I've watched the many attempts by numerous bars and restaurants to plant themselves in the building, all lasting around a year. Out of all of the things that have occupied this space, I have enjoyed Stag the most and hope that they are able to stick around. Oklahoma City has very few indoor smoking bars, specifically cigar bars. I am no cigar connoisseur, but I do enjoy a cigar and glass of whiskey from time to time. Insert Stag...where it's okay to have a smoke and a drink. The prices are on par with similar establishments and the staff have always been great. For anyone that doesn't mind a little smoke, I encourage a trip over to Stag. It's sure to not disappoint! read more

We recently moved to Deep Deuce and have been making an effort to try all the bars in the area. While a cigar bar is totally not my thing, the delicious & expansive cocktail menu and shaded patio won me over. Incredible drink selection, drink specials, atmosphere*, AND cigars? Stag is my jam! The pros: the decor and ambiance are spot-on for settling in for a spell. The drink selection truly is remarkable - Shout out for them carrying 18-yr Flor de Cana, and 60% off wine bottles this month? Ridiculous (in the best way). Love that their cigar selection includes flavored cigars (e.g. vanilla latte, chocolate mint) - Yes, I'm that girl who loves me a "girly" cigar. The hubby and I stopped in early (around 7:45-8) on a Sat night - There were only a few other couples in the front room and the TV was playing the LSU-Florida game - Loved that we could watch the game, but it didn't feel like a sports bar, and that the TV was muted, so we could relax to the excellent jams playing (Led Zeppelin, White Stripes, etc.) in the background. And the bartender and "cigar guy" David, provided fantastic service. The cons: when it's only a few patrons, the smokiness level is tolerable, but when the evening wore on and the place started filling up, the smoke got to bingo-hall proportions... It was bad, and this is coming from an ex-smoker. Also, the later the night, the less-appealing the atmosphere became... Lots o' drunkenly-loud "brahs" and "bros" being thrown around. However, for those like me who still miss Makers, Stag will fit the bill. read more

I knew I would like Stag, but it surpassed every expectation. A friend and I met for a cigar and whiskey and the experience was more than we could have ever asked for. We sat in the room up the stairs to get away from the crowd so that we could talk, and the server went out of his way to make sure we were properly accommodated and served throughout the evening. When we sat down, he asked our names and throughout the entire experience he called us by name which made the experience top notch. He was very knowledgeable about all the cigars on hand as well as the whiskey. When we were ready, he took us to the humidor and explained exactly what each smoke would be like. He took his time to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for. Each drink was served and presented professionally. David, the manager, heard us talking about various scotches and answered many questions I had. I am a recent connoisseur and he helped walk us through the various scotches and what to look for in each. We ended up trying several different glasses with David and he shared about each distillery, their location, the story behind each glass, and what made each significant. David went on and on about how great the ownership of Stag was and you could see his passion for the establishment, cigars, and fine whiskey. When you typically think of a whiskey and cigar lounge you automatically think of how pretentious these places can be, and this was the total opposite. I knew that I would enjoy Stag, but this experience was one of the best in the world. Stop by this incredible place, but make sure you have time to enjoy the atmosphere, the whiskey and their cigar selection. I had a colleague who recommended this place. It was previously a whiskey joint but now a combination whiskey and cigar place. This was my first time going to a whiskey lounge. It was a small place aligned with rows of whiskey, scotch and other liquors. I tried what was familiar which was a glenfiddich 12 yr old. It was smooth with a hint of sweetness. I tried another drink which was a whiskey sour with egg white in it. I didn't like this version. I preferred it to be more sour. This place is great for large groups or small parties. The bartender and waitress were exceptional. They gave great recommendations when it came to what to have at the lounge. I would definitely come back. read more

About 2 weeks ago, I met up with a friend for drinks, but was never even acknowledged while sitting at the bar. I waited patiently as she poured drink after drink not even making eye contact. My girlfriend arrived about 5 minutes later. Still never bothered to acknowledge us, until my friend asked a gentleman on the side of the counter(standing as though he was waiting for something) if he worked there. He replied, no and directed her to the bartender who then proceeded to roll her eyes. We immediately gathered our things and headed over to Kong's Tavern. I have been been in this bar multiple times. The staff is friendly, my biggest problem, and it's not just one occurrence. It has been multiple. The bar manager, I'm guessing that his position, David. I have watched his scream at staff for no reason and degrade them in front of customers, which is ridiculous. And the last instance, that I have the most concern about was Monday November 6th he was so shit faced, up there he had fallen out of multiple chairs, yelled and belittled the staff that night, was throwing cards in the bar, refused an Uber, ran out the side door so no one would take his keys. The bar staff wasn't even serving him. He had one drink there, he showed up drunk from what I picked up one. It's completely unprofessional, especially him screaming to Bar patrons and fellow co workers, "in the fucking manager" and I do quote. I will no be returning. Which is sad because That has become my regular spot. read more
