Great experience at this Persian-inspired breakfast cafe in West Hollywood! I shared the following breakfast burritos with others: -The SIG: Yummy breakfast burrito! I loved the spicy flavor of the chorizo. Rich filling that's creamy and gooey in a good way. -The Cali: My favorite of the two burritos. I loved the meaty and charred steak which married well with the cheesy and creamy fillings. This went great with the side crema. I loved how both burritos used fresh tortillas that held the fillings together well. Solid breakfast burritos for LA! The ambiance is like a speakeasy since this cafe is located past a narrow alley way that's pretty hidden. I came on a Saturday at noon, so it was pretty packed. All the seating and tables are outdoors with some shading. It feels tropical, relaxing, and nice. The staff were pretty nice too. I would definitely come back to try the drinks as well!

I tried all 3 breakfast burritos so you don't have to!! Jk The Sig- everyone's favorite but sadly not mine. It's beef & turkey chorizo but it was overall too mushy for me. Flavor is great though The BB: beef bacon except there was quite literally only 5 small cubes of bacon inside total....I'm not even exaggerating LOL the eggs were fluffier in this burrito but it was basically just an egg burrito. The Cali: my bf & my personal fave. The steak is seasoned sooo perfectly. The best steak burrito I've ever had. I like that it comes with pickled onions and you get to choose a sauce. Get the honey chipotle aioli and skip the cilantro crema here. Their cilantro crema lacks flavor compared to wake n late. A good amount of seating except not enough umbrellas for shade. Some tables are just straight up out in the sun. A solid breakfast burrito spot in LA but I wish it wasn't so far from me! Metered street parking, typical for LA.

Didn't love the wait - the queue for the food probably took a little over an hour for a bfast burrito but the food didn't disappoint. I got the sip burrito and matcha americano. The burrito had crisp texture from the tater tots and felt super filling from the avocado and egg. Their pico was good as well! The trick seems to be to order online beforehand and pick up the food to save some time!

Really great breakfast burritos :) I really have liked how the tater tots in the burritos are ALWAYS crispy! At this location, in Sawtelle, and even from delivery! I usually get the Sig with no avocado. I've also tried the tater tots by themselves, and they're so yummm. At the West Hollywood location, there's also drinks, so I grabbed a coffee and it was decent. Street parking was fine, and there's pretty good seating. Service was great, despite being a bit busy. I really liked the seating arrangement at the West Hollywood location, since it was outdoors and clean. If a friend is looking for breakfast burritos, this is where I recommend them to :)

    Tater tots are a must.

Food was good. Tasty, in fact! The staff were friendly and courteous. Fortunately there was no line when we arrived and so we ordered and were able to grab the last small, two-top, sadly, in the sun, to enjoy our order in-person instead of having to take it to-go. The breakfast burrito and tater tots were hot, fresh and solid choices. I'd order all of it again. The place is located up a narrow alleyway, but not an actual alley, off of the sidewalk. It's tucked back inside the block. Like many places in L.A. now, get in line, order and wait for your name to be called. If you're fortunate enough to find a place to sit and eat your meal, that's a win. Street parking isn't readily available.

Breakfast burritos are my thing, and this place was the rage that we had to come try out for ourselves. They're located in a tiny shop that looks like a co-op of several restaurants in one. Street parking was ok considering we came fairly early. You place your order at the counter, and find a seat inside or on the side patio. The wait for the burrito overall took about 15-20 mins as there were quite a number of folks before us. The price is a bit high for a regular-sized breakfast burrito, but nonetheless, I'm still glad I got to try it. Since my friend and I were on a breakfast burrito run that morning, we split the chorizo and egg burrito. The filling was tasty and came with potatoes, and the overall flavor was very delicious. I also loved the honey chipotle and chilantro (aioli?) cream that added to the flavor profile. My only qualm with the burrito was that it wasn't wrapped well. It was a bit loose and started to fall apart as we were eating it.

The breakfast burritos are actually so good! We waited about 25 mins in line on a Saturday so definitely try and get there earlier. The burritos are definitely shareable which I love!! The sauces are great and I like that they have different options. There's a cute outdoor space to sit and eat. There are limited spots though so tables move as much as they can.

Took a little long but its fresh. Hugeeee burrito unlike wake & late but I wish they let you get 2 sauces for the huge burrito & not be adamant that you have to pay for extra im not broke but like the sauce is gonna come out of the tip so yea Yummy matcha too with great flavors for real matcha unique flavor lovers perfect after a hike solid 8/10 would be 9 if it wasn't almost $30

If you don't mind spending a premium and waiting a bit for your food, Sobuneh delivers a genuinely delicious, high-quality breakfast burrito driven by perfectly crispy tots and stellar aiolis. I will say it's a must vist!

Where do I start. This place is beyond good. Friendly staff that goes above and beyond. Service was fast and easy. The ambiance is giving aesthetically pleasing. It is a little smaller than I thought it would be. The coffee was delicious. I would definitely recommend. I got the honey cloud and it was tasty. I do really think the burritos look delicious, I want to come back and try one!

tried the sig burrito and the hashbrowns!! the burrito was so good and flavorful and the hasbrowns were really crispy which i prefer better than soft hashbrowns! the sig usually comes with avocado but im allergic :( so i got it without, but it was still really yummy! also tip: order online!! when i got there the line was like out to the street and looked like a 45min-1hr wait but since i ordered it online i was able to skip the line and get it right away. also the seating area is really small and most people ate their burritos standing up, but if u can find a table its a really nice experience!

FINALLY!! Sobuneh has been on my list for sooo long. There is only one breakfast burrito that still ranks above the Sig for me. These burritos are absolute flavor bombs and the chorizo mixed with the cilantro lime aioli was an excellent balance. The Sig had a FAT avocado portion, eggs cooked well, cheese ratio was exactly as it should be, and tots were perfectly crispy. I even liked the beans, which I normally skip and the pickled onions on the side were a great touch. I also tried a bite of the Cali and that one was also great, steak was cooked perfectly. I really like that every meat option was beef based. The Sonnati matcha latte was also quite unique -- I'm obviously very used to Persian flavors but I wasn't sure about this one and it worked out very well. I liked the upstairs seating area a lot as well, a great little cozy nook to finish breakfast. They were apparently short-staffed the day we visited, per the staff, but frankly the ops speed was still high and everyone was very friendly -- we didn't wait long at all!

I heard about this place every now and then on social media so after looking for breakfast burritos, I wanted to give this place a try. And oh boy, is everyone at this place super super kind. When I arrived and walked through the path to get to the order window, I was greeted with a friendly hello. At the counter, we had a conversation about what the best choice of burritos would be, filled with genuine kindness. Even when the food arrived, I was told a sauce I ordered wasn't available and offered a free tea in lieu of the sauce not being available. It was a really great way to start the morning and kept me feeling uplifted the entire day. You don't really find that too often when you go to any type of restaurant, so I felt that alone was worth the experience in and of itself. When picking out what burrito to get, I was told the bb burrito was the person who took my order's favorite, so I gave that a try. I loved how rich and creamy the burrito was, how the hash browns had so much texture and crunch, and how the beef bacon pulled it all together. The addition of the pickled onions really was a nice touch as well. The chamomile tea from sadaf was really good too. The ambiance is nice. They have a complimentary water station with really cold water, alongside an outdoor patio with a decent amount of seats. If you're early enough, you can hear the birds chirping away too. This is a great place to go to start your morning right!

We made a reservation on their website which offered options later than what we chose. We chose 10pm. Upon arrival the host was having a conversation with another host and an employee. They didn't acknowledge us and we had to interrupt saying we had a reservation and gave the name on our reservation. They continued the conversation and didn't even make eye contact with us. The host grabbed menus and said right this way, still holding that conversation. We were seated and waited 11 minutes before the waitress came. She came and was not friendly at all. She explained that the kitchen and bar was closing and we needed to put everything in now. Which if we would have known from the very start we would have just went somewhere else, but they also charge your card to book a reservation. We put in our drinks and what we wanted to eat. She explained we would need to order multiple drinks now if we wanted them otherwise the bar is also closed. I've never been to an establishment where the bar closes at the same time as the kitchen. So we got two drinks each (of the same drink). We got one appetizer before the drinks came out. Half way through eating the drinks arrived, but we were confused why we got sent both of the drinks at the same time. We were under the impression we would order them and once we got the first one and tried it they would bring the other shortly after. My drink was horrible and tasted like a desert that was served with stale churros. The other two drinks were watered down already and it was frustrating feeling like you need to chug your drinks.. this is an upscale restaurant not a bar. We asked to talked to the manager and the server came instead to see what the issue was. We explained our confusion and expressed that we have never had drinks come at the same time, typically you order it, but you wait to bring the next one out since it'll water down or if you don't like it now you can't cancel it. I also explained to her I didn't like my drink and now I have two of them with stale churros before I even have a meal. She offered my partners second drink to me instead of offering another drink and took away my drinks + the churros. The manager came and immediately had said that he heard we were unhappy with the drinks, they're closing and he would comp them no problem, didn't ask us what was wrong or give us time to speak and was trying to walk away.... I interjected and said we should have been told by the host you were closing otherwise we wouldn't have sat down. My partner also interjected and said that there was later times on the reservation so it didn't make sense. The manager blamed the company and said they have been asking for online to be updated because it does not reflect their hours, but they won't fix it. I explained regardless of an online issue it should have been addressed by the host and those 11 minutes waiting we could have already had a drink. He had nothing more to say and rushed off which was also frustrating to not be heard at all. We kept waiting for our food. It was now almost midnight we were waiting for 40 minutes. I have watched our surrounding and noticed other waitresses still serving couples their drinks after we had been told the bar was closed. I also noticed no one else was being rushed out the way we were. The manager came up and said they forgot to put in the food and tossed a business card on the table stating the next time it was on him and to not worry about it and expressed he was sorry, but was still rushing away. Mind you other people were still enjoying their drinks and sitting. So we left with no food and wasted over an hour of our time since we do not live in the Hollywood area and drove specifically for this restaurant. It was too late to get a reservation anywhere else and we ended up having to get fast food. Overall ambiance is excellent, however not worth it. I think restaurants get too much hype online then stop trying to give excellent customer service.

NOT! If you trip, you will fall over an excellent Mexican restaurant without trying. So for me to give a Mexican restaurant this mini stars means that it's exceptional. And I can tell you that when I walked in at 3:30 the place was packed. There were no inside tables at all we were relegated to the patio because that's the only place to sit. Even the bar was full. El compadre reminds me of an old Vegas casino. When you walk in, you have no idea what time of day it is. It is a classic dark, red booth environment that only a good restaurant can get away with. Most of the patrons look like they've been coming there forever, which tells you that it's a favorite for people in the neighborhood. But the reason they keep coming back is because of the food and the service. The minute you sit down, they bring you a bowl full of chips and salsa. You have to try one of their flaming margaritas which they're known for. How I judge every single Mexican restaurant is by their fajitas. And not just any fajitas shrimp fajitas. That is my favorite dish. In order for me to give a restaurant five stars the shrimp has to be fresh with that snap that only good fresh shrimp has. The vegetables have to be firm but flavorful and the meal has to come piping hot. El compadre scored well on all of those points. If you order the shrimp cocktail, you need to understand that that will be your meal. Because they're huge. Chalk full of avocado and shrimp. It's more like a ceviche than a shrimp cocktail.
