So y am I charged 5.75?! Even at $4.75 this place is way way way over priced. Ridiculous!! I mean airports charge less for a slice of pizza. Pizza was ok but also small! Basically $5 for a slice of pizza in San Antonio like neighborhood pizza that's ridiculous. And then to change the price on my final bill is basically fraudulent. I will never return, your much better off getting a frozen trader joes whole pizza for $5, dominos for 6.50, or get real pizza around the city for $15 for good good. Just placed a delivery order for Sofia's on Bitters Road. Our pizzas and garlic knots were delivered very quickly. We got the BBQ Chicken pizza and the Jalapeño popper pizza and both were excellent. The delivery fee was not ridiculous and our delivery driver was very friendly. Would absolutely recommend Sofia's Pizzeria! read more

Oh miss Ellie, how I miss you. I wasn't even aware that this change had occurred. Needless to say, Ellie's pizza is far superior to that of Sofia's. We tried coming here a couple months ago at 8:30 (they close at 9 and we just wanted a couple of quick slices) yet they shooed us away and didn't even allow us to enter. We came back the other night and wish they were closed like the first attempt. Stale, flavorless pizza was what we were served up. 4 slices for $18 bucks. No tea no shade but those slices weren't worth $4.50 a piece. I don't even like Little Caesar's but would have much preferred an entire hot and ready to one slice here. I previously worked at the east bitters location November and December of last year 2023 and Alan white the owner owes me two paychecks and I had to get the district attorney involved and he still hasn't paid what he owes me. Every time I got paid the checks would bounce causing me to pay my bank back and I wasn't even able to get my boys their Christmas gift. I also found out that there are four other people that made claims to the district attorney office as well. He still hasn't paid me the two paychecks that he owes me. I got the 14" Supreme Pizza -no olives, crispy- and a slice of their chocolate cake. The supreme pizza was very good, they did not hold back on toppings! The chocolate cake had good flavor but was kind of dry. I will be back to try more of their specialty pizzas and wings! PS - sign up for their rewards program and they send you a $10 off coupon! Great pizza, with fresh, highly quality ingredients. Definitely better when you eat in and get it hot/fresh. Travels fine, but the crust is homemade and totally worth eating in for. We've been there a few times where they've tossed the crust for our pizza, so when I say fresh, I mean super fresh. Excellent pastas and desserts too. Smaller interior so not a great fit for huge parties, but we've made that work too. Staff have always been nice - not overly friendly but we don't really expect any fancy service at a pizza place. The pizza crust was soft in the middle and had a good amount of crunch on the outside. The toppings were good too. The chicken wings were crunchy and had a typical buffalo wing sauce flavor. The food was good- not amazing but the service is what made me give five stars. It was awesome. The people behind the counter were friendly and even pulled up another small table to the booth we were sitting in so the hot pizza pan wouldn't be close to my little kids. They offered to cut the pizza slices into smaller pieces to make it easier for my kids to handle. They made friendly conversation with another table of guests that was raving about the garlic knots. It made for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the area and are craving pizza- definitely give this place a try instead of going to a pizza chain. Went by Advanced Auto Parts to pick up some cleaning supplies for my car and thought, you know, I'm here, I'll go ahead and try Sofias. I love Miss Ellie's and miss it so much! I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I picked up the two slice combo, one pepperoni and a cheese. As most places that sell by the slice the pizza was reheated however, it tasted great! The sauce was just enough and not over powering, and I have to say I really enjoyed the pizza dough. It was soft yet crispy, delicate and somewhat sweet. I would imagine a whole pie would be even better as it would be super fresh. Gentleman behind the counter was very nice and the place was clean inside.
