Did a girls night dinner here and we really loved it. We came on a week night with no reservation and were seated right away. We shared the Polpette Rigatoni and the Focaccia Romana pizza and it was delicious! The pasta was cooked to perfection and the dish had a good amount of meat. We also really liked the sauce and the pizza. Our dessert was dulce de leche cake and it's one of the best ones we've had. I would say it is worth coming to this restaurant just for dessert. We specifically liked that the dessert selection is shown on a display so you can see everything that's available before you decide. The place overall has a nice ambiance and it's tastefully decorated. They also have a bar which is cool to hang out or watch a game. Their alcohol selection is beer and wine and gratuity is automatically included on the bill (party of 3). The service was on the slow side but we didn't mind it since we were relaxing and just enjoying a night out. Just something to consider if you're on a clock. We can't wait to be back! read more

I had to go with 3 and not 4 stars. The host is very charming with his Italian accent. This restaurant is a nice date spot. It has an Italian feeling to it. They have some jawdropping desserts. I did not try any but I might stop by one day since this is pretty close to where I live. Starting off, the complimentary bread had zero taste. None. The bright side is I didn't fill up on bread. Two bites was enough. They do use high quality olive oil. Service was lackluster. I will leave it at that. But I still would not have given them 4 stars even if the service were better. Anyhow, my salad was super fresh. The feta cheese was different from the rest. I liked it. I did not like how the black olives had pits in them. This was awkward. Tomatoes had no taste. I tasted the bruschetta. This was different from any I had eaten before. I didn't like it but that was not my dish so no problem. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese. I ordered it with meatballs but I thought it already includes meatballs based on the title of it on the menu. Server went into a whole explanation how it cost more with meatballs. No problem. I am very picky with meatballs. These were okay. I was able to eat them so that is a compliment to the chef. The dish came out piping hot which was perfect. It was saucy which was also good. Some of the pasta was pretty hard and not al dente. I do not like soft pasta at all. This was too much firmness and some of the Rigatoni made me feel I could break a tooth. I might come back. When I went to the restroom I saw a delicious looking meat dish that was not Osso Busco or whatever that is called. That is the only meat dish on the menu I saw. Sosta it's a cute hidden Italian restaurant it's great for lunch and dinner . Great to hang out with friends and enjoy a bite with no big crowds and fresh food. There's many options from lasagna, pasta , pizza and paninis ! I order the PPLT panini ; it's ham with provolone and pesto sauce with a side of lays chips (there was no options given for side) ... it was good, but nothing of the ordinary comparable to their other food . read more

Initially the entire experience started off great. Our appetizers, the Minestrone soup and meatballs were delicious. After ordering our main entrees a couple of things went wrong. I had ordered the ravioli with a side of grilled chicken which was not brought out together with the food as it seemed as they had forgotten about it. The chicken on the chicken parmigiana that my partner ordered tasted like it was cooked in the same pan as fish and had a fishy like taste to it. As we asked for our waiter in order to resolve the issue we waited a while to be attended. The food was okay nothing out of this world. They did try to make up for it by trying to replace the meal and leaving us a dessert on the house. I believe there are a couple of things this restaurant could brush up on before continuing to attend customers. Overall the atmosphere was very nice regardless I might not be repeating this location. Had the fiochi de pera but asked for some chicken as my protein, it was the hardest chicken I've ever had.. dry... I'm certain it was not cooked at the moment.. seemed frozen.. disappointed. Came here with 3 friends on a Sunday afternoon (when they opened) and was seated quickly. We ordered the cheese and cold cuts for an appetizer, it came out quickly and was pretty nice - the jelly/jam was a good addition. For entrees, we ordered the Seafood Ciambotta, Mushroom and Prosciutto Lasagna, Shrimp Scampi, and Fettucine al Salmone Burrata. Seafood Ciambotta - strong seafood flavor, seasoned well, but a little too acid for our personal liking. Shrimp Scampi - cooked well but was too salty for us, nice hint of lemon. Mushroom and Prosciutto Lasagna - very creamy, mushroom was good, very filling. Fettucine al Salmone Burrata - different flavor from what we were expecting but was pleasantly surprised; light and creamy - our personal favorite. Service was mid, we got our waters refilled once after around 15 minutes of waiting with empty cups, and the waitress was very passive. Overall, a good restaurant for authentic Italian food, food was great, service was okay. read more

I found this spot one day completely by accident. I have lived in Pines for 20+ years at this point and had never seen it. However, wow. Pleasantly surprised! Amazingggg food. The warm bread is ridiculously good. I like ordering the Bolognese Ravioli. Every time I go the service is great and I'm in and out quickly. They use fresh ingredients and they have a little shop attached to the restaurant as well. I have been coming back pretty consistently and would definitely recommend this place. read more

Came here on a weekday for lunch with friends and there was no wait at all. Parking was also super easy to find. I loved the complementary bread--soft and warm--and I definitely appreciate that they were generous with seconds. We shared the Brie al Forno appetizer (with brie, arugula, apricot preserve, almonds, and bread): the brie was warmed at a temperature that was easily spreadable, and paired well with the sweet apricot. The almonds and arugula added even more textures, and the bitterness from the arugula made the overall flavor more complex. My friends shared the Gnocchi Aurora (pink sauce), which they said was their favorite. I had Fettucine al Salmon e Burrata: the pasta was perfectly al dente, and salmon wasn't dry or over cooked. I always love burrata. Honestly, carbs with meat and cheese, what's not to like. Our server was nice and knew how to split our check. I was too full from bread and pasta for dessert, but it looks super tempting so I'll be back for it. This is my new go-to place for Italian food. read more

Amazing!!! The food here was incredible! We started our meal with the split pea zuppa and the garlic focaccia. Both were delectable and full of flavor. We then went for the raised beef ravioli bolognese and the chicken parmigiana. The richness in flavor and juiciness of the chicken parmigiana was out of this word and the pomodoro pasta it comes with does not disappoint!! My husband loved the ravioli and the meaty sauce it came with as well. Finally we tried the homemade tiramisu and it was amazing!! the cream was fresh and the flavor of expresso was rich and bold! The service definitely could have been better. Don't come here expecting great service because you will be disappointed. I would still go back even with the bad service though because the food and ambiance of the restaurant are everything you want in a great Italian restaurant. read more

Love love love. Came for dinner with a large group for my mom's birthday. The place is so cute and vibey, not too crowded thankfully. The service was amazing, very attentive and very welcoming. We got a million things and nobody had anything bad to say about anything. To start, we got the Focaccia Romana - everyone loved it. It was so savory and cheesy, I couldn't get enough of it! My boyfriend and I got 2 plates to share. The chicken Marsala he loved, but I am not a fan of chicken dishes so I don't want to comment on this. The Fiocchi si Pera was incredible. It was rich of flavor, mixing sweet and salty ingredients which I adore. I also shared the risotto with my mom. Amazing, all I can say. Overall we had an amazing experience. Love this place. Food is always amazing. I thought the service was at best 4/5, sometimes that is the price you pay when you are a big group. I had the chicken Marsala and would recommend it to anyone. The chicken portion though can be small for some people. Couple things: can get pizza as an appetizer and highly recommend the Brie as an appetizer. PS. Wine bottles are half off on Monday night. read more

Great Italian spot in Pembroke Pines! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall off of Pines Blvd. It's cute and has room for big groups and small events. Once seated, they bring you bread which was nice and warm. We started with the Brie and it was very good. Would have liked to see it come with a little more bread though. For lunch, we had the chicken parmigiana and the Fiocchi de pera. The chicken in the parm may be small for some people, but the food was very good. For dessert, we ordered the hazelnut tiramisu. The coffee flavor was a little strong for my taste, but it was still very good. They have a number of fresh cakes on display that can also be ordered. The service was very good. We enjoyed lunch and will be back when in the area. read more

Went to this restaurant on Mother's Day, the hostess was very friendly helpful and friendly, but when it came to the service and food not so spectacular. The waiter took forever to come and get our drinks order. We asked for bread and the faces were priceless. Once our food came the quality was not what we expected. Most likely not visit here again. Revisited last night for the first time since September, given my last visit wasn't very good. And this time was like every other, perfect. I mentioned how my last visit was to the owner, he told me that pears are seasonal and flavors may vary...but if anything they'd be out of season now. Italy away from Italy. Self seating in the non busy hours. Server was really nice and explained the menu a bit to me. Decent drink menu and even better food. This place is absolute amazing - service is great, food is excellent, ambiance is family oriented. If you come here be ready to leave stuffed. However, please make sure to leave room for desert because they have a great assortment of deserts to choose from. Visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. It is located inside the Rooms to go shopping so you won't miss it. They will serve bread and water, the menu is long so take your time reading everything. They have gluten free pasta so if you are looking for this option, they will have it. Our server was super nice and answered all our questions and make recommendations. For appetizer we had the Brie and it was really good. We also had the chicken lasagna, the chicken Marsala and the gluten free pasta. You can share the food as the portions are big. This place has been on my list for a while so I was excited to finally have time to go and eat here. I had high hopes for this place and I wish we had a better experience but If I could give this place a 0 I would. To start we had the lentil soup and the caesar salad. The lentil soup was puréed and tasted like a baby food. You know the saying "if it's not broken don't fix it"? Okay well, that applies to adding arugula onto a caesar salad. For entrees, we had the chicken parm and the gnocchi aurora pink sauce with chicken. You can never go wrong with chicken parm however we totally went wrong with this. There wasn't much flavor between the sauce and the chicken. The gnocchi aurora had an overly excessive amount of parsley on it which took away from the taste of the sauce. The chicken on it also smelled like wet dog and made us nauseous from the smell. We were excited to order dessert but after how terrible everything was, we just ended up paying and leaving. read more

Okay, don't get my three stars wrong... i really like this place. The atmosphere is very relaxing and family friendly. The outdoor seating is area is comfortable and you can get romantic vibes here for dates as well! The food hits the spot but is it the "best authentic Italian" food? No. Nonetheless, you will still see me buying their lentil soup and their octopus salad... those are the best i have tried I will still continue trying their pasta but they are hit or miss. The carbonara is great but the sauce is way too rich for my taste. The chicken parm has great sauce but the chicken is way too over breaded. read more

For several years, I have enjoyed eating at this authentic Italian restaurant and I have to say I never knew what I was missing up to that point. That is saying something since I eat out quite often. Sosta Caffe has a cozy and inviting atmosphere and the staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food here is amazing and Sosta has won awards as one of the best in three counties. The dishes are cooked to perfection, being real Italian, and I especially enjoy the spaghetti and meatballs, as well as many other dishes including chicken marsala, salmon salsa aurora as well as their sides. Their dessert choices are many and their tiramisu is to die for. Overall, the dining experience is exceptional and I would highly recommend Sosta Caffe to anyone looking for a delicious meal. read more

I've been coming here for quite some time. You used to walk in here and feel like you walked into a restaurant in Italy. Unfortunately, they seem to have had a change in staff and the food isn't the same anymore. The portions are smaller and the food quality itself is completely off. This place used to serve authentic Italian food with large portions. We visited recently and the food didn't settle right in our stomachs and we spent the next day throwing up. Sad to say I won't be coming back. read more

Nice personal and humongous but amazing cakes. Their ferrero chocolate Cale is a must, apparently one of their best sellers. Do keep in mind these cakes are for restaurants. So online you will see for 12 ppl, but in reality. If you take the pie to go, they're more like for 20ppl. Will wanna come back for dinner or lunch once COVID is out of the picture read more

We tried Sosta after begging referred by a good friend. Wow, what a surprise as coming from Boston I'm not a strip mall Italian restaurant type... the atmosphere, service and food were outstanding. We had the shrimp scampi and fettuccine Alfredo on pasta. The shrimp were crisp, fresh and perfect blend of garlic and flavor. The Alfredo was outstanding, creamy, flavorful and cheesy. The bread was hot, garlicy and crisp. Great service and reasonably priced. A decent portion not overly generous. I'll be back!!!! read more

I love it! But I give it 4 stars since the portion size dramatically change when you do a to go order. So the slices of cake or pasta order is particularly smaller. However, please please still go and check this place out I drive from Kendall to go her it's chefs kiss so good!!! I order to go a lot for special occasions or when a friend needs a pick me up and I go grab some slices or a casual Tuesday afternoon lunch and hang out there. Great food. After a particularly long week at work we just wanted to get out. I know, I shouldn't complain, it was a four day week due to the Labor Day Holiday but having Monday off just meant that we had to do 5 days work in 4 days. Anyway, getting out on a Friday night is just what the doctor ordered. We got here around 7:30 and they were a bit busy. At the time the only seats available were at the bar in front of the kitchen. We were completely OK with this but surprisingly other people didn't see this as ideal. The best thing that happened was that just after we sat down they pulled a focatta pizza with Ham and artichokes on it and we were sold. They tried to sell us on the specials but how could you turn down a such a great pizza. It turns out that everyone else thought that pizza was a good idea and it took a while to come out. We didn't mind and the time to decompress was welcomed. The staff did realize that the food was taking a long time and they did treat us well and kept the table appropriately lubricated with alcohol an a salad. The pizza, Fiocchi Capricini (yes, that is spelled wrong) was well worth the wait. Even with the delay the place still deserves 5 stars and we will be back read more

My new Italian spot. I've been four times in the past month and each time the food and service has been excellent. Pasta is delicious, Italian Nacho's a must have, Pizza both square crust or traditional is out of this world and the Octopus Salad was very good. The ambiance of the this place is really nice. There was one outdoor seating under a beautiful plant canopy but it was too hot that day. I went to dinner around 7pm on a weekday and there were about 4 more parties that arrived later. Social distancing. Fiocchi De Pera- First bite literally put a smile on my face. The portion appeared small but the cream was very heavy and will make you full. There area hints of pear which makes each bite uniquely sweet. Highly highly recommend! Vegetable Lasagna - This was baked perfectly! Amaretto Cake - This is not on the menu. We picked it from the display case. Their serving sides are HUGE for the price. Overall, it was pretty good. I wrote before about this hidden gem and how great it was, but frankly, we went back for a 2nd time and the food was just off! First, the waitress we had didn't even know what type of Seafood the Frutti di Mari Risotto included. She kept saying it had Salmon and fish. I told her that what she was describing to me was Fish not seafood, but she couldn't explain what was in it. When she bought out the Risotto it looked disgusting. the ONLY seafood it had was 2 shrimps and huge pieces of OCTOPUS!! If I had known this was the only thing the Risotto included, I would have never ordered it. YUCK!! Not pleasing whatsoever. What a gem! The service was excellent! Our waitress was so nice. We started off with the Italian nachos, a light refreshing appetizer! I have the manicotti, it was delicious the ricotta was perfect. Everyone loved their meal, my brother got the San Fran panini. The only thing we suggest is having the chips be an option, he was not asked what kind of chips he would like and the ones they brought out were not good,. We finished with the Ferrero cake, it was moist and the flavor was on point ! Highly recommend read more

We came here on Mother's Day hoping for great Pasta. Service was terrible, our food took an hour and while waiting we complained with the manager and there was no empathy on his behalf. His response was "it's Mother's Day it's like this every where." And walked away. While we were eating another table next to us arrived and their food came out in about 20 min. Well, because of time restraints on vacation, we'll only get a chance to visit here once....and it was excellent. Three layer lasagna was wonderful. Very rich and flavorful, made so especially by a great bechamel cheese layer reminiscent of that in pastitsio. Hints of nutmeg in every bite; a standout. My wife had the rigatoni with meatball. The red sauces were excellent on both dishes, but the stand out were the meatballs. 3 generous portions that could melt in your mouth if you desired, more likely from a veal and pork base than ground beef. Our server, Sophia, was a great addition to a wonderful meal. We highly recommend it. BTW....this place fills up quick on weekends, and take a sweater....it can be chilly inside. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Horrible service and overpriced food. Waited 20 minutes to be seen for dirty cups of water and then were served the wrong order after waiting 30 minutes . We were 2 of 8 guests in this tiny place. I never leave reviews - specially not bad ones. But this place should be put under new management. TO TOP IT ALL OFF -- MY WIFE'S LASAGNA CAME WITH A FROZEN CORE!!! ?!?! They microwaved a frozen lasagna. After complaining and getting it reheated. I spent quite some time today researching restaurants in the Pembroke Pines/Hollywood area. It caught my eye that Sosta Cafe had piled up so many 5 star reviews. I took the whole family out for dinner there to give it a try. It blew away my highest expectations. The best Italian around, hands down. We met the owner and his family, native Italians, and learned how they started out. Now they are about to expand into the suite next door. We were treated to the highest levels of service. Just finished our meal here. It was 5 of us and our table was in a separate dining area, very charming. Now to the food, niece and kids had soups to start, pumpkin and lentil, both were very good. Main courses were the meatloaf with caprese salad, very herby and hubby and I did not care for it. Niece and I had the pear and ricotta pillows which were good. Kids had manicotti and a panini both were solid. Had the Nutella cheesecake for dessert which was outstanding:)) Service was great and the staff was very nice. Will definitely return. read more

Ok so I've tried my fair share of salons but I came here off the reviews alone today. I am so pleasantly surprised at how amazing this place is. No fake review nothing like that. Went in no wait, girls were super friendly, my feet... this woman went in on them and they feel baby smooth! This is my favorite Italian place I've ever been to. I've been here about six times already and the good is consistent every time. It's a family owned business and real reasonable with the prices. You have to go early cause that are normally busy. It has an Italian ambience with great food, service and atmosphere. It's a Cousy place that I would call moms cooking. Owners are always on deck and stops by every table to make sure the expectations are met. 10 stars in my book and I'm Italian! read more

I check out the menu and then ordered "the Italian Nachos" from the café and I found it so yummy and delicious.The dish consists of tower of juicy tomatoes and mozzarella over toasted bread. The restaurant opens at 4:30 and it's located in the embassy lakes plaza shopping center. It's not very big inside and reservations are highly recommended. I didn't have any reservations so I got lucky when I arrived at 6:00 and was able to get a table for two. Soon after the restaurant started to get very busy. I noticed the huge wine collection they have and how every table had either a a glass of wine or a bottle of wine. Immediately I knew then I had to try a glass. We started with the burrata Siciliana. This was not what we imagined but it was huge and yummy. I was craving soup so we shared the pasta fagioli soup. This tasted exactly how my MIL makes it! And then I got the Pappardelle with salmon and shrimp. I can still taste how delicious this was. Every ingredient was perfectly blended together with a flavorful sauce. It was cooked to perfection. All the meals were incredibly delicious and huge! At first we felt rushed to order, but that changed after we got our appetizer. Our waitress was attentive and checked in on us from time to time. This is such a good restaurant and I can't wait to come back!

Hostess A escorted them to outdoor tables and provided them with menus. This pattern continued with subsequent arrivals. I observed that all the patrons she seated shared a similar skin tone to hers, unlike myself. Furthermore, after patrons departed from the indoor area, Hostess A personally re-entered the outdoor area to escort these new arrivals inside, despite their arrival significantly after mine. I found this particularly noteworthy given that two patrons were seated within arm's length of me, requiring her to navigate around me. My table was also positioned beside the entrance, a high-traffic area for incoming guests. While I acknowledged the possibility of oversight, I also reflected on the unfortunate phenomenon where individuals of differing skin tones are sometimes marginalized as in my case. I sat outside and while the bees was competing with my food. Mr. Jeh...consistently refilled my tea and checked on me frequently. The waiter also checked on me and acknowledged the bee issue. Mr. Jel ....was professionalism, kindness, and efficiency in attempting to rectify the situation were commendable. I would rate the waiter's quality as 3 out of 10, while Mr. jEl....service merits a perfect 10. Regarding the restaurant as a whole, I am profoundly disappointed. I had been enthusiastic about finding a tea house, as they are a rarity in South Florida.
