I was craving Korean army stew and then got the corn cheese to go with it. Hit the spot!

When I got out of the movies late, I was looking for late night Korean food and Soju bomb hit the spot. I just ordered to be delivered to my house but next time I will definitely go in to get the full experience. I was craving Budae jjigae (Korean army stew) because it just has a little bit of everything! I really enjoyed that this one came with a lot of meat and I love how they packaged the noodles separately so I could just drop them in to heat them up, but they would not be soggy by the time they were delivered to my house. I was trying to think what would go perfectly with it and I decided on corn cheese because it feels halfway healthy halfway indulgent. I really enjoyed the flavor. I don't know if it was garlic exactly but it was definitely creamy and savory and I would get it again. Actually, I will get it anytime I go! Next time, I will go see a movie and go stop in to visit this restaurant because I would love to check out the vibe and taste more things (with soju!)!

I visited this place based on the Yelp reviews, and I definitely wasn't disappointed! I ordered the Spicy Bean Noodles, Jjamppong Soup, and Soy Garlic Fried Chicken, and everything was so yummy. The service was very nice and friendly. The vibe is cozy and chill, and the food came out faster than I expected. Would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

I feel like this spot is relatively new and wanted to try it out. I went on a Monday for dinner so it was pretty quiet and we had the whole place to ourselves. The worker was very tentative and friendly. We weren't sure what to order but tried one of the recommended combos that came with Army Stew, Braised Pork, and a Soju bottle. I thought the portions were stellar for the price ! The army stew also had a variety of toppings and came in a sizzling bowl. I liked that the soup felt light and hearty and not too heavy. My favorite item I tried was probably the kimchi pancake. I liked that the kimchi flavor was very strong and that there were also generous amounts of onions and sausage in the pancake! The sausage was meaty and was a delightful savory contrast to the kimchi. Definitely looking forward to returning and trying more items on the menu!

This new spot popped up on Yelp, so we decided to stop by for dinner on a Wednesday. We ordered the army soup, soy garlic chicken, and ddukboki--everything was delicious. The portions felt fair for the price, and we left satisfied. It's great to have another solid Korean restaurant in Gardena that stays open late. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

couldn't take the picture of foods cuz they eat em too fast..

I was here yesterday for highschool friends gathering. Great place for hangout. Server is friendly and food is awesome. Best part was obviously the food! Their menu covers alot of Korean fushion style food that suits well with soju and beer. My favorite one was rose pasta and so-ttuk (sausage skewer with rice cake) If you are fan of K foods and their drinks, I definitely recommend this place.

Very nice vibe and the customer service is very friendly. Pricing is also pretty fair for a pocha!

Found my new go-to spot for soju and Korean tapas. They just opened, so everything is super clean and well organized. The interior and ambiance is great, the food is delicious, and their service is on point. My friends and I ended up ordering way more food and drinks than planned because their menu was too tempting. Highly recommend the rice cake & sausage skewers, Korean fried chicken, and their mojito. Will definitely be back 100%!!

The inside is nice and spacious, a little dimly lit and clean. The worker was very friendly and service was quick. We asked for his recommendation and he suggested we try any of the yukgaejang. He brought out two sets of banchan - fish cakes which were firmer and more seasoned with sesame oil than some other place which was pleasant, a nice sweet fresh kimchi, and some chive kimchi, as well as the condiments for our dishes. To split, we got the small bossam, the rice cake and dumpling soup, the mul naengmyeon, and the yukgaejang with fresh pasta. Everything was super flavorful, large enough to split between the 5 of us, and delicious. The standouts are definitely the yukgaejang - the fresh pasta may sound weird but is a nice chewy thick noodle and the broth is rich and flavorful with just a bit of spice - and the bossam - at a lot of places the small bossam is still huge, and this was a good size so that we still had room for other dishes, and the meat itself was more flavorful, tender and nice and warm on the steamer that it came out on! The rice cake and dumpling soup and the mul naengmyeon were also solid. I'll definitely be back at Yuk Dae Jang for a warm comforting bowl of yukgaejang and bossam with friends :) Bonus, you don't have to go to ktown!

Instead of showing any understanding or hospitality, the owner told me to leave the restaurant and wait in the coffee shop next door. I was shocked because I had every intention of purchasing food. I wasn't causing a disturbance or asking for anything unreasonable. The way I was spoken to and treated made me feel embarrassed, unwelcome, and honestly as though I was being judged before I was even given a chance to order. I left feeling humiliated. Customer service is about treating people with basic kindness and respect, and unfortunately, that was completely missing during my visit. I won't be returning, and I hope the owner learns that a little compassion can make a huge difference in how customers are treated.

I ordered the soon dubu soup and Galbi combo. The Galbi was 2 strips of LA cut shortibs. The meat was very fatty, chewy, and it tasted like it was bottled marinade. The dubu soup was nicely prepared. It also seemed to include some new items, or at least ones that weren't printed out on the placemats. We've previously tried their cold noodles, galbi, hot stone bimbimbap, tofu soup and seafood pancake. All are pretty good but the cold noodle is our favorite. This time we ordered their fishcake kimbap and the cold noodle and galbi combo. I previously saw photos of their kimbap but didn't see it on their menu until now so I was excited to try it. It comes with 20-24 pieces and a side of soup, quite a lot actually for one person. The kimbap was as expected, it was flavorful, had a slight crunch (from the pickled radish) and didn't fall apart easily while eating. It comes with a dipping sauce but it wasn't particularly noteworthy and I didn't feel it is required to use. The cold noodles were a bit different this time but overall had the same flavor. It comes with half an egg, pickled vegetables, slices of cucumber, and slices of meat in an icy broth with buckwheat noodles. Be sure to add the mustard and vinegar for added flavor. The side of galbi was as expected, but doesn't arrive sizzling like at many other Korean restaurants. The flavor can vary, sometimes more flavorful than other times but overall it still pairs well with the cold noodle. Service can be a bit spotty, especially when they only have one server doing everything. It can be hard to flag someone down so be prepared to sit around for a while if they have less staff and many customers. Overall not a dealbreaker but just something to be aware of.

I recommend ordering the whole or half chickens so you get different cuts of meat. Personally, I enjoy thigh meat while my husband prefers breast or wings so it was easy for us to split the different cuts. We ordered two different halves one soy garlic and the other was red hot pepper. We both have pretty good spice tolerances and the spiciness of the red hot pepper was just on point. The chicken comes out freshly prepared so it's hot and crunchy. We ordered a side of the corn cheese which is a must for me anytime I get Korean fried chicken. They also give you sides of cabbage and pickled radish which I find provides a good palette cleanser through the meal. The meal was a bit pricy coming out to ~$60 for two people, but I also brought home 4 pieces for leftovers. This place would probably be considered more affordable if you came with a bigger group to you can split multiple orders.
