The menu has some classics as well as twists on standard brunch dishes. I loved my avocado toast, which had some unusual texture that made it very memorable. I was surprised it wasn't too busy for brunch. Don't let the secret out!

I am a little torn on what rating to give Jill's and wish I could give 3.5 because while I think a…read more3 is a little low, I don't think a 4 is the right rating. I also want to preface this by saying that I think this place is a solid choice and it is not a bad place to grab a bite or a drink. I have been a couple of times now. While I would go back again, I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. The ambience is good. It's a nice space and it does have space for both larger and smaller groups. The wait staff is also very nice and I have zero issue with them. The food is good enough, although not spectacular. They are definitely going for a high end bar/brunch/dinner spot. A step up from a local pub, a little bit more of a shine/elegance to them. The vibe is actually great for a larger group. The most recent time we went, our table got steak nachos, a burger, the sweet potato and rice bowl (with shrimp added), and a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was reportedly really good (I didn't try it) and looked nice. The nachos were fine, not great. Didn't feel like there was enough cheese, but the steak on it was actually really nice. The rice bowl was really not exciting. There was nothing elevated or nuanced about it. The shrimp was the best part and was beautifully cooked and seasoned, but that was an add on and I would have been disappointed with it if not for the addition of the shrimp (which then made the bowl over $25). We ordered the burger medium rare, and it came very well done. To be fair, when we mentioned it to the server, she took it off of the bill, which we appreciated. Overall, I would say the food is hit or miss. Most of our proteins were cooked very nicely and with good flavor, but the other parts of the meal were just fine, not great. The price point is such that I expect a little more for what I am paying. That being said, the staff is nice and the ambience is good, so for a quick and easy meal, it's worth it if you are in the area.

Burger wasn't huge, but was super juicy, fresh right off of the grill and the Stu sauce was a great addition to it. + Big Al' shroom BOOM Burger - Same comments as above, but with mushrooms, onions and truffle sauce smotherrrred all over it. + Stupendous Cheesesteak - EXCELLENT cheesesteak. The bread was soft and the steak was tender and tasty. The cheese melted perfectly on it. + Cheese Fries - Very good baked cheese fries. These aren't your typical gooey cheese fries, but instead oven baked with probably sliced cheese melted on top. I prefer the "gooier" version, but it was still good. Our family shared this and still had some left over! + Strawberry Milkshake - Spot on as authentic as it gets. Creamy, smooth, no artificial flavor what so ever. + Menu consists of multiple burgers, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, appetizer and sides, but DEFINITELY go get one of the burgers! THE SERVICE ------------------- + PHENEMONAL service from the lone employee working the floor. The woman was very friendly, kind and made sure we had everything we needed multiple times. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- = The restaurant isn't huge, but does have 3 tables for 4, 3 tables for 2 and multiple counter seats. = No private parking lot, but there are street parking spots right outside. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Were the 1st customers on a late Sunday morning at 11 AM and we were pretty much the only diners during our entire time here. There were a few pickup orders, but it was fairly quiet. Don't let that deter you from coming by though!

And you don't have to be a health nut to enjoy these comforts. This is June & Ho. Although there is meat, it's not front-and-center. You're more likely notice Quinoa+veggies, Ratatouille, Wild Rice+veggies, etc. On another side, there are crab and fish cakes, salmon pieces in lemony sauce, grilled chicken cutlets and other proteins. There you have it. So without the foreplay, now let's really get straight to the main act. After reading a June & Ho article in my Westchester Magazine a few years back mentioning their to-die-for Hot Chocolate, all I needed was a visit. When I asked about preparation- all I fixated on was 'imported semi-sweet chocolate chips'. So if you truly are a hot chocolate fiend- winter, spring, summer and fall, this is the move. Service was incredible and patient. Some folks enjoyed light bites up front where there are about 2 small tables. I still find it hard to believe that a place like this will make a rocking hot chocolate! I'm sure there are many places that are qualified to carry the title "World's Best Hot Chocolate"- but June & Ho's is just gangster. It's creamy, oh-soooo-cocoaey and delectable. I don't know the whole secret, but I can tell you the main ingredient is probably love.
