Kaiser roll is Long Island breakfast culture at its finest, and their iced teas, neatly wrapped in plastic, is such a trademark feature of Long Island deli life, too! They also have really tasty sandwiches for lunch and dinner (I've tried the Dagwood Hero with turkey, roast beef, American cheese, mayo, lettuce, and tomato), and their market selection is vast when it comes to cold drinks, salads, chips, and other little things your heart desires to make your meal complete. Smith Street Deli is definitely a noteworthy spot!

I have been here a few times. It is an expansive Long Island deli. You can your breakfast sandwiches, your heroes, your soups, your salads, you hot meals, etc. I went and got a chicken hero. The chicken wasn't dry, which is the worst. The bread was fresh. It was exactly what you would want and they made it quickly. The staff was friendly and professional. There was a lot of things I plan on going back to try out. From my few experiences, I would recommend it.

Deli is way over priced, easily the skimpiest deli in the area, miserable employees. Example in photos: $14-15 for a psycho chicken on a roll, ONE piece of chicken cutlet cut in half and two pieces of bacon on the sandwich. Place is a joke and will avoid.

Back in the old neighborhood and in need of a sandwich, I stopped in at the Smith Street deli Catessen. Still operating a first class deli and tunafish with some chips and a bottle of soda made me happy this afternoon. Nice way to reminisce and satisfy my hunger at the same time.

I've been working in the area and this Deli makes it convenient for me to park the truck & grab something to eat. A solid 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up to 4 for variety. I've been here several times and the service is good. It's a super clean deli & the location is odd but it works. It's in a residential area next to a gas station. The best thing I've had so far has been the breakfast sandwich. I wasn't impressed with the BLT or the Cuban. They were decent just not the best I've had. But they have an awesome variety & several items like soups & salads already packaged up to grab & go. Overall a nice deli. I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area. 12-27-2017

I always look forward to my morning visit to the Smith St Deli when I visit my brother Tom in Merrick NY. Deli is always very clean, staff is friendly and quick. Deli food is terrific. Start my day off with coffee and breakfast at Smith St Deli and off to a good start. Wish I had a Smith St Deli in Pacific Beach San Diego Ca.

First time visiting this deli. Very clean and awesome service. As soon as they see a few people waiting they automatically help if you're being helped. They even have a text in number so you can order ahead, perfect for when you are in a rush. I made my own sandwich and my boyfriend got the Reuben on a hero. Both were great, filling, and fresh. Not badly priced either. Will definitely be back!!

The decor is bright, fun , modern, and staff is welcoming The menu is surprisingly versatile, offering everything from smoothie combos to beer, drinks, and solid food options. It's the kind of place where both kids and adults can find something they love, which is rare and refreshing. One of the standout features is how clean and well-maintained everything is. There's also a separate kids' area with staff supervision, which is a huge plus if you're looking to unwind for a bit while your little ones stay entertained safely. I personally chose to stay and play with my son in the playground area since he's still a bit young, and we had a great time together. It's nice to have that flexibility depending on your child's age and comfort level. Overall, I'd definitely come back. It's a fantastic spot for everyday visits and would be an excellent choice for hosting a kids' party.

Since we always get their Pitaya or Green bowls, this was our first time trying their açaí based bowl. I decided to try their Nutella açaí bowl, which comes with strawberry, banana, and Nutella spread. Since I love blueberries, they let me swap the strawberry for blueberry which was nice. I could also choose a second base, so I picked their banana base, which I don't usually see at other places. My family got their Tropical bowl, which comes with pineapple, banana, and honey. The server was nice, and they made our açaí bowls quickly, neat and nice! What I love about Playa Bowl is that their base tastes amazing and is creamy, and the portion of fruit is great! They're usually around $16, which is a little expensive compared to other places, but it's definitely worth it. They have so many varieties of bowls with different kinds of base, the acai, Pitaya, green and banana. They also sometimes have seasonal bowl, which right now is the strawberry based bowl :) so you can try different ones each time you visit and find your favorite! My favorite so far is the Electric Mermaid, which comes with pineapple, mango, and kiwi on a Pitaya base. This location was great, nice and quiet, not crowded. If you haven't had a chance to try it yet, you should definitely try!!
