Walked in thinking perhaps not the best idea since there was only 1 other couple in here. Turned out to be pretty amazing Thai food. We purchased the spring roll, red curry, pad thai, and the last one I can't remember but I think it was E-1 on the menu (I really wish they would post a menu on their website). All of it was amazing. The spring roll was light, large, and tasty along with the peanut sauce. We chose a 3 out of 5 for the spice scale on the red curry and E-1, which had a kick but not spicy. I would recommend getting a 4 at least, if you like spicy foods. The E-1 was a ground chicken, with peppers and basil leaves. This was new to both of us and we thought it was really good. By the end of our meal, the restaurant had picked up service quite a bit and was about half full with more people walking in. I would recommencement this place to anyone looking for delicious thai food. My one suggestion would be to clean the floors. When we arrived the table they sat us at had a dead bug on the floor, which was a turn off for about 1 minute when we realized everything else was clean around us. read more

A week ago I was trying to decide where to take "mom" out for her birthday celebration dinner and we found Spice on the internet. We love the Magnolia Street area and she loves Thai food so we thought we would give it a try. It was a Friday night and we are a big family with 5 kids so I thought they would never get us in at the last minute. They gave us a fantastic table and when some delicious appetizers quickly hit the table it was clear that we hit a home run for mommas birthday dinner! We had a Coconut Curry chicken soup to share that all 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed. There was a great selection of entree options for the various tastes in my family. Spice is an all around great dining experience. The decor is clean and modern with vibrant colors. Service was attentive but unobtrusive. I had drunken noodles with beef (a favorite from other Thai places). It was prepared well and , like all other dishes I saw, was a pretty presentation. Noodles were larger than others I've seen, almost like dumplings. But the flavor was great with just the right amount of heat. Steamed potstickers were flavorful appetizers. This has to be my favorite restaurant, so far, since coming to Fort Worth. We were welcomed by very courteous waitresses and sat at a table near the bar. They were very quick to serve the MOST amazing food. We got the fried calamari as the appetizer, and it came with this sort of sweet dip. The presentation was wonderful, and it left you wanting more. ^_^ I ordered the chicken phad thai without spice, and the waitress was really light-hearted and joking with us. The phad thai had to be the best I've eaten, maybe it was the company or the waitress being so kind, but it really was my favorite phad thai. It wasn't too sweet and there was a very large portion, which I could take home to eat again. -I'm really glad I went, and I'll be seeing them again, soon!! read more

When I received my bill I was overcharged $18 instead of the menu price of $16 for Tom Yum Talay Hot Pot. I asked for them to fix this error and they acted like I was trying to steal from them. After some back and forth the manager reluctantly fixed the error and never apologized, instead he gave me this mean look like it was my fault. Spice has been our preferred "go to" for Thai cuisine here in Fort Worth since it opened s few years ago. The food has been consistently good. However, our most recent visit (Friday, September 14, 2018) the service was so poor, we question our return. We dined for lunch. though the restaurant was full, we were on the downside of the lunch rush. Being familiar with the restaurant and menu, we ordered as soon as we were seated, without needing to look at the menu. Then we wait. And wait. And wait. After an appreciable length of time, the drink orders arrive. And we wait. And wait. Normally, the salad, which come with the lunch, arrives soon after ordering. Our does not. We wait. And wait. Then, a server (not the one who took our order) brings out the entrees. of course not knowing who ordered what, places them incorrectly. The would not be such. big del, but hey, re we not going to get our salads? With great attitude, she brings them. The mood has now been set however. I really wanted it before the Meal. I forgo the salad and begin to eat the entree. Then the original waiter approaches to see if "everything is ll right"...No. No it is not, and I explain why. No apology. We go through several different servers from that point on. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses. The food served was good, but the whole lack of service and the attitude served spoiled the lunch. Will I return? That remains to be seen. A simple apology would have gone s long way to smooth the situation, but even the was not offered. read more

I am putting this experience down to growing pains having just opened and I hope things improve as I will definitely support a good Thai place. Service: Very poor, apps delivered after mains, no fork ("take it from the next table") general lack of training in service. Food: The green curry was pretty good, order 5 if you like it spicy, the 4 I had was medium. The Pad Thai was (as another reviewer said) way, way too sweet it also had lots of oil and lacked any of the depth of flavor you expect from good Thai food. My advice: Put a big effort into training that staff and taste the food coming out of the kitchen to make sure it is representing the best you can offer. read more

I came with a friend that recommended we go to Spice. I ordered the Pad Thai and after a bite could not eat anymore. I have never sent a dish back but for some reason it was making me feel nauseous. I told the waitress nicely that it wasn't what I was expecting and asked for whatever my friend had ordered. The waitress talked to the manager and told me they don't do exchanges and I would have to pay for the second dish. I clarified that I hadn't changed my mind but that I didn't like the taste of it. The manager then came and and told me that they will do it but that in the future, I need to know what I want. I had a few things to go and it was great. I asked for extra spicy 10 star but it really could of been alot spicier. I guess you need to dine in and ask for extra Thai peppers. Yesterday was supposed to be my 3rd visit. The previous 2 times I came for lunch the service was fine and the food pretty good. Yesterday I arrived with 3 other colleagues. The place was packed since it was lunchtime and we couldn't see any empty tables, however, there was a sign, "Please wait to be seated", so we stood at the entrance as instructed. No one came to greet us, no one acknowledged our presence for the first few minutes we stood there waiting. One waitress eventually glanced our way and gave a weak smile as she headed to a table to give them their checks. But that's all she did. After waiting for about 10 minutes my group decided to leave because no one came to tell us how long the wait would be, no one else ever looked our way again. Poor customer service! Not a huge fan of thai food but I really enjoyed my experience at spice! The food was exceptional and the servuce was more than sufficient. Our waiter was amazing and made it a point to take a good picture for us after the meal, even turning the camera around and taking one with him included haha. One of the more hip places to get Thai food I suppose but the dishes fall on the small portion side and can be a little pricy. Their pad see ew is a a dream here because they give you a proportionate amount of broccoli meat and noodles. The pad Thai here is only okay because I prefer mine with more peanut and tamarind sauce to give it a tangy taste. Their curries are flavorful and full of spicy goodness. Balance it out with white rice to both fill you up and cut some of the flavor. I would say their crab rangoons are a 3/5, nothing too special to them and the edges are usually too burnt rather than crispy and crunchy. Do be mindful of their spicy levels here because they mean business. 5 is only ordered by my boyfriend when he wants that face and head high you get from eating super spicy foods. Came here on a Sunday evening, the entire street seemed to be closed, but parking was super easy to find! Spice is a small restaurant but it does have a decent sized bar area. When we arrived, no one was there to greet us. We honestly didn't know what to do, there were other people there standing and waiting. I don't know if there is just an understanding that'll you'll be standing there until there's a table available, but it's confusing. We stood there for a while. While we were waiting the phones were going off like crazy and no one seemed to answer them. There was a gentleman left standing there who was trying to make a to go order and he had no clue what to do because no one checked up on the line at the table. We eventually got sat down at our table and got the menu. From the menu it looked like any other Thai restaurant. We ordered the pad see eww and pad thai medium spicy. Usually when you order medium its got the tiniest kick, but man our food was a lot spicier than we wanted. It did taste good however both of our noodle dishes had over cooked noodles. The plating was really pretty, I love how they made a cute flower from the carrot. I wish that our portions were bigger since they are charging $12 for a cheap noodle dish. For an Asian run restaurant the service was what I expected. I think I'll stick to my usual, cheaper, and friendlier Thai place. read more

About as good as you'll get around here. We spent years in SE Asia, and Asian restaurants as a rule just don't make food like they do over there, it's always a sliding scale of how Americanized it is. Basically, if you dropped a true blue Thai restaurant in the middle of an American city, the flavors and food would just overpower everyone. So there has to be that blend.
