PISTACHIO & MILK W/OREO AND MACAROON + UBE & MATCHA W/ BISCOFF AND STRAWBERRY. BOTH FILLED WITH BLACK SESAME.

Somi Somi has always been a decent treat. I tried the ube & matcha swirl, and I couldn't really distinguish the flavors but that was my fault because I didn't start eating it until I got home ~ the flavors had already melted together by then. Anyway, it was a standard level of sweetness & very creamy. My favorite part of the dessert was the black sesame filling, which balanced out the soft serve flavors and added a nice grainy texture to the dessert. The boong uh bbang was warm and had a nice lil chew to it ~I LUV cute little details and I noticed our fish had different eyes, something I never noticed back in the day at Somi Somi Ktown. The shop itself is schmedium in size and has a small round bench type seating area where everyone can sit together. The service was fine, pretty straightforward - you order and they call you by name, so just stick around so you can hear. Overall, I enjoyed Somi Somi. It's a cute dessert to have once in a while.

The food is consistently delicious but that line tho.... I know it can't be helped, but the hard working kids do try to get the line moving. But if you want it done right.... You wait. The place is clean, well it's new; I hope it stays clean... but there's no plane to hang out... So to go it is.

This is a new spot here in Granada hills. Soft serve ice cream. There is always a line so plan on a wait. They do move fairly quickly. The store is clean and staff is friendly. I got an ube soft serve. my son tried the horchata soft serve. It was good and will be coming back soon.

After our July 4th lunch, my son and I were craving something sweet but they didn't have any dessert where we ate. He quickly searched for a nearby ice cream shop and found this place. What a treat! Walked in at 5:37pm into this spotless clean Japanese soft serve shop that constantly had people coming in. Now I know why. Their soft serve is absolutely DELICIOUS in every way! The temperature, taste, and texture were all perfection. Guillermo took our order and answered our questions, while Alanna prepared our order. Both of them were kind and helpful with a nice smile. I got the Ube/Cookies and Cream Swirl in a cup with a strawberry on top ($4.50) and my son opted for the Upside Down Ahboong (filled with Black Sesame) and the same Ube/Cookies and Cream Swirl ($6.95) . He got his with a macaron cookie instead of the strawberry. We both kept looking at each other and saying "mmm" over and over again. Absolutely FANTASTIC!! So yummy and refreshing on a HOT day. You can select some toppings before your order is handed to you, but I don't like to add any toppings. It kills the taste for me. The prices are also pretty reasonable. It's a very cool, unique and trendy place. There isn't an outdoor patio or anything, and the only seating area inside is like one giant shared wide bench. It's definitely a quick-service spot. They have 2 unisex bathrooms, which were also spotless clean. The hype is definitely worth it and I highly suggest coming here for some delicious soft serve! The only thing I didn't like was the music. They also have some other locations like Santa Monica, DTLA, and Glendale Galleria, which is the closest one to me. Large parking lot is shared with many other businesses. 10/10!!!

"Like a virgin, trying Somisomi for the very first time." Yes, that was me today! Finally, one opened up in the valley...still not close to me but that didn't stop me from driving here on a Sunday afternoon. It was very busy but the line moved quickly and the wait time for my order was also quick. I ordered the Ahbong with an Ube/Horchata swirl, nutella filling & biscoff crumbs. OMG!!! This girl was in heaven!!!! Smooth, creamy soft serve with the crunchy taiyaki was a fabulous combo. I liked dipping it into the soft serve. Next time I will try the pistachio! Plenty of parking in the lot. You can sit inside or head outside where there are a few stone walls you can sit on. ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

When I first arrived and saw the line.... I was like do I want to wait or forget about it. We decided to wait. The line was out the door. I hate lines!! But it ended up going quicker than I thought. I had never been so I like to order a bunch of things and taste test to find my favorite menu items. My niece and I ordered the upside down ahboong. We picked our soft serve flavors and then filling. We also ordered a bunch of teyaki flavors to find our favorites. I ordered the cheese, the Nutella, the matcha custard, the Oreo, and the regular custard. I wasn't sure about the cheese since I have only ever tried sweet vs savory. The cheese ended up being one of my favorites along with the custard. I'm not a matcha fan but that one was ok. The Oreo was pretty good. I wasn't a big fan of the Nutella. When I go back, it will definitely be cheese and custard for me! Ordering was pretty quick. The only bad thing was it's so hard to hear the employees because of the acoustics with how many people were in the shop. It was so loud inside we had to have him repeat things multiple times and then I wasn't even sure what I ordered part of the time. But it ended up working out. I ordered 10 teyakis. My first box of 5 came out pretty quickly. Then my soft serve cups came out after. They asked us if we wanted to add any of the fun toppings, which we did. But after they came out they sat there for a while why we waited for our other box of teyakis. Something happened with them so while we were waiting for them to remake them my soft serve cups were melting and melting. By the time I drove home to eat them it was like soup unfortunately. The soft serve ice cream was just average to me. I ordered the cookies and cream. I would never crave the ice cream from here. My niece also felt the same. And the fish they put on top of the ice cream, I thought would be completely filled with the flavor of your choosing. But it's only lightly lining the inside of the fish. I love custard so I would rather have it completely filled with custard oozing onto the ice cream. The employees were all so sweet and super hard working. That place was packed!!! So I know things happen. They tried to fix it as quickly as they could. I will definitely go back. I just might not order the soft serve and the teriyaki's at the same time if there's a big wait time since I prefer to take it home and eat.

We stopped by on a weekday around 12:30pm and it was pretty empty. Hubby got an upside down ah-boong with red bean filling and cookies n cream. I got an upside down ah-boong with custard filling and matcha. I was disappointed the store attendant who was prepping my soft serve didn't seem to know how to read the order. She didn't give me the strawberry topping and she didn't give me any filling. We didn't enjoy the soft serve as much, but we did like our ah-boong. Glad we tried it and not having to wait in a long queue. It's not worth the wait!!

This is a new location as of (June 2026) and there was a line around the building. Somisomi is a specialty soft serve ice cream spot that serve taiyaki. Taiyaki is a Japanese fish shaped pancake type treat filled with with various fillings. Although it is shaped like a fish, it does not contain any fish of course, just a cute desert. They have various flavors, Milk, Chocolate, Ube, Matcha, Oreo, Milk Tea, and Swirl combinations-- you can have it topped with a taiyaki or without. You can also choose various toppings for free and a strawberry or a mini Madeline on top. You can also just buy various taiyakis alone as well. The line was pretty long, but the employees got us through as quick as possible and the wait was not bad. They will help you decide if you are not sure, but how can you go wrong with ice cream of any flavor, yum. Inside is brand new and clean, no tables, just some standing benches and a large wooden block to sit on in the middle. Sit or stand and enjoy or take it to go. I got the ube and milk swirl without a taiyaki on top, we also got an Oreo one and a matcha and peach swirl, both with taiyaki on top. They look cute with the fish biting the top of your ice cream. Everything was really good and I think next time I will add the taiyaki. They also have a little free photo box that you can take a pic of yourself or friend while waiting, fun little touch. Enjoy!

After waiting months for this place to open, finally got to check it out today a bit past 1pm. Waited a couple weekends after opening for the hype (aka lines) to die down: Pros: The product itself is good and you get good bang for the buck ($4.50 option in a cup was def plenty), even though only a few flavors can't go wrong with matcha/ube, the fresh taiyaki made the store smell delicious, service was friendly, store was nice and clean and appreciate having water accessible. I also got my order real quick after ordering. Cons: The line moved painfully slow. Painfully. Combination of only having one register open and people just taking WAY too long at the register to make a decision, which I find inexplicable given you were in line for a while, how did you not know what you wanted by the time it was your turn? The pair in front of me was at the register for 6 minutes. Yes I counted because the group in front of them took so long also that I wanted to measure it. Sometimes employees just stood around doing nothing because of the lag in ordering. My recommendations would be: - Use a 2nd register - politely recommending that people know what they want by the time they get to the register to improve efficiency. - hand out laminated menus to people in line where they can cross off what they want and they just can hand it to the register so there is no lag time or employees can even collect them in line so they can get orders started ahead of time, if it involves taiyaki. - kiosks to do self orders Also there really isn't much place to sit, just one big bench everyone crammed on. I get it's a limited space but could use maybe some outside seating. The parking lot can be pretty bad given it shares the space with a lot of shops - including tj maxx. All in all, I recommend the place because it's hot in the valley and a place that offers delicious cold Asian-inspired desserts is always welcome but they really need to iron out the kinks in speed. The line just got worse and worse as I sat there and it shouldn't be that way for a place with such a limited menu.

I first discovered this place when I was living in OC and it quickly became one of my favorite dessert spots. Whenever I am near a location, I have to stop by. What keeps me coming back is how many options there are. You can get your soft serve in an Ah-Boong (their signature fish-shaped waffle cone), a regular cup, or the Upside Down, which comes with a filled fish-shaped waffle cone sitting on top of the soft serve. There are also so many fillings to choose from, including Nutella, custard, red bean, matcha custard, and black sesame, plus toppings like Biscoff crumbs, Oreo crumbs, macarons, cereal, sprinkles, and fruit. I also love that the soft serve flavors change regularly, so there is usually something new to try. My go-to flavors are Cookies & Cream, Matcha, or whatever fun swirl they have available that day. On this visit, I got the Pistachio/Cookies & Cream swirl and a variety of filled Taiyaki. Everything was fresh and delicious. The swirl was creamy and flavorful and the taiyaki were just as good as I remembered. The taiyaki are honestly a must-order for me. They are crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and pair perfectly with fillings like Nutella, Matcha, or Oreo. Another plus is that parking is super easy since this location is in a larger shopping center. If you are a fan of soft serve, taiyaki, or just fun desserts in general, this place is definitely worth checking out!

oh we've ALL been waiting for this one. Somi Somi's GH location is open and by god if it isn't everything we've DREAMED OF and more. Not only do they have the staple ice cream ahbong and taiyaki (which are delicious. my favorite taiyakis are the cheese and oreo one, which is crazy because i don't even like oreo), but their special peach flavor is TO DIE FOR!! Yum yum yum. perfect in this heat. Other than the food, the store is immaculately decorated and has so many cute aspects. I'm loving the pins, stickers, and merch that they sell. saur cute!!!! I am purchasing hella merch. And finally, the staff and ownership are the cream of the crop. the belle of the ball. the ahbong of the ice cream cup. So quick, respectful, and amicable to speak to. It was a pleasure to be around them the whole time. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THIS PLACE! What are you waiting for?? GO GO GO GO!!!

The line was short when we got in. Waited about 10min for our order to be up, which I've read is about the norm. Cool little spot, I got the Match and Ube swirl, my wife got the Oreo, which were both good. Something about the way the kitchen staff works, it just looks really inefficient. Other than that, food and service was great.

Matcha always for my 10th time here!

The best frozen yogurt I've ever eaten, hands down. I was never really a frozen yogurt fan because…read moreit typically has a watery consistency and flavors are mediocre. However, I can confidently say that I like what I tried at this place better than ice cream. I found out about this place through an Instagram ad and have been meaning to visit for a while. Finally got around to it last night. I tried the pistachio and strawberry flavor. The flavor and consistency are rich. I got the mini size ($7) and they let me combine 2 flavors in one (you have a choice of two separate swirls, or one combo swirl of both flavors), and it wasn't as mini as the cup looks. The worker there gave me nice tall swirls and it was plenty for me. The pistachio flavor tasted like I was really eating a handful of pistachios, and the strawberry flavor tasted like I was eating fresh strawberries that were blended into the yogurt that day. It was very fresh. The yogurt was so rich, I couldn't even tell that it was a non-dairy product (it's made from handmade cashew and almond milk). It's great for people who want to eat plant-based, and for people who just want to try something new and don't want to feel like they're eating an unsatisfying substitute. It really seems like the creator of this chain put in a lot of effort to make a product that is fresh, real, delicious, and ethically conscious. I love the use of environmentally conscious cups/spoons as well. The shop itself is a nice space and they have pints in the freezer to take home that include other flavors apart from the 6 currently on the soft serve menu. They rotate flavors so I'm excited to try different ones. I look forward to bringing my family here to try the product and bring some home. I've noticed other reviews mentioning the price and it is a bit on the pricey side, but it's a high-end product. I'd be willing to buy a pint and save over the long run, than buy a tub of something cheaper that I'd go through in the same amount of time but doesn't feel as good to eat. But to each their own! Thanks Yoga-urt, I'll be back!

I heard good reviews about this place from my friends. Came here because friends recommended it and…read moresaid it was really good. Warning for those with a nut allergy.. this spot is not nut-allergen friendly. Out of the entire menu of yogurts and smoothies, there's really only 2 options that "have no nuts" according to the worker. Mostly everything is almond-milk based, especially for the yogurts. Anyways, I think it's best to be careful and not even try getting one of the "nut-free" smoothies because of the high chance of cross-contamination from the counters. I mean, there's peanut butter, pistachio, cashews, almonds.. yeah. Sadly a can't for me. The yogurt options are pre-made in combos, meaning you don't really choose what you want essentially, but my friends ordered different ones and they did look really good. They also said it tasted super good! The inside was pretty clean and for a small dessert shop, it seemed pretty lively with customers sitting at the tables next to the counter. - street parking available - open late at night Yogurts are at least dairy-free and vegan.

Bingsu/Korean shaved ice is a regular fave of mine but they tend to be very dairy-based and it can be difficult to find a place w/ something similar in texture and that has dairy-free options. My partner got the summertime (strawberry, cherry, watermelon(?) flavor and I got the peach cobbler inspired cup with gelati. I was hoping they'd have the apple pie one but it wasn't listed on the menu when we were there. Regardless, still a very tasty and amazing treat to cool down with!
