    Medium Pepperoni Pizza

We had dinner at Soprano's after trying a restaurant downtown that was underwhelming. My daughter and I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, and we both loved it, it was perfect for two with plenty of leftovers. The ambience in the restaurant is quiet and cozy, and the Service was friendly and fast.

At 8:30pm on a Monday I got a mad craving for spaghetti bolognese with meatballs, and when I saw Soprano's was open I figured it was a typo. But not only were they open until 10pm ON A MONDAY, but the food was excellent. Nice ambiance and I had it to myself. Great and unexpected experience, very close to home.

The atmosphere here is super cute. Not pretentious and very comfortable. The service is always friendly and accommodating. I have visited here a number of times and it's very consistent. The food is always good and the portions are generous. My favorite items are the chicken Parmesan and the lasagna. They're both delicious and perfect comfort food when it's rainy and/or cold out. Their pizzas look solid but I can't actually say I've tried one. They have a really nice happy hour during the week from 4-6 with good food and wine/beer soecial

GLUTEN FREE PIZZA. CRACKER STYLE. 12" Mafia Gluten Free Crust Pizza

GLUTEN FREE REVIEW I've been on the hunt for the best gluten-free pizza on the California area of West Seattle. I highly prefer non-cracker crust. People with food allergies want good pizza too with a nice crust. The closest I've found is nine hats or Razzis but these are both just far enough away for the pizza to be cold by the time he gets to your house. The ingredients here taste good but the gf crust is nothing to write home about. About the same as Tallricos and pizzeria credo. If you have any recommendations for the best gluten-free pizza in west Seattle, this isn't it, but I am all ears.

Look no further - This place is AMAZING! Like, Amazeballs amazing!! Hands down the BEST ITALIAN FOOD in King County. The atmosphere is sophisticated, service is outstanding, and the red sauce is truly authentic. 10/10! Affordable too. You'll be taking home leftovers! ;) My. New. FAV!

    Chicken Parmesan Pasta

Our party was craving calzones and pasta, so that's exactly what we came for. Wish we did try the pizza though as it looks terrific. Calzones and white sauce pasta were delicious whereas the parm options with red sauce felt a little more standard. However, pasta is delicious so I round up a bit from the 3.5 I figure. House Calzone - doesn't seem crazy but it's packed, dense, and filling! Satisfied my calzone cravings with a outer layer that was thick enough to hold all the contents but not overly thick. This calzone did not need the marinara sauce as it was flavorful enough. Fettucini (build your own pasta) - creamy fettuccine, the Alfredo sauce was an amazing mixture of cheese of butter that enhanced the overall dish. I would definitely say the Alfredo here was better than the marinara. Chicken Parm - a classic, but nothing special. Spaghetti was simply boiled and placed, marinara had no wow factor, and chicken was breaded light. Probably a more replicable dish at home, but chicken parm is always a solid, safe bet, so usually it's not bad anyway with room to improve. That was this chicken parm, not bad but room to improve. Eggplant Parm - similar to the chicken parm, nothing was too special. Spaghetti and sauce were the same as above, just typical. Not much to say here.

Came here with my husband and kids. Food was delicious and atmosphere was nice. Not too loud and relaxing music. Definitely coming back.

This was the last minute find for the entire family and we couldn't be happier. Everything was such a refreshing and positive experience from the food, service, food, and ambience we will absolutely be back again! The chicken Parmesan was amazing and did not disappoint, and my kids loved their cheese pizza and said it was the best they've had yet!

    Cesar Salad
    Logan O.

Pizza was 7.9/10 would have gave it a better score if it was thinner but the crust was very fresh and a bit of sourdough twang to it, chewy cheese tasted like fresh ingredients overall. The Cesar salad was great very good dressing proportions, meatballs were a bit underwhelming. Overall very good service and food came out fast, will be back anytime I'm near Alki for date night.

Great new spot in West Seattle. Hit up the low carb menu (little to much sauce) but large tasty portion.

There was some renovation going on, so there weren't any seats available for dine-in. However, there was a bench inside where we sat to enjoy our coffee, which worked out since I love having coffee at cafes, especially in their cute mugs. The quality of the coffee was amazing easily one of the best I've had in Seattle. I also appreciated their efficient setup: the barista takes your order and makes it at the same time. You might have to wait in line a bit longer, but you get your coffee right away instead of waiting for your name to be called later. Just be prepared for a line, but it's totally worth it!

We picked up a couple of bags of beans from the shop, but all the credit goes to their amazing barista and owner. You can truly tell how passionate and skilled they are in their craft. We loved it so much that we visited twice, and both times the drinks were absolutely perfect (tried cappuccino and espresso with hot chocolate) The café has such a cozy, relaxing city vibe; I noticed many people upstairs reading, studying, and working. I'd love to come back someday and spend more time there, savoring their coffee to the fullest.

We heard that they had a great burger, so couldn't wait to try it and the rumors were right. The burger was delicious. What we didn't know is how good the fries were. It makes me rethink all the fries that I've had lately. I don't even know why I've bothered, they've just filled my tummy. These fries were delicious. We enjoyed a couple great cocktails and I had a yummy nut brown ale that was made in a healthy way I guess so I didn't get the headache that beers usually give me. The steak salad dressing was really good. The steak was a little chewy but otherwise the portion was fair and it was tasty. I decided on the Veggie Monster omelet, which came with a choice of grits or hash browns and toast. I opted for the hash browns, and asked for them to be well done, because in Seattle, they serve hash browns undercooked. The omelet was good, though it lacked flavor and was a little light on cheese. The hash browns were crispy on the top, and raw underneath. Tip: if you ever order breakfast in Seattle, ask for the hash browns to be cooked on both sides. The meal was filling and was accompanied by a cup of good coffee. The waitress was super friendly and came by often to refill my coffee. Overall, this is a decent place to grab breakfast, and I'd recommend it to anyone in West Seattle.

BoxBar has been on our list of vegan places to try for forever and a day. We made it out that way…read morethis weekend and our experience lived up to everything we've heard about them!! The pasta was amazingly tender, cooked to perfection. There was a lot of flavor and depth in each bite, more of a deliciously earthy mac and cheese as opposed to maybe a velveety smooth creamy type. The Jalapeño poppers were amazing. I've always associated poppers with a crusted fried topping but these were bold, going in a different direction. The jalapeños were fresh and soft to the bite, easy to cut with the side of a fork, loaded with components such as cashew cheddar, crema, avocado sauce, sweet pickled jalapeños, pico and cabbage slaw - all coming together perfectly in each bite (i'm utilizing their menu description) For the main dish, Sandi ordered the "Smokey Barbecue" which came with a complimentary side of chips and I ordered the Portobello French Dip and upgraded my side to a Side Salad for an extra $4. Each dish, every bite was delicious, even something as simple as a side salad was elevated with their Ginger Tahini dresing. Dipping the Portobello Sandwich into the Dip was just .. magical. We also both opted for the same drink, South Park Mule. The drink was legit, in addition to tasting great, I actually had a buzz as well .. indicating to me they didn't skimp on the adult juice Their food is amazing across the board and there's so much more to go back and try! Definitely worth the trip!!

I'm updated my review to reflect a recent takeout dining experience…read more A couple weeks ago, we ordered 2 salads, and 2 sandwiches. We ordered pickup. Upon arrival to our house, the order was incorrect, whoopsie! We called back and the waiter who answered mentioned that we had accidentally taken a staff meal home. None of our to-go boxes were labeled. How could anyone know? This is a rookie mistake. It's been a while since this Goblin worked in food, but that's a non-negotiable. Especially given a place that prides itself on catering to restricted diets and lifestyles. This is exactly how you let a pumpkin seed slide into a seed allergy order. Instead of letting us keep the meal, she asked us to bring it back to the restaurant. We were happy to do so. Everyone deserves to eat. Should we have kept it for ourselves? We bring the food back, and the waiter explains that there was a mixup, and apologized. They handed us another to-go box (which wasn't labeled) and tried to end the conversation. "Have a good night!" We had to then explain to this waiter that our wives demanded something in return for the error, which was true. The waiter/bartender had a puzzled look on their face. Customer? Demanding I make something right? In my workplace?! A direct statement void of passivity about the quality of my service? With conditions? The audacity! We live in a world where we, the customer, bring back your incorrect order for you, waste our time, and we just get a, "thanks, have a good night!" This goblin had to claw his way up the ranks pillaging for gold which doesn't come easy. Everyone knows food cost in Seattle went up ~%46 since 2019. Wages haven't. We told the waiter our wives wanted a slice of cake. The waiter was shook by our audacity, and moved towards the fridge behind the bar to consult with two chefs who were shutting it down. We were arriving near/at close on a Monday. The other two chefs body language exuded "just give them the rest of the cake". There was a couple moments of pause and hushed conversation. The waiter pulled out a large serving plate with only a small chunk of Chocolate Mousse Cake left. Instead of putting that into a box, apologizing, and fixing the problem. They conferred about the legitimacy of our claim with the chefs. Hesitantly, they cut the cake into a small slice, put it in a box (which wasn't labeled) and handed it to us. What's hilarious is that they would leave such a small piece going into the next day of prep. Why not just 86 it right there? Why was it so hard for this person to acknowledge they made a mistake, and do something kind for us in return? The chefs clearly understood these fundamental building blocks of customer service, had they not been there in the front of house, I'm sure the waiter would've made an excuse to not remedy the situation. From all of my years in food service, if something is wrong, you make it right, end of story. By owning the error, you keep your integrity. Even a small gesture like 10% off one item, between the hours of 7:35pm- 7:45pm every third Monday, however inconsequential and trivial, makes people feel like you've made things right. These basics need to be addressed with FOH staff. With food cost nearing the price of rent each month in Seattle, customers should feel empowered to speak their mind respectfully. My only reason for going into excruciating detail is the hope that this can be a teaching moment, and more people can eradicate passivity. Passivity is a threat to community, culture, service, and so many other integral parts of our society. It's OK to disagree in public. It's OK to check someone. It's OK to tell your server "No, honestly, it wasn't that good, here's why..". When we deny the truth about our experiences for fear of disrupting the status quo, we withhold an essential part of building stronger, more diverse and resilient communities. "Goblin D, don't you think this is a bit too deep for a food review?" No, and if you've made it this far, the two stars are for the two chefs who made sure we got our cake.
