I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant with twins, and I just got a prenatal massage from Marina. I was so relaxed I fell asleep during the massage - and I've received massages before but never fallen asleep during. She worked out knots I've had for a couple of months. She made sure I was comfortable on each side, and I swear the table was the most comfortable I've ever been on. I was having nasty pain in my left shoulder and right hip, to the point it was difficult to bend over or walk. I walked out of SoulSpa feeling an inch taller and having no pain walking for the first time in weeks. What I was when masks, etc., were applied she would massage hands, arms, shoulder, scalp (if you wanted it) while waiting for the product to do its stuff. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect out of this service as they aren't like normal chain spas. But wooooow, this place was amazing. My boyfriend and I were up visiting from the bay and we had Anna Marie and Preeti. They were so awesome. Pretti is not for the weak, I got firm pressure and I almost regretted not paying the extra fee for deep tissue but she completely wrecked all the knots in my shoulders and back. I carry alot of my stress there and the tips of her fingers are incredibly strong she just relieved a lot of tension. I appreciated the pain because the spots that the hurt most were completely relieved by the time she worked her way back to them. If you like really strong massages I highly recommend her. Other than that the room was extremely relaxing but some of the music they played wasn't the best, but it wasn't a deal breaker my boyfriend and I were just laughing about it later. We received a 90 minute and for the price and quality I'd say it was more than worth it and you get the full time to get your massage. We will be back next time we're in town! Thank you! read more

She set me up with Marina for an hour and a half deep tissue massage. Marina could not have been better. Unbelievable masseuse, but also, a great human. I have been suffering major pain & discomfort in my neck & shoulder (which I thought was due to a car accident) and had been to an acupuncturist, as well as chiropractor & received treatment that helped alleviate my pain for short periods. Jamie was so kind and professional. She offers a wide variety of different types of massage from hot stone to sports therapy and so much more! I went with a deep tissue massage. OMGeeeeee! Where do I even begin?!? From the moment I walked through the door I felt completely relaxed and excited to see what was in store. I am 8 months pregnant and have always been hesitant when getting prenatal massages because sometime I feel the the therapist is nervous or may not know what they are doing but that was not the case here. I have had the blessing to get (2) 90 min pre natal from both Jamie and Marina and I left both feeling so relaxed, restored, and connected with my baby. Each one has there on style of movement but let me just paint you a picture of how it all went down....It started out by laying on my side on the most comfortable massage table (no joke) with the right amount of down pillow and bolsters in between my arms and legs..they each started the massage by setting an intention for the next 90 mins as I inhaled and exhaled the wild orange aroma I had picked out. Relaxing music in the background as I literally began to melt into nirvana. My body was holding so much tension in my hips and shoulders and they gave me the right amount of pressure and stretching to release it all. I truly felt like they were so connected with what was going on in my body that it almost made me emotional...in a good way. I needed that touch, release, and space to get my mind and body back together. At the very end of my massage they ended with a mini sound healing...it was the sound bowls vibrations up and down my body...I literally felt high...it was pure magic. After the massage had ended I enjoyed a fresh squeezed ginger shot that made me feel completely revitalized. I cannot wait to come back for more! read more

It was a mediocre (at best) massage. I am a massage therapist and teach massage at a school. Quality was similar to what I see in students in school. Incomplete strokes, missed parts of my body including an area I specified as my focus area, inconsistent pressure, etc. When I shared my feedback to the receptionist there was no attempt to rectify. I received a 90 minute prenatal massage with Marina as a gift. BEST. GIFT. EVER. At the time i was 36 weeks pregnant and so sore and so uncomfortable.... but Marina's massage left me feeling absolutely amazing! I regularly get massages both in Reno (the Peppermill) and on vacation but i swear my massage with Marina was the BEST massage i have EVER had. She is so soothing and her massage doesn't feel formulaic, if that makes sense. It's like she is working with and responding specifically to your body and muscles versus following a conventional massage formula and it really makes all the difference in the world. Not only is she herself a wonderful masseuse, but the bed is like a cloud... like other reviewers i also fell asleep, which really surprised me. On top of all that, she uses specific blends of DoTerra oils unique to your treatment and a variety of soothing techniques that set the massage apart. SoulSpa is located in an old house near the river, it was a quiet and serene atmosphere. i have already recommended Marina to anyone who will listen and I am definitely done with Peppermill massages which are more expensive but not even half the quality. read more

I scheduled a prenatal massage with someone else & unfortunately with it being flu season she got sick & had to cancel the morning of our appointment. I called SoulSpa and spoke with Jamie & was fortunate enough to find an opening for the very same day. Jamie was a sweetheart & made scheduling a breeze. Jamie mentioned that you can park right in front of the building. This was my very first prenatal massage. My massage was with Marina for 90 mins. Upon arrival I was greeted by Marina & like many other reviewers she has a calming & positive aura about her. All she asks is that you keep an open conversation during the massage. She used doTerra essential oils before she started the massage which was very refreshing. The bed was warm & cozy. My massage was wonderful & she made sure I was ok with the pressure. I don't fall asleep during massages but halfway through the massage I did. At the end she sprayed a refreshing mist. I highly recommend SoulSpa. Now if only I was a local I would have scheduled my next massage. When I come back to Reno, I'll be sure to visit them again. read more

This was the first time since I moved to Reno in 2020 that I received a facial - and when I went to Soul Spa, I was beyond impressed! I received the 75 minute facial with Leah. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing from moment of arrival, and I felt comfortable the entire time. The facial treatments were high-quality and did not feel rushed or cut short. You can additionally request pore extraction, which is included, or you can choose to leave it out. Also part of the experience were scalp, shoulder/neck, arm, and foot massages, which were great. Leah had excellent technique and etiquette throughout. I left feeling refreshed and invigorated. The experience was so wonderful that I plan to return in the future. If you are looking to have a quality facial in a welcoming, calming atmosphere, then I highly recommend you try Soul Spa. The only negative that comes to mind is the parking isn't the greatest, and parallel parking is necessary. Other than that, great experience! read more

I booked a 90min signature deluxe massage with Angela Schulz, and I can honestly say it was the best massage I've ever had! The staff who greeted us were all very warm and the place had an amazing vibe and smelt so good. The massage started out with a mini meditation to get your mind and soul ready to be worked on, which instantly puts you in a trance and then Angela started working her magic on me! I've never had a masseuse know every single pressure point that needed to be worked on and actually take the time to push into that point and really work it out. I was in a trance for the full 90mins. The only thing I will say is that the walls are pretty thin, so when someone comes into the waiting room, you can hear their conversation. Angela put on what I believe was a fan and it definitely lessened the voices coming from the lobby. Overall the experience was 10/10 and I will definitely be back! read more
