Absolutely horrible experience! Waited in line for three freaking hours just to get a rip off and my money robbed. Felt rushed at ordering and we shouldn't free rushed if we waited three hours! Didn't even give us a receipt for our order and charged us $100! The best part is we didn't get all of our food, we trusted them since they just opened yesterday! Sonic - Burgers Near Me - Kapolei, Hawaii

My young adult son and I made the long drive to Kapolei because he loves cheeseburgers and was excited to try Oahu's first Sonic. We intentionally waited about a month after opening, hoping the initial crowds and grand-opening issues would have settled down. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. Sonic offers only drive-thru and carhop service, but there is no clear customer parking area. The signage is confusing, and it wasn't obvious which lanes were for drive-thru and which were for carhop. As first-time visitors, we found the layout difficult to navigate. We have a valid handicap parking placard, so I was disappointed to find that the only handicap parking stall designated for carhop service was occupied by a construction vehicle instead of being available for customers. As a result, we were unable to use the handicap parking space we were legally entitled to. There was also a security guard on site who did nothing to address the situation. With nowhere appropriate to park, I had to leave my car in a nearby dirt lot and carefully walk with my son to the single ordering kiosk. The service was slow and disappointing. I specifically requested that my cheeseburger be made without onions because I strongly dislike them. The employee repeated the request back to me before I paid, yet the burger still arrived with onions. The food itself was mediocre and overpriced for what we received. After making a special trip and waiting a month after opening so the restaurant could settle into normal operations, I expected a much better experience. I hope management improves the customer experience by adding clearer signage, keeping the handicap parking stall available for customers who need it, improving order accuracy, and providing friendlier, more efficient service. We really wanted to enjoy our visit, but unfortunately it wasn't worth the drive. read more

The service was great !! Very friendly young kids working !! Shout out to the manager they are hiring the right workers! The management gotta be training these kids well. Reminds me of the nice customer service from In-N-Out on the mainland. Way better and friendly workers vs Chick Fil A which I thought they were supposed to be know for their friendly workers but oh boy was I wrong lol . Chick Fil A Hawaii needs training on customer service with the sonic Hawaii managers. The food was delicious I got the super sonic smasher , although I ordered a All American Smasher and they got it wrong but the nice workers made up for it and they did apologize but they were very nice about it and I feel for them with the many customers but that is something that they really need to work on. Also the portion size was small I was expecting more fries and a more hefty burger. Waiting in line for 45 minutes just to be disappointed is sad. The staff are friendly and the drinks are really good but the food is mediocre at best. I just spent 35 minutes in what appeared to be a relatively short drive through line this afternoon. Had the Sonic app downloaded to my phone and had selected my order only to find out that they didn't have anything on the app menu and I had to order from the menu board next to the speaker. As I am a Senior Citizen and it was so difficult for me to read, I told them to forget it as I couldn't see a thing. My problem not theres. stall 1 on tuesday june 16 at about 2pm line wasn't crazy and we ended up doing the drive up and park at that kiosk. this was my first time at sonic's. i think that sonic's was fast and the drinks and food was good. line moved QUICK! only downside was that the staff was yelling at us about this yelp review. which we had no issue with giving a review, but the staff didn't know exactly what to ask us for the yelp review and was yelling at other workers asking them what to say to us. I walked up to the patio about a week and a half after opening and was surprised at how fast the line moved. Maybe 15-20 minute wait. Staff was super friendly and helped us learn about the menu. Staff is super attentive, they have patio seating, music was playing, all the kids loved the food and were playing around. Even had corn hole! Food was fast and made fresh! I don't normally write reviews, I usually just search and read yelp reviews to decide if I want to give a place a try. But with the service I received I just had to let management know being that phones are never answered. I did try calling several times after I got my food. The negative: I ordered 2 teriyaki smash burgers one with a large fries and one with a large tater tots my burger was bland like it had no seasoning on it and my sides were extremely salty The drinks I ordered was a strawberry cream slush and a heath blast, unfortunately both were watered down and melted by the time I got them, for the price we pay I'd expect the quality to be fresh, tasty and quality perfected. Moving on from food the service I received from the skater was a bit obnoxious, loud and just unpleasant I've never had a server so extra and it made my experience very uncomfortable. I called over a different server a woman on the patio if I recall correctly her name was either Debbie or Dorothy but I had asked her to speak to a manager, she was pleasant about it and jumped right into getting one The positive: When the manager arrived outside to my car she introduced herself as Britt. I let her know all the issues I had and how uncomfortable I felt with the skater! I had an excellent experience thanks to Manager Britt. If it wasn't for her professionalism and the courtesy she had to offer a remake on all items which she personally made I don't think I ever would've came back. She was professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to providing outstanding customer service. Britt took the time to listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and made sure everything was handled quickly and efficiently. Her positive attitude, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond made a lasting impression. It's clear that she cares about both her customers and her team. Our server (Dorthy) noticed that our Cranberry Limeade was looking a little light (not the bright red it usually is), she offered to correct the issue without us having to say anything.
