This is easily my favourite Smith's store. Everyone is helpful and easy going - from the cashiers to the baggers! The checkouts are made fast and friendly too. Good selection of organic and vegan products which my vegetarian husband and I appreciate. Store Manager David recently went the extra mile to make my holiday shopping a breeze by also making quick refunds on items I grabbed by mistake when I mixed brands unknowingly. read more

Love the convenience of this location but the quality of employees have gone downhill!! Its like a collection of people who hate their jobs and some powered supervisor or manager making their lives miserable. Overall the store is clean and usually have what I'm looking for. The gas rewards program is also one of the major reasons I shop at Smiths in general. If you know how to play the system right, don't even need to spend money shopping to get free points!!! read more

I noticed in the past month that their variety of cake slices have for some reason run scarce. I had been craving a slice of their black forest cake and for some reason...Ack! Gone! Disappeared! My husband finally had to ask one of the bakers why they no longer serve the particular cake I was looking for and we found out that they have a new cake decorator/maker...It was their decision to stop making it. Boo! Filling out several comment cards to bring back my cake! Other than that, we still frequent Smith's. It's still one of the cheaper stores in our area. By the way, they opened up a gas station nearby. You save $0.15 cents per gallon. read more

Bought two expensive dog chewy toys called Dogzilla for $13.99 each which are made for medium to large dogs and aggressive chewers. Within a minute my medium sized Golden Retriever broke a piece off which I then had to take the toy away so she does not choke on the pieces. Took it back to Smiths and they refused to refund my money. This is after I called, was placed on hold for an answer about the refund, then the call was disconnected. Called back and explained the situation and the person said to bring my recept it and come in (thinking they will reimburse me for the defective product). When I got there the person at the return went to ask the manager who then told me "no" they would not take the return. Annoying such incompetent people at all levels and that a reputable grocery chain would put so many pets at risk by selling such a defective product not to mention the risk they take in that this toy could cause the death of a beloved pet. In anycase, not only because of this but this store is so darn crowded, they stack merchandise that have fallen and caused injury on my foot previously that I have started to avoid this store like it is the plaque and will continue to do so by shopping at the Albertsons just down the street on Rainbow and Warm Springs. Of course this corporation are like the others could care less and are just greedy and hard up for dollar bills! Update: Just called the Smith's Corporate Office. The woman who assisted me was wonderful! She listened to my complaint about the expensive but defective dog chew toy, made a notation about my complaint for this product in their computers (she asked for the barcode number of the product) and refunded my money onto my card. I take back that this corporation could care less and is greedy. The corporate headquarters took my complaint serious, looked at the history of my account and determined that I was a valuable customer and refunded my money. She said they normally don't go over the decisions of the store managers but determined that in this situation it was appropriate to refund my money. Maybe the store manager was having a bad day but it's sad that it had to go to the corporate level to take care of this (not to mention time and energy it took for me to pursue this issue). read more

I frequent this location on my weekly grocery shopping trips. It being the closest Smith's to my home. Prices here tend to be better than Vons and Albertsons. Which is one of the reasons I shop here. The staff are always helpful when I've had a problem or question. Granted I usually shop in the middle of the night on weekdays. So I typically use the self-checkout and that's when the shelves are being restocked. Except for the boxes of items laying in the aisles the employees are restocking, the store is clean. There isn't a problem with parking or in-store traffic during that time of the day. So I can't comment on those issues when it's busier. Signing up for their club card gets you extra discounts via digital coupons and also $0.10/gal off per $100 spent per month at their gas station(Limit $1/gal off per fill up I believe). I have also received some bonus coupons and even a few free items for being a frequent shopper. They do also have a weekly free friday download item. A few times I had a problem with digital coupons not registering on checkout. Each time it was corrected promptly by the employee working the self checkout station or at customer service. Good reminder to always double check one's receipt to make sure its accurate! read more

Sushi Review for Smith's I am not one to usually like sushi from the grocery store. Pre-made, the rice is usually cold and hard etc so it doesn't suit me very well. However I have found it increasingly harder to find a place that could just make me a decent spicy crab roll and I haven't seen the imitation crab meat that we use to love to make our own rolls with... so we were in Smith's the other day to get something else and came by the sushi case and I guess I was really really hankering for spicy crab and so we thought we would try that and a couple of other rolls there. They were actually really good, nice and spicy and not too bad for pre-made. They have a good selection of stuff as well and they make some of them with brown rice as well. The Spicy Dragon and the Spicy Crunch were our additions to my spicy crab and we would definitely try it again when the hankering overcomes us while shopping there at Smith's :-) read more

This could be a really great grocery store if the staff was even trying one bit to be one bit nice or helpful. The customer service desk is useless and the people working it are rude. I understand someone can't just be standing there waiting for customers but the person working that area should at least be in veiw and not seem put out for having to service customers. Then don't even try to shop here with any convenience after 8pm. Even though the store is 24 hrs they lock the entrance at 8 pm forcing you to enter through the exit and try to walk through the self checkouts to get in. The self checkouts great because the clerk there has to go through your cart to check if you're stealing. Smashing my items and disrupting the whole check out process. If you like bad treatment and to feel like you are a bother and thief this is your place. read more

This Smith's has THE BEST organic/natural food section out of all the smith's I have shopped at in Vegas! Definitly worth the drive instead of jut settling for the albertsons that us closer to where I live. read more

I typically love going shopping here but recently the workers have gone down hill. The Starbucks workers have alway been rude. They act like they absolutely hate their job and if that's the case then why work for Starbucks. Starbucks has a great reputation and those workers are bringing that reputation down. As for smiths, I have a companion animal and she goes every where with us and this rude worker came up to my daughter and asked her to leave with the dog. My daughter!! Really.. How about you talk to the parent. Or how about you ask in a different way as companion animals are welcome there. Someone really needs to focus on management there and get things under control! read more

Closest to home so it's a no-brainer especially with the gas discounts. What I really like about them is their huge selection of cheese, not comparable to whole foods but WAY better than albertsons. The best part is they have mini cheese samplers for about $1 which is great. Now for the negatives. I was there past 9 this morning and some of the fruits had still not been stocked (berries and avocados). The staff told me he was in the process of doing it so I did the rest of my shopping before heading back to the fruits and veggies aisle. I couldn't find any candied walnuts or pecans so I bought the regular as I can easily do them at home. But on check out I'm used to Albertsons staff always asking "you find everything you needed today?" No such greeting from Smith's staff. Surprisingly there was no greeting at all. I asked her myself if they carried candied walnuts and all she said was "I dont remember seeing them". I will continue going to Smith's for the 3 reasons mentioned: closest to home, cheese selection and gas discounts. read more

This is a nice grocery store. Generally clean, and usually always in stock with everything. I love smiths sales. And also love the fact the more I shop the more money I save in gas with my rewards. My family and I really benefit from the reward points toward gas. I really wish their seafood was more fresh the smiths in southern highlands has better Seafood in their meat department, so we usually go to southern highlands smiths for our seafood. The cashiers are friendly. And they know us very well due to the fact we go here often. It's always nice to go somewhere that everyone knows your name. read more

Been coming here for seven years. Everyone is very nice. Guys in the butcher shop are great. My only complaint is the baggers....can you guys get any lazier? None of them will bend over and place heavier items on the bottom rack, which means they just place bags on each other and items get crushed. The kid I had today was moving so slow the checker had to start bagging. They bag chemicals with food which when I was a bagger if you did that you would get fired. Overall good store but management needs to give these youngsters a bagging class. read more

Great prices and I LOVE the gas discounts! I also love that little Gold envelope that comes every few months with free Smith's $ :) When you add up the price savings in store, the gas discounts, and the quarterly rebate they are waaay cheaper than the other stores. The best thing is the cheapness does NOT affect the quality of goods, the cleanliness of the store, or the attitudes of the staff. They're always fully stocked, clean, and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. Only complaint (why I took off a star)...their bakery seems to be changing some of their recipes. They used to have the BEST cookies, my personal favorite being the pumpkin chocolate chip. They're not even close to what they were a year or 2 ago. Same with their fudge cake. :( read more

Always clean without the riff raff. I love how they have hand sanitizers at the door to wipe your hands and cart. Great staff that is always helpful and the fruit and meat are always fresh. Two thumbs up!! read more

This store is the worst smiths I've been to. The main entry door was locked at 9pm, forcing you to walk into the exit. This dumps you into full lines of people trying to check out. The store is messy and always under stocked. The cashiers are slow so the lines are always long. If you go late they are stocking the store and give you an additude for being there. Shop somewhere else. read more

This is my default grocery store. My absolute favorite part of shopping here is when at check-out, the store manager opens up registers to accommodate customers to minimize the wait time. I so appreciate that attention to the customer experience. The produce selection is varied, fresh, and reasonably priced. All your food staples are really fresh actually, your eggs, milks, breads. I've recently given up cow's milk and I appreciate that I can find almond milk readily. The demographic of this store reflects the neighborhood in which it's in, and I've never had a crazy-person experience here like at other grocery stores in the city. I really appreciate that I can come here past midnight (it's open 24 hours) because I absolutely must have this ingredient for something I'm baking or cooking (it's happened before and I'm sure it'll happen again) and I'm not concerned for my safety. Oh and big yay to the store card program for giving you the options for coupons or gas savings. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Smith's! Plenty of savings to be found throughout the store. Also, everyone that works within Smith's is beyond friendly. If there's ever a line, they try and keep everything to a very minimal wait and keep as many lanes as they can open. read more

I love this Smiths. I've shopped here many, many times, the store lay out is great and very convenient and there's ALWAYS plenty of 10 for $10 deals, a Smiths staple. The bread, condiments, canned foods, etc are located pretty direct to where the entrance is, same for the current best deals, the Starbucks mini cafe, and the vegetables and such. Very convenient for when you need to run in, grab something, and then run back home to food cooking. They have all the "health foods" and organic stuff in it's own section right next to the bakery/deli and the alcohol section which is also on the side of the store closest to the door. Again, super convenient. This smith's location also happens to be one where you can bag your own granola, flax seeds, cranberries, etc. This is a section that I have yet to see at any Smiths store or grocery store other than Whole Foods. They also have City Life placed by the exit, a favorite of mine which I definitely prefer picking up on a grocery store trip rather than going inside a gas station. And speaking of gas stations, this location has a Smiths gas station out in the parking lot with plenty of pumps. So you can go shop, win big on the deals, and then go out and cash in your Smiths points at the pump. One time when I came to fill up they took a dollar off the price per gallon because I had so many points on my card. I also remember coming in late one night and a crew was actually filming at one of the registers with the whole lights set up and everything. Seriously, this grocery store is very cool! I've never really felt excited about going to a grocery store but this one makes my life so much easier than I would expect it to! read more

This is our closest Smiths. I really do like this Smiths (except for the Starbucks here...these ladies always have a grouchy look in their faces). This Smiths is pretty clean and well stocked. I find it easy to find things and they pretty much always have sale items as listed in their ads. Prices are really good compared to Albertsons & Vons. Only downside is this pharmacy is SLOW...there is one girl in particular that has a really bad accent and attitude too. She gave us 30 pills in a 60 day supply bottle! If they say and hour means more like 2-3 hours. Overall the store itself is great and in a good location. I live closer to Vons on Durango but come here because I prefer Smiths! read more

September 4,2018 Vickie was my cashier really rude handling my transaction today, it is not her business to announce what I have on my personal card. The only thing she needs to tell me is balance to a gift card or what my savings is for the day and gas points. Also she didn't want to honor digital sale items I got. The smiths app always have issues on transferring any items you want on your card. Vickie also told me that I need to load any coupons on the app before entering the store. I even showed her the picture of the sale but she didn't fix and charge me the full price on those 5 items which I had to go to customer service to fix thank you KERRI for being awesome and making me feel so much better. Catherine the store manager says she will have a talk with Vickie I hope she does! read more

Come here pretty often, most things are stocked and most of the staff is friendly. The floral section is always well maintained with nice plants. The winery section has a nice selection of wines to choose from. I've only had two poor encounters with a staff member. During the quarantine lines were condensed into one line but did notice a second line with a woman and two gentlemen so I decided to head into that one. I did notice a smiths staff member helping out those in self check out. The two men went to an open register to check themselves out. Then the woman went afterwards I then notice the smiths staff member looked at me... raised her brows and made a distorted face. And when I was next she told people from the other line to go next ahead of me. I then said I think I was next she said no the line is there. Then the women that went ahead of me defended me saying yes she was next the smiths staff member said no. I just moved on got in the line and checked out. Then on another visit, she was a cashier with a mask on and raised her brows with the same distortion when we made eye contact. Very strange rude possibly racist women, who knows. read more

Everything is nice except the deli. While the food is good the customer service is horrible. I end up standing in front of the deli for 10 minutes with the employees walking by or texting on their phones or chatting with each other. Just today I was wanting some deli for dinner and the employee just talked away about gossip to a friend. Waited 8 minutes until I just gave up and left. read more

Nice friendly clean and organized, every employee greets you. I usually go there in the morning after I drop kids off at school and get first pick of all their freshly stocked meats and poultry while they are putting it on the rack. I also love the sushi department because they let me sample and make new trays of sushi with special requests for me. read more

Great store, great staff. Sometimes shelves are not fully stocked in the evenings, but there are always plenty of friendly employees to help and go find what you are looking for. The employees are also always very knowledgeable. The only thing I wish they had was a full butcher shop. I'm a vegetarian, but my husband and son are not. I like to get them very thinly sliced ribeye to make steak sandwiches with and I can't get it here. The meat department cannot slice anything in store. I love the Simple Truth and Simply Organic lines and also the growing health food and organic produce areas. read more

This store is always busy. I usually park far to avoid all the customers and cars... easy access in and out that way. The lines are long, but they do their best to get everyone out. There are a lot of self check outs, which is good because sometimes the lines are way too long and it's easier and faster going through self check out. There are friendly staff... I went to the deli and it would help if the staff acknowledge each customer and ask if they needed help. They can be cutting cheese and not look back to see who's standing there or once they are done with a customer they quickly walk off before double checking if anyone new is standing. I hate being that one customer who has to yell over the counter to get their attention, but sadly, it seems like I have to. That's just one little fix, though. I did go shopping the other day and was searching for chicken thighs and I was next to the guy who had the cart out to stock, I did feel a little pressured by him.. instead of asking me if I needed help, he huffed and quickly moved his cart around me to the opposite side... which I thought was a little rude because you could have just asked me if I needed help and I would have been out of your way in seconds. Other than that, I enjoy coming to this store... it's probably my second favorite Smiths to come to in the city (1st is Desert Inn and Decatur and I live right off Rainbow and Windmill)... I just decided to do this review because I really wanted to acknowledge Johnny and also, Richard who was stocking in the dairy section that day... they made my shopping experience really pleasant... Johnny helped me find my Grillmates package that I normally only know where It is at DI location... it was really busy that day but he helped me and also helped a couple of other people after me and Richard... was stocking in the dairy section but still asked me if I needed help finding anything... this was a couple of days before thanksgiving, but I still didn't forget to let them know that they made me feel ten times more comfortable and better shopping in such a busy environment. Thank you so much.. I appreciate people like you! Oh, and the prices are much more affordable & more selection than any other store.. so Smiths as a whole will always be my favorite. :) read more

CONS: I shop at this store very frequently and have witnessed employees (graveyard shift) treat customers horribly. I saw one worker (I believe he is the night manager) who had a arguement with a shopper, she was rude and obviously drinking but didn't deserve his response which was basically telling her "F___ you b___, this is MY store get the H__ out!" which he said with a smile before he and two younger workers laughed and physically removed her from the store. I was in shock as was the one other shopper (it was around 3 am and no one else was in there). Both the other shopper and I told him they were treating her horribly and he told us to mind our own business. I followed her out the store and asked her if she was okay, she was crying about never having been treated like that by a man before. I told her that if she wanted to report him (the stores near a police station), that I would be a witness for her. She said thank you but she just wanted to leave and go home. The dayshift seems fine and friendly but the graveyard shift is horrible and not on only one occasion. I've been in the store when theyre restocking and the stockers are listening to their ipods and singing along with rap songs, which okay.. whatever... but they were literally dancing around and swearing. Ive seen workers playing around and talking explicitly about things they did with girls (I'm sure you can imagine what I mean). There's also a female worker who is so completely rude to me. I dont know what her problem is.. shes not graveyard she's nightshift. She has brown curly hair, is "thick" and usually is standing by the self checkouts if anyone needs help. One the two occasions where I needed assistance from her she was a _____. I asked her once for assistance when the register I was on wasn't reading a barcode. She rolled her eyes, walked up to me, snatched the yogurt out of my hand, typed into some little handheld thing, threw the yogurt into the plastic bag and walked away. Another time, the register ran out of paper for the receipt and I asked her for help. She again rolled her eyes at me then turned and ignored me. I again repeated that I needed help, she ignored me until another worker said "shes not working right now." (and apparently unable to speak for herself) then asked if I wanted my receipt printed out (duh), I said yes, grabbed the receipt from the other worker, thanked her and left. Im seriously fed up with her and if she pulls anything else Im pretty sure I'll do something that'll get me escorted out and asked to not return. It'd be worth it ;) The workers aside, their produce sometimes is spoiled. I often buy heads of lettuce from there and I've never once had a head of lettuce that didnt have brown spots and needed to have some leaves removed. Ive had bugs in it too. The large bags on onions are sometimes slimey and the bag of potatoes sometimes have a lot of those roots growing out (dont know what to call them). Ive seen on some occasions, those tiny fruit flies buzzing around when the produce is older. PROS: I like that the store is 24 hours. The day shift is very friendly and helpful. I loooove the fact that they have self checkouts and that those are open 24 hours. THAT is the reason I keep going back honestly. I do my shopping early in the morning and I hate going into stores that have self checkouts closed and only one cashier who is grouchy when you step up to the register, so as long as Smiths keeps the self checkouts open 24 hours, I'll be a customer. As soon as they stop though, theyll lose me. The prices are good, probably best in this area even compared to Walmart which is nearby as well but if im buying produce, I'll go to walmart if I have the time. I like that they have their own generic brand like walmart does so on some things, like bread, I can save the money. read more
