Great place for breakfast have been here twice already and I really enjoy it. Since COVID hit we tend to get more takeout so it's really nice that this place brings your order out to your car once you park in the designated pickup area. The people on the phone taking the orders are always really friendly. The food is really good and I like how they offer something for everyone and so far everything I've tried is pretty good. This place from what I've seen tends to be pretty busy on weekends especially if your choosing to dine in so keep that in mind. But overall great breakfast place With lots of options! read more

Old school diner with an Old school feel...Family friendly atmosphere with great service and serving a truly All American Fare..Place was packed with locals, which is a great problem to have and a very good sign...All the food coming out to the tables looked great..Menu is huge, with plenty to choose from.... Started with Biscuits and gravy...biscuits were amazing!!.and the gravy was just the right consistency...Wife went with 2 egg breakfast with corn beef hash (which you don't find everywhere), wheat toast and bacon...I went with The Complete Breakfast...eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage links, toast and OJ (Sunny D)...Both plates had huge portions...Wife's corn beef hash was really good...I couldn't stop picking at it...eggs were buttery, sausage links were tasty..toast was cooked perfect..although needed more butter, which was an easy fix, as they have all the fixings at the table you could need to improve the toast in your life. My hash browns were perfectly cooked, nice and crispy...Wife "Home Fries" were good, but were on the soft side, and not crispy at all, which is a personal preference when it comes to breakfast taters..Biggest let down, loosing a star with that....was the Bacon...it was deep fried..which just destroys everything bacon was born to be...it MUST be cooked slow and in its own savory grease...and it was actually a thicker cut of Bacon...so the loss was on both sides... #baconlivesmatter ..I would rather have it cooked ahead the proper way and thrown in the Microwave for a few seconds to reheat...yes that important to us..Would bacon stop us from returning, unfortunately yes. read more

This was my first time going to this cafe and it was great. I'm originally from a small town of 5k people and the cafe felt like one back home. The wait staff was friendly and the people even more so. I ordered eggs, bacon, waffle, and a hot tea. Everything was cooked perfectly, eggs just runny enough, bacon crispy but not burnt, waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I loved how they provided the hot tea with a small kettle of more hot tea. I went there hungry and left in a food comma. read more

Went for breakfast which appears to be a favorite in Katy although quite frankly the lunch looked equally excellent. The breakfast menu is quite extensive and I ended up ordering a vegetable omelette. However before commenting on the food let me make some remarks about the service which was prompt, thorough, courteous and quite pleasant. Let me likewise note that the restaurant was packed and the waiting line was extensive however the service was such that we were seated in approximately 15 minutes. On to the meal....the portions are quite extensive on every plate meal that I saw served including my own. As I stated I had the vegetable omelette which was well prepared and by no means sparse with ingredients. The grits which was one of the options for a side were perfectly prepared. I would have preferred a more flavorful dish however it was by no means objectionable. I likewise had ordered a side of link sausage which was perfectly prepared as well. My intent is to return for the Greek Omelette which was had by my daughter as was more to my liking considering the spice. This restaurant should be on everyone's breakfast list. read more

A small town, family run cafe/diner with something for everyone. No its not decked out w/ modern decor & beautifully painted walls. But hey, get over it...ya can't eat the chairs or wallpaper! Went for the Deuces combo this go round. I opted for french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage, plus my greedy butt added a side of grits LOL. All was hot & fresh. This place has some of the best grits I've ever had in a restaurant setting. Doesn't have that watery, bland texture & flavor you find at other spots. Nice, thick & buttery. We were in town for the weekend and decided to try Snappy's after looking up "breakfast places in Katy". We were NOT disappointed!! This is a hidden gem, we had friendly service as soon as we walked in. Given that it was a Saturday, we were willing to wait as we really didn't want to drive any place else. We were seated in about 20 minutes. We were impressed with how everyone worked and cleared the tables as quickly as they could. The coffee was so good, I already knew I picked a great place based on that. LOL I ordered the eggs and waffles, my husband ordered the steak and eggs. The waffle was perfect, and the steak was so good leaving us wanting more. The wait staff always had a smile and friendly attitudes. Fun place with lots of local people and staff that knows their regulars. Warm and friendly feel and great menu choices for all kinds of breakfast options. I had the eggs and grilled pork chops. The chops are generous cuts and beautifully prepared. Not everyone got exactly what they asked for the first time, but they were accommodated quickly. And I know that the management team took care of their associates during Harvey, but that is no excuse for poor food. As in any american diner the wife and I chose classic american style breakfasts. My eggs sunny side with corned beef hash, My wifes hash browns, with eggs over easy, bacon and one pancake. As I began my drink order of my usual coffee and orange juice the waitress politely asked me if Sunny D would be ok, perplexed as to whether she was joking or not, i politely said "no, orange juice would be fine". Her response was less than comedic. What kind of breakfast joint...NAY! RESPECTABLE RESTAURANT, serves SUNNY FRIGGIN D as a drink?!?!? I should have trusted my instincts and just cancelled my order and left, but I kept the faith in my fellow men and women who are devout Snappy patrons claiming that this is the "BEST" breakfast in the city. Small town diner feel with food that you would expect, such as chicken fried steak and typical breakfast fare. We went for Saturday brunch time, which was crowded, but didn't wait long. Great service and I was happy enough that they had brown gravy for chicken fried steak. Upon walking in, their little lunch buffet selection is on the left, so you can see what they have vs ordering from the menu. I opted for that with chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and Mac and cheese. Food was good, not necessarily great, but it worked well with the atmosphere. Hubs had a breakfast place of eggs, sausage links, and pancakes. 5 pancakes at that! What a big meal and it was actually yummy. My husband and I enjoy going to Snapys for fried chicken, we believe Snappys has some of the best fried chicken in Katy! We decided to get take out on a Sunday afternoon, and since it takes 20 min. After you've ordered the chicken we called Snapys. It's an hour round trip from our home to patronize snappys. When my husband got home with the orders we were disappointed to find that we were missing 25% of the chicken pieces! You're supposed to get 4 pieces per order, we each got 3 pieces! Not wanting to drive an additional hour round trip we called snappys to report the problem., we were told we have to wait until Tuesday and speak to the manager. Inside, there's no sleek, snappy, sexy decor. Just plain simple. But let's get to the food -- down-home delicious! They have a large, varied menu, and breakfast is served all day. I had a vegetable omelette, which came with home fries, and I selected a biscuit (vs. toast) - no substitutions allowed. Could not finish it, the omelette was so large and filled with vegetables. The menu is large, and there is a limited buffet. The waitresses are pros -- quick, efficient, anticipate your needs. The cooks must be on roller skates, because the food came out quickly and hot. The grill is not large inside, but it's comfortable, and the acoustics are good. So don't judge a book by the cover -- this place is great! read more

Love this very casual little greasy spoon, staff is great. My only constructive criticism is that the chef needs to learn how to perfect an omelette, it's often over cooked and flat. Please take the time to master this, it's essential at a a cute little place like yours. Blend the eggs in a blender.... Watch a video on YouTube or perhaps allrecipe. SO! this past weekend I was working one Saturday and a group of us headed to this local favorite. The people are friendly, the service is fast, and the price is reasonable. It had that feel of a small town diner. A few of the guys that I work with frequent this place. It was like 'Cheers' where everyone knew their name. When I visited I ordered a bacon cheese-burger with fries and a sprite. The bacon was good, the patty looked fresh and pattied up that day so I'm wondering if its local beef? The fries are your standard small town deli frozen fries. All in all it was a good experience. Good food for a quick bite. It's an A-OK place. Good Lord I found my new favorite country breakfast place! What is important to one man is different from the next but this is important to me to find a good country breakfast place. I always wanted to move out away from the big city and find a home cooking favorite place to eat that makes you feel warm and "welcome". This is a plain, old-fashioned breakfast / lunch diner thingy. They still allow smoking inside, their creamer is artificial and it's a little noisy. But for breakfast, the kind that will stick-to-your-ribs, this place is pretty darn good. A local shop in Old Katy, they only do breakfast and lunch. I've really only gone for breakfast, and I like it. Big plates, coffee that is just OK and a nice wait-staff. I'd rather go here than Denny's or any other chain. It's just down the street and it's cheap. So, if you're looking for a diner experience -- a REAL diner experience -- this is your place. If you don't like latent smoke, a bunch of old guys shooting the breeze or the potential of eggs cooked the way you want them, you probably should stay away. read more
