Their prices landed right in the average suggested price that Edmunds True Market Value said the car should be given the age of the car, mileage, features and condition. This price was thousands below what the same car with more mileage was selling for at another dealer. The best car buying experience ever! I have been shopping for used car for some time. I was always afraid when it comes to dealing with dealer's specially buying used vehicle. From my past experience, they always try to force you into something, promising wonders and more importantly lying about the car condition. With Socal Auto group, I was absolutely blown away! I came across their online Ad on Craigslist. First of all, their 35+ pictures of each vehicle that gives you good visual on condition of the car were great. It outlines all the features and installed options. I made appointment with Denis to see the car. When I arrived, Denis went over all the features about the vehicle, carfax report, service records, remaining warranty and all the questions that I had. He pulled this car from the lot and hand me the key for test drive by myself. First time, someone allowed me to look over the car, and allow me to test drive without any pressure. He even offered if I want to have my mechanic to examine the car? Negotiation process was very easy and fair. He gave me exactly the price what I was looking for. Paperwork took 35 minutes, and I was out the door. It's been almost 3 month, and I enjoy my car every single day. I purchased a BMW 7 series from So Cal Auto Group. Drove the car back to northern CA where I discovered an oil leak. I then took the car to a highly reliable mechanic who informs me that the car would never had passed a smog check due to excessive smoke when the idle snap visual test is performed. I took the car to the smog referee and the car failed. I was told this occurs in cars over a long period of time and not in a 300 mile drive from So Cal to Nor Cal. The valve guides needed replacement. The cost is $6000! When I contacted the dealer, they told me they would not fix it and that my issue was with the person they use for their smog checks and not with them. I have since filed complaints with DMV investigations unit and the Bureau of Automotive repair. They are currently investigating this dealership. Be very careful when working with these guys. Have your potential car checked out by someone you trust. read more

This was not a typical car buying experience, thank goodness! Denis and Dimitry were very up-front and honest. True to another Yelpers review, they are totally no pressure salesmen. I was given the keys and told to take my time looking the vehicle over. They were patient with me regarding all of my questions as well. Sadly, when women buy cars on their own, visit mechanics, etc...some unscrupulous people think they can take advantage of that, NOT THESE GUYS! They were great and made me very comfortable. Best car buying experience I've ever had! I bought a 2001 corvette from them with only 5K miles. I'm from Texas and I saw the car on Cars.com. FRAUD ALERT!!! The SAME DAY we drove the car off the lot we experienced problems. Smog certificate was bogus--catalytic converter was plugged. $750 for the new part and no assistance from the seller. Had to file a formal complaint with the Bureau of Auto Repair for fraudulent smog. They were all to happy to sell the car, but not stand behind it. So disappointing... read more

I believe that i originally found an add for one of their cars on craigslist. The photos of the 2010 VW Jetta that I was looking at were phenomenal. So I called them and had a discussion about the car. It was a very professional and friendly conversation. So, even though I live a couple hours away, I decided to drive down and take a look. Gotta love LA traffic because the trip took even longer then expected and the dealer was going to close before I got there. Long story short, they stayed open late just so that I would be able to look at the car. The car was immaculate and had very low mileage! They also had the entire vehicle history report for me to look at. I liked the car so I decided to purchase it. However, I wanted to do the financing through my bank. They were happy to hold the car for me until I was able to go to my bank the following week as it was a Friday. The following week when I came back to get the car the final purchase went very quickly and professionally as my bank has called them and worked everything out. The final purchasing price of the car made it a great buy! I had also mentioned that I wanted to get the windows tinted on the car. The owner took me to a place that he knew and trusted to get the windows tinted. By the owner going to the tint shop with me the tint shop gave me a sweet discount and did a very good job on the tint. I could keep going on and on about how happy I am with every aspect of purchasing a car from SoCal Auto Group but take it from a former car salesman himself, this is the greatest, friendliest, and most professional dealer I have ever dealt with. SCAM Upon entering the lot. It may seem as if you hit a gold mine, stockpiled with an array of beautiful cars of all brands and years. With the car you've been searching for, endlessly. But your eyes will deceive you.... 36,533 miles!!!!!???? Only 9,990!! Wow what steal!!!! But, believe half of what you hear and none of what you see... I was willing to buy it right then and there in full but when I spoke with the owner he wouldn't look at me or my mother. He didn't want to negotiate, it seemed like he didn't even want to speak to us and only looked at his partners. My mother felt it was a shady place and that we should leave. Thank God, we looked at the reviews and found that they lower the mileage down themselves, sell broken cars, and they are scam artists. I thought to myself "why wouldn't he make a deal and take my cash?" "Why are all these cars not selling?" "Wait! Why am I in the ghetto?" I assumed they didn't want to do business with a woman or I even thought it could have been my race. I was surprised by reading the reviews and very pleased I never drove off the lot with one of their vehicles other wise I would have been stranded somewhere with my daughter. I Got some things replaced still giving me problems. Not even 4 months after the purchase the engine needs to be replaced. As someone who owns two other BMW's and has a pretty good understanding of the i6 Engine this should not happen at this stage of this car model. They let me take the car to a certified GM mechanic in Simi Valley to inspect the car. these guys are legit and were really cool. i was paranoid at first about using any sort of private dealer (i had only purchased from branded dealerships previously) but these guys were super helpful and patient and let me pepper them w/ as many questions as possible in order to get comfortable w/ things. they're able to offer great deals b/c of their long-term relationship w/ carmax and the fact that carmax is a volume business which often moves inventory each month at fire-sale prices. i initially called about a salvage title beamer, not even knowing that it was salvage title (which was my fault, it was clearly stated on the site) and not even knowing what salvage title was. i called on two separate occasions and both guys, dimitry and dennis, were all about full disclosure and were very candid about this car as well as their overall inventory. i eventually got a fully loaded beamer 550i at a fantastic price, clean carfax, still under cpo warranty and dimitry even took the time to get it fully checked out by the local bmw dealership and gave me the full maintenance/inspection report. wow! at no time during the process did i ever feel pressured or feel like they were pushing to sell me, which was the complete opposite of all the beamer (and other) dealerships i had been to in the past (i've previously owned two other beamers). this is the first time i've felt satisfied and truly happy purchasing a car (let alone a beamer). def consider these guys, they are totally legit dudes. read more

The car price there always seem reasonable and you can always negotiate to get a better deal. so I ended up with signing a contract for an awesome 08 Saab 93.
