We arrived near lunch hour and their menu says they serve lunch and breakfast until 2:00. Companion ordered the BLT. It comes with 7 (count them) full slices of bacon. It was so big that 1/2 of the sandwich was boxed up for take out. For a side dish, the loaded potato soup was ordered. Loaded isn't the proper word, as it had loads of bacon, potatoes, cheese, sour cream, and green onions. Companion could not finish it. For myself, I ordered the patty melt. A really big, thick patty cooked just as I asked for it, loaded with grilled onions and a side of beautifully crisp fries on the side. The sandwich was so big that I too had to ask for a box to take half of it and a bunch of the fries home. Of all the patty melts I have ever eaten, this was without a doubt the best one. As many of you know, there is always room for dessert. We ordered a dessert to share. Cinnamon brandied blackberry bread pudding. It came in a big bowl, warm and satisfying with a whipped cream topping. Unfortunately, my tongue wasn't long enough to lick the bottom of the bowl, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Service was spot on, with our needs taken care of very rapidly. Unfortunately, Google has it located in the wrong place on the map. If you are going, it is located directly behind Home Depot. It is my hope Google will correct it soon. This is my new, goto place to eat, and I definitely will be going back again and again. 5 stars for service, food, and cleanliness.

While the occasional trip to Mesa is fine, I would prefer one closer to Phoenix or Tempe. This location seems a bit odd from the outside. When approaching, it appears to be an office building. Once inside, the familiar C&C Co decor takes over and seems more like a restaurant. The service at this location is as fast and friendly as I remember at the Tempe location. The food is always great. I usually get the irresistible California Eggs Benedict, but opted for a different dish for a change. The Bregger's Omelette was very good and stuffed with fillings. I can never get enough of the Country Potatoes .... they're AMAZING! The White Toast was as expected. While I miss the Tempe location, this one was just as satisfying and plan to return soon.

I ordered The Wanda, an eggs Benedict with avocado and a homemade hollandaise sauce that deserved a standing ovation. Rich, bright, and silky, it wrapped around the dish like Sunday morning sunshine. I also sampled the homemade biscuits and gravy. Hearty stuff. Real comfort food. The kind that reminds you somebody in the kitchen still believes in feeding the soul. The place has warmth to it.
