For one reason or another, I like this bar. It is located smack dab in the middle of SoHo and the douchebaggery, but the douchetards do not seem to visit this bar too much. It may be because their egos are too large to fit in the front door. SoHo Saloon is a miniscule bar, but it never seems too crowded to me. There is an outdoor patio and also limited seating inside. The bar staff is always friendly. My only disappointment here is the restroom situation. There is one restroom for females (not sure of the males) due to the limited space in the building. This, of course, can be a problem if you are already doing the "bathroom shuffle." This bar is conveniently located next door to Schakolad Chocolate Factory. So, if you happen to be day drinking, hop next door if you want to treat yourself to some chocolate goodness. I would definitely stop by this bar again. read more

Complete trash. Great bar and potential when we walked in. However after an hr this place really showed its colors. The bar staff, who think they're the greatest thing, were less than desirable and literally the epitome of American entitlement. ZERO personality and took everything way too serious. Recently moved to Tampa from out of state and tried to have a girls night for one of my friends birthday at this bar. I handed them my ID and The bouncer proceeds to bend it and creasing it and when I asked for it back he said you can have a good night and you can call the cops if you'd like your ID back. But after seeing the shape of my ID I wasn't going to waste an officers time to come get an ID that would no longer be excepted anywhere else because of the big large crease and cracked down the middle. as I tried to have a conversation with the bouncer he would not make eye contact with me and continue to check other peoples IDs. Completely unprofessional and rude. Not worth giving them any of your business as they do not know how to tell a real ID from fake they do not use scanners nor black lights. The atmosphere would be great if not for the OBSCENELY OBNOXIOUS level of music. They play it louder than I've ever heard. My boyfriend and I can't have a conversation, and within minutes of walking in I have a massive headache for no reason because they have the volume maxed out needlessly. It ruins a perfectly good bar. I'm also really frustrated with the rudeness of their security staff. Multiple times I've been absolutely not in the way, purposefully making sure I'm not standing in a walkway, and the security staff have come through, pushing and shoving me and other patrons out of the way or grabbing my arm to pull me a foot over. I'm simply watching a game on the tv, minding my own business - none of them should be laying a hand on me without asking me to move a bit so they can get through. I understand if there's something emergent, but there never was in these situations. It's absolutely unprofessional and not okay for a staff member to touch anyone like that. The bathroom attendant rushes you while you're trying to use the restroom which is so inappropriate, I was in the stall a good 45 seconds before she started banging on the door yelling for us to hurry up. Almost reminded me of being in the Air Force. And then she asked for a tip which was gauche and uncomfortable. We wanted to try out this bar with our PARENTS as 23 YEAR OLDS and the security denied us and took our IDs away without even bluelighting or scanning them. My girlfriend had a Peruvian ID and we told them they could just tell us they don't accept out-of-state IDs and give it back but they wouldn't. I told them they could test mine in any way but they refused to and would not give them back until I literally called the manager over. Our parents were literally there telling them we were of age and we would happily leave if they gave the IDs back. My girlfriend got her scar hit during the confrontation and it is now bleeding which is why I am writing this. The manager told the bouncers to give our IDs back so props to him. I will say the bouncers we're not physical but caused an extreme unnecessary commotion which left us all crying. Unfortunately, in 2022, this is a racist establishment. We went out with friends after a bus game and my husband was in gym shorts because it's Florida and 100° outside at 11 pm. Anyways the "bouncer" told my husband he couldn't come in due to a dress code policy, totally fine, everyone has their own rules. However, we then watched three men walk in behind him all in gym shorts. When my husband asked the "bouncer" what the deal was he said, and I quote, "it doesn't work like that- they're brothers". I got kicked out last night for absolutely no reason other than the color of my skin... and it was my birthday. They love kicking people out just for the fun of it. I was drunk like every other person in there but I wasn't falling over or throwing up or anything of the sort. They gave me no explanation for why I was being kicked out. This place was interesting. Very nice place to bar hop in SoHo that had reasonably priced drinks and good music. After 11pm there is a DJ and it continues to get busier with it being walk to wall by midnight. Don't leave after a certain time and try to come back. We did that and ended up being in line for 45 mins. It was understandable though as this place was hopping. Definitely a place to revisit and have a good time. read more

This sports bar was the perfect place for our group to hang out and enjoy the college football games and have some cold drinks and apps. They also have some fun games to play like basketball and darts, etc. Tatiana the bartender was very good, she checked in frequently with us and provided fast service. I visited your establishment around midnight on May 30th of 2021. While standing with my friends, a bouncer tried to herd us away from the exit. We attempted to move but the bar was crowded and there was nowhere to go, so I put my hands up as if to say "were trying" as the bouncer continued to yell in my ear. He then said "don't you throw your hands up at me. You're either in or your out". I said ok, I'm out. As I went to leave I had a soda in my hand. Rather than tell me I need to throw it out, he smacked it out of my hand and onto the ground, getting it all over me in the process. When I tried asking him what that was all about, the other bouncer physically touched me and moved me aside and refused to explain why his hot head behavior resulted in an assault. I did not have any alcohol to drink all night. I was the designated driver which is why I was only drinking soda. This means I was not drunk or belligerent. Just simply trying to enjoy some time with friends while also being responsible yet this power hungry individual still found a way to ruin my night. Your staff's lack of self control and short temper is unnecessary and will result in more individuals being violated and assaulted. This individual's behaviors need to be acknowledged and reprimanded. After reading other reviews I can see I am not the only one who has had issues with their security assaulting other customers and treating them poorly. I reached out to the bar via email and Facebook messenger and I am expecting a response. Absolutely horrible that an individual is allowed to act like this. read more

Here's my big complaint with Soho Saloon, we arrived when they first opened and my husband immediately played $5 worth of songs on the TouchTunes jukebox. He selected the "play it now" upgrade, so you would think our songs would play soon, right? Nope, not here. Right next to the machine they have posted on the wall a sign that says they have the right to skip any song. Or in our case, all of your songs. We complained after about an hour when our music still hadn't come on and the bartender kind of blew us off. Honestly, that just made us really annoyed. We stuck around in this bar way too long just waiting for our songs to play. The outside bartender was nice but they guys inside, not so much. We won't be back to this place. read more

This bar is a nice venue. Good place to hang out with friends. They have games and diverse music. We went on a Thursday night and the DJ plays good dance music but the place was kinda empty. The crowd that night was a spill over from McDittons across the street. With the right group of people it's a guaranteed good time. The bar food is surprisingly good (sober good lol). We got the BBQ boneless wings and mac and cheese bites yum! Curt the bartender is everything. I will not be retuning to this establishment. I was there for 2 hours, and the security personnel yelled at me when I got up from my chair to use the bathroom. (COVID rules are that everyone must remain seated, which is understandable....but liquids are being consumed and nature calls.) Also, many of the security guards were walking around without masks on, which I'm sure would be an issue that would result in a fine. Finally, they gave several patroons a difficult time while I was there. I saw them kick out a guy and his friends so they could sit their friends at the bar. Super rude security staff is a no-go in my book. I wish I would have read the other negative Yelp reviews before going to this establishment, I would have gone elsewhere. read more
