    Welcoming Birthday Card

When traveling, I always look for fresh seafood, and when I was in Portland, I got directed to try this place. I like to freestyle when I travel, but I also like some structure, so I made a reservation to ensure no delays prior to attending a concert not too far away. The staff & our server made this special occasion great, and the food recommendations were really good. We enjoyed the fact that our server recommended things that he had, but also paid very close attention to what other people enjoyed and also offered those recommendations even though they weren't his top ones. He asked all the right questions and we picked some solid items prior to our concert. We started with some warm focaccia bread served with whipped butter. We decided on a half dozen Oysters as we wanted to try all 3 varietys. They split it off for us with 2 separate plates and talked about each of the ones we were going to have. We also had the Salmon Tartare and the Dungenous crab roll filled with plenty of crab and not filler! We also had the Chicory Salad with fried oysters that they also split for us & the Chicory Salad & the Manila claims... also really good. Of course, we had a few cocktails... starting with the "Detour" which used Batanga blanca tequila with a hint of mint to it (elevated margarita) aslong with a few Pear Necessities. To end it all we went with 2 scoops of the "Marion Berry" sorbet. (I'm originally from DC so I had to get one)....Everything was great and I would definitely return!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a pretty big spot in downtown with lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat at the bar and the service was great. A bit fancy with some pricey caviar on the menu! While we were there, it was dining month - so we had a little prefix menu. Oyster trio to start with some bubbles! Wonderful start, but they sure give a lot of fresh horseradish! Salmon dip platter was perfect! Chicory Salad with fried oysters was good, but too much radicchio for me, so bitter! I loved the bread and it's complementary! Lemon Raspberry dessert was so-so. I would come back to try more!

    White Oregon Sturgeon Caviar

Everything feels so bespoke and intentional! The bread is baked by a pastry chef (so cute and FLUFFY!), the presentation for caviar is fun and unique. Every little touch is yummy and delish and the staff is delightful

The food is divine. Fresh... delicious. Oysters are incredibly rich. Eat here. The salmon tartare is special. Great service and worth every bite.

Seafood is the one thing I won't eat but ended up here before a show with my friend last night. I would come back here just for the burger- it was legit one of the best I have ever had in Portland and I eat out frequently. Perfectly cooked, huge patty and amazing flavors. The fries were stellar too. My friend had the Caesar salad with chicken, I tried the chicken and it was also to die for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is beautiful and the staff are very nice and efficient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great place if you're ever in downtown Portland.

I made a reservation for two in the bar space for a nice meal before a show at the Keller Auditorium. Immediately upon entering, we were warmly greeted and shown to our seats. The staff are highly skilled and made us feel welcomed. Robertito was our server, but I missed our bartenders name. (Lovely gentleman with dark hair and intricate arm tattoos) I had a gin martini, and my friend and I shared the Feast and also some salmon dip. Everything was absolutely delicious! The cocktail was perfect and the shrimp were succulent. Honestly a huge highlight was their garlic focaccia bread! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is also very nice. Modern, but not cold.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be back for another martini!

    Clam Chowder - Bowl

Came to Southpark Seafood around 4pm for a very early dinner on a Sunday and we were seated immediately without a reservation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was quick and friendly, atmosphere is light and airy but a little bland.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. My fish and chips were some of the best I've had outside of Alaska. The fish was flaky and tasted very fresh, the breading was VERY light. The fries were tasty and the tartar sauce was especially good as well. My husband had the clam chowder and while he enjoyed it, he said it was unusual. The chowder has gnocchi in it, which he said was not unpleasant but he wasn't sure it added to the soup and he wasn't thrilled with the mussels that were in the chowder as well. Overall it was a pleasant meal and I would definitely return for the fish and chips.

Southpark Seafood (Portland, Oregon) -- February 18, 2026 Stopped in for dinner around 6:35 PM and overall it was just an average experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice and comfortable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was efficient and friendly enough, but the food didn't really live up to expectations. We started with the three-oyster sampler ($12) and unfortunately the oysters were tiny and lacked flavor. Definitely not a strong start. Next was the shrimp cocktail ($16) which was pretty decent -- nothing memorable but solid. For my entrée I ordered the Dungeness crab roll ($26) -- basically a crab version of a lobster roll. It actually tasted good, but it was absolutely tiny. Maybe three-and-a-half to four inches long at best, and just not enough food to justify the price. We also ordered the fish and chips ($21) which that night was cod, and this ended up being the highlight of the meal. The fish was fresh, perfectly fried with the right amount of breading, and came with tasty coleslaw and decent fries. Easily the best thing we had. Drinks were Diet Cokes ($8 total). Overall the place looks nice and runs smoothly, but most of the food was pretty average and the portions -- especially for the price -- were disappointing. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back. If I did return, I'd probably just order the fish again and try something different.

Had the crab cocktail and I wouldn't say that it was much better than canned crabmeat. The clam chowder was good, and if you like huge, fat clams, you'll love this. I'm used to tiny pieces of clam chopped up so I didn't appreciate a mouthful of clam like other clam loves may enjoy. This place was good, but it wasn't my favorite and I wouldn't need to come here again.

Sat at the bar, service was amazing! Started with fresh pacific oysters, there were three different types, all delicious, especially with the toppings served with it. Next I had a cup of fresh clam chowder and instead of potatoes it has gnocchi in it! Oh, my! It was so tasty and filling! Sometimes reservations are needed, if going with a fairly big group, make reservations! The restaurant has plenty of seating, but because of the amazing food, it stays busy!

We made a reservation online and only counter seating was available, but when we arrived, they were able to seat us at a table--such a nice surprise! We ordered the fish and chips, but asked to sub a salad for the fries. The server said he'd check, and they were able to do it, though we weren't told about the extra $4 charge. Luckily, the salad was worth it--fresh greens with pistachios added a nice crunch. The fish was a good size, crispy, and fresh. We also really enjoyed the coleslaw and tartar sauce. We also tried a cup of clam chowder because we saw it came with gnocchi. When it arrived, though, there was no gnocchi and the portion felt really small--we were done after just a few sips. Thankfully, our server fixed the issue and brought out a properly portioned cup with gnocchi this time. It made a big difference--the gnocchi was soft and flavorful, and the clams were fresh and clean (no sand at all), which we appreciated. Overall, a solid seafood spot with some service hiccups, but great food and good recovery. Would love to come back and check out their 15% off Happy Hour deal next time!

I love this spot. We strolled in while charging our car nearby. The bread is to die for with amazing service. We did the champagne and oyster combo with rose! Next time you're in the area definitely stop by.

The restaurant is within walking distance of downtown hotels, so I enjoyed the walk over while taking in a little of the city. As soon as I walked in, I loved the atmosphere. I kept it simple and ordered the chef's seafood special, and wow...it completely caught me by surprise. It reminded me a little of crawfish étouffée, but with more seafood and its own unique flavor. The drinks were excellent too (sorry, no pictures because I was too busy enjoying them), and the service was friendly from start to finish. There are about eight food concepts in total on the perimeter of the building with a main bar in the center. I went with a rice bowl from one spot and had a few of the mini donuts from the other location for dessert. I also saw a Thai food concept, a smoothie bar and a ramen spot. There are a lot of different seating options available, but none of them are particularly comfortable. When I went for dinner, the place was only about half full and the trash area was a little bit unkempt. Parking is available on the street or in adjacent lots but everything is paid during typical daytime hours from about 8 AM until about 7 PM.
