The chicken had so much oil, I could almost open my own restaurant. All bs aside, This was such an absurd amount of oil I doubt I will come back to this establishment. Came into this location for some late night karaoke and was immediately greeted aggressively at the door. We had called ahead to make sure they were open and able to accommodate a group of 10 and was assured it could be done. Only to find a host/server that was not friendly at all. As for the rooms, it was nice. Large and great song selections. A little dark for my liking but not a deterrent. The food was great. Finally came here to try with my friend to actually try the Karaoke side of the restaurant. Had came here once before because Yunnan Tasty Garden next door was under renovation and their dining room was closed. I believe they're the same owners going by that because the kitchen was seemingly connected. Anyway, back to the karaoke. We had walked in on a Friday night wanting to karaoke. They have it priced in two different ways. Hourly (Small at $58/hr up to 8 people, Medium at $68/hr up to 10 people, and Large at $88/hr up to 20 people). Package [essentially hit this minimum and room is free] (Small at $288, Medium at $358, or Large at $568 in food and drinks) Upon arrival, we were told the small was reserved so we were given the medium at small cost. All rooms are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We picked the package as we were planning on karaoking all night (except they close at 2am, kitchen last call 130am). All the foods were really good. The DRY POT CATFISH IN PARCHMENT PAPER CHILI STYLE came with a small fire stove which caused it to bubble and splatter all over the place. Skewers were good, even when cold. The appetizers which came first were pretty good too. Unsure why but the karaoke room was incredibly cold. I typically like it colder but luckily I had 2 jackets in the car which i grabbed for my friend and I. If it wasn't for the jackets, we would have gave up way earlier. Even near the end, close to closing, i was a bit cold WITH a jacket (but i was also wearing shorts and flip flops) The karaoke selection is pretty decent. Lots of chinese artists (for obvious reasons). We didn't touch the english selection but korean seemed quite limited. Their karaoke system is probably the best out of the ones in the area. Sensitive mics and wireless making so you don't get tangled in wires and can sing more naturally (vs shouting/yelling). The song selection is quite weird. Some older popular songs weren't available somehow. Also, the songs aren't organized and can vary from original MVs to old concerts to new(er) concerts. Some of the grayed out songs just means it hasn't been downloaded yet but if you select it, it'll get it by the time its played. Not the easiest to select songs as the tablet is in the corner of the room. Whatever QR/app thing link does not work. You have to physically get up and walk over to the tablet to select songs unlike other karaoke places with a remote at least Overall, not bad. Was great for us two who primarily wanted chinese music selection anyway. Service was not bad. They came in periodically to check on us and even suggested to hit minimum by ordering food to take home instead of the room + food/drink cost because that would've been higher in the end. Definitely need to prepare a bit better for the cold room. Aside from this place, honestly i don't know any other chinese karaoke place in town. read more

We weren't hungry just needed a place to kick it at midnight. I had to go delivery before but never had the chance to dine in. Perfect business hours for our needed. The skewers: chicken gizzard, beef, plain bun, lotus root were excellent! Numbing spicy duck blood made me drool! While we were there there were couple of parties singing inside their karaoke room. I imagine could be a perfect spot for bday or any celebration with friends singing and enjoy great food together. We had 2 beef skewers left so I took it home. I've only been to Space BBQ & Karaoke twice and both times, it's because my friends wanted to karaoke. You're probably wondering why we chose this place instead of another karaoke place, right? Well, we wanted to eat too and according to my friend, their food is decent here (for a karaoke place) compared to the other joints. They have three private rooms for karaoke -- two small and one large. Their small rooms aren't too bad, it could fit like 5-6 people maybe? If you have a larger party then the large room is substantially bigger. Plus, I believe there are some songs that you can't access in the small rooms but in the big room (VIP room), you can access all songs on their system. VIPs get everything, I guess. They do have a thing where if you order a certain minimum on food/drinks, the room is free. If you don't hit the minimum, you gotta pay for the food and the hourly rate on the room. For food, my friend mainly ordered all the dishes but I've tried one of their chicken hot pot/soups and it was pretty delicious. I've also tried their clams, lamb/cartilage skewers, mushroom and lamb, pork feet, and some fried bread with condensed milk. Everything that I have tried is pretty good -- they do use spices though so if you're not spice eater, beware. Their skewers use a spicy cumin mix, which is delicious but their skewers are a bit tiny and skimpy :( I wish the pieces were bigger and more traditional. Eat the skewers when they get to your table though, they are not good when they're cold. They also utilize sichuan peppers so if you don't like the numbing feeling, better beware! My only gripe about this place is their lack of alcohol selection. They mainly carry sakes and while the yuzu sake is absolutely delicious, I wish they had more options. Maybe some soju options would be nice. I also wish they had better beer selections... Service wasn't bad either but sometimes, they are forgetful. You gotta remind them and nag them sometimes. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back. Oh yeah, if you have friends that love Chinese songs -- this is the place. They have a lot of them! I passed by this restaurant / bar / karaoke, when it was too late to be seated at sushi neko. I quickly realized that it was new so I was like, "why not give this place a try." First off, we had to ask two different employees if they served rice (it wasn't on the menu) the first employee said that they only had bacon fried rice. Then we asked the second employee and he said they do serve white rice?? Second, our server didn't know which food was what. Pretty much we didn't know what we were eating. Third, my boyfriend was waiting by the registers to be rung up, but they were just standing there looking at him. There was a bit of a language barrier or it probably was just communication skills? Food (2.5/5) - Price was ok ($5 or less for a skewer). But majority of the food had the same seasoning... so they all tasted almost the same. The seasoning was overpowering for some dishes. But my most favorite would have to be the grilled oysters! I never been to a restaurant that grilled their oysters! Grilled oysters are my favorite! They add a bit of garlic on top and it tasted heavenly!! (This was probably the only thing that didn't have that seasoning). Overall, it was an ok experience. I may come back for the grilled oyster & if they improve their communication skills. But they are a new restaurant, so I'm hoping it was only because they were new! Went here at 9 pm with my friend and left at 11. Sure, we were talking a great length, but the staff seemed to forget about our table multiple times. and we were one of the only tables there. Every time we needed something we were forced to wave them down. The menu was a little different to us so we went safe and just chose the cucumber salad, kobe beef skewers, pork and vegetable fried rice, and the kobe beef skewers. Over the four different visits, we have tried lotus root, okra, mini bao, chicken gizzard, chicken cartilage, lamb, pork belly, pork cheek, chili seafood hot pot, chili noodle, and fried rice. Honestly, everything was very tasty. We have taken many different friends here. They always enjoy it. I do want to note that this last time we went, the server requested us to order two of each kind of skewer as a minimum, but we never had a minimum before that. At the table next to us, two travelers who had luggage with them and looked fatigued just obliged. They weren't able to eat everything and left different whole skewers here and there. It sucks they were made to order extra. I really like their juices. They have watermelon juice and kiwi juice, yum! You can order a glass or get a whole pitcher. I have ordered both. It probably didn't help that we went at 1 am. But in our defense, they close at 5 am, so I don't get why they gave us really bad service since we were the only ones in there (there were three of us). On top of that, they didn't even give us all of the stuff that we ordered and they didn't even tell us which skewers is which, so we were playing the guessing game here. Another thing, their skewers all tasted the same. They had the same dry seasoning for everything and it was so overpowering you don't even know which is pork or lamb. The only good thing I ate tonight was the grilled oysters. And their beef hot pot was okay. Don't be fooled with the pictures, it's only enough to feed one person, but with our order, we didn't even get the soda and rice that it said was supposed to be included with the order. We held on to everything, including menus, like our life depended on it and they were still dope. We ordered some hearts, gizzard, tounge, tendon, trotters, duck neck and my god... everything had such a soft texture to it. The spice was pungent, sour, aroma. Skewers were deeeeelicious. Have no complaints in this department. The hot pot was nice and creamy, sausage and plums were a nice bonus!!
