PSF was the third company I met with, and after my initial visit with Sam, I knew I had found the right one. Sam took the time to listen to what I wanted, patiently answered every question, and never made me feel rushed. We discussed my vision for transitioning from tile to wood flooring, and he immediately put me at ease by explaining it wouldn't be a problem. Even after the visit, I had more questions, especially about floor preparation and the contract language. Having a construction attorney in the family tends to make you read every word! Sam continued to answer my questions and worked with me on the contract until I was completely comfortable moving forward. Even though paying 50% upfront was difficult, I felt confident I had chosen the right company. That confidence was rewarded on installation day. Tony and his crew were outstanding. I want to give a special shoutout to Tony and Johnny whose attention to detail was exceptional. It was obvious they take tremendous pride in their work, and it shows in every room. The staircase, in particular, is a work of art. Tony also noticed the original stair trim wouldn't match the new baseboards and suggested replacing it. That extra attention to detail made all the difference. The new trim, along with the beautifully caulked and painted baseboards, gave the entire project a truly finished look. Everyone who visits comments on how beautiful the floors are, but they also notice the quality of the workmanship. That's the highest compliment I can give. CARPET BUYERS BEWARE! Floor Coverings International Austin will sell and install "new" carpet with…read morestains on it, but refuse to take any responsibility, do what's right, and replace it. Instead, they force you to wait through some sketchy warranty claim route via the carpet's manufacturer to resolve the issue, to be taken care of who-knows-when and possibly never. As such, I highly recommend you look anywhere else for your carpeting needs. In fact, you would be much better off if you just buy your flooring from Lowe's or Home Depot as I seriously doubt either of those chains would ever wring you over as FCI continues to do me. This past spring I purchased new carpet from FCI to be installed in my living room. After Anthony (the installation tech) informed me he was finished, the first thing I noticed were the two large and prominently visible stains in the center of the room. When I pointed them out, Anthony stated that he noticed those stains BEFORE HE INSTALLED THE CARPET but he "took care of it" by using some of his special cleaning solvent on them. He went on to say that once this fluid he sprayed on the carpet fully dries, the stains would vanish. I knew this was a total fabrication, and I let Anthony know that all of this was unacceptable, that I should have been made aware of the existence of these stains before he mounted the carpet, for I would have never allowed him to install it had I known. After all, new carpet is supposed to come stainless! I let Angela know that FCI should replace the carpet. Alternatively, Leroy arrived at my home a couple of days later and made another attempt to clean the spots off the carpet with his spray and rags, but then after he was unable to remove them he insists I PAY the remaining balance! I immediately protested Leroy's request for payment, but he went on to tell me that once FCI was paid in full, they would be able to file a warranty claim with the carpet manufacturer (Dixie) and he stated that all of this mess would be 100% covered under warranty and that FCI would see to it that the carpet is replaced. I told him that attempting to claim this through warranty seemed particularly unethical to me, as the installation guy admitted that he was fully aware of the stains BEFORE he installed the carpet, believing that the blotches would be removed via his mysterious spot vanishing agent. Leroy retorted by saying that this was the only way to get the stained carpet replaced at no expense; otherwise, I would have to pay FCI outright to replace the stained carpet they sold me. Leroy continued to assure me that it was the best way to get the carpet replaced so that neither of us would be out any additional money, and so in the end I reluctantly paid Leroy the remaining balance. I so regret that mistake now. Instead of ever having the carpet replaced what has followed over the course of the past several months were additional attempts by FCI/Dixie to clean the stains away. Instead of erasing the stains, each of their failed efforts only enlarged them and has caused that entire area to look quite nasty. At this point, it literally appears as if someone took a runny shit in the middle of my new carpet! I have sent numerous texts to Angela throughout all of this, requesting repeatedly that FCI replace the carpet at its own expense if necessary. However, they insist that it be handled through Dixie's cryptic warranty procedure, which I have been informed multiple times is a notoriously frustrating progression where no definitive timeframe can be provided as to when or if the carpet would ultimately be replaced by FCI or Dixie. Welcome to my HELL, folks!

The sales reps are very agreeable and are good salesmen...confident in their products/service and make lots of promises. Have a pretty quick turnaround with ordering and install. Depending on the scope of project, they send in a large crew to get in and get the job done. Cons: The quality of the job lies in whatever crew and Project Manager gets assigned to your project. The sales rep becomes a middle man of trying to give "the customer is always right" vibe (or "let's keep the customer happy") AND "got to keep the PM happy or he'll probably leave the job with his crew". Sales rep will say, "yes, we can do that, let's make it right." Then the PM comes in and says, "the slab was uneven, that's normal, nothing we can do about it." The "we can fix this portion of the job, it's easy, just need to do this..." then becomes "choose the worst couple of spots and we'll fix those" because of pushback and excuses from the crew. No quality control. I'm giving two stars because they did a good job with our carpet installs, and our Sales Reps were nice guys. Just wish our "nice guys" could have had a crew that knew what they were doing and took more pride in their work. I've talked to other customers that had other crews work on their projects, and they did not have any of the same issues as we did. And they were surprised when they saw the pictures I'm posting.

All emotions aside, here are the facts. Covid Move- My…read morefamily and I moved across the country in 2020. It was a difficult time to find services for our new home and we settled on Lonestar Carpet for all of our carpet and laminate flooring based on a handful of online reviews that looked promising. The sales rep we had told us we were getting the best of the best (price was not our biggest concern as we wanted good value and longevity) and that we would get years of good use and value from our $8k + purchase with his company. Red flags- Right away there were problems. The pad we ordered was not the pad that showed up on installation day and one of the installers told my husband that he had never installed flooring before that day. When we called, the rep told us that he had misquoted us for the wrong pad and getting the correct pad would add thousands of dollars and weeks of time to our install. We were frustrated but we made the call, we didn't have weeks to wait. We had already put off moving in to get this job scheduled After installation- The installation of the laminate flooring was shoddy and the transitions started popping up right away. We also noticed seams in our carpets within a few months. We tried to call several times and got no answer. The companies who provided the materials refused to talk to us, sending us back to our rep. We ran in circles. It is what it is- The time in our life was incredibly chaotic and we made the decision to do what we could to mitigate the issues and moved on with life. Looking back, I wish I would have had the bandwidth to push harder or drive to their corporate office to talk face to face, but things in 2020 were difficult and we let it go. 2023- time for new laminate- The problems with the laminate had gotten so bad we decided to replace it once and for all. We found another company with lifetime product and installation warranties and set the date. My husband pulled up the old flooring and the reason for all of the lifting and cupping became very obvious. There was no moisture barrier installed on the concrete sun floor, no preparation of any kind, nothing. We looked up the installation manual for the flooring (we still had a box in the garage) and found a guide from 2017 stating that a moisture barrier of at least 6mm must be installed on concrete sub floors. "We could just walk away" - We called the rep, he and his boss took two days to get back to us. When he called us with his answer it was that "the company changed its policy on moisture barriers in DEC of 2020 and since our floors were installed in August of 2020 "we could just walk away from you." He went on to say "the floors have no warranty, zip" and "we don't have to do anything to help you." When I tried to tell him I had found something from 2017 indicating that was not correct he talked over me, became agitated, and told me that his company would "go above and beyond" by filling out a claim form against the flooring manufacturer. In short, Lonestar Carpet was not going to do anything to stand behind its work or its customer. Their "above and beyond" was to fill out a claim form, which the sales rep told me repeatedly he "didn't have to do." Take aways- There are a lot of flooring companies with excellent reputations. Many of them stand behind their products and services with lifetime installation warranties representing companies who offer the same on their products. Why would you choose a company that considers it "above and beyond" to fill out a form and pass the buck to the manufacturer? Why would you choose a company who employs sales representatives who yell at and blame their customers? I feel that my family and I were taken advantage of in many ways by this company. I will not be having them fill out a claim form, or provide any other services for me and I am warning as many people who will listen to shop around. Flooring is a huge investment, it is supposed to last a long time, the company you choose will be represented in your home for years. We learned the hard way so you don't have to.

During the work, the filter on the vacuum clogged and a good amount of dust escaped the containment seal. It was a stressful moment because we have a couple kids, but Atila worked with us, and covered our ENTIRE post-construction clean up fee using a highly professional team. Our house was restored to better than before, and the sink was installed flawlessly. Very few businesses uphold this level of excellence, honesty, and putting the customer first. I've seen huge companies screw us over. Atila is the opposite of this. I award Atila infinite stars because he is a great man and runs a great business. I highly recommend this company because it is built on love and honesty, and he truly ensures his customers leave happy, no matter the cost. Thank you so much Atila for our new and beautiful sink. Additionally, I delivered to her a round wooden breakfast table that needed to be stripped and restained and an old bed frame that had a broken spindle between the posts. She completed the work according to the estimated schedule and the quality was excellent. I was very pleased with the work she did for us and will contact her again when other projects come up. She was very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend her for anyone needing furniture refinishing work or furniture repairs.

With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I did a lot of research on artificial turf companies servicing the Brushy Creek area and after some shopping around, came across Umesh and KG Lawn Care. After receiving some ridiculous quotes from some of the "bigger" artificial turf companies, offering a lower grade of turf for a substantially higher price, I went forward with the project with Umesh and KG Lawn Care. Umesh took on my project of installing approximately 1000 sqft of artificial turf, metal edging, and black star gravel around some cypress trees. Roughly a month before starting, I expressed to Umesh my desire to have the project completed in time for our family's annual crawfish boil, which he assured me he would fulfill. I can't say enough positive things about Umesh, Lucas, and their crew. As we neared the date of my family's party, Umesh assured me that he would push to make the deadline, even with unpredictable central Texas weather. Umesh not only kept to his promise in finishing the project in time for our party, but also knocked it out of the park! The artificial turf looks incredible and instantly became my daughter's favorite place to play. Umesh and his crew put a level of detail into the project in ensuring every aspect was perfect for my family. As pleased as I am with the project itself, the most noteworthy aspect I want to highlight in this review is how Umesh does business. In a world where so many are looking to cut corners, charge more, and provide less, I found that Umesh is a man of immense integrity who keeps to his word. Umesh delivered on his promise to ensure my yard was immaculate for my family's party, but most notably, his promise on pricing. A day before our turf was set to be installed, Umesh was notified by the turf company that the turf we picked out was no longer available (with zero warning). Umesh was forced to upgrade the turf at a difference of nearly $800. I offered to split the difference with Umesh but was told: "Nah man, it's all good. I like to keep my word and pricing. It's not your fault." This really struck me that Umesh was willing to eat $800 in order to keep his word with me on pricing. We purchased our home in 2012, and the carpet / tile / linoleum floors in the downstairs areas definitely needed to be replaced. But we wanted to eventually put in wood, so we waited until we had researched floors and installers (and had the money) to make the change. Fast forward (?) to 2018, we finally decided on an engineered wood floor (we were told you cannot install solid wood directly on concrete) and had the funds . (even engineered wood is expensive), After researching flooring companies from Round Rock to Cedar Park, we decided that Soleil Floors best fit our requirements. We were able to negotiate the price a bit by removing / re-installing the downstairs toilet ourselves and purchasing / painting the baseboards (one thing we liked about Soleil's estimate was that they replaced all the baseboards, they didn't just reuse the old, beat-up ones). Day of the installation, all the furniture was moved into the garage, including the range and refrigerator (new floor was also installed under them), done by the installers with a charge. The old flooring was removed and new flooring installed, this took two days -very reasonable for the size of the job. The new floor looked fantastic! Furniture and appliances were move back in (coasters were placed beneath the furniture to prevent scratches, but these were small and didn't fit requirements. We ended up replacing them with larger ones). At this point we rated the job at 4 1/2 - 5 stars (minor problems with hearing bubbles pop when walking on the floor in one area, but no apparent problem with the floor). The problem turned out to be water leakage under our back door. NOT Soleil's problem, the door had not been sealed correctly. The problem is customer service is very difficult (if not impossible) to come by AFTER you spend $10K+ for new flooring. We had a problem and called the company a few times, a year or so after installation, without a response, and I finally ended up going back to the store where I had a (slightly) heated discussion with Stephanie about trying to schedule a repair. Victor, their installation supervisor, finally showed up and after looking at the problem told me the door was leaking water under the sill when it rained, and if the floor was repaired WITHOUT correcting the door problem it would all just reoccur. Great! At least we knew the root of the problem. We had the door removed, the frame replaced, and the sill double sealed. That problem taken care of, the pandemic hit. And for a while nothing was being done. Now it's 2022, and the pandemic (for the most part) appears to be over, as far as having work done. Once again I have tried to schedule an estimate for repairs (which have gotten bigger). Once again NO response from Stephanie after three calls; it seems that she is the only one who can schedule anything but she is always unavailable. The receptionist claims she is giving her the messages, all I know is I am getting NO response. Knowing all this, I would have to review our rating downward from a 4 1/2 - 5 to a 1 1/2 - 2. The floor (4 1/2 - 5) for the most part still looks great, but unless you are spending big bucks the customer service is 0 - 1. I WOULD NOT recommend this company. read more

We found Soleil's prices competitive, terms of payment better, and service exceptional compared to the competition we considered. Cristen was incredible as design consultant and project manager as she guided us through the steps needed to upgrade our kitchen and replace flooring throughout a large portion of our home with wood-grain tile. Her expertise, patience, and responsiveness made the entire process easy. Cristen responded quickly to our questions, even those we would text or email in the evenings or on weekends. When we discovered water damage under our old sink, she quickly arranged to have the cabinet floor replaced before the new sink and countertop were installed. When we discovered the builder had covered over irregularities in our concrete subfloor with carpet, she had a man available with the equipment necessary to grind away the high spots so our new tile would go down perfectly level. Soleil Floors recently transformed our lower level from tile and carpet to beautiful Hardwood floors. The entire Soleil team was professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Courtney was fantastic throughout the entire process. She guided us through the selection process and stayed involved throughout the installation phase as well. The installation team also exceeded our expectations. Daniel kept us informed throughout the job and his attention to detail and pride in his work is something you don't see every day. Initially we incurred an unexpected issue with the variation in the wood. Courtney and the owner, Stephanie , were quick to respond. A few years back I hired Soleil Floors to put down wood floors in one of my rooms. When I decided to redo the remaining floors in my home it never entered my head to go with anyone other than Soleil. I don't know if I would have received a better price someplace else. What I do know is that I received the best customer service that I have had from any business in a while. Professional and friendly, from Ben who came out to measure for my quote, to Stephanie and everyone at the store who helped me with making my flooring choices to the punctual installation crew who also completed the job early. Every suggestion and recommendation was spot on. I believe the job done by the Soleil team means I will not be needing new floors anytime soon, but you can bet when and if I do I will head straight to their store. read more

I worked with Willie regarding the replacement of a very specialized and expensive wood floor in our family room after a huge water damage claim. From the beginning, Willie was fantastic. He showed up for our appointment on time, prepared and brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Soleil Floors are best in my book! I bought a large home north of Hutto and did a remodel. I chose Soleil Floors because my realtor recommended them and also because they had the hardwood product that we settled on. They also had excellent reviews. The majority of the job was excellent, but at the end there were a few items that my very picky eye identified and i wanted them fixed. Ben was in agreement and the items were fixed above and beyond my expectations. The true character of this organization was shown, and they do provide top level quality and service. Loved everything about this experience. Ben knows everything there is to know about floors. Seriously. This guy knows everything about every kind of floor. What's awesome is that they actually take the time to get to know you and what these floors are going to exposed to every day. They didn't push me to the most expensive options (although we looked at those too) but the best products for what we were trying to do. We hired Soleil Floors to tear out our Carpet and Tile and replace it with Wood Floors. We hired separate contractors to paint the Ceiling and Walls. The other contractors were delayed and Soleil Floors not only worked around the delay but kept us on schedule. They would show up exactly when they said and work 10 to 11 hour days. I received an immediate reply to my messages which is nice but like I said, I'd have preferred more proactive communication. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. Our two dogs had absolutely destroyed our ten year old carpet, and we were long overdue for a replacement. More carpet, for maximum dog wallowing/belly rubs? Or deny them these simple pleasures and go for hardwood? As our budget would have it, neither; we ended up opting for vinyl plank. Andrea was very helpful during the selection process, sent us home with a few samples and within 20 minutes we had a winner. A few days later she came by to take measurements, collect our deposit and give us an arrival date. The date came and went. "Well, no worries" I thought, Fashion Floors was in the midst of moving their showroom, this was far from a carpet emergency (is there such a thing?) and they hadn't cashed our deposit check anyway. After a few rounds of phone tag, we settled on an install date! Typically this would be the type of project I would tackle myself (and take months to actually complete), but in this case the install included hauling off the old carpet, leveling the subfloor, as well as removal/re installation of the furniture. I figured it was money well spent. We were told our installers would be here between 9-10am. You already know where this is going. They showed up a little after noon, but to their credit, they started busting ass and had the job nearly complete in five hours. Now, it's the "nearly" part that's key here. Apparently they had either forgotten or not been given all of their supplies, so they left for an hour, came back and worked until nearly 8pm. Kudos for the tenacity and the fact that they completed it in one day, but it would've been nicer not to have to rearrange the entire day. We finally made it to their new showroom to go drop off our final payment, only to find the place dark, doors locked at 10am on a Friday. We hopped next door to TacoDeli for a leisurely brunch, came back at 11 to find the place still closed. Bizarre. This necessitated another trip the next week to get these folks paid. Pretending to be outraged on the internet seems to be the newest fad, but you'll get none of that from me. There were some minor inconveniences here and there, but at the end of the day we are very happy with the material and installation, and the new flooring really did transform our bedroom. Give Fashion Floors a holler.

They had to remove the tiles/carpet and then had to install the LVP in my brand new home. The guy who turned up to get this job done did not even have minimum sense to seal down the areas to avoid the dust from tiles to spread. Also, owner had told me he would send shoe moulds but then did not. I had to follow up on that and get it on time. After the LVP installation , I was so disappointed to see a lot of dents/paint peels off the walls everywhere he took off the tiles. The shoe moulds was in a different color and did not go well with the baseboard. Owner promised me to correct with paint touch ups but never showed up after collecting the check. I realised only at the end how the owner could offer me better pricing. He balanced the good quality product with cheap labor. Owner does not respond to any future queries. I had to hire painters at my expense to fix the damages. I would not recommend this business to my friends.
