It really hurts to write this review considering I love Sonic and frequent their Babylon location. I had no idea there would be a closer location but I was super excited. I came here for my favorite shake (Banana Cream Pie) around 10:45pm. Since this is a new location I was prepared to wait a bit and I did. The drive through was packed but that's nothing new. The issues were that the woman taking my order had no idea the shake was on the menu and proceeded to try and correct me on what I wanted, the shake container was broken and spilled and the straw was broken. I'm not sure what has been going on behind closed doors but I am shocked that at how terrible the new location is. Customer service is not the usual, the drink was also half filled in a medium container. I'm kind of in a tough spot since I don't wanna drive 30 minutes to go to the other location but I might just have to. read more

I love that they allow children to ride up on their bicycle without a helmet and order 35 dollars worth of food. He was a very nice kid and offered mints though. Toy in the kids menu was awesome. I was even served without wearing shoes or a shirt. But don't get the lemonade slushie. read more

OK so i know this place just opened 3 days ago. But i have to say, I would rather drive to Deer Park 30 minutes away than go back to this place a town over. We went here a few months ago because we'd never been to a Sonic before, and wanted to try it. I walked in and realized that yes, they really do roll around on roller-skates. I thought it was just a thing they had in the commercials. There was a person rolling around and sweeping the floor, but they left garbage on the floor on our side of the restaurant. And then they wiped the tables but didn't bother drying them, so we had to dry them off ourselves with napkins. Isn't the reason you go to a restaurant to avoid doing stuff? So yeah, we hadn't even gotten our food yet and already a lot of stuff was going wrong. So, the East Meadow Sonic had one final chance to redeem themselves, and that was with the food. The onion rings were sweet (no joke, they tasted like donuts or something), which was a little unsettling for all of us. But the fries were fries, and they were pretty good. Not a zero, but not a two, the burgers are priced as high or higher compared to premium chain burgers, like smash burger and 5 guys, but the burger is far in quality from either of those restaurants. The Macdonald's premium burgers are better quality beef, larger, juicier, more flavorful and cost less, the burger king burgers are better tasting too, checkers and Wendy's both have far better burgers at far lower pricing I ordered a burger and a tiny shake, the small is literally smaller than a small coffee, the tab came to just under 10 dollars! This experience was actually bizarre, the total bill was $9.54 and the cashier actually asked if I wanted my change!!! There is no charity box and I'm sure the change if left would not be donated, I have never ever had that experience before. I'm pretty certain that's actually a script they have, in order to "pre tip" the server, but I don't ever "pre tip", I'm a good tipper, but I decide on tip after the service, not before. To the quality of food; I expected something juicy and savory for this price Sadly, the burger was dry, small and thin, rubbery, and it had that stale chopped beef taste that makes you send the food back, The diameter is about the size of a Macdonald's patty, but it's only about 1/8th of an inch thick, every burger I have ever had in aby chain enjoys a thicker patty (with the possible exception of white castle) Sometimes a chain has such poor quality product, at unreasonable prices, one wonders how they ever franchised successfully, this is one of those chains This is not a restaurant I think anyone should even try, prices are high, burgers are small in size, dry, rubbery, and third or fourth rate in taste. read more

I've always heard good things about sonic but never got a chance to try it. that was until they built this one which is not to far from where I live. so today I decided to give it a try. The gentlemen that took my order was very helpful and got the order right which is a big thing to me because nothing upsets me more than waiting for my food and the order is wrong. Anyway, after a quick view of the menu I decided to get their classic chicken sandwich meal with fries and a brownie & cookie dough monster blast. It took about 10 minutes for the young lady to come skating up to the car with my food which I thought was so dope. the chicken sandwich was very good, their fries aren't nasty but they aren't great either. I ordered a sonic Oreo blast from this establishment. When I received my ice cream, I was incredibly underwhelmed at how many Oreos I got in my cup. There was about 1 and a half Oreos total in my whole 22 oz ice cream. I would not recommend the sonic blasts. My cousin got the same thing and also had basically no Oreos. Ridiculous! read more

Worst drive thru experience I've ever had -- I never write reviews, but this could not go unnoticed. Waited on line for a total of 40 minutes for one shake. The drive thru worker was not taking people's orders from the drive thru speaker. I thought maybe it was broken, but when I drove up to the speaker, it was working fine and he was not paying attention to the cars waiting to order. So some of the cars were ordering from the window instead, which made the line even longer and wasted more time. He didn't even have the decency to tell them to pull over and wait for their food to take care of the rest of the line! I watched my shake sit on the table for 20 minutes and he DARED to try and hand it to me melted. People were honking, driving off because the line was only getting longer. I am appalled from the unprofessionalism that I witnessed tonight and I hope you can take the necessary measures to ensure that this doesn't happen for future customers. read more

I wish I could give this place a zero rating. My husband and I came here. First stall we pulled into did not work at all. After five minutes of hitting the red button, we changed stalls. Simple outstanding - much better than typical fast food. Shakes and concrete custards are especially good. It's a fun place to go with a very nice staff of people. I like it better than Deer Park as you can sit inside too. It just might drive McDonald's, Wendy's and BK out of business because Sonic has them beat on quality, value and staff. Personally i love sonic. This place goes down as one of my favorites for fast food restaurants. But tonight that changed. I ordered a rt 44 ocean water slush and everything went according to plan. It came out tasted good and my friend accidentally knocks it out of my hand and it fell over the counter and spilt all over the counter. Completely an accident. Obviously I wasn't allowed to go in the back and get the mop to clean it so I stood there like any other human being would do. So after the manager began to clean it up she asked me if he was buying me a new one, but she said it with an attitude because she was annoyed she had to clean it up. CLEARLY I would think that the drink my friend knocked over would be made up for and I would receive a new one complimentary. But boy was I wrong. Completely outraged that i had to buy another one. I would think the $4.00 that my slush costed wouldn't put them out of business and wasn't going to come out of anyone's paycheck. So I asked to speak to a manager. The manager Katie was rude, disrespectful and very sarcastic. I was trying to explain to her that my order was wrong she talking over me being sarcastic. I asked her was she a manager she was like yes is that problem with you. As a manager you do not address people like that.
