I love Snuffy's! The wait staff are friendly and responsive. The food is always good and it is laid back, homey atmosphere.

Just like I remembered as a kid. Wait staff was excellent. Burgers were great, buns toasted perfectly. Fries piled in a way that keep them warm - nice. Strawberry shake was delicious. Friend had chocolate-coffee-banana. Also good. The founder is all about supporting local highschool sports programs. read more

We went to the old Snuffys In St Paul for years. It was a favorite because their amazing malts. I guess everything has to die. We went to this new one with high hopes and higher expectations. Rob didn't mind it. I found the burger and fries just ok but the "milkshake" was a major disappointment. No taste of vanilla or of malt and watery ice cream. Not going back. read more

Snuffy's Bloomington. The service was great and a good location. The space is open with lots of hard surfaces which makes for a noisy dining area. The place is super clean and recently refinished. I love an open kitchen which Snuffy's has. There's no WiFi and they do not take Apple Pay but do take plastic and cash. I started with the chili, it was a bit under seasoned but a dash of salt made it perfect. The chili is a rustic style with large pieces of ground beef and vegetables. The chili is not even a little spicy (hot wise). There is a ton of seating with tables, booths and high tops. They do not serve alcohol but come for the malts I suppose. There seems to be a party room that is separated from the main dining area. I ordered the basic burger with cheese and bacon, a side of single serving fries, which were enough for 2 people and a side of ranch dressing. The burger was an old style burger so don't expect a lot here: thin patty, super thin bacon and cheese, that's it. The fries are bagged (as opposed to hand cut) but they're lightly salted and good. I have to mention that both the chili and fries came out lukewarm but were both delicious. I asked a ton of questions and the server was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. I didn't think it was super expensive... I got a cup of chili, burger, fries, a side of ranch and a soda for $16 before tip. I would come back here. I can't judge the whole place on one trip and based on the limited food I had. I will be coming back and ordering something different. read more

First time at Snuffy's. I was truly impressed as soon as I walked in the door and noticed how well the establishment was prepared for COVID distancing. Coming from Florida where COVID is not really taking seriously and seeing how mask wearing and social distancing is top priority made me feel comfortable. The service was excellent and our waitress Ellie made sure we were taken care of. The food was great and the serving size made me think I would be rolling out the door. Loved Snuffy's! read more

Stopped in to try this since we are up here on vacay away from Florida! I have to say the staff was AMAZING! Everyone was dealing with COVID in the best way and I was impressed maybe because Floridians only care for self and don't follow ANY rules dealing with COVID! Now the food was way better than expected the malts are delicious and filling! I would come here every time I come to the area! The onion rings was some of the best I had the spicy snuff and let me Tell you it was flavorful and juicy! I have to say that the price point was spot on for the amount of food you get here! Ordering/pickup was absolutely slick. I was very impressed with the staff, who was friendly and prompt getting my order to me when I arrived. I got a mushroom cheeseburger and fries and a dreamsicle milkshake. All the food was good standard fare, but the milkshake blew me away. I would say this is a nice staple place at a reasonable price, and I would most likely come here again. YUM! Called and placed an order. We all got burgers- they were amazing. The buns were so good- soft and crispy- brushed with butter and put on a griddle I am guessing. The burger itself tasted like a homemade patty you get from a small town diner. The fries were excellent too- we got the regular fresh cut ones but they also have waffle ones. Our server was horrible, amazing food but our server barely acknowledged us, we wanted to order malts after our meal and the waitress just came over after our food and gave us our check. She never asked if we wanted anything else. I also did try to get her attention when she came to grab the check book but she totally ignored me when i tried to say something to her. After we payed she just slide the check book on our table and never said anything else to us. I'm so happy there's a Snuffy's in Bloomington! We enjoyed the Snuffy burger which was very good. We split a single serving of waffle fries (which was plenty to share) with seasoned sour cream. I had the full fudge malt and my husband had the full vanilla malt. We'll definitely be back. The location is kinda crappy, but we're hopeful that an established MN small chain can stay in business there despite that! read more

April 13, 2019 Just wanted to share my experience at your new Bloomington location prior to any online review. My son passed his drivers test yesterday so I told my 3 kids and boyfriend I wanted to take them to one of my favorite places when I was growing up. The experience started out great. We ordered burgers, fries, onion rings, malts, shakes. The food came and we were told the malts would be out in a minute. Our food was great! We finished our food. Someone else cleared our table. No malts. We finally caught our waitresses attention. She brought our bill not our malts. We asked for our malts and we were told there machine sometimes messes up and they would be right out. 25, yes 25 minutes later we were signaled to come from our booth to get our malts. I had paid in the meantime and had to ask (there was no offer) that a couple of them be removed from our $85 bill. There was literally zero communication with us on what could possibly have taken 25 minutes to make 5 malts. At one point we saw 5 workers around what we thought were ours in just total confusion. No manager apologized. No offer to refund the total amount of malts. No communication. I worked in the industry a long time and know how easy it is to win back a customer when they have a bad experience. There wasn't even a slight attempt at this. So disappointed in one of my childhood favorites. read more

Let's face it, we go to Snuffy's for the Malts, not the food. What I liked - the interior is not over the top, simple with the names of some of the Bloomington grade schools. The staff is very friendly It's not too loud - we were able to have a table conversation without yelling. Food - We both had bacon cheeseburgers with onion rings The flavorless micro thin burger cooked very well done - kind of like a slice of a hockey puck Onion rings - many still had the skin on the onion - leaving it almost impossible to eat - also an individual order of onion rings will easily feed 2 adults. But the Malts - loved them - not at all disappointed This is not the place to go if you or anyone in your party is gluten free, vegetarian or diabetic I hope they make it. read more

Is it shameless to write a review for my cousin and his wife's burger shops? NO! My first time (in a long while) at their restaurant and I loved it! Marrying old school with new school versions of a great, and reliable diner. Love the fact that this family business weathered the Covid storm...and the malts? Really good food, obviously. Nice open kitchen for those of us with trust issues. Long wait times at this new location, 645pm arrival was a 40 minute wait time. The patio is not open yet. Really good service. LOTS of malt flavors. The dining room is open enough that you can move around, but it's very loud and hard to hear conversations. Plenty of parking. read more

Glad to finally see a busy restaurant in this building! Malts are a must-have. Real ice cream, real fruit. Portions are large. Half size malts are plenty. Family size onion rings enough for 4. They were very busy @ 6 pm on Saturday. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Service was slow but the servers were friendly and seemed overwhelmed. The service here is a total mess. Took fifteen minutes to even be greeted. It's an open kitchen concept so it's pretty obvious that servers don't help each other at all and just check for their own tables. Watched baskets of burgers sit there getting cold for a very long time. Also never brought the Diet Coke I ordered. Food was not very good and cold. Onion rings all covered in onion skin and cold. If they are gonna make it here they need to step up their waitstaff. Hire table runners or something. read more

I have never been here but I have ordered from DoorDash here twice now. Each time our meals were fantastic! The fries were even still hot which usually doesn't happen with delivery! Both times I got the spicy burger with jalapeños, pepper jack, and spicy mayo (which nicely comes on the side). Overall great place and I can't wait to come to the location eventually! read more
