My bacon cheese burger was gross, it tasted like old fryer oil and dirty socks. I couldn't eat it! I went to the window get my money back. Thats when I got to see and hear what goes on inside behind closed doors. It was absolutely filthy inside and the employees including the manager were talking bad about the people in line and using profanity. It was very unprofessional. How are these guys even open? My daughter got a shake and it was fine, well so thick you couldn't drink it till it was warm. The fries were like kindling! Could hardly chew through them and tasted like fish. We stopped after one bite of the corn dogs. I could have burned the money and avoided feeling sick after. Later talked to an ex manager in training and heard how dirty they are and they don't throw away old food, they sell it. Basically, you'll have better luck with gas station food. I have been here a few times before and have had subpar service each time - but this was the last straw. To be fair the food has always been good. Drinks are great. I ordered a small chili cheese tater tot. Received mini size. Carhop did not deliver any silverware or napkins. I pushed the button to ask for silverware, napkins, and the correct size tater tots, and before I was even able to speak the worker on the intercom said she could not serve me because there was no carhop - telling me I need to pull into the drive through. I ended up stuck with the wrong size and no silverware or napkins. If you want Sonic, do yourself a favor and go to a different location! The staff here obviously couldn't care less! I have been here at least 10 times since they opened. Really like the food here. The low rating is primarily because of several experiences I've had at the drive-thru. IT SUCKS. Went here Thursday at 6:30 pm. Pulled right up to the order box. There were only 4 cars ahead of me. It took 18 minutes to get my order which is ridiculous. My other pet peeve about the drive-thru is that the window does not seem to have a cash drawer...or they never have change in it. Seriously, when I give you a $20 and you give me the paper money back but then say you will be right back with my change, that is crap. Especially when I have already waited FOREVER to get to the window. "Right back" seems to take a minute or even two... Management needs to figure out what the problem is and fix it. read more

I decided to order their peanut butter something blast shake? I don't remember the name but she charged me like $5 on it and then I realized she didn't even ask my size. I ordered a regular cheeseburger meal with fries and got it within seconds after I paid and I thought to my self "that was really fast". Of course because the food had been sitting out, the fries were stale, the burger was not warm. I asked for no onions and no pickles and what happened, there was onions and pickles. Went here the night of the 26th of December and I have been giving them the The benefit of the doubt for refunding my card still no refund. We arrived at about 932 in the car lanes and ordered by 935 and did not receive our food until between 1010 and 1015. That was after we had to buzz them and ask them where our was. It was not busy there at all when we buzz them they told us that they will be refunding our money and making us new fries. But the burgers and chili cheese fries that we received were soggy and halfway warm. I even spoke with the manager Michelle who informed me we would receive the refund that still has yet to happen. First time here since it opened, was expecting something different since everyone hyped it up but it's just your basic fast food. Got the strawberry cheesecake shake and wasn't good. Again was expecting more since ppl talk about their shakes but it was extremely thick which usually isn't a problem for me but I just kept getting chunks of plain graham cracker and the ice cream is clearly soft serve cus it didn't add much texture, we didn't finish it none the less. Also was excited about the jalapeño poppers they have but when we got them they were ALL burnt. And I don't mean just over cooked... they were almost blackened. Service was fine and timely (we sat in the drive in spaces) but once our order was brought we asked if they accepted tips, the girl said yes and took the tip without a "thank you" or even a SMILE.. nothing.. which is terribly rude. read more

So sad that my son's birthday munchies at Sonic fell waaayyy short of good. His father's crispy chicken sandwich w/ bacon wasn't included in our bag nor was his brother's sandwich a bacon cheeseburger also wasn't included in our bag. The lady taking the orders in the drive-thru kept saying "ok, just a minute" after everything I ordered. It felt like it took an hour to place our order that wasn't fulfilled as it was ordered/printed on our receipt. I drove back around, waited in line again in the drive-thru, wait to order another 2 sandwiches, wait to get to the window, speak with the person at the window whom apologized consulted w/ the manager whom also apologized and straight away got to getting our sandwiches made and given to us. The two times I've been to this Sonic, they've given me the wrong change back... I like to pay change in coins to just get bills back, but they always bring me back coins in an odd amount. The first time I questioned the hop and he said, "oh I thought you were giving me a tip." I guess he just picked what he thought his tip should be and gave me a random amount of change in return. Though it's never very busy, this sonic will take about as long to get your food to you as any sit down restaurant, and for about the same price. The people who take your order often are rude and rush you (she kept asking after every item if that was everything) and when i told her it wasn't correct, she ignored me and said "alright well if everything looks right your food will be out shortly thanks bye" and then when the food did come, it wasn't even correct. more often than not i'm left feeling as though i've wasted my money coming here. read more

Same problems as others. They messed up a cheeseburger with only ketchup on our last two visits. Both visits Sonic included the lettuce, pickles, and onions on the burgers. Pretty bad when a 10 year old tells his father that we should only go to Sonic when he only wants a chocolate shake. Especially bad since on our first visit the child fell in love with their burgers. I visited your restaurant on January 27 and ordered my usual chili cheese dog and medium Frito chili cheese pie at the drive through window. To my dismay, I immediately noticed that the Frito pie was unusually small and reported this to the cashier. She agreed that it was small and asked the person who prepared it if it was indeed a medium, without looking at it they said it was. I indicated that I was not satisfied and the girl at the window said sorry and closed the window to end the conversation. When I got home, I realized that the Frito pie was not only small but had almost no cheese, I had to add my own cheese to it. I was disappointed with the food, but I was far more disappointed in the customer service that I received. I'm not likely to ever visit this Sonic restaurant again. read more

This location got my order wrong tonight. This would normally not be a big deal to me, just fix it and we are good. I noticed on the receipt as I waited in the drive thru that there were a few things wrong with my order. I tell the girl at the window and she begrudgingly says she will fix it. After waiting 10 minutes at the window for my order I get it and pull away only to notice it is still wrong. I walked up to the employee door and asked them to correct it because I was not going to wait in line again. The employee comes back with the correct food and tells me, "we will fix it for you this time but next time you need to make sure your order is correct when they repeat it back". As I was re-explaining that I had tried to correct it with them, a worker inside shouted out that the employee didnt have to deal with me. Overall, terrible service. Mistakes happen, but don't tell the customer it is their job to make sure you do your job correctly. My family and I used to get food here frequently, there will not be a next time, ever. read more

We ordered from the walk-up window. They couldn't figure out how to make it work so she had to come out and talk to us. Our order was not given to us correctly, and the ocean water tasted like it was made with toilet water. The sit in area was dirty and the "kids" that worked there wouldn't move without being told to by an older lady that worked there. So this review and the 5 stars are for April. We went to this Sonic cuz my boyfriend is from Cali and assured me the frozen drinks were just the thing for this almost 90 degree day. We ordered 2 large Blue Hawaiians. It was a little disappointing that they messed up and gave us mediums but they only charged us for the medium so not a super big deal. We pulled out of the parking lot and drove off. I took one sip of this lovely concoction and immediately went...RUH ROH! See, I'm allergic to coconut and I could taste a coconut flavor! So I tried to look it up on the website to see if it was made with real coconut or just flavoring and couldn't find it. I'm not deathly allergic but enough to make it a REALLY bad night if I ingest it...like expelling horrors out all orifices until there's nothing but anguished dry heaving in a puddle of my own sweat and tears kind of bad, so I called. April answered the phone and I explained my predicament to her. She not only checked with the drive through workers to make sure they didn't add coconut, she also grabbed the bottle of flavoring and read off the ingredients. No real coconut which was a great relief cuz this thing really does taste like Hawaii! If only I were consuming it there instead of here in Little Lakewood...I mean Lacey! *Sigh* April, however, went a step further and told me that if I didn't feel comfortable drinking it to come back and she would make me any size of any flavor for free!
