I recently visited this Somi Somi in Fullerton, and unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. While the taiyaki treats are delicious, the customer service left much to be desired. My husband was trying to figure out which taiyaki was Nutella and which one was Mint Oreo, as they look nearly identical. He politely asked one of the workers for clarification, but before he could even finish his question, she rudely snapped, "It's on the box." While we understand that the names are on the box, that wasn't the point. My husband was simply asking for clarification because it's hard to differentiate between the two options. The worker's response felt dismissive and unhelpful, and honestly, it seemed like she was more bothered by our question than interested in providing good service. It honestly felt like we were an inconvenience to her, which completely soured the entire experience. A little patience and friendliness goes a long way. Do better. read more

This place is a really great ice cream place newly opened here in fullerton. Their softserve is delicious and the fish shaped icecream cone adds a unique and cute design. The foods - My girl friend loved this oreo flavored one with nutella filling. She liked that it's not too sweet and has a clean flavor for oreo. I had the matcha flavor with no filling and I am gonna get the same one next time. Personally, my favorite was red bean taiyaki. Reminds me of my childhood snack from korea. Covid 19 - Workers are nice and friendly, well followed covid 19 protocol, wearing masks and gloves. Also when we went it was busy and they were controlling customer capacity so there arent too many people inside at once. The menu looked pretty interesting, and immediately sampled 3 of the flavors that intrigued me the most: mango sticky rice, banana cream pie, and matcha strawberry. I asked him what the difference was between the small and the large, I thought it was just size of the scoop or bowl, but he said that small comes with 2 scoops, large is 3 scoops, and you can get a combination of flavors. That was perfect because all 3 flavors were some of my favorites I've ever had. I'm not usually one to hype up a food spot without good cause, but the price point for each size was really good compared to other ice cream spots that charge $1-2 more for the same thing. Not only that, these flavors were some of the best I've had. I'm excited to come back and try more flavors. Highly recommend this spot for any ice cream lovers, and I think I'm probably going to come back every weekend as part of my weekly routine haha.

The drink was good, and obviously on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend it if you have a serious sweet tooth. The boba itself was one of the better ones I've had. it was fresh, chewy, and had a good texture. Unfortunately, they were out of taro when my friend tried to order it, which was a little disappointing, but they were able to sub it with one of the Sago options. Overall, it's a cute boba shop with a fun atmosphere, good-quality boba, and a menu worth exploring. I'll come back to try some of the teas earlier in the day.

The ube latte is also a regular favorite of mines! It's just so flavorful with coconut milk. I need to try their other sweet treats, but I'm worried I won't like it. I wish I could sample some of them. Wi-Fi kind of sucks, and it's very laggy even though it's not busy on a Friday morning. I switched to my own data, and it finally loaded.

Finally made it over to Qamaria Coffee in Fullerton and really enjoyed this place!…read more First off, the cafe itself is beautiful. Really cool decor, plenty to look at, and the pastry case immediately had me wanting to order way more than I needed. I tried Turkish coffee for the first time and that stuff is STRONG. If you need a serious caffeine boost, this is definitely the move. I also tried the iced Qamaria Latte and iced Pistachio Latte. Both were good, but the pistachio was easily my favorite. Creamy, slightly sweeter, and just more my style. The surprise of the visit was the strawberry dragon fruit refresher. I almost didn't order it because I was there for coffee, but I'm glad I did. Super refreshing and I'd absolutely get it again. For food, DO NOT skip the honeycomb. They warm it up and drizzle it with honey, and each little section has cheese inside. Easily one of my favorite things I tried. The chicken pastry was another surprise and ended up being incredible. Finished with the mango cheesecake because I pretty much can't say no to anything mango. Really fun cafe experience and I'm glad I stopped in. Definitely coming back!
