There are too many excellent restaurants at this price point (or less) in Bozeman to waste 1 minute of your time here. We were in the restaurant 2 hours and had only an average meal to show for it. We were given the excuse that we were a 6 person table, so it took longer. Please, patronize feast, 14 north, blackbird, over the tapas, anywhere, but this place is not worth your dollar. As an aside, the wait staff was good to us, and was not the issue. The food and drinks simply could not get to the table. That level of service will lose you money in a place like Bozeman. read more

Lovely new spot in town! Airy loft-like interior with open kitchen. Try the tempura green bean app! They're ENORMOUS - 8+ inches long! We each had steaks which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Looking forward to our next visit. :) read more

Our service was fine, prices were high for what we got. Food was fair. The scallop meal is tiny with 3 scallops and not well flavored. The burger was way overdone...asked for medium rare and it was a hockey puck. Plus it was a child's sized burger. The fries are AMAZING here which is why I'm giving 3 stars. Daughter had salmon and it had an ash on the outside...not blackened, like it had been dropped in a campfire. But after she peeled that crust off it was delicious and it was laid on a beautiful sauce. Wandered in here while staying at the Westin. I've never been a fan of Westin operated restaurants and generally avoided this place on previous trips given that fact. On this trip however we met up here and were blown away. Food was excellent, had the mac and cheese as well as the brussel sprouts as well as some whiskeys and beers. Prices very reasonable and service above expectations. I also found out this is not run by the hotel which made sense given the quality, price and generous portion sizes. Really great location in downtown Bozeman next to the Element hotel. We were dining with a 2 and 4 year old, and this is definitely not what I would call a "kid friendly" restaurant, but they knocked it out of the park. We were able to customize some menu items, they were so kind to the kids, and overall had a great experience. Will definitely be back. read more

Not a Covid safe restaurant. Man who greeted us, talked with us, brought us to our table had his mask around his chin all night! Waitress did as well. They just did not care about protecting their customers. Food was not worthy of Bozeman restaurants which are very good. We went for the outdoor dining, it was a mistake. read more

The mussels as an appetizer were fantastic and a healthy portion. Our group of 4 had steak, pork chop, and scallops. They were all delicious and had very tasty sides. The dessert of beignets were out of this world- chocolate and custard dipping sauces were excellent. Nice atmosphere, especially if you get the nice sized, open style booth. We stayed at the Element in Bozeman (beautiful hotel btw) and decided to grab a bite to eat at the attached Squire restaurant (for convenience at first) and was utterly delighted at how delicious the food is! We ended up eating at the restaurant almost every day during our stay. This restaurant has the BEST ribeye around! The owner, Michael, is super nice and so personable. Hate to write this review but feel like I need to. We ordered the calamari and it was inedible. After my first bite I knew that it was not okay. I didn't want to be *that* person, but mentioned to my partner that maybe he should check it out before fully committing. He agreed that it was spoiled. We just couldn't finish our meal after that. There was some commentary that the calamari should be fishy/pungent and it should've been that way. But we eat calamari all the time. It shouldn't be that way. Again, don't want to be that person but I feel like I should make it clear that this wasn't just a taste preference. It was not okay to eat. All that said, our waiter was great. He was kind and attentive and immediately took care of the issue. The manager was similarly great. She came to speak to us, apologized, and offered a gift card to the restaurant for us to come back and try something else. They were both professional and honestly couldn't have handled it better even though it was clearly not their fault. The issue was in the kitchen alone. I would come back again because the service was great and I imagine the other food is good too. Wish we could've gotten to that point, but unfortunately we just couldn't. read more

We have so many amazing options in this town, skip this place. I've given it two tries and both were sub par. The entrees are expensive and lack flavor. The drinks are small and service is slow and not overly friendly. Yes the manager stops by your table but what's the point if it's bad? The salmon was my dish of choice...$30 for a piece of fish that was fishy and seasoned with salt and pepper. The vegetables were completely raw. When I told them they were raw I was told they should be crunchy. I don't know about you but I prefer my butternut squash and brussels to be tender not taste like they were dumped out of a Costco bag onto my plate. They did comp my meal but really I'd have rather had a belly full of tasty food. Save yourself the time and money....go one block down for better food. read more

Absolutely WAY TOO LOUD. There were no guest at the bar, and only one other table of four people. The other guest were not loud. It was the design of the facility, noise could not be absorbed, we could not have a conversation. If you are looking for a quiet place after a day's work, or to catch up with friends this is not the place I would chose. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Bozeman. Food, atmosphere, and service are fabulous! The owner and staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. The menu has a great selection. The steaks are cooked to perfection (highly recommend the petite filet) and seafood is fresh. I would recommend the tempura green beans, Mac and cheese, elk burger, and salmon. The cocktails are easily the best in town and their wine list is very good. Prices are very competitive and reasonable for the quality of food. Lastly, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the bar area is a cool hangout spot. It has a very cozy, modern, tavern feel to it. Found this place on our last evening in Bozeman. The food was excellent as well as the cocktails!! The Manhattans were off the chart! Our table had the filet, the pork chop, and the ribeye! The pork chop was surprisingly out of this world. Lightly breaded and super moist. Steaks prepped perfectly. For apps we had the trout, mushroom risotto, Brussel sprouts and French fries.... everything very good! My only small complaint is we had to salt everything. AND do not forget the beignets... OMG . To top it off the staff was delightful. We spoke in length with owner and Jim who wasn't even our server was a riot! We had a wonderful time here. We were an unlikely group to show up at this relatively upscale restaurant...4 adults and 3 kids aged 3-5...but they didn't bat an eyelash and sat up in a lovely table conveniently for us (and the rest of the restaurant) in an isolated corner. Our waiter Jim was THE BEST and handled both the adults and children with humor and charm (and excellent service, of course). The decor is lovely, the food tasty and the service is fantastic. This had to be the worst dining experience I've had in my lifetime. It took 20 minutes for someone to notice we didn't have water or menus, and then had our drinks ran out by a different server because ours hadn't run them out in a timely fashion, even though they were just sitting on the bar. The food was overpriced and unimpressive. The steak was served at the wrong temperature, and every turkey dinner that was ran out with at least one item missing. The apple pie was ice cold and tasted like they bought it at Safeway. We spent over 2 hours there which seemed like it was at the expense of our servers life, she seemed to be bothered by everything we asked for. The owner himself seemed either drunk or losing his grasp on reality. The restaurant was maybe half full the whole night, and instead of apologies got excuses from our waitress. There was one waiter there who seemed to be the glue of the whole restaurant, and for his sake I hope he finds a restaurant that appreciates him. You couldn't pay me to return but it seems this restaurant can't even handle the clientele currently keeping them open. read more
