Interesting and delicious menu options. We had the Khao Soi and green curry noodle. Spice levels are a little uneven.

I really want to like this place. The first time I came here I got pad Thai, pad se ew and veggie rolls. Everything was super good. I've gone other times and gotten the pad ke mao (?) really good! Only thing I will say is that the women sometimes running the register come across really in a hurry like you're bothering them (when there's no one in there and they're slow) and can come across rude. read more

Having spent some months in Thailand and falling in love with the food, culture, and people I met during my travels, i was thrilled to see that my favorite spot in North Park, opened a new location in OB! I have been a regular since their grand opening and to this day, the dishes delight with distinct flavors that check off all the boxes of my favorite spots, thousands of miles from home. The Khao soi is Heaven, along with the Tom Yum and the Tom Kha. From pork chops, to chicken, to mock dock larb...every dish I've had has earned entry into my weekly rotation. The food is only bested by the warm smiles and service you are greeted with every time upon entry. Kusuman is a delight and she immediately took to my right hand pal Baxter the beagle, when we stopped by on one of our beach runs. She let him come in and use his hound nose for seal of approval . Turns out she has a beagle back home as well that she misses very much! I know the feeling and Baxter has taken it upon himself to help with the sadness from separation, by popping in from time to time and brightening her day with his beagle ways and all his tricks. He even lets me join him every now then if I ask nicely! what a dog! What great staff, and I can say with certainty that Soi has left an impression on me that will last a lifetime, and I look forward to hundreds of visits for years to come....If only they were open right now...I just made myself sooo hungry! ‍ See you soon for another meal that always cures my cravings read more

This is some great Thai food. I haven't found any Thai around here that even compares. The pork belly is pretty amazing - crunchy on the outside, and flavorful on the inside. We basically have that as our meet on everything. We love the Pad Thai, the Pumpkin Curry, and for desert we get the sticky rice and mango! Just a great meal. With a tip, I typically spend $25/person for meals from here. I've never eaten inside yet, cause they opened during covid. My only complaint, and this is pretty common at Thai places, is that sometimes things are pretty spicy even though we ask for no spice, or it doesn't indicate that it's got heat. But I understand that Thai food and spicy are synonymous, so I didn't ding them for that. read more

Bad night I guess. Chicken satay was overly burnt on one side, couldn't eat 1/2 of it, and smaller than usual amounts of the soup we ordered as well as with the curry (containers were ~75% full). Soup seemed to have more than usual amounts of tomato and not so much broth. The only thing that was good was the curry which I still think is awesome. If I lived closer I would've taken everything back, was just a crappy discovery to have getting home starving. read more

Walked in a few nights ago to order Thai food an hour before their closing times. Lady in front of us was standing at the register when we walked in, so we got in line behind her and waited. The cashier was busy preparing something. When the cashier finishes her task a few minutes later, she turns around and asks the lady how she can help her. The lady began ordering and the cashier said "oh, actually our machine isn't working so we're closed". The cashier should've said something earlier instead of wasting this lady's and our times. No sign on the door, the register - nothing. And why can't you just tell the kitchen and we'll pay cash? Doesn't anyone have a calculator in there? They shut down online ordering as well. I don't understand. Won't even bother giving this place another shot. read more

Really love this Thai spot and the vegan options they have. I've been here a handful of times now and it hasn't disappointed. Staff is friendly, food is flavorful, nice menu, dine-in is pleasant, portions are great. I'm not sure what more I could ask for. Vegan spring rolls, fresh rolls, spicy fried rice, and drunken noodle have stood out to me and have been better than average at the Thai places I've been to. read more

I got the crispy chicken wings, the green papaya salad which fresh shrimp, and the mango sticky rice dessert - it was all on point with all the flavor profiles you want in Thai food. I saw the good reviews and thought I would try a new Thai place. I walked in at 5:25. There were 3 people working there, 2 in the kitchen. One person was eating in so they weren't busy. Tried for 8 minutes to get waited on so I could make a to go order. I was the only person standing at the counter. Never could get waited on so I ultimately left. Tasty and Reasonably priced. On vacation at Ocean Beach for a few days, so looked for Thai food for lunch, and found this place on yelp. My wife and i enjoyed the Panang curry. My son thought the pad see ew was good and my daughter enjoyed the Tofu pad thai. The egg rolls were just ok. We all enjoyed the fried bananas with honey. Unfortunately they didn't have any more of the mango sticky rice. Would definitely come here again the next time we're in the area. read more

We ordered take out, staying at a local resort buy just needed some new food options. Pad Thai (hot) and Green Curry were on point!

All I want is their mango & sticky rice. Of course it's seasonal & they didn't have any. We always order crab fried rice. The papaya salad (somtum esan) medium was hot , next time I'll remember to order mild. The crispy pork was yummy if you like crispy fatty pork belly. The fried banana was crispy deliciousness. Service was great. Staff was very friendly. My partner got the shrimp pad see ew and we both agreed that it was way too salty. I got the garlic pepper chicken and it was also very salty. The staff was very nice and made us a new plate each. It had less sauce but still too salty for my liking. Overall, the food was not very flavorful, seemed like they just threw soy sauce in the noodles and chicken. read more

Very good, super casual (it's OB, duh) and reasonably-priced Thai street food. We had the Khao Koi, a noodle dish which seemed like "the thing you gotta get" and yep... it was excellent. Also had the Soi Curry Rice special (fried chicken drumsticks w/rice, served with a side of tofu/vegetable soup & house dipping sauce) which was fine but not as good as the Khao Koi. Food is great but service is horrible although we tipped the service 20%. The only thing she did was greet us and said to order upfront which was reasonable. After we sat down she gave us our salad that came with our lunch special. After that our meal came and we sat down to eat it but we had to get our own napkins and chopsticks that was needed for our meal. And also while we were sitting down, we saw her use her bare hands to separate the egg rolls paper. Disgusting! She was also doing many tasks and continued back to her do the eggs rolls without washing her hands. Never going back there again. Customer service is horrible! read more
