I've lived in Cincinnati for 54 years and finally made my first visit to Sorrento's! Our party of 6 shared bruschetta, a large pizza, a regular pizza and an order of spaghetti and meatballs. While everything was delicious, the entire group raved about the meatballs! The pizza was very filling, on the thicker side with massive amounts of cheese. The sauce was tangy with a slight kick of spice, which I really enjoyed. The dining room was warm and festive with plenty of Cincinnati memorabilia lining the walls, along with obligatory Italian scenes and celebrities (Sophia Lauren, Dean Martin, etc.). Service was very friendly and attentive. Reservations are recommended, but we did not need them when we arrived at 5:00.

Carry out order only! Cant speak to ambiance or service. I ordered the crispy ravioli, smoked dry rub wings, and tiramisu. The ravioli was the best appetizer ravioli I've ever had! It was full of gooey cheese, and perfectly crispy on the outside. Seriously, I will be ordering them again. The red sauce for dipping was also good. The chicken wings were decent. The dry rub tasted like some Italian seasoning which was nice. They were not greasy so that's also a plus. They could have been crispier though. They were a bit chewy. I think I'd order a sauce on the side for dipping next time as well. They just needed something. The tiramisu was good. Could have used more soaking of the lady fingers as the cake was a bit dry. But it was dusted well and included some chocolate sauce and extra cookies on the side that I'll have for breakfast with my cappuccino. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this place and look forward to trying more menu items.

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to eat in the Norwood area before my son's soccer game at XU. We didn't want the same old, same old, and that's when we came upon Sorrento's Italian Joint. First let's talk about the decor, which deservesa shout-out. It is so warm and cozy inside, and the paintings on the wall are beautiful! The building has an old-world feel, and the wine bottle room is especially cool! Now onto the food. We started off with the Bread Basket. The rolls looked and tasted homemade, and the herb garlic butter was unique and flavorful. For my entree, I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, while my husband had the Chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were delicious--and the serving sizes were large. The Spaghetti and Meatballs comes with three, huge meatballs that are homemade. The pasta is homemade as well, and you can taste the difference. The entire meal had that fresh, made-from-scratch quality, and I savored each and every bite. Unfortunately, we were too full to try dessert, plus we had to hurry back for the game. Next time! The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly, and the service was lightning-fast. I highly recommend you stop in for a bite. I personally cannot wait to return. Bon Appétit!

We went here for NYE, and since we ate early, we were the only ones there when we sat down. We got the sausage dip for an appetizer, and I ordered the cheese ravioli for my main course, and we finished with a slice of cinnamon bun cheesecake made by the mother of our waitress! The waitress was friendly and checked on us regularly, and the food was great. It's a casual spot with a lot of families and older couples at least when we were there. I hear that it attracts a crowd of XU fans as well.

Updated review based on a recent visit- the pizzas were flavorful and all of us enjoyed the slices. We ordered a few apps to try, sausage dip and mozzarella sticks. Server was nice and the space is cool.

Friday lunch with a group of 12 friends. We were seated in a small side room and we all enjoyed the Lenten fish and chips, a variety of pizzas or chicken parmigiana sub with yummy fries. Service was a tad slow with one waitress but the food was hot and delicious.

·Sorrento's Italian Joint-NORWOOD 5143 Montgomery Rd, Norwood 45212 (513) 531-5070 www.sorrentosnorwood.com Stop by my Facebook Page - Like, Follow & Share! https://www.facebook.com/BaldWhiteGuyReviews/ Finally made it to Sorrento's after a soul-crushing football loss (RIP Big12 Champs), and wow -- consolation dinner did its job. The place is cozy, decorated like your Nonna swiped an Instagram aesthetic, and the patio's fire pit was doing its best to convince me November is a suggestion, not a rule . 60 degrees #GlobalWarming #AlGore #Internet We parked in the auxiliary lot -- main lot - Packed! T hought for a second about sitting on the Patio - headed inside like a normal human being. Hostess stand was a busy beehive; after a few polite seconds of being wallpaper, we were shepherded to a side room away from the main dining area that smelled like garlic and good decisions. Music in that room was auditioning for "Most Likely To Compete With Conversation," but shoutout to Emma, our server, who promptly turned it down and actually cared. Service = excellent. Sound level = negotiable. Shared the step cousion room with 2 very large - very loud parties. #Insidevoice Food highlights (because that's why we're here): Bread basket ($4) -- yes, it's not free; yes, you should still buy it. Fresh knotted Italian bread + herbed garlic butter = sauce mop of champions . Also: Who charges for bread at an Italian restaurant? Sorrento's that's who. Worth the $4! Garlic Mozza Pizza Sticks -- Full disclousure, I didn't read the description. I expected pizza-flavored sticks; instead got glorious cheesy pull-apart bread and one of the best marinara sauces I've tasted. Spaghetti & Meatballs -- homemade everything; meatballs the size of fist. Worth the calorie commitment. House salad -- technically salad-shaped iceberg. If you like crunchy water with dressing, this is your salad. Tomatos, Cucumbers, and croutons. #WheresTheCheese Otherwise, Caesar me next time. Da Meatball pizza (10") -- hand-tossed, perfectly cheesy, slicled handmade meadballs, onion for drama; Delicous . Portions? Generous. Leftovers? Confirmed. Price? Surprisingly sane -- three people, way too much food, and leftovers for another day: about $70. Value = chef's kiss. Vibe: locally owned since 1956, full of Cincinnati pride photos, decent live-music potential (we missed the band by being exiled to the "cousin closet" side room). If you bring a crowd or book a reservation, you'll probably get the main dining room and maybe even a band serenade. If you don't, expect a noise closet and being unwhittingly involved in others conversations! #InsideVoice Final tally: delicious food, great service, charming atmosphere with minor seating lottery drama. Solid place to make up for a bad afternoon -- or make a good one even better. Stop by Sorrento's and tell them the Bald White Guy sent you! Rating: 4 out of 5 Bald Head Emojis ‍‍‍‍ (minus one for banishment to the cousin closet) #BaldWhiteGuyReviews #SorrentosNorwood #CincyEats #ItalianDoneRight #BreadAndMarinaraLife #DateNightPotential #SupportLocalRestaurants #BaldHype

Our group from the Y ate at Sorrento's Italian Joint for lunch today. It was my first time there. The pizza was good. They have 2 sizes, Reg and Large. The reg is big enough for 2-3 people. I took 2/3 of mine home and will get another meal and a snack out of it. I was told the fish and chips and the BBQ pizza were also good. The service was friendly and she did a good job considering she was handling 3 rooms of patrons by herself.

The salad was very light and had great flavor. Both the pastas were amazing but the limone is hands down my fave. Both wines paired well with my meals. Would I come back? Absolutely. I know my fiancée would love it here! What a great experience! Food and drinks were on point. All fresh ingredients and hand made.

It was sweet and acidic while also slightly rich because of the pig fat. The meat in it was a little tough and was a little unpleasant to chew when i got a big clump of it. I would recommend trying the food here. For service, at the start my server got my order and everything in pretty quick so no complaints. After he took my order, i did not see him at all during my entire meal. At the end, it took 20 min for me to get my check and pay. I saw my server standing there talking with his coworker for the entire period while i was waiting for him to come by for the check. Even after i got the bill, it took another 10 min for them to take it and cash me out because they were chatting with each other. I shouldn't even have tipped because all he did was give me a water and take my order, he didn't even bring the food or check in with me. Because it is so exxxxxxpensive, this is not a restaurant you casually dine at. But since it was my sister's Bachelorette weekend, my group of 7 treated the bride-to-be to a luxurious dinner here in May 2026. And she had a wonderful experience! The interior is gorgeous, elegant, and smells amazing. The staff is professional and runs with the efficiency of a Michellen-starred restaurant. I always enjoy watching a staff of 7 deliver the table their food like they are performing a choreographed dance. I ordered the cheapest drink on the menu - a yummy local beer from MadTree for $7. The others had much more expensive cocktails that were $20+. You won't have to worry - while their food menu is small and selective, the drink menu is HUGE. They surprised us with glasses of in honor of my sister's upcoming nuptials. That was a lovely treat! I kept to being a cheap-o and ordered the $18 "Arpege" salad as my main. It didn't have any meat but it had a lot of cheese! Yum! Others ordered more substantial mains like the scallops, the beef tartare, the halibut, etc. All were plated beautifully. I had a bite of the bolognese, and while a small portion, it was superb. You do have to pay for bread service but it is unlimited refills so on $8, the 7 of us went through 6 loaves of bread and 6 trays of delicious salted butter. I personally probably had 2 loaves on my own. My god, it was the best thing I ate the entire trip! After we ate our mains, we then ordered a variety of desserts. Most of us got ice cream (get the strawberry!!). My sister and another girl got the famous "candy bar" dessert and the cheesecake. I had a bite of the candy bar and for $15, it was the most dense candy bar ever! Sooooo much chocolate! I'll end here but with tax and tip, we paid about $630ish. My portion was $51, by far the lowest of the group. I got out relatively cheaply because I filled up on bread but feel free to treat yourself and indulge a bit more!

Their foie gras torchon is also exceptional. We cannot wait for them to bring back the cod in buerre Blanc sauce. But last night we opted for the hamburger, which is quite the treat there. If you are a bourbon drinker, you should try their buffalo trace single barrel right now. My husband thought it was more delicious than most other buffalo trace, more of a cherry and vanilla hint. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we arrived around 7:25. When we got there I noticed the table near the chef's counter was still occupied, but we weren't too concerned since the party already had their to-go bags on the table. About 15 minutes passed and they ended up ordering dessert (slowly), so it became clear they weren't leaving anytime soon. The manager offered us a different table and apologized, but Lola had been really looking forward to the chef's seating since that's specifically what we reserved. In the end we waited about an hour, which was frustrating, especially since the other party could clearly see we were waiting. Overall it was an awkward situation to be in. That said, the staff handled the situation very kindly. The manager offered Lola a tour of the kitchen and the chance to meet the chef. My daughter was a little nervous and wanted me to go with her, but it seemed like the invitation was meant just for her and they didn't want adults in the kitchen (I get it!). The manager noticed she was scared and took her hand and walked her through the kitchen which made my daughter feel at ease. It was a thoughtful gesture and they were incredibly apologetic the whole time. Again, it was just an awkward situation overall. Plus we were starving. The food, however, was fantastic.
