Octopus appetizer. Was ok. A bit chewy.
    Corey B.

Came here because an Italian friend at the office recommended the place. Food was good. Dining room was bright and clean. Overhead music was lively. It was charming to hear Italian being spoken by some customers and staff. We could see that some tables received complimentary bread and other tables did not. Who gets the free bread and who does not? We would like to know before considering a return.

My friend and I arrived at 6pm on a Wednesday without reservations and we able to sit immediately. The vibe inside was a mix of Italy and the Greek islands but definitely felt very European. The waitstaff was attentive and very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. The octopus was some of the best I've ever had in my life. It was extremely fresh and the perfect tenderness. My friend had one of the pizzas and thought it was very good.

Still good. New location down the block from the original. The original has character but undeniably raw, rustic and cramped. The new location is modern, comfortable and relaxed. Decor is still dominated by Napoli and Maradona, bright, whimsical and fun. Love the tile tables and the touch-activated lamps. Service is friendly and efficient. Was early for a reservation and thought it might have been unnecessary but it definitely filled up. By the time we left there was a line out the door. Food is still solid too. Grilled octopus was a delight, not fishy at all, good char flavor but still perfectly cooked and tender. Went with spaghetti and clams and repeated the sausage and mushroom pizza. Only complaint is that the pizza disintegrates quickly so I had to use and knife and fork to reassemble bites. Still, the ingredients are fantastic. You get this pungent olive oil with bread to start too. The original has character but come here for the same food in a more comfortable setting.

Absolutely love this place! If you love Maradona and want authentic pizza Napoletana, this is the place to come! It will transcend you to Napoli. They have two locations on two corners of the same street. One is much smaller and the original location, and this is the newer location, that I personally liked much better because of the ambience, seating, and how welcoming it was. I really enjoyed speaking Italy with our waiter. Made me feel a bit homesick and, the pizzas took me back to Italy! I can't wait to come back and try more of there items!

Good pizza, just not a huge fan of Napoletana style. I'm more a NY slice kinda girl. But I enjoyed this because there was more cheese than other Napoletana style pizzas. The pasta was really good and I thought the dish they served it in was very cool, it had a top for grating cheese directly onto the pasta. Never seen that before! The servers were friendly. The atmosphere was cute and cozy, it was the newer location too.

Cute setting and delicious pizza, but it is expensive. A pizza (personal size) costs about $20 and a can of soda is $5! The calamari is very good but I thought it could be more crispy. The margherita and burrata pizzas were delicious and fresh. They are thin bottomed, and the crust is slightly chewy. The thin slices makes it a bit hard to pick up without the slice falling apart though. Don't get the burrata if you are lactose intolerant! Plenty of cheese on that one!

Came here to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed the experience so much!! Even on a monday night, the place was PACKED and so lively!!!! It was filled with folks enjoying their italian meals. It seemed like there were a lot of italians there as well, which spoke to the authenticity of the restaurant. We ordered some spritzes, a margherita pizza, and one of their specialties, a white sauce pizza with zucchini. We also got a potato croquette. I personally didn't enjoy the fried elements too much because they use an oil that has a flavor I'm not particularly fond of. However, the pizza was INCREDIBLE, and the sauce was packed with flavor like naples-style pizzas typically are. I would go back again for the pizza over and over. The kind waiters gave us a round of free wine, which was so nice of them. They also gave me a free nutella panna-cotta for my birthday, which was very sweet. A great place for a celebration, and a great place for a lively dinner outing with friends/family! I will definitely be going back for the pizza.

Song' E Napule is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in NYC! Song' E Napule specializes in Neopolitan style pizzas, and executes them to perfection. This was my first time at their new location on Houston, and I have to say I'm a fan! Our group of 3 didn't feel cramped at all, but it still had the Napoli-centric ambiance of the original location. For food I ordered the Pizza Parmigiana, my go-to. You can tell the mozzarella, sauce, and dough are all top-notch quality. The others in my group ordered the Margherita pizza and Truffle ravioli - both loved their meals. Service is always attentive and really welcoming here. I love bringing people to Song' E Napule and will keep coming back again and again.

Absolutely love this place. Highly recommend.

Came here as part of the Scott's pizza tour. Now this is a good pizza. Very flavorful cheese, milky, creamy. Dough was chewy in a very good way.

The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

You can either take the stairs or the elevator. If you opt for the elevator, there's complimentary wine set up that you serve yourself. This would be great if the elevator took longer, but you are already there before you can finish pouring. I like that they have couches for you to sit at while you wait for your table. It's an open kitchen and you can see all of the action. The energy felt great here. We ordered the cast iron focaccia and Tuna Tonnato. The Focaccia is probably the best I've ever had. It was light and airy and not what a traditional focaccia would taste like. The crust had a nice crisp to it. It was brushed with olive oil and finished with salt. Just perfect and highly recommend. It came with a tomato chili sauce, which tasted good, but was not needed for this. We ordered the tuna to pair with the bread and it was a great combo. I ended up ordering the hangar steak and it was good. Full of flavor and the chimichurri sauce was a nice touch. Though, I would have like the taste of the beef to come out more. The marinade overpowered the meat IMO. My wife got the Rigatoni alla Gricia. I like the pasta and it was bouncy, but the dish was too salty though. We ended the night with the basque cheesecake and I have to say that it wasn't my favorite. The texture seemed off. Normally basque cheesecake is smooth and creamy, but this was a little lumpy like when you over cook eggs in a dessert. Overall, the service was great and the vibes of the restaurant was on point. The food didn't blow me out of the water, but it was good. I would come back here for the focaccia though.

Instinctively I took a piece of that in to my mouth first and was met with the most rancid tasting cheese ever. The cheese was definitely not fresh and had a terrible smell on the outside. I moved this to the side to try the pasta which was honestly forgettable. There simply was not enough basil pesto in the dish, the sauce fell flat on taste and seasoning was nearly absent. The side of broccoli rabe was also so bad and forgettable. The stems were tough to chew, there was no salt and not a single speck of garlic in this dish. This is one of the priciest, grossest plates of pasta and vegetables I have ever had in the city. My friend ordered the eggs Florentine and said it was A-okay. The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. Still, I'd definitely come back for the focaccia, tagliatelle, and the cacio e pepe.

It just didn't separate itself from some of the other really good Italian restaurants I've visited. Service was great, the atmosphere was nice, and overall we had a very enjoyable dinner. Just one where my expectations may have been a little higher than the experience delivered.

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

The carbonara had a great smokiness from the meat, and the risotto was cooked well as was most of the seafood in it. Both the carbonara and risotto had some inedible parts to it that were disappointing. The pancetta had small pieces of hard cartilage and the risotto had part of a shrimp shell.
