Why is the service SO bad here?? It's Sonic, so you want to love it, but just yesterday I was in the driveway waiting for server to come back on the intercom after asking me to wait. I stayed for 10 minutes and then left the line. Other times ive had stuff missing from my order and had to turn around. Once or twice is fine, but this has happened half a dozen times. I waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order.... And they never did. No one even said 'we'll be right with you.' We thought well maybe it's the machine so pulled into another spot, waited another 5. Nothing. So we left. It was busy but can't someone be courteous and say we'll take you order in a few minutes. I was parked on Stall 3 because I ordered from the app because of the whole Covid-19. The girl that answered didnt give me a chance to speak. She was so rude as hell. Some people were trying to pick up their orders at other stalls and SHE WAS SAYING "WE ARE NOT TAKING ORDERS AT THE STALLS" where their manager is on break. I think they only have one manager and i find it rude and stupid because their should be 3 managers there when there are new people working. We just waited in the drive through line for 15 minutes to place our order. There were 2 cars ahead of us. The one ahead of us waited almost 10 minutes to place their order through the speaker. Once it was our turn, the speaker gal said be with you in a minute. 5 minutes later we were still waiting in the drive through, now with 3 cars behind us. We tried to get someone's attention to order and we were either ignored or the speaker was turned off on the customer side. We have had many problems with this Sonic and their crazy wait times. I don't know why we keep trying this place and giving it more chances. Probably because there isn't much to choose from in Yucca. Finally pulled out of the line without ever ordering. Guess we're going to McDonald's now. At least we'll get our food in a normal amount of time. read more

Extremely long and slow drive thru line. We had a large order and they forgot to give us two items that we paid for. So we're out $5 (didn't realize 'til we got home). Honey bbq chicken is so saucy, it almost made me sick. My soda was flat and weird tasting. There were some good points. The girl waiting on us was nice and the shakes were good. I had ordered 6 car hops and it took the lady 10 min to enter them into the computer and another 10 min to enter the rest of our order then after she finally finished she came out side to my car and said because it was a big order I had to pay before they started making my order, I told her ok but I would like to see what you put my order in as because it's not on the screen and I wanted to make sure it was right since she was having so much difficulty entering it in. she said I had to pay for it first then I could see the receipt, I then told her tell me my order back or I'll go somewhere else! She went inside and came back with a receipt and sure enough my order was all wrong! She didn't put half of what I ordered on there so she went and rang what she left out up and came out side and gave me my total I paid for both orders over a 100$. When they brought out my food a guy worker on skates started handing me my drinks then snatched them out of my hand and said I didn't pay for them and I needed to pay. the lady on the other side of my car giving my daughter some of our order told him she paid already just give it to her. Then he pulls out another receipt and said well you didn't pay this order so you have to pay it and again the lady told him I already paid! So after we got our food and they left our car we were going through the food and we were missing a # 1 cheese burger and our meal to our chicken strips and a corn dog. The guy worker accused me of lying even after he seen all the food that I didn't have it , he brought out the corn dog and rest of the dinner to the chicken strip dinner but no cheese burger. So I go up to the door and asked for my cheese burger a Hispanic girl come and said no I'm not that she put in in there her self and I said well let's go get all the food and return my money so as we are walking to the car she tells me it's in there and that it's the only burger with blue lettering and that I don't have to be so rude so I snapped back about how we have been treated and accused of lying so I had every right to be rude so as we get to the car she sees a burger on my daughters lap and says that's it right there n I said no that's not it's a grilled chicken burger so I had to open it and show her it was indeed a grilled chicken burger she says I'll go get yr burger no apology or anything a few min later the guy worker came out with a burger and says sorry but this is typically what happens on every big order I drive off and 20 min out of town I get my burger and take a few bites and automatically taste jalapeño which I am highly allergic to my sister opens the burger and there is a handful of jalapeños thankfully we were right by the high desert hospital and immediately stoped for treatment 7 hours and several shots later I was finally released! And made the call to a lawyer and to corporate This was no accident the only cheese burger in our order was a #1 combo which is a regular burger no way they could have gotten it mixed up it was done purposely! read more

Slow. I mean, really slow. Apportion about 20 minutes to get your food. Even if it's just for milk shakes. Horrible drive through system. If you order just a shake and the car in front of you is ordering a Yucca Valley 10,000 calories feast for two, expect a problem with their order and expect to be trapped in line till you get up to the window and get your shakes. We drove from 29 Palms to have dinner and a 1/2 price shake because it was 8pm happy hour. They were out of lemonade, ketchup, tater tots and the ice cream machine was broken. They said the backup ice cream machine was not ready. I asked if we cojld get a drink for half price since they could not give us a shake. They said no. We left and went to Applebee's. Holy! This is the worst sonic I have ever been to. I think her name is Nicole. Not only did she roll her eyes in response and arguing with my mom who gets the same thing all the time; that is diet. You do not argue with the customer who orders this at other locations. Apologize and say we don't carry it this location not we don't have it at all. For how on earth do you know how other stores are ran. You don't. I am manager at a restaurant. You don't argue. It is pointless and mute. Because for one you are in the customer service industry. I am from the south homeland of sonics on every exit. I know how amazing sonic food can be. This place is decent food wise but not sonic quality. We have been here 3 times in the past year trying to give them a chance. 1st my order was wrong 2nd my chicken was not cooked through 3rd Mine and my husbands orders were wrong. My burger today was not even warm enough to melt the cheese. It is a sad state of affairs for a chain I was raised on to leave a bad taste in my mouth but this one has. Terrible. The only bright spot was the lovely, friendly server Crystal. Took forever to take our order. The one taking orders sounded terrible. I assume she wasn't contagious, but why would u have that person taking orders? I assume she cldnt hear either bc the order had to be repeated and corrected multiple times. As a former employee I know how this store runs. I'm not trying to bad mouth this establishment I'm just giving my feedback about my visit today. So I'm on my lunch break I want a hotdog, so I wanted to sink my teeth into their pretzel cheddar dog.. which by the way was amazing... but I get back to work only to find they gave me a chilli dog, I love chilli dogs but I wanted the pretzel dog. Anyways I had to go back and get it fixed, and there was a couple of employees that just looked at me like I was dumb no customer service skills at all, I don't what happened to that place but it's falling apart. We had a charming waitress, took our order after we figured out you have to push the button at the bottom of the huge menu to get service. My chicken sandwich was soooo bland I couldn't finish it, NO flavor. Tasted my husband's guacamole dog and it was not that good. Not robust but a bust. They've never messed up our order in the 10 or so times we've gone here. Can't say the same for 29 Palm's McDonalds. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and I don't know if it's because I've only had a handful of milkshakes in my life, but wow, best milkshake EVER. Tastes kind of like vanilla cake batter. MY WIFE AND I DECIDED TO TRY IT. Good concept ,kinda like A&W,but they dont offer any food to make them stand out. The taste was mediocre. The taste of cheeseburger,cony,chicago hot dogs were dry and sub par. Der winerschnitzel was much better. In and out ,though with less choices on a menue had a better burger and for less. We didnt like the food as much as other fast food places here in yucca valley. As usual its difficult to understand the person talking to us in the speaker. Therers always the usual car engines and other noise that makes it hard to hear,but in addition..many,not all ,of the youngsters string all their words together as they speak and its hard to get alot of what theyre saying. If you ask them to slow down ,because theyre talking too fast , they over do it and speak in slow motion as if you wanted it in slomotion. I see no reason to go back,sorry to say.
