This location is the old Starbucks next to Vons. It's very spacious, has plenty of plugs, and gives off a relaxing vibe. Great for working or studying here. Free parking lot with plenty of space. Everyone's very friendly and suggested their fav drinks. We got the Tiger latte and Smokin Spaniard, both were good but I can't think of any unique description for the drinks. A little bit intimidated by the price of the baked goods though - $6 for a croissant.

Went for the Grand Opening since they were giving out free drinks 8am-5pm and 50% all pastries - one day only (5/9)! Went at 2pm and stood in line for an hour but it was so worth it! Parking was easy since there's plenty of parking! Loved how organized and friendly the staff were. Even though there was a long line, the manager was very nice in greeting all the customers and making sure it wasn't too crowded inside before letting more customers in. I was impressed they gave out FULL SIZED drinks AND free milk substitutions! Of course I had to get my favorite - Sweet Corn Latte. It was so creamy and delicious as usual! The corn cream top had hints of corn and the coffee was so refreshing and not too bitter! Definitely reminded me of an egg coffee I have gotten when I went to Vietnam! If you love egg coffee, definitely recommend this! Overall, I would definitely return and recommend!

This review is based on just one visit for a cold brew. The newest location for Smoking Tiger opened up in this large plaza next to Pavilion's. They took over Starbucks around mid-April 2026. The space is much bigger, brighter and cleaner than their San Gabriel location. Although I didn't study their menu, it seems there are many similar items compared to the San Gabriel location. The staff is very knowledgeable about their types of coffee and very nice and friendly. It wasn't too noisy on a weekday afternoon so you can hear the ambience music playing in the background. We were able to choose which coffee we want it for the cold brew Americano, and opted for their dark roast, the Blue House. It was definitely bold yet smooth I chose to take it black and I can taste the flavor profile. I usually don't like cold coffee drinks, but this was very nice on a cold day and gave me a little caffeine jolt.. There's plenty of parking in the huge lot and a chill ambulance inside. I will be back to try the other coffee drinks, and pastries.

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The staff also wears gloves when handling drinks and food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my drink from this establishment today, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive because they share the lot with several other establishments. This shopping plaza can be popping at times. Drink: I ordered a sweet corn latte. I decided to remove one star because you can't even taste the corn. I'm a big fan of corn, so I just lowkey found this very disappointing when I couldn't taste any hint of corn. This drink really is sweet. Like very sweet. Overall, it just tastes like coffee. Nothing crazy or special about this drink TBH. I will have to try something else on their menu next time. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They accept credit cards only. No cash. Also, there is no credit card minimum.

Cute spot to get work done! I came here to try their banana milk latte which was absolutely delicious. My friend tried their corn latte, which although we were expecting a more intense corn flavor, was still good. My friend also ordered their Garlic Cream Cheese bun which was a lot sweeter than expected, but still delicious nonetheless! I look forward to trying more of their pastries here as the display looked all delicious. The inside is clean and minimalist, offering a pretty quiet environment for studying/working. Outlets are a little hard to come by, but there are a good amount in there. Overall great spot and living so close to hear makes it easy to grab a quick pick me up during breaks!

Finally tried the banana milk latte and it isn't for me =X the banana tasted really artificial. Unfortunately it was not enjoyable.

Yay glad smoking tiger took over but they should open earlier.

Came during holiday weekend when everyone goes out of town. So no lines and plenty of seating. Tried the banana latte, ham and cheese croissant, and jalapeño spam croissant. My husband ordered an americano. Everything is nice and new. The workers are friendly. I wish the Americano was stronger seemed a little watered down. But maybe that's what they are going for. Next time I'll try an espresso. The banana latte is good. Lots more drinks to try. wish they open earlier like 7am so I can take some goodies to work but oh well. Total came out to $22 not bad.

    Strawberry matcha so so

I visited on a Saturday morning and there was no line. The storefront is large with pastries like buns and croissants for sale and also some cheesecake and cakes. I ordered a strawberry matcha which was around $7 and I also purchased a Dubai chewy cookie for $4.5. They also have small layered cakes for sale which look quite nice for about $15. The drink was ready within a few minutes. The matcha was a little grainy and bitter. Not the best or smoothest matcha I've had. I would rate it 6/10. The Dubai chewy cookie was tasty but kinda pricey. Overall, the drink was just okay for me. I may go back to try one of their cakes.

This is a nice coffee shop located in the same plaza as Vons. The parking lot is huge so it was easy to find parking. The cafe is spacious and has a few tables. The service was very nice and patient as we looked through the menu and trying to decide what to order. We got the Banana Milk Latte, Hojicha Latte, and Ube Scone. The Hojicha Latte tastes different than the other ones from other stores, but still good. The drinks had a lot of ice though. The Ube Scone was tasty although a messy as we ate it up.

Beautiful spacious location. Well done in terms of vibe and decor! I got an iced latte with the Blue House blend (I LOVE that they have different blends and roasts to choose from!!!!) and it was good! Would totally return. Service from Brandon was excellent! He was so kind and helpful. Will be a returning customer.

    Jeju matcha latte

I found out that I could use the store app to get five dollars off on my first pickup order. This was a pleasant surprise, so I ordered a Jeju matcha latte (originally $6.25). Without a line, it seems that drinks get prepared in about five to ten minutes. I enjoyed how the matcha had a strong taste and deep green color. The agave gave it a light sweetness, and the texture was slightly creamy. Overall, it was a solid matcha latte. Most tables indoors were occupied with people studying, but there was seating outside during a cool afternoon.

On a Saturday morning in early May, my sister and I waited in line for their grand opening of free drink at 7:30am. There was a line after us. The staff are nice and the interior is spacious. We waited in line to order our drink which wasn't too long, I ordered a strawberry matcha drink with bacon cheese croissant. It was hard to decide on pastry and drink. Lots of small tables with outlets under the tables. The drink was delicious and the pastry was good too. Ambiance was kpop music I think. After we left, the line got longer.

Great hangout spot with good coffee and snacks! Almond and oat available as dairy alternatives. It's a wide open space with a number of tables. A portion of the tables have outlets and WiFi is available. Parking is ample, adjacent to a Vons plaza.

Parking - Street parking only, no dedicated parking lot. Interior is pretty clean, cafe vibes, and some tables around but not too many. There's a huge table for big groups as well which is nice. There's also a self ordering kiosks which is always a nice sight to see when you visit tea shops. We tried the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea and the Oops Cheese Matcha Smash which seems to be one of their more popular drinks. The white peach is what you expect, refreshing and easy to sip. Very happy with the drink overall. As for the Oops Cheese Matcha Smash, aesthetically, the drink is great for photos. It looks more like a swirl drink than anything. I love the overall texture of the drink. It was also as refreshing as the white peach. The cheese mix with the matcha created a swirling feeling, each sip is filled with both flavoring, highly recommend. Excited to revisit again later on, love their menu options, and it seems like a decent spot to hangout with friends or a group despite the smaller space.

Price aside, the drinks are good and on par with what you would find at typical boba shops. The food is where this place really shines. They have a large menu, ranging from rice to noodles to grilled meats served on a hot plate. I got the $21 NY steak today, which was a generous portion, served with sliced onions, corn, broccoli and choice of rice or spaghetti. It's not Morton's but, c'mon, $21 for a steak fix these days is a heck of a deal. Most of their entrees are in the $14-18 range. To top it off, the service is great - attentive and very friendly. Free parking lot in the back.

Unfortunately they have discontinued their weekday combo menu making it less worth the drive for us…read moreso we're not sure when we'll next be back. The good news is, their chicken steak is still just as yummy! We ordered: - Grilled chicken steak with black pepper sauce and spaghetti (4/5): Super crispy skin and juicy chicken. The black pepper sauce adds a fragrant touch - much better pairing than the mushroom sauce we got on a previous visit. The spaghetti portion is smaller than at most other HK cafes and isn't as good though. - Baked sole filet with rice and white sauce (3/5): Had high expectations for this dish but it didn't quite meet them. The rice used was plain white rice which isn't what I'm used to at other HK cafes and it left me a bit disappointed since it meant the dish was much more monotone in flavor and there were bites that were unflavorful. The fish itself was generously portioned and easy to eat with the warming cheese and white sauce combo. Wouldn't get again only because I know other spots that do it much better but decent overall. - Beef stew with noodle (3/5): Had expected this to be dry style with the beef stew over softened egg noodles but it came out as a soup. Beef pieces were tender and generous. Egg noodles were a bit overcooked. - Sticky Rice Dim Sum: They were massive and decent in flavor. They were a little mushy I think because it had been steaming a while (which was probably why they were quick to be served) but we didn't mind - Siumai: Generous amount of fish egg on top and was pleasantly meaty. We found parking in the front but also know there's a lot in the back. The restaurant itself is big and pretty empty and quiet. We were glad that service was friendly and quick this visit since the first time we were there one of the servers gave us attitude.
