Sometimes you want to like a place with the cute decor and bustling bar, but my party and I had a truly terrible experience. The food itself looked fine with dishes like the street corn, roast half chicken and snakebite sandwich, but the service was unacceptable. I understand that certain items such as roast chicken or steak might take longer, but it took more than an hour and a half for our meals to arrive. We were the only table sitting out on the patio, which makes it even harder to understand how we could have been so completely forgotten. There were no check-ins, no updates, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. When the food finally arrived, it was even more disappointing to find that our party's steak, ordered medium rare, was served undercooked and rare. To make matters worse, the "doggie chicken breast" we received was heavily seasoned and salted, hardly something appropriate for a dog. The prices here suggest a higher quality of restaurant, but the service, attention, and basic care for the food did not come close to reflecting that. It just leaves me feeling, frustrated, and disappointed from start to finish, leaving me with no reason to return. read more

This place is great inside, love the decor. Our service was really good. I wish I would've gotten her name. We had chicken wings, Chicharron, western burger, and the regular burger can't remember the name. The food was delicious. Wasn't a huge fan of the chicken wing sauce, but not a big deal. I don't recommend the Negroni slushi , it was really bitter. We were just traveling through town but next time we are out that way we will definitely stop by. read more

For a party of 7 on a Saturday night, we were seated fairly quickly which initially felt like a good sign. Our order was taken soon after being seated which seemed promising. WRONG. We waited over AN HOUR for our food. One friend ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer which came out 40min later. They were so salty she couldn't eat them. There were no updates from our waitress about the delay, no explanation for the long wait, and not even water refills. When I got up to ask about our food, I saw three waitresses standing around on their phones. The back of the restaurant was empty, and the front wasn't busy either. At that point, we were seriously considering leaving. When they finally did bring out our food it was SO SALTY inedible. I got wings and fries: SALTY, 3 different pastas: SALTY. One friend's chili was brought out incorrectly despite being clearly requested without cheese or sour cream. The corrected version took another 15 minutes, and by then the rest of us had already "finished," leaving her to eat alone. The only thing the restaurant did right was removing the automatic party gratuity -- but only after we asked. Given the service and food quality, there was absolutely no justification for it. This place was cute with its decor. The service was good and the food was delicious. It did not disappoint with the beet salad. The cut up beets were as much as the arugula salad and the feta cheese with the dressing was perfect. Usually other places it's not enough of anything. The pepperdoo is so cute and surprisingly juicy with its peppery tomato taste. Never seen any in my beet salad. The wings were crispy and juicy in the inside. The drinks were good. SUCH A CUTE, FUN PLACE! if you're looking for a saloon vibe with some good fries this is the place for you. They had several vegetarian options which meant I got to actually pick what I wanted. I got the Joshua Tree tacos which was a popular dish, and it didn't disappoint. It was definitely flavorful but I would have loved some other sauces on there. I also got a side of fries which were so crunchy Our server was very sweet and conversed with my group. Also while you're waiting for seating, you can play a game of pool at the front. This bar is The Rolling Stones to the rest of the high desert's Monkees. My favorite local bar. I love the option to have a diner experience on one side and a dark bar hang on the other. Totally impressed with this place from the moment we walked in. Told the hostess that we were in a bit of a hurry, and she spoke with the chef and was able to confirm that we could be out quickly, even though it was 6pm on New Year's Eve. Love this place. Great gastropub/upscale biker bar theme/ambiance. Friendly service and the servers dress the part lol. I had a custom old fashioned, which was excellent. Then a wedge salad with fried pork belly as the added protein (it's as delicious as it sounds). Then pork belly tacos, which were also great. I went to bar and asked if open seating and it was. We sat and were given menus and were not asked if we like a drink for over 5mins while the bar tender who was not busy, only 2other guys at bar drinking, the bartender just chatted it up and ignored us. We stopped in from what turned out to be a very long drive back from Vegas and let me say we are so happy we did. We called ahead to make reservations and when we got there we only had maybe a 5 minute wait tops (there was a waiting list so plan ahead). Now the atmosphere when we walked in just felt like home. The smell of the food being served made our mouths water. When the food started coming we were not disappointed, everything was better than we expected. I wanted something light and had a bowl of chile, the flavor was ... so good, you could really taste the smoke from the brisket in it. My wife had the lobster mac & cheese with a beef dog and lets just say there wasn't anything left on her plate. Our son had the pork chops, same thing, only bone left (cleaned). I cannot rate this place high enough, great food, service and atmosphere. Don't be surprised if the owner doesn't stop by to ask how everything was. Came here for dinner because the reviews were good and it seems a lot of places in JT are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Glad we did. Karen was our server and she was great. Friendly conversation and great service. Yelp says it's a roller rink too, but apparently that part has been closed. We didn't go to the a bar side, but it was cute. We got the western burger and Joshua tree (veggie) tacos. They live up to the name snakebite because everything has bite to it. The bbq sauce on the western has a nice little kick to it while my friend said her tacos were so spicy she was "breathing through her teeth" We will definitely go back when in town again. read more
