STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Update - 06/18/2026 Curt Vossekuil has got to be the most USELESS SERVICE MANAGER this dealership has ever had. He was unhappy with my review and wanted to talk to me about the issues we had that triggered the negative review. Upon finally getting ahold of him, he started with there is nothing they are going to do. He then stated they were going to send our service records to a dealership of our choice as they are NOW REFUSING TO SERVICE OUR VEHICLES THERE. During the call he even contradicted himself about covering the work they do at the dealership. I asked to speak with Stephanie Soerens-Borkowski, the dealership Principal, and he proceeded to tell me I will be waiting a long time. This man should be terminated immediately as he will continue to bring down this dealership. ____________________________________________________________ Update - 05/27/26 Having to take our vehicle back yet again. We were charged for replacing a license plate bulb, only to find out the work was never actually done. I'm not sure why the service advisor, Mikey, or the technician didn't bother to double-check that the job was completed before handing over the keys and the bill. Now we have to waste our time returning to the dealership to fix their oversight. Incredibly sloppy service and completely unacceptable. ____________________________________________________________ We've had multiple vehicles serviced here over the years, and I wish I could say the experience improved over time -- it hasn't. The pattern we've seen repeatedly is service writers treating my wife as if she doesn't know what she's talking about, dismissing legitimate concerns, and in some cases, misrepresenting what work was needed or covered. The hood latch incident While her car was in the shop for cam phasers and a water pump replacement, we started receiving repeated alarm alerts through the Ford app. When she called to ask why, she was told they'd "look into it" -- and eventually came back saying she needed a new hood latch. In reality, the hood simply hadn't been fully latched after they moved the car outside to wait for parts. When I called and pointed this out, the service writer immediately agreed no latch replacement was needed. Yet when she picked up the car, they charged her a diagnostic fee for the alarm she only asked about because they hadn't secured the hood. She paid it under protest. That was two years ago -- the alarm has never gone off since, without any latch replacement. The antifreeze issue Ever since that same water pump, cam phaser service, and rear AC replaced, her EcoBoost has been losing coolant. Every time she brought it up, service writer Spencer told her it was completely normal for high-mileage EcoBoost engines to "burn" antifreeze. That explanation was given to her repeatedly over multiple visits. When we finally came in together in 2026, they discovered leaking heater lines -- the very lines that run to the rear HVAC system they had previously worked on. Funny how that wasn't "normal engine behavior" after all. I just cannot figure out where the coolant was going since there are no puddles in our driveway. Recurring wheel bearing The front driver's side wheel bearing assembly has failed and been replaced every other year. Rather than investigate why this keeps happening, they simply run it through our extended warranty each time -- no accountability, no root cause, no warranty on their own work. I shouldn't have to accompany my wife to a service appointment just to make sure she's treated honestly and her car is properly diagnosed. Soerens Ford needs to take a hard look at who they have representing their service department. There's a real problem here with honesty and accountability in the service department here. If leadership can't fix it, hopefully FORD Corp will. read more

Needed a repair on my Honda CRV after I was hit from behind on icy Wisconsin streets. The Body Shop did an EXCELLENT job on my car and it looked brand new when I picked it up. It was sitting waiting for me in a nice warm garage all clean inside and out on a day that was 5 degrees above zero! What a pleasant surprise. I needed a new battery for my 2019 Ford Escape, fast. And i was due for an oil change and tire check. (When it rains...) Checked a location (not a dealer) close to home. They couldn't get me until late in the week. They said if they couldn't do it sooner, a dealer would be further out still. Checked with Soerens and if I could get my car in by 7:00AM the next day they could get it done before the end of the day...and they could do a tire rotation as well. It was done by about 2:30. Purchased a 2015 Ford Focus from here in 2018. It has a million recalls on it. They had my car for two months and sent me to a rental place that kept giving me cars with the check engine light on. Went for an oil change today and waited for 90 mins even though I was on the "express track". They wouldn't check my trunk latch (It keeps opening on its own) during the oil change (even though they told me they would check it out on the phone,) unless I made a separate "diagnostics appointment." I'd give a 0 as well. You are better off purchasing a car that will actually work and last longer than 6 years. read more

Do not buy a car here. 1st of all, they will low ball you your trade, second of all, they do not put fuel in the vehicle for pick up, third I told the salesman that the heated seats didn't heat enough and I wanted them replaced. Oh no, the salesperson said the mechanic stated they worked fine. Well, he didn't test drive it (neither did I) doing over 50moh. It pulls to the right and needs an alignment I emailed about the heated seats and they said there's nothing they can do because I didn't buy there warranty. I didn't even care about the alignment. On my most recent (and last) experience at Soerens: - The service representative that I worked with was very rude and short with me. She made me feel like I was being an inconvenience to her and the company because of my car issues and due to my concern about the cost of services. - Soerens was extremely non-transparent with their charges. I was billed over $230 just for a simple diagnostic test. The manager I spoke with was somewhat condescending (though I do not believe this was his intent); he likened the "services" rendered to my car as a diagnostic x-ray at a hospital; he stated "If you get an x-ray and have a broken toe, it's still a broken toe. No handouts or discounts are given to you by the hospital, right?" On a previous service experience: - I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I was quoted an hour, but I sat around for over three hours. The service workers left supplies in my car (two rags and a small tool kit). The mileage sticker that they put on my car stated that my next oil change was due at 26,000 miles -- I had, at the time, over 75,000 miles on my car. When I contacted them the representative was rude and said they would send me a corrected sticker. They sent me a sticker that said the next oil change was due at 45,000 miles (still not correct). Overall, I would avoid this place like the plague. I've only been there three times, and two of the experiences were absolutely awful. I take my car here for regular routine service, so when I was in an accident I knew right away that I wanted to take it to Soerens body shop. They made the entire process so easy & painless, and my car was done WELL ahead of schedule - I actually got a call the day after I dropped it off that it was ready for pickup. As if that wasn't wonderful enough, they took the time to clean the interior of my car in addition to running it through the car wash!!! Who does that?! Service and Quality. That's what I felt after I left Soerens. I hate the rigmarole of buying a car. Well I should say I used too. The experience Soerens provided left me almost speechless. We didn't feel pressured, harassed, or belittled for what we were seeking to do which was buy a new vehicle. Once we found the car we wanted we negotiated and they sent us out to dinner on them. This place last failed to return calls, unable to perform even tue lowest level of customer service for a recall on, YES, a car I bought from them. I went to Oconomowoc to another Ford dealer and was day and night difference in the level of service. I've been coming to Soerens for the last three years and I've had nothing but top notch service. Today I had a flat tire and I called and spoke to Tyler. Tyler right away knew who I was and assisted me with four new tires and a much needed oil change. Right then and there. He took care of me. Terrible Service. We have tried several times and it gets worse every time. If it weren't for our warranty, we would never come back. The appointment times are never honored. I asked for a phone call before any repairs are done that aren't covered under warranty, it didn't happen. The parts are never in stock when it's covered under warranty. I took my mercury mariner in for a routine oil change and tire rotation "the works". When checking over the car a technician apparently found a couple leaks and cracks. I was told it would cost $2,000 total. Thankfully I said we would hold off. There was also no mention of any issues in our "multi-point inspection". I took the car to our neighbor mechanic with whom we have used but didn't have short notice availability for an oil change. He found NOTHING wrong with the car. Took my vehicle here for repairs because it broke down in Brookfield. The repair was not diagnosed correctly. After I was told the car was ready for pick up, I drove in to pick it up from Madison and it literally broke down again less than a mile from the dealer. Once I got the car back to Soerens, they told me it would be an hour wait to take a look at it. I didn't have time to wait so I left. They called me later to tell me they had to re-seat a cable. Seriously... Then less than two weeks later, the car broke down again. I took it to a different dealer and they were able to properly diagnose the issue. I've taken my Explorer in for basic maintenance and the experiment was always just ok. I called to schedule an appointment for my 2016 Escape w/ 17k miles. The service rep that started to schedule my appointment was confused and wasn't sure if the items I was bringing in the vehicle for were covered under warranty. Naturally it is because Ford has a warranty on every new vehicle. I asked to speak with someone who could get me the answers, the next person was a little better and after venting found out that the 1st person I spoke with was being trained and didn't know all the procedures. I asked for the service Manager, explained the situation once again he was even more useless with one excuse over another. Obviously the Service Manager sets the tone for his department and with that much incompetence it's no surprise I hear negative things from neighbors that have gone to Soerens. Spend the time & money to train your employees. After 20 minutes of being jagged around I told the manager he lost a customer that ownes 2 fords. I had an appointment for an oil change and waited 58 minutes for it to be done. Tyler was extremely polite. I went to the waiting room which was very crowded and could not social distance with the amount of people. Four employees were measuring the wall without masks. Several other employees wore their masks below their noses. I went back to the service desk and someone asked me if I needed help. I said I was uncomfortable with the four people in the waiting room without masks. After some time, Tyler offered a private office for me to wait in which was very kind. I found it ironic that the feed playing on the tv was all about how Soerens was "so safe" with covid and yet they had workers in the waiting area without masks. eased a 2018 Ford Escape from Soerens. Recently had the check engine lights and a message come up saying the engine was at unsafe driving levels and the car needed to stop immediately. Took the car in and received HORRIBLE customer service from the service department. Everyone I came in contact with was extremely rude and dismissive of what was a pretty serious issue with my NEW car. I even spoke with the woman in the finance department who basically told me "so what" that I couldn't use my NEW car for at least a month and a half. They said they would not provide me with a loaner car (while I had to wait for a 4.5 week appointment just to have the car diagnosed) and I would still need to pay the lease payment. I was told it completely unsafe to drive home!!!!! I told the service representative that I had no other way to get home and asked her how I was expected to return home and she told me "I don't know." Didn't even offer me a shuttle ride. I find it alarming that if the car was that unsafe to drive that they would even allow someone in a LEASED vehicle to drive home. What would have happened if the car would have started on fire and I was seriously injured? I decided not to wait and have the work done at soerens. I would rather wait 8 weeks and go somewhere else than sit and deal with the kind of service I received here. Extremely disappointed as I really liked the car before it started having serious issues after ONE YEAR, but would have been willing to continue doing business with soerens and ford but after this experience I will NEVER be using them again for any car purchases in the future and have already forwarned many people NOT to use soerens as a dealership. You would think being a young adult that a dealership would be thrilled to keep you as a lifetime customer since this is the first new car I have EVER had. But clearly they don't care therefore they will be loosing my business and many others. Service is the Worst I have Ever Experienced!! I brought my work car in for an oil change and tire rotation to Soerens in Brookfield for routine service. My car is a company owned fleet vehicle covered under a fleet maintenance agreement with Ford. After waiting for two hours I drove away and the car was making a terrible noise from the front tires. I called them back the next day and they said to bring it back so someone could take a test ride in it with me. They said depending upon what they found they would have to schedule another appointment. So I took it back today to get the test drive after calling ahead to make sure someone was available to check it out and was told when I got there the guy that "does these" was on an extended test drive (whatever that is) and should be back in 15 to 20 minutes. 45 minutes later I am still waiting and when I told them I couldn't sit there all day the service person basically blew me off saying oh well not sure where he is. I have had nothing but terrible experiences from Soerens Ford and have vowed never to return! I am going to research the local Ford dealers and go somewhere else from now on!! read more

I have had my car serviced at Soren's a few times and feel as though the prices are always a lot higher than it seems it should be. I know this is subjective but it makes me wonder. I have taken my car in twice for the "Works" oil change but have decided not to ever do that again after both times they discovered pressing repair issues that both cost over 500 $. They also wanted to repair a leaking seal on my from axel and quoted a price over 600 $. The service writer was visibly upset when I declined to have this done along with the brake repair. This was over a year ago now and still no problems from me skipping this repair, so who knows? Lastly, I am one of the unfortunate souls who bought an Expedition with the aluminum hood and rear lift-gate. Bubbling started when the car was just four years old and out of warranty. After two more years the paint has peeled, bubbling and blistering cover extensive areas of the hood and lift-gate. This is widely discussed on Internet forums regarding the Expedition and Mustang. While accompanying my father during his purchase of a new truck, I mentioned the issue to the salesman since the new F-150 is all aluminum. He told me to call Ford and bring my Expedition in and led me to believe that Ford would help me out. Long story short, no help from Ford, and the body shop manager was mostly interested in finding out which salesman suggested that they would help me out. After that saga, my father bought a new Chevrolet truck... Not sure I'll buy another Ford and will probable seek repairs somewhere else.. read more

I just got a new Ford F150 from Buss Ford before I left Illinois and moving to Wisconsin. I wanted to add some accessories to it, as the dealership in IL told me to go the website and look through what was available. Since I now live in Brookfield, I typed in my zip code and Soeren's was no where to be found? I called the parts dept. only to be placed on hold and then after finding out the parts price, I had to be transferred over to service for installation price (I finally just hung up). What a hassle! The dealership closest to my work is Braeger which allows you to find pricing for just part and/or installation. I will just use Braeger for the purchase & install. I think making use of the internet for accessories & pricing is quick & easy-not to mention comparing prices at each Dealer! Sorry Soeren's-its 2017, my time is valuable! read more

Tyler in service did a great job. I had an oil change not at the dealership and they didn't put on the shield so I had the other engine shield dragging on the ground. In less than an hour, they fixed the problem, gave my car a car wash and didn't charge me. I will make the effort to go back to Soerens for my oil changes from now on. read more

This review is regarding the service department. I scheduled an oil change package (oil change, tire rotation, etc) online over a week ago for a 7am appointment. When I checked in at the service desk, I was told that a technician would not be here for at least 30 minutes and my car will not be ready for 1.5 hours! This is not the first bad experience I've had with this service team. Going forward I will have my Ford serviced at another - albeit more inconvenient - location. I took my vehicle to Soren's to have my gear shifter replaced. As I was getting in my car to leave, I noticed my navigation was not working. I was told I could bring my vehicle back after the lunch hour and I would get "right in" which I did. After waiting over an hour, I was told that my battery was low (which seemed odd to me as my vehicle is only 2 years old) and they were trying to charge it. Later, they returned to tell me my battery was completely dead and my vehicle would not start and would I like them to replace it. Of course, I had no choice and had to have the battery replaced. I left there incredibly irritated that I had to pay more money than planned and my navigation still was not working. I scheduled a second appointment and was given a rental vehicle for my troubles. They had my vehicle all day and I had to call at the end of the day for an update. I was told the USB cord had been stretched and a new one was being ordered and was 2 days out (this was a Thursday). I expected to hear from them by Tuesday at the latest the following week. When I didn't hear anything, I called on Wednesday and left a message. Still didn't hear anything. On Friday I called again and was told my part was in and scheduled an appointment for the following week. So to sum up my experience with Soren's, I had them fix a problem on my vehicle and in return, they created 2 additional problems that cost me more money and time. It took almost a month to get my navigation to work again. To add to it all, I completed a survey with Soren's explaining my experience and I never heard anything back. To me, it seems they not only lack in their service department but they also have no desire to make improvements. I will NEVER return to Soren's and I will discourage anyone to take their vehicle there. read more

I would rate this company a 0, or even negative stars if possible! I started out going to this Ford dealer after moving to the Brookfield area. Terrible service. When you make an appointment, you think it serves a purpose, right-forget about it! Dropping off your vehicle is almost a must for all appointments-even a simple seatbelt replacement! So if you have kids in tow, limited transportation options-forget about it! Once I had my hood replaced due to bubbling paint near the front hood vent- covered under warranty due to being a Ford Defect. They had my car for an extended period of time (days) and then when I picked it up the "Explorer" letters that once went across the hood were not there! I asked why it wasn't complete and they said "Oh, those are on a short backorder, you'll just have to stop back in when they arrive to have put on" WASTE OF MY TIME! Couldn't someone mention that BEFORE? OR better yet...wait for all the parts before having someone come in for the repair so they don't have to make/schedule multiple trips. Seat belt cover keeps coming off in back seat. First time...no issue- it was covered under warranty. This time I brought it in for someone to take a look at (as directed to by staff over phone) The service lady looked at it and then flopped back and forth whether or not it would be covered...finally decided it would be and started to schedule the service date. When I asked how long it would take she asked for the car to be dropped off... I explained that it is very difficult to set up coverage for my kids/transportation and asked that she found out if it would take more than an hour or two to put the new seat belt in....then she flopped back to it not being covered and needing to pay $100 to have it "looked at" (even though she already got the part number, etc.) to determine if its covered. Seriously, save your time, but more importantly, your sanity and avoid this service department at all costs!!!! My old car very unexpectedly died so I didn't have a huge down payment (or good credit) and this dealership helped work out a great deal on an awesome car for me! I worked with Todd and he went above and beyond to put me in a great car for a really good price after another dealership totally screwed me over. After I picked up the car, I noticed the speedometer wasn't working (it was when I test drove it) and Todd came to my work to pick it up and have it fixed for me while I was working! It took them two days to change 4 tires and do the alignment! First day, they said the vehicle was ready and the guy who did the alignment was doing this for 30 years, however, the car was pulling to right significantly, if they test drove it, they could not miss that, it took me 50 yards drive to understand. I dont know how they couldnt figure that out. Then at the second day, when they said it was fixed, the car was going straight but the steering wheel was tilted to left when going straight. It was only after Service Manager was involved, they fixed it properly after almost two days. He was kind and helpful, he realized that it was faulty, even dropped me home when the car was in shop and brought the car when done. I dont know how they could fix any real problem with the car, if they can not handle simple tire change and alignment. They need some kind of quality system that checks for this kind of mistakes. read more

Not at all happy with Soerens Service Dept. Purchased a $47,500.00 2018 Explorer 6 months back and have a power outlet problem. Stopped in a Saturday to see if they had an answer to my problem. No one could help me at all. So I came back 2 Saturdays later and tried again. No help again, to my surprise I was told by a young lady at the service writers desk that no technicians work on Saturdays. I did convince her to see if someone could at least check my battery. Took a while for someone to come out and begrudgingly slap the tester on and mumble something then telling me to bring it back during the week. Fine, I'm retired with nothing better to do so I came back on a Thursday. Drove in and the only service writer looked out at me as if to say "what do want" and finally came out. "What can I do for you" he asked. I explained the problem again and he said "you need an appointment" the next available date is over 12 days from now. So after no one ever telling me I needed an appointment before, and that we can't do anything for you because "Our bowl is full" plus the attitude of the Service Manager, I went inside and made it very clear that I was done with them. Shame, if only 1 person would have went back in the service area and asked if anyone ever heard of this problem I would have been satisfied and made a future appointment, but not with their "too bad , not now" attitude. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change a few months back. The oil was changed and I did not see any problems. Today I brought my vehicle into another shop and was shown that my oil cap was mangled and destroyed when the tech at Soeren's Ford put it back on. This tech was able to finally get it off but had a lot of trouble since the cap was so mangled and continued to break more as he was trying to get it off. Now I have to purchase a new oil cap for $50 because of the neglect of a technician at Soeren's. If the tech from Soeren's had told me originally I would have gladly replaced the cap to prevent further charges and difficulties in trying to get the cap off. I will never be back to Soeren's Ford. I've always avoided taking my car to the dealership for repairs, thinking they were more expensive. My car sat in the driveway for a month with what I thought was a shot transmission. Our other car guy couldn't diagnose the problem, and didn't really try, in my opinion. We towed the car in to Soerens as a last resort. They finally traced the problem to a missing fuse and a few hours and $150 later I was driving my car home. More recently, I brought the car in for squeaky brakes. After a cleaning, the brakes were much improved but still slightly noisy. They looked at the car again for FREE and cleaned everything out again. Overall, this dealer is reasonably priced, honest, provides great communication throughout the repair process, and gets work done QUICKLY. So glad to have found them - will never take my Ford to our 'other' car guy again! read more
