My new favorite coffee spot in LA. I had their iced vanilla latte, and while I usually opt for hot coffee, this was the best iced vanilla latte I've ever had. They do something with their syrup I've never tasted before. The service is friendly and the space is very clean and inviting. I recommend this spot 100%. On another note, I notice they do a lot with charity so it's a business with heart. Always a good sign to me! read more

My go-to coffee place! So close to work and everyone is so friendly and helpful! My favorite is the SPL blend and I also like their dry cappuccino. Super yummy drinks here. Just a short walk away from my condo in ktown. Their pastries are just as good too. These guys are a solid cafe with people who really are passionate about good coffee, food & service. They are born & raised in LA and care about the community they're located in! Cool art all around and they've even built their own tables and displays with concrete! Like many reviews mention, the DRY KAPP is a must try! Also aesthetically pleasing / makes for a good insta story when stirring the ice coffee. Still my favorite of all time. Lovely new coffee spot bringing a much needed coffee shop to this corner of Koreatown. The owners are friendly and the coffee products are spot on. I always appreciate a basic Americano and their choice of beans really carries their line of espresso drinks. My wife tried an iced latte that made her double take and say, "Yeah, the type of coffee DOES make a difference." The cold brew is also refreshing, not too bitter, and has a sweetness that will convert even the anti-cold brew crowd. I also had a scone here that was great. They have fresh baked goods from the local Friends and Family bakery that they heat up for you. The decor is uplifting and bright and they also have a few parking spaces out front. read more

Definitely found my new favorite place to work at! It's a bit small but there's always a lot of seats and the coffee is good. I'd recommend the SPL blend for something sweet but their espresso is nice on its own too! The Wifi was fast and it was nice and quiet. read more

Cool spot. It's on my way to work and popped in because of their "Now Serving Bomb Ass Coffee" sign out front. Ordered a latte and it was great. Prices are better than the totally hyped places like Blue Bottle or Verve but the coffee is just as good. And this place has a personality which I like. We like this spot. Coffee is good, staff is friendly, establishment is comfortable although it still feels like they are filling in the spaces. Whatever bakery they use is phenomenal, such good quiche and pastries. I think this place will continue to get better it seems like it's a young business. It's my local coffee shop by work. The coffee is freshly brewed and made from locally roasted coffee. There are a few coffee and tea options, and all are good. This shop doesn't sell many specialty drinks, but the ones it does have are not overly sweet. My favorite is the Rosemary Bee. The owner is friendly. The baristas are not snobby or hipster like other trendy coffee shops. FYI: they only serve whole milk or soy milk. None of this skim/low-fat/almond milk business. read more

This cafe is a GEM of a find. Their drinks are delicious & price/size wise a much better value compared to other cafes in town (their "dry kapp" & matcha are my fav). Pastries are aplenty- always fresh & not overly sweet (their vegan spice cake & banana bread are SO moist!). This is also a quality study spot too- with plenty of seating, good lighting, quiet music, free wifi, plenty of outlets, early opening time, late closing time. Customer service is second to none- the owners are always extremely kind & accommodating, which goes to show how much they genuinely care about their customers. I LOVE this coffee shop. It's a brief walk from my apartment, so super convenient, but besides that their drinks are the best. I've had the dry kapp, which is apparently their "thing" and it's delicious, along with an almond milk vanilla latte and a matcha -- all so good. They don't have soy, so if you're adverse to almond/regular dairy, keep that in mind. I always take my drinks to go, so I can't speak much to its quality as a workspace, but the atmosphere is very cute and aesthetic. There's parking, and even though it's a small lot, both times that I've driven, I found a spot. Prices are also very reasonable for LA -- in the $4-5 range for everything I've had, and I'd way rather pay that to a small business than to Starbucks (and their drinks are way better, besides). read more

Really quick baristas way better than most of LA coffee places. Chocolate cookies that what I had along was fresh and not too sweet exactly as I like. I came here on a Friday morning and it was pretty empty, which was nice so I got to get my coffee quick before heading to work. I ordered the iced vanilla latte and it was the perfect blend that wasn't too sweet. The barista was super nice and friendly, which definitely made the experience better. I would definitely recommend coming here. They have plenty of seats if you want to come here to do some work or to catch up with a friend. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other items next time. read more

It's about time a nice coffee option is available in my neighborhood! SPL is a nice little edition to the block, love having a close cafe that makes a good latte, but with that being said, the only problem I had was with the latte. My girlfriend and I came to SPL on a weekday at around 6pm, the place is really clean, nice setup with the tables, little bar area, and loved the pastry display. We ordered 2 vanilla lattes, and it took about 5 minutes which was perfectly fine, I prefer when some takes the time to make a perfect pull, and not rush steaming the milk. The lattes came out very nice, the pull was perfect on the shots, very smooth, and the milk was steamed just right, but for some reason my girlfriend and I both said the same thing about 3 sips in, "Does this taste like chocolate raspberry?" We were expecting vanilla lattes, so it definitely was a little disappointing. Im not sure if its the espresso its self that just had strong raspberry notes, or if the guy accidentally added raspberry syrup or what, but we were having trouble enjoying it, as we are not really fans of raspberry, but besides the minor flaw, the lattes were really well made, we really enjoyed this place, and will definitely be back again. Found this place while driving around..super glad I did. Cold brew for $3.50 is GOAT! Jonathan (barista) is a really chill, nice and helpful dude! He definitely does not have the pretentious, snobby vibe that many baristas have in LA. The interior is very aesthetically pleasing and just has a really nice vibe to it. Customer service is 11/10. I go here to study a lot and its. small space. With that being said, customers that come in parties of 2 or more end up using multiple tables instead of sharing so that's one downside (not the fault of the business though). I don't normally drink very much coffee but I can't study outside of cafes so I order the teas or lemonade. Both refreshing but slightly pricey. I tried their vanilla latte once and it was so goood!!! Remind you, I don't usually like coffee. But wow. I would go back for the vanilla latte. read more
