If you're a candy lover, you will probably enjoy this spot. They have a great variety to mix together, and most of them are flavorful and chewy. A few pieces did seem stale, likely due to being left uncovered. The pricing is a little on the steep side- $16.99 per pound- but it's not totally out of line with similar spots, though I couldn't find that listed anywhere clearly and had to ask someone. The staff seemed a bit impatient and dismissive, which was off-putting. The store itself is simple, just a small, concrete place but it's clean. Parking near the Grove can be tricky, so keep that in mind. read more

I got hit with cravings of Swedish candy and I heard this was the shop to visit. Upon entering, it's a very clean, organized, and minimalist looking candy shop. The candies are all labeled along with a description on the taste. Plenty of gluten free and vegan options! There were a lot of candies, which were the most popular that were out of stock, but the staff were nice enough to recommend similar tasting candies. Overall, I will be visiting again the next time I crave Swedish candy. read more

Ever heard the phrase kid in a candy store? Well this sweet shop takes the cake! First things first-- parking on a busy afternoon? Yikes! But fear not, metered street parking is at your disposal. The cashier was so sweet and immediately gave me tips on scavenging for the best sweets. Gummy candies of different sizes, shapes, textures, and sour levels were in abundance. There was also a lovely stock of creamy wholesome chocolates (that didn't taste like sugary chemical compounds), featuring wafers (Kex being my personal favorite), nougat, toffee, digestives, and more! Swedish candy lovers unite! I feel like I've seen so much hype around Swedish candy these days, and this is truly the best place to indulge. My boyfriend and I just happened to stumble by it, and the line wasn't too long so we hopped in. There are SO many options that I felt a little overwhelmed at first but you really just got to go for it. The place is clean and well organized, and we had a fun time just browsing around. We ended up spending I think around $10 for a small bag of candy. Quite pricey but the candies are delicious and super fun to try. I'd recommend separating the sour and the sweet candies to avoid contamination with the flavors! read more

If you're looking for instant gratification for your Swedish Candy cravings without the crazy month long wait (damn TikTok ), you won't be disappointed here! They have a pretty good selection and receive weekly shipments, of course I'm referring to in store purchase BUT they still do ship for those that aren't local and the estimated shipping time is 3-5 weeks.. The lines are long most of the time except early hours when ppl are usually working, I would especially avoid the weekends. Keep in mind though, even though they receive weekly shipments, they can never tell you what they are expecting in those shipments and I've been told it's random? They do sell out really quick and I mean next day quick! I would recommend calling before you make the drive just to be sure they have what you want in stock. The candy quality is great! It's hard to keep this stuff around because it goes so quick in my house! Yes, it's that addictive lol All in all I love this spot, just wish they would restock more often to keep up with the in store and online demand. While they do advertise a lot of the more popular candies, it seems they are often sold out. I've gone the day after a shipment and they were sold out completely of most of the items I wanted so again, make sure to call beforehand. read more

I've walked by this spot so many times and never noticed it. Happy I finally stumbled in because I love sour candy. It's a small, minimal, interior where you can scoop up your candy and then you pay by weight. I liked that I got to try a lot of different stuff. The staff was knowledgeable and efficient, politely answering my questions. Apparently, Swedish candy has gone viral, so it seems like this place is finding a way to manage their sudden influx of increased customers. The candy is solid quality wise. They don't use a lot of the chemicals that are in other candies and I could taste the difference. Got a grab bag of stuff and I paid about $8.50. They also had pre-packaged "BUBS" for $15 and older pre-packed assortments. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to return, because it's not the best candy I've ever had. That said, they have some unique flavors and textures, so if I'm in the neighborhood and I have a craving I'll pop back in. read more

After repeatedly getting sick from candy with artificial food coloring, I came across Sockerbit and my problem was solved! Sockerbit's candy is colorful, fun, and tastes delicious. I love their sour Coca Cola skulls, their caramel squares, and all of their marshmallows. I was SO excited to come here!! Heard many good reviews hyping up this Swedish candy store, but....... Sadly, it was like any other candy store around town. I tried a variety of flavors, and my favorite would have to be the flower and sunny side up mini eggs! Parking is a little difficult here as it is right by the grove, but inside of the store itself is pretty clean! You pay by the pound, so that's something to keep in mind! read more

Blink and you will miss it. Park on the street. Get lucky close by or drive around and walk. Nothing exciting visually about this place except for the Candy! You don't have to know what to get because you will want to try everything. Be ready to spend some $, because it's not cheap. Around $17/lb. I knew from other posts on tik tok to be prepared to spend. I got 2-3 pieces of the candy I thought I would like and I definitely have my favorites, that I will come back to get and probably try a few others. Great plane snack! Dragged in by my teenage daughter to try this candy shop. It's very tiny and overcrowded store with all different varieties of candy. This place has been around for several years now but MAN is it getting a lot of attention right now (Feb 2024) due to TikTok Swedish candy crazy!! I purposefully went right as they opened on a Thursday and I still wasn't alone. It's a small storefront with over fifty varieties of candies - gummies, sours, some chocolates etc. Metered parking is tight on 3rd unless you can time it right. Maybe park at Trader Joe's across the street and pop in there too? Very nice and accommodating staff. read more

I have been seeing Swedish candy everywhere! I finally was in the area and decided to give it a try. I will definitely be coming back soon!! There were soooo many options to choose from and the candies were all so tasty! It's also so fun trying so many different textured and flavored candy! They seemed to be limited on many bubs, as they only had flavors like pear and banana caramel. I love Sockerbit! This candy is so delicious and definitely worth the trek! It doesn't leave you feeling guilty or crappy after eating it and the flavors are soo good! I love the pear bubbs and the pink and blue kitty bubbs. You serve yourself and there's plenty or tongs and scoops to go around! They sell out fast and get busy later in the day so it's better if you go early to ensure you're in and out. Staff is always friendly when I'm there and they don't make you feel bad about spending $60 on candy! I'll be back soon! read more

I was so excited when my mom asked me to take a day trip to LA because I've been wanting to place an order but didn't want to wait for it to ship out. We went shortly after they opened and they were well stocked. They had almost everything that I was looking for. I was greeted when I walked in. When you walk in, you grab a bag and a clean scoop. Then you just go wild in the store and grab whatever candy your heart desires. I got a couple bags for friends and family and ended up spending $136. It's well worth it. It's all so good. I love the pineapple skulls and the sour pineapples. The flavor is so true and very yummy. I will definitely place an order when I run out or take another day trip to LA to grab some goodies. I fell for the Swedish candy craze and Sockerbit didn't disappoint!! It reminded me of going to sweet factory as a kid, but the candies are way better quality! I prefer the sour candies, especially the big skulls! The texture is just so different than traditional candies. The only downside is that you'll probably have to wait on the weekends unless you get lucky! FYI - only street parking is available! read more

I can't tell what Sockerbit is trending for. I know it has gone viral, but I can't tell what the hype is about . How's is this better than Sweet Factory? Is it because it's aesthetic? The place is basically all barren (i.e. not just simplistic and clean) except for the one neon sign. I can't imagine everyone being candy connoisseurs where the quality of these gummies and chocolates are the priority. The store has a small section where they actually put the imported Scandinavian candies like the natural licorice, but the main wall has seemingly generic gummies and sour candy. Is the candy worth $16.99/lb? Most people get a dozen little pieces of candy for $5-6. The bag is cute, but otherwise not packaged nicely like Sugarfina. read more

Clean, friendly service, and quick grab and go. Highly recommend for your sweet treat needs. Tip is to get there early and call to check if they're open. The last time I went, they rarely had the candy that I wanted to try but I went at 5pm. They were also closed the next day because of the lack of supply. read more

This is the best candy store I've found in town! They have all sorts of licorices, sweet and sours, and are fairly priced. I do with they had a greater selection in terms of the type of candy, but I suppose they are sticking true to her Swedish influence! It's a small store, but cutely arranged, and parking can be reasonable. Employees are very nice! They do stay open until 8 on some days, though Yelp indicates 7 pm, and so does their website. read more

This is such a fun place! Straightforward "weigh and pay" format with soooooooo many great Swedish goodies. I went to a candy shop in Stockholm and it DEF reminded me of this place. Selection changes up which is great to try something new but also tough when something you liked the previous time is missing. I have not left a Yelp review in probably two or three years so I hope I am doing this right. Usually I am ok with most places I go. But this was a really unpleasant experience. The candy was good, the store was nice. So really the place is good. I just had a bad experience with one of the workers. I don't know if they were having a bad day or what. But I am looking at candy earlier this year and this person with blue hair comes up to me and asks how everything is going. That's fine. I was just browsing. But then over the ten or so minutes I'm in the store, they keep checking on me specifically. For context I am African American. And the other white customers are getting just a normal 'hey how's it going, let me know if you need any help finding anything.' I've been profiled before, that didn't feel new. But this person just was so curt and strange to me. It felt almost hostile. Eventually they tell me that I had better buy something. It felt like they were saying the store is for "customers." The 'right kind' of customer anyway. I got one of the premade bags and left. I was thinking about leaving this review all year, because I kept thinking maybe they just had a bad day. But then I thought, maybe that's just who they are. Either way, I didn't have a good time at the store, and I worry about that person. Peace and love. read more

I was kind of underwhelmed. I was really to excited to come here because of how hyped up it was. Unfortunately, it did not living up to my expectations. The store was small and they didn't have bubs. A good amount of candies that were out of stock. To be fair, you kind of have to expect that though because of how popular this place is. This cool candy shop was on the top of both my girl's list of places to go while visiting LA. Located right next to The Grove, Sockerbit is a quaint shop that has quality candy! This place is pretty over hyped due to all of the Tik Tok and social media craze around it. Parking is a challenge here, you'll be circling for a while and the lines are long. What disappointed me was how most things were out of stock, which as a tourist who came here specifically, is super disappointing. My favorite candy was the watermelon rambo though, it was super delicious with the creamy filling. read more

They only told me the pomegranate and strawberry bubs were out. I didn't know the banana bubs, sour dizzy skulls, sour peach skulls, banana marshmallows, orange cola, sour strawberry banana, bananan bubs, and tutti fruity were all out as well. That's 90% of my order. I would have canceled it if I knew I was getting a bunch of sour chews that I did not order. I don't even like these. They weren't kidding, the # of candy choices are off the hook. And they do taste so much different than traditional American candy. I loved it! Improvement recommendation...one drawer lid slide per bin versus one big one they doesn't slide well and interferes with other customers present. Another suggestion, how about some kind of partnership with the Sloomoo Institute around the corner? Like a slime themed candy. read more

Visited midday on Monday and the store was quiet, clean and stocked extremely well! The employee working was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and made some great recommendations on what to pick. We each made two custom sodas with my flavors being watermelon blueberry and coconut rose. My husband used the heavy bubbles option while I opted for the light bubbles option. We were able to write out flavors on the label attached to the bottle and seal our sodas after making them. I was so excited to see they had the Faygo root beer that our friend introduced us too along with five additional flavors available for that brand at the store. I grabbed a vanilla crème Faygo and orange Faygo to try later. Their candy was mostly the old school stuff with the Idaho Spud catching my interest, which turned out to be similar in flavor to the Hostess Snowballs so I'm excited to go back and get more in the future. Overall a good experience and glad we don't have to go too far to find our favorite soda brand.

We come here all the time and usually have a positive experience.. today we came in with a friend who opened the lid in the wrong way and he was so unbelievably condescending and argumentative. They have individual chocolates for purchase along with curated boxes and bars. Another customer recommended the semisweet Dubai bar and I haven't looked back since. The prices are above average, but the quality is absolutely there. I highly recommend trying them if you're in the area.
