All you can eat may be wasted on those who can't put away large quantities of food, but ya girl can put it down, and definitely ate more than $23 worth. A deal this good can only really be found the further out you go from the city center, and I was more than happy to take the hour long subway ride to Flushing for this veritable feast. It was fully packed the Wednesday night I visited, so I can only imagine what the waits must be like on weekends. One great thing about hot pot is that you can start eating pretty much as soon as you choose your soup base, and they were quick to get us ours. I noticed some reviewers complaining that the soup bases were flavorless but I found the miso broth plenty flavorful. The meats and vegetables you cook into the base also infuse some flavor into the soup, not to mention the sauces you get at the sauce bar. Speaking of, I often judge a hot pot spot by their sauce bar, and this was was pretty good. It's no Haidilao, where they offer actual appetizers at the sauce bar, and I found there to be a dearth of truly spicy options, despite there being several variations of chili sauce, but all in all not bad. None of the sauces had a real kick to them, save for the chopped up green chillies. Included in the AYCE are salads, several different types of noodles, several types of fish cake, mushrooms, lotus root, bamboo, squash, and other carbs like rice cakes. I got the $7 white fish add on and my friend added some meats to hers so we could get more protein in, and the portions were hefty. One thing that was noticeably missing for me were quail eggs, one of my favorite hot pot ingredients. The place is clean, and the food turns over quickly, guaranteeing you a fresh batch. I also had the lowest expectations of the soft serve, but the pineapple dole whip and matcha soft serve were winners, so much so that I went back for seconds. Great value if you enjoy hot pot.

5/5 All the veggies, noodles, miso soup, kimchi, sauces were great as usual. Will always love variety of everything. White fish & top neck clams -$6 mussels $4.75 5/5 dole pineapple swirl - firm, tart, amazing 3/5 strawberry watermelon $5- a bit too watery 2/5 matcha, mixed & vanilla swirl- these were melting out of the soft serve machine, temp too high prolly or the dispenser machine isn't working properly? they didn't even form a proper swirl, it dripped on my hand & all over the cone

Honestly it's somewhat criminal that I've never reviewed Spring because she is truly everything to me. I've been coming here for years and it NEVER fails me. I love that they keep bringing in new things so that there's always something to be surprised by when I come (this time around, it was the squid fish cake and the taro noodles)! Basically you're paying for a hotpot buffet -- all you can eat veggies, noodles, and more. Pay extra for meat if you want it. The selection is unreal; there are so many different types of noodles, so many different fish cakes, so many leafy veggies, and an entire sauce bar for you to make your own sauces. And don't forget your matcha and/or dole pineapple soft serve to top off the meal. It's just perfect. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait, or come early/late for your meal! The line definitely does move, though!

I love shabushabu. My very 1st time at spring was in Boston. I was shocked to found out that it was Acye (except for meat). Now fast forward to my time in NYC. Still is good and reasonably priced. Everything was super delicious. I do miss enoki and the fish ball with fish eggs in it. Matcha ice cream was still good. Good service and spacious location

This is my all time favorite shabu shabu or hotpot place EVER. Its super vegan friendly- all the meat is served separately and additional charge. They have a wide variety of noodles at the noodle bar, soooo many fresh veggies to choose from, lots of tofu and fishcake as well. TONS of mushrooms! Their Mala broth is amazing, you can ask for a side of mala hot sauce, there is so much flavor you do not even need dipping sauce! The vibe is a fast casual place in the mall. The price is also a steal at $24 per person- back in the day it was $12!

Pros: - quickly seated despite having a larger group and a slight waiting time. - self-serve ice cream !! - servers are friendly and very quick. - self-service sauce station, I love experimenting and mixing them Cons: - customers will "cross-contaminate" the tongs with other veggies or certain seafoods (fish cake, imitation crab, lobster balls, etc.) [not a super big deal personally, but this is just to note for others]. Comments: - went on a Monday (it was a holiday) around 7:40PM, there was a wait of about 15-20 minutes for a group of 5, we were seated around 7:55PM. - it can get very loud when it's very busy, and I mean VERY loud. - I've been patronizing this place since it first opened and still haven't really had any issues.

I love going to hotpot places especially when they have all the ingredients that I like using for my sauces and Spring did not disappoint! One thing that I like about spring is that all the veggies and fishballs are self serve. I know that it is usually unpopular for people to not eat the beef products, but I've always been more of a fishball girl so it works out perfectly for me. We ordered a variety of dishes for the table to share as well as walked around and picked up a couple individual items. The quantity of options that they have is great! I was full before I even cleared the plate of veggies and fishballs that I had gathered! The servers were very attentive and asked us if we wanted more soup when it was running low. The place is very big (hence the large selection) and we even got free dessert at the end (they have a soft serve machine!).

This review is late in the making as I've been a loyal customer since they first opened years ago, and to this day I love this place - it never disappoints! Lots of hot pot places in Flushing has come and gone but this one is still packed on weekend dinners and especially during holidays ($23.95 for dinner/weekends/holidays, weekday lunch $20.95, children ages 0-3 is free, children 4-10 is $1.25 x age). Sweet deal, huh? Environment is large, spacious and clean. Service is fast, efficient, and friendly. This is shabu shabu without the extra fluff. I always just eat whatever is available at the buffet since I'm can do without the meat/seafood which can be ordered in addition, since they have the largest variety of veggies I've ever seen, good variety of soy products, variety of balls (meat/seafood/etc), rice cakes, fish cakes, fresh eggs (make your own soft boiled egg) and noodles. Rice and soup you can get yourself too. What I really dig are the small individual pots, so it's great for large groups where you may not feel comfortable sharing the same pot. Eat and cook whatever your heart desires. I always get the spicy pork bone pot, it's decently spicy since I'm a spice addict. They also have other pot broth bases, check out their menu/website. If your broth runs low just ask the waiter/waitress to help top it up. Bonus: soft serve ice cream station :0) Please note: don't waste food! I hope they stay open and popular forever!!!

Tl;dr: One of my favorite hot pot restaurants in the city. Affordable with good variety and quality. Most bang for your buck in terms of price and what they offer, which includes a wide selection of vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, tofu, and fish balls, which all feel like they're pretty good quality. Meat is a la carte, but prices are about $5 per plate and reasonable for how much they give. Sauce bar has good variety. Vanilla and matcha soft serve and pineapple dole whip are a great way to close the meal. Service ranges a little, but they are mostly attentive. Have to give some slack because it can get busy. The facility is clean, and considering the amount of people that go, is quite orderly. Overall, well organized and managed. Is it the most extravagant place? No. But it is delicious, offers a lot, and punches higher than the cost. Only qualm is that the mala broth isn't that spicy/numbing. May have to specifically ask for more spice.

Favorite comfort spot for my girlfriend and I. It's a fun experience being able to just grab whatever food you want to cook in your hotpot. The highlight and differentiator for me is the soft served ice cream machines here. I always look forward to getting the green tea ice cream after a few rounds. I've come here probably at least 10 times in the last two years and I don't think I've ever had any negative experiences here. Staff is always helpful and attentive. Place always seems clean. It's also fun seeing them add more buffet selections over the years.

We came here for lunch and it cost $47.90 for two adults. We ordered two hot teas (which were free) and ordered a side of beef ribeye for $5.25, paying in total $53.15 before tip. Service was great, we were seated right away and our server Ingrid Valentina was very sweet and helpful! Tables were constantly being bussed which was a nice observation. This place is a great value if you love fresh vegetables, noodles, and fishballs. Meat and seafood are an additional up charge on a different menu. After the beef ribeye we were totally fine loading up on the "free items." There's a great sauce bar where you can create your own condiments and dipping sauces. It varies from fresh herbs like spring onions, cilantro, to ponzu, soy sauce, chili oils etc. the combinations you can create is endless. Fresh veggies were regularly replenished and there were some interesting flavors of fishballs which questionable (there was a cheese fishball that tasted like Kraft cheese stuffed inside and it was our least favorite ball lol). Last but not least I love the self-serve ice cream machines! You can get a sugar cone or cup of either vanilla, green tea, swirl, or Dole Whip pineapple. This was an added bonus since most Asian restaurants desserts are non-existent or they are extremely disappointing. I would definitely come back again, we had a great lunch here.

This is where you can get AYCE Japanese hot pot starting from $19.95!! We came all the way to Flushing for their hot pot as we craved something warm and healthy on a NYC cold day. They offer UNLIMITED veggies, noodles, and fish cakes, all nicely displayed in the buffet bar. Although meat and seafood are à la carte, the pricing is still affordable, ranging between $4 to $5.25. Each plate had a decent amount of meat (4oz). My favorite was the beef ribeye as it had the perfect marbling. Soft drinks are sold separately, but you get FREE refills throughout the meal. Lastly, don't miss out their self-service soft serve bar. We got green tea ice cream and dairy-free pineapple dole whip to cool down the palate. Soft serve is extra satisfying after having hot pot. I often worry the hygiene and freshness of ingredients at AYCE spots, but this time I was 100% satisfied by how clean the restaurant was. While the restaurant was really busy on weekends, their service was still very attentive as the servers kept refilling our drinks, broths and cleaning up the empty plates.

We got here relatively early late lunch. We waited less than ten minutes for a table for 3. Service was quick and attentive. THERE ARE SO MANY CHOICESSSSS! We each ordered a different broth. The meat is fresh. If you are new to the concept the choices of sauces and everything can be overwhelming. But overall this is a great hot pot spot. The food is fresh. The price is reasonable. The ice cream is delicious! It's casual and bright.

The prices on the windows are very confusing and more like false advertising for me, the lower prices are for the members which we're not since this is our first time and definitely our last, unless our daughter wants to come here again. So the price is the more expensive one. For me, I prefer straight forward pricing, so this didn't give me good vibes, it's not the money, just the way they advertising and we have to know what we can only have with the price we chose. The restaurant just gives us the specific menu for what we selected to have then we don't have to be denied for what we chose because we selected gold instead of top of the line menu. The place is clean and nice. For $78/per person and only have Australian Wagyu Beef (not really Wagyu) then it's over priced. We did have some premium beef which I liked because of the marble of fat on the beef quite tender and tasty, but only a sampler or whatever they called it. Service with one person is quite inadequate but she's very attentive and pleasant, since she had to run the whole restaurant, sometimes forgets things. The tomato broth was good and everyone liked it. The seafood plate is OK and our sweet shrimps are sweet. Some snow crab legs, jumbo shrimps, fish fillets, nothing to make me go wow. The appetizers tempura is crispy and good. The raw octopus is tasty. The vegetables are fresh and clean. After they denied me the premium beef sampler, I let my daughter to order everything else and I just enjoyed with the family. My daughter seemed to be happy and ate a lot, so I was happy. I've eaten enough shabu, hot pot to know that Australian or American Wagyu are overrated, many of them are tough and chewy, not as tender as normal ribeyes or Brisket that I like. This restaurant Wagyu beef does have marbles of fat in it, so it's tender and not so chewy. So, for the GOLD menu, I don't think it's worth the $78 but for special occasions, it's OK. I just don't like the confusion of many menu, many prices, and not getting my own menu and get denied for something on the menu because I didn't pay enough.

I prefer individual pots, which I've had at same chain in California. The decor and service were both decent, but nothing stood out. We were split into two tables of four even though I noticed a private room that remained unused during our visit. Overall, the experience was okay, but I don't think it was worth the price.

However, when we arrived, nobody was at the front counter, so we walked to the inside counter to ask to be seated. He came over looking very busy and disheveled, and when my mom politely asked if we should wait here to be seated, he rudely responded, "Well if there's no one at that counter then you come to this counter if you see the sign." Meanwhile... there was no sign saying that when we left. My mom was just asking a simple question, so the attitude was unnecessary. Hot pot ingredients available are quite extensive, similar to other purely hot pot places I've been to so it's solid variety for $40. They also of course have a sauce station. Cooked foods includes lots of lobster - fried, steamed, lobster fried rice, etc. Pretty cool. I liked that the steamed lobster was just steamed with no salt or anything, so I was able to give some to my very young kiddo. Service was alright. They were kind and took away our used plates quickly, but they didn't refill our hot pot quick enough and the pot started burning and it smelled very very burnt for a few minutes. We were worried the fire alarm would go off tbh. Something very similar happened a couple tables over. For dinner service, they offer the mini tubs of Haagen Dazs ice cream. For lunch, they only offer regular scooped ice cream, but the chocolate ice cream they gave us was delicious. Place was spacious with lots of seating, they have several private rooms as well ranging from 10-20 people. The bathroom was in very poor condition though, like leaking toilets, broken doors, etc. Bathroom definitely needs an upgrade or just fixing.

Those trays of freshly cooked cheese lobsters were gone in minutes! There was also peking duck, sushi, grilled fish, dessert, so a bunch of options for everyone. Service was pretty good, they came frequently to clean our plates and bring fresh ones. For 4 people, it came out to around $300 after tip on a Friday night. I know weekend pricing is a bit more. Definitely a place to check out if you're a big seafood fan!

On a recent cold and frigid night. My wife and I had a hankering for sushi and sashimi. We were in…read morethe area and based on their stellar reviews were decided to try out Yoi Sushi Japanese. We are very familiar with the area and must have walked passed this neatly tucked away gem without ever noticing it. Our son had mentioned that he and his friends have been going to a sushi place near Asian Jewel, our former dim sum go to place. When we sat down to order, my wife and I were quite impressed by how clean and cozy the restaurant was. Kind of on the small side with a few tables on the ground floor level. The menu offered cooked food as well as fresh sushi. We decided to start with the sushi & sashimi combo. They also offered a sushi or sashimi a la carte menu where you can choose to order by the piece. I believe that if you choose one of their standard menu sushi or sashimi orders and pay with cash, the a la carte price per piece of sushi / sashimi is only $1.35 / piece! Well we were famished and in addition to the sushi & sashimi plate we ordered two rounds of sushi & sashimi a la carte. Their salmon and yellow tail was so fresh and so scrumptious as was the sweet shrimp. The tuna was also very yummy and did not disappoint! When all was said and done we were quite happy with our experience with Yoi Sushi Japanese. I highly recommend Yoi if you're anywhere near Tangram Mall or Asian Jewel and have a hankering for yummy sushi. They also offer cooked food as well as ramen bowls.

The shrimp tempura roll has the perfect amount of breading and the salmon tastes fresh! The interior is clean and I love the decor. I believe they have an upstairs seating area too. The staff is also very friendly.

The menu should be revised so customers who can't read Japanese know exactly what they're ordering. For the 180 dollars I spent this was an extremely disappointing experience. A majority of the food received did not look like the photos on the menu. The meat was low quality and seemed cheap. The portions were tiny and you have to keep ordering multiple of the same things. Unlike Korean bbq or Chinese bbq when you're ordering the portions given are just sample size. 3 to 4 small cut portions of meat. The chicken wings served look nothing like the photos and are honestly really bad. When checking out my bill had an extra drink on it that I never ordered and it took 15 mins to be corrected. It felt like they thought I was lying and needed to review video or something because I had 3 other waiters come talk to me while I waited for a resolution. The best part of the experience was the marshmallows we got at the end and the free fruit provided but I wouldn't recommend this spot to anyone nor would I want to come back in the future If these are the standards the restaurant goes by

Finally gave it a try after walking past many times. Not a bad price for all-you-can-eat. However,…read morethe beef and fish were not the best quality, and the portions are quite small--you need to order multiple portions of the same item for a group of four. We ordered the chicken wings for the kids, and they were pink both times. They offered to remake them, but we just gave up. The meat quality is worse than any good Korean barbecue I've had. Would not return.

Check in at the kiosk when you arrive and stay close by--we missed our name being called and had to wait another 30 minutes after an already 2-hour wait for our party of five. Once seated, we understood why it's so popular. The restaurant features a beautiful water wheel, multiple levels of seating, and a lively atmosphere. You customize your meal by choosing your broth, meats, vegetables, and sauces. We started with the spicy broth, but it was overloaded with chili peppers for our taste, so we switched to the herbal broth, which was rich, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. The fresh ingredients were the highlight. We enjoyed the water spinach so much that we ordered three servings. Other favorites included the milky beef, lotus root, beef balls, bean curd sheets, and several other fresh selections. The extensive sauce bar let everyone create their perfect dipping sauce. Considering the generous portions and quality, the prices were very reasonable. The wait is long, but the outstanding food makes it worthwhile. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Flushing.

We were seated towards the back of the restaurant where we found a cockroach crawling on the bench seat. Also, the straw decoration on the bench seat was uncomfortable throughout the meal for me particularly. Our waiter, since it was our first time, helped us a lot in choosing the broth and its spice level (we ended up getting tomato and mild chongqing), as well as helping us with the amount of food we would be ordering (which turned out to be almost the perfect amount of food for our party of 6). Some of my favorite dishes that we got were the: - Wide Potato Noodles - Doesn't take that long to cook, SO chewy and nice, pairs well with any broth or sauce - Enoki Mushrooms - My favorite kind of mushroom, even more chew and great noodle substitute - Fried Breadsticks - Very crunchy and don't lose that much crunch whenever dipped or soaked in the broths. - Sliced Beef - Standard and really good meat option for hotpot. Some of their specialty beefs are also interesting, but I ended up just preferring this over those. - Beef Tendon - I lied. This was the best meat option. Extremely soft and melts in your mouth. Doesn't take more than 5 seconds to cook. Just so good. Even with everything that I liked, I didn't find that much that was superior to other hot pot places that I have been to. I did enjoy the food that we did have, but with the insane wait that I would likely have if I came back as well as the high price of the meal, I don't know if this would be worth coming back to in the future.
