Have not been to this Sonic in at least 5 years. Only came because someone bought me a gift card. I'm pregnant and craving a strawberry shake. Packed up my family and infant. It's 8:30 pm on a Sunday night. Just got to the cashier at 8:53. Still waiting on my two shakes and one fry. My child is screaming. My husband is irate. This is the worst drive thru in history. I love Sonic however in my most recent trip multiple employees (they were still very nice) got my order wrong. I ordered a supersonic bacon double cheese burger, small mozzarella sticks, grilled cheese, and a jr double cheese burger. I also asked for hot sauce (employee told me they had jalapeño sauce). When the employees came out they gave me jalapeños (not jalapeño sauce), asked for extra marinara sauce (came back with BBQ sauce), and did not give me a supersonic bacon double cheese burger but instead gave me a regular supersonic double cheese burger (no bacon). Unfortunately I didn't ask for a receipt so by the time I realized there was no bacon it was too late. I will still return to this Sonic, I just felt like my voice needed to be heard because my orders haven't been messed up like this before. Yesterday was the first time I have ever been to a Sonic Drive-In. I don't like eating in the car, but the kids really enjoy it. It is something different. Plus, it is also nostalgia. That is how they did it in the 50s. Don't get me wrong. I am not that old, but a studied history in college. The food was better than I expected. It was good. So, I absolutely love Sonic! The food is always delicious no matter which one you go to. Absolutely get the tots anytime you go. The main issue is with this particular Sonic. Last time I went with family we wanted refills, normal and Sonic has always done refills before. Apparently, this Sonic is under new management who says that refills are unsanitary so they are no longer doing them. NOT a major issue, UNLESS you love your refills!! read more

I've been to this Sonic a few times & have been disappointed every time. In fact, every Sonic that I have been to is just horrible. The food & the customer service is horrendous. Our last visit was the breaking point. I went with my husband & daughter for a sweet treat. Pulled up & pushed the button to order. It took 7 minutes for someone to finally take our order. Now, this is actually what happens every time I visit a Sonic. I can understand if it's busy but I tend to go outside of peak hours. We ordered 2 shakes, a blast & a cherry limeade. Simple & you would think quick. Nope! It took 30 minutes!!! Again, not the first time we've experienced an extreme wait time for something simple. Once we got our order we were very disappointed. There were no toppings as our shows in the picture. A quarter of the way through my blast it was nothing but vanilla ice cream left. It obviously want mixed properly & there was very little to begin with. The same happened with the shakes we ordered also. I have given 4 different Sonics the benefit of the doubt & more than once at each location. Every visit was worse than the last. All the employees are young kids who don't care about providing good customer service & quality food. Such a shame. read more

Sonic has always been my favorite burger place, having grown up in the Southwest where Sonic is prevelant. I was elated to find Sonics popping up all over So Cal and one close to me at Harbor and Baker in Costa Mesa. Until now. Over the past few years, I have visited this Sonic only to be disappointed over and over. Not only is the staff rude and extremely unprofessional, they get my order wrong EVERY TIME I order for more than 1 person. They skimp on the cheese for the cheese tots, forget to add mustard, or put mayo on when it was requested to not have mayo. Forgetting to give us items, getting regular tots when I asked, and paid, for cheese tots. The list goes on and on. I truly hope management sees this and does something about it. I hate to do this, but come on guys. Take the extra second to secure the lids on your shakes! Nothing more aggravating than having to get milkshake out of the interior of my car. Luckily not a lot spilled out but it was a very frustrating time spent cleaning up after an easily preventable task. I could tell they scrambled to get the items out the window of the drive thru as quickly as possible without much concern for quality. On Saturday there was this huge thing going on with Teslas at sonic. Well long story short.. I had to wait like 12 minutes to get my food. I didn't even notice that my chicken sandwich was still frozen! ‍ I was on my way to Hesperia to see my bestfriend and I was starving. Well today I can to claim my food Bc I called very disappointed in Saturday and they were so nice about it! I find the idea of being able to order food from your parking spot inexplicably awesome. The hamburger was just "meh" though, even grading on a curve for chain fast food places. I like coming here for the drinks and it had been awhile. I was at this location on 7/23/17 around 1:45pm and I made the huge mistake of using the drive thru instead of just ordering from one of the parking spots. First off it wasn't that busy. I was the fourth car in the drive thru and ordered a grape slush. What seemed like an eternity as all the cars in the drive thru didn't move. In fact one car in the line got out and left, the wait was so long. When i finally got up to the window it had to have been almost 15 minutes and got my slush which was good. I go to this Sonic occasionally because it is at the end of my street and my son likes their shakes. Every time I go, I promise myself I will never return. Every single time I have been, the wait is ridiculous. I just waited 15 minutes for 2 shakes at the drive through, and I was the only one in line. Also, about 9 out of 10 times, they get the order wrong - hard to do when I'm only ordering 2 shakes. The Food it's good, it's a great atmosphere, but but ,but the team members of this specific sonic restaurant dont have roller skates they are not using roller scakes like the roll model this restaurant is known for. And it's sad when I heart it from the employees when they told me that the company doesn't provide them roller skate, and what's worst is that if they want roller skates, they will deduct it from their pay check. They need more help it was only one carhop last night. I waited over 45 minutes for our order. Our order was wrong so we had to wait another 15 minutes. The food was cold when we got it. The carhop Tito did a wonderful job under the circumstances. I feel that the manager should've helped carhop since it was a packed house. So I decided to come here on my lunch. I had a bad experience the first time coming here , which was them basically forgetting an order, but I decided to give them a second chance because I believe in second chances. Unfortunately I was disappointed yet again. I pull up to a car port and ordered a hot dog. A SINGLE HOT DOG. No drink or tots. I waited 10 min and no hot dog, so I pressed the button to see the status. They told me they had it made and it'll be right out. Then I got on my phone and got side tracked with Facebook lol. When I looked at the clock again, 20 min had passed by and still no hot dog. Glad I didn't pay by card because I would still be sitting waiting for my hot dog. I pulled out of the car port and went across to Five Guys Burgers instead. I wish there was a Zero star. Never again will I come to Sonic. read more

The service gets 0 stars because literary they take 15-20 minutes to get your food out. You guys should hire more people or train them to be faster. At 10pm, they let us sit in a stall for 30 minutes before they came on the intercom and yelled something barely audible and spoken so quickly we could not understand. We asked for clarification but the employee had already disconnected. We weren't sure what we heard at the time and there were other cars sitting in stalls, so we made the mistake of waiting in the order queue again. We pressed the "make an order" button again and waited another 10 minutes and they yelled slightly more audibly this time "sorry stalls closed". We decided to just leave and not place an order after that experience. Our first time coming here, we got our order after 35 minutes and when the employee came out to deliver the order he dropped the reciept on the floor. Not that weird except he asked if we wanted a reciept anyways and I said it's okay, expecting him to go pick it up and throw it away. Nope. Just left the reciept on the floor and walked away. Came here on Mother's Day for lunch. This was my first time trying Sonic. We ordered the Sonic Bacon Cheeseburger, Jr. Deluxe Cheeseburger, Chili Cheese Tater Tots, Mozzarella Sticks and Oreo Shake. Everything was delicious. It was so convenient to pull-in, order and pay at our stall, and have someone deliver us our food on roller skates.
