As a Neapolitan-American, I loved the immersion in Napoli culture throughout the restaurant. On my first visit this past spring with my daughter, I had a superb glass of falanghina, and we both loved the perfect calamari fritti. On my second visit last month, I began with a nice glass of prosecco, sitting alone at the tiniest table known to mankind at Song e Napule, along with another order of the calamari, then devoured the exquisite Pizza Nerano (with smoked mozzarella, baby zucchini, lemon zest, mint, fresh basil and shaved provolone di Monaco). For me, Song' E Napule serves 1 of the best pizzas in Manhattan, hands down. The Tartufata pizza was to die for--absolutely a must-try. It genuinely felt like I was transported back to Italy with every bite. The special Ziti pasta with mussels was another standout. The shape of the pasta made it unique, and it paired beautifully with the fresh, briny flavor of the mussels. It was all about letting the quality of the fish shine through, and they nailed it. As for the service, it was impeccable. Both of our waiters were attentive without being intrusive, always making sure we were taken care of. Decor is still dominated by Napoli and Maradona, bright, whimsical and fun. Love the tile tables and the touch-activated lamps. Service is friendly and efficient. Was early for a reservation and thought it might have been unnecessary but it definitely filled up. By the time we left there was a line out the door. Food is still solid too. Grilled octopus was a delight, not fishy at all, good char flavor but still perfectly cooked and tender. Went with spaghetti and clams and repeated the sausage and mushroom pizza. Only complaint is that the pizza disintegrates quickly so I had to use and knife and fork to reassemble bites. Still, the ingredients are fantastic. Absolutely love this place! If you love Maradona and want authentic pizza Napoletana, this is the place to come! It will transcend you to Napoli. They have two locations on two corners of the same street. One is much smaller and the original location, and this is the newer location, that I personally liked much better because of the ambience, seating, and how welcoming it was. Cute setting and delicious pizza, but it is expensive. A pizza (personal size) costs about $20 and a can of soda is $5! The calamari is very good but I thought it could be more crispy. The margherita and burrata pizzas were delicious and fresh. They are thin bottomed, and the crust is slightly chewy. The thin slices makes it a bit hard to pick up without the slice falling apart though. Don't get the burrata if you are lactose intolerant! Plenty of cheese on that one! read more

Came here to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed the experience so much!! Even on a monday night, the place was PACKED and so lively!!!! It was filled with folks enjoying their italian meals. It seemed like there were a lot of italians there as well, which spoke to the authenticity of the restaurant. We ordered some spritzes, a margherita pizza, and one of their specialties, a white sauce pizza with zucchini. We also got a potato croquette. I personally didn't enjoy the fried elements too much because they use an oil that has a flavor I'm not particularly fond of. However, the pizza was INCREDIBLE, and the sauce was packed with flavor like naples-style pizzas typically are. I would go back again for the pizza over and over. The kind waiters gave us a round of free wine, which was so nice of them. They also gave me a free nutella panna-cotta for my birthday, which was very sweet. A great place for a celebration, and a great place for a lively dinner outing with friends/family! I will definitely be going back for the pizza. read more

This was my first time at their new location on Houston, and I have to say I'm a fan! Our group of 3 didn't feel cramped at all, but it still had the Napoli-centric ambiance of the original location. For food I ordered the Pizza Parmigiana, my go-to. You can tell the mozzarella, sauce, and dough are all top-notch quality. The others in my group ordered the Margherita pizza and Truffle ravioli - both loved their meals. Service is always attentive and really welcoming here. started with the diavlo za ofc! the pizza had suspiciously perfect ratios of spice to cheese to sauce, it made me want to be a better person bc it was so perfect. the zucchini pasta was next... it put me into a trance, it had me wondering if i really loved my ex bc the love i felt for this za was overwhelming. And finally, the orange dessert... the fluffy airy citrisy cake (i need a candle of this specific smell) paired with icing as white as christiano ronaldos veneers, topped with some whip cream to seal the deal. It made me want to start an orange farm to ensure they will never be able to stop creating this masterpiece of a sweet treat. & on top of that they attended to me so often and lovingly the service had me feeling like the ring leaders wife of some goodfellas movie. The chefs should probably be nominated for a noble peace prize, im confident their food could bring one direction back together. At one point i even got propsed to by one of the waiters. Beware - We were offered water upon seating that ended up being $8 per bottle, without our knowledge. We asked for water refill like we would at any restaurant, and over the 3 hours of dinner, no one told us their water costs $8 / bottle and we went through 3 bottles total. We got the bill and saw $24 for water, so we asked and were told they offer "mineral water" from Italian to all guests, and we had to request "tap water" specifically. It feels more like a scam... the staff even claimed everyone in Italy drinks mineral water; no one drinks tap water (bullshit). We pushed back and got 1 water bottle waived, which was the least they could do... aside from the scam, their pasta was undercooked, disappointing since all the staff spoke Italian. You would expect them to at least pasta right.. their pizza was alright, but not worth the scammed water. read more

I LOVED my experience at Song E Napule! This is their newest location in NYC, with their original location just down the street at 146 W Houston! The ambiance was great and the staff even spoke Italian to us too! As a vegetarian, I felt that there were still a good amount of options to choose from. I ordered the Tre Bruschette with only the vegetarian option x3 (original one has 3 different combos) which was so so flavorful!! For our main courses, we ordered the Pizza Parmagiana and the Gnocchi Special (Fresh Black Truffle). The pizza was smoky in flavor and overall was very good - they also had this chili oil on the side which added even more flavor! The gnocchi was stuffed and topped with shaved black truffle and although the portion size looked small, it was so so tasty and one of the best gnocchi dishes I have ever had! For dessert, we ordered the Coccole which was a big portion but the dough balls were airy and so good!!! All their plating had their logo on it which was very cute too! We sat outside which was nice in the good weather but the tables were pretty close together, next time will likely sit inside!
